No one hacked SCN, This is a famous issue(Bug). If some one having same name of yours then your/his BC always shows others posts, blogs etc.
I think he is back again.

  • The real Craig Cmehil ...

Hi Friends of the Coffee Corner,
Just got off the phone with the real Craig Cmehil, who is enjoying his well deserved vacation in Florida. Someone is impersonating him badly. There is only one Craig Cmehil.
If there is no moderator M or Mentor ! next to his name, it isn't him. In the background we are working on cleaning up this mess.
In the meantime, you can post a little hello to the real Craig by posting to this thread. He will read it once he is back.
    All the best, Mark.
P.S. We love the ABAP games here. No threads are closed ...

If you were thinking Real Craig was making fun means it would not offend any values of SCN(I strongly believe Real Craig wouldn't do such things),
But you had doubt so that's why i said(In my last reply)
It was the Coffee Corner, remember? Anything could happen -;) Also...I know Craig in real life...While he's strong when it comes to SCN Rules, he got a nice sense of humor...That's why I believe at first that he was the real one...Anyway...I was about to write him asking him for that, but as I realized that it was a fake one...Didn't want to screw his vacations with that...That's Mark F's job LOL
    Greetings,
    Blag.

Each project can only have one conversion rate for hours in days. SO if this is 8h/d then any 24h calendar day can fit in 3 "standard" 8h days. If your tasks with 24h days are just weekend cutovers or similar than consider using a duration of
hours as this makes it clear what's happening.

    Do that and you'll understand
It became a cult phrase which I was about to explain, but now I won't so as not to spoil the movie.
Let's just say Matt's comment was very appropriate and in good humour!

  • What are the Mandatory fields????

    Hi.... Experts...
Please spend your valueble time for me.... I can get back to you with 10 points....
Here I got a requirement to create contract with VA41 transaction...
But I am in confusion with feilds which should be must record...
Please guide me on mandatory fields of VA41 transaction....
    Thanks,
    Naveen.I

    Hi,
When ever you want to know the required fields for any transaction just try to run the Transaction In SHDB in forgroud mode with a recording name.
You will easily get to know the required fields to be entered for a given transaction.
Sometimes when we run this VA41, eventhough some fields are not mandatory we dont pass them but we willnt b able to create the document eventhough some fields are not mandatory to fill> To have the clear idea abt the manadotry fields try to run in SHDB.
for this VA41, ther mandatory fields are-
    contract type (VBAK-AUART)
Sales Area is a combintaiotn of SAles Org, SAles divnsion, Distirbution channel hende all 3 are required to be filled.
    1st screen-
    Sales Area(VBAK-VKORG)
    Division(VBAK-SPART)
    D.Channel(VBAK-VTWEG),
    2nd screen-
    Customer code(kunnr),
    Contract validity,
    material code(matnr),
    quantity
    plant(werks).

  • How to get SAPRFC working on XAMPP 1.6.2? Try this.

    Hi
I have just managed to get SAPRFC working with XAMPP 1.6.2 (released on  29/05/2007). I noticed there was not much information on XAMPP in the PHP Development forum, so thought this might be useful for anyone who may wish to use it.
I originally started with Craig Cmehil's post <a href="/people/sap.user72/blog/2005/05/15/getting-started-with-php started with PHP</a>. I already had XAMPP installed, so just needed to update it and add SAPRFC support.
    I am using the following:
    Windows XP SP2
    XAMPP 1.6.2 - <a href="http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-windows.html">http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-windows.html</a>
    This includes:
    1. Apache 2.2.4
    2. MySQL 5.0.41
    3. PHP 5.2.2 + 4.4.7 + PEAR + Switch
    4. And other modules included. See XAMPP website for more information on the extra modules included.
SAPRFC  1.4-5.20 - Re: PHP 5.2 and saprfc 1.4.1. This provided me with a link to SAPRFC 1.4-5.2.0. Using the php_saprfc.dll file included in this ZIP file solved the problem.
    <u>Instructions</u>
    1. Install XAMPP and follow setup taking defaults (I installed to C:\DEV\XAMPP)
    2. Extract SAPRFC to a suitable location (e.g. C:\DEV\SAPRFC)
    3. Copy the php_saprfc.dll file to the XAMPP\PHP\EXT folder (as defined in the extensions_dir in PHP.INI).
    4. Copy the remainder of the SAPRFC ZIP file to the XAMPP\HTDOCS folder. Create subdirectory if required.
    4. Edit PHP.INI and add the line <i>extensions=php_saprfc.dll</i> You will need to add this after the last <i>extensions=<some_extension>.dll</i> line.
    5. Shutdown and restart Apache using the XAMPP Control.
    6. Launch Internet Explorer and go to page <i>http://localhost/saprfc_test.php</i> or if you have put the SAPRFC PHP files in a subdirectory go to <i>http://localhost/yoursubdirectory/saprfc_test.php</i>.
    7. By running the saprfc_test.php file you should see a logon page.
It should now be working on the PHP 5.2.2. I have not tested with the 4.4.7 version.
That's all you need to do, so you should now be able to test some of the examples that are in the Blogs.
    Best of luck
    Nick

    Hello everybody,
I've found simple solution for all problems with "Generate Activation Context failed for  ... php_saprfc.dll". This has something to do with missing libraries at your system.
The next trace in Event viewer -> System was:
"Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC80.CRT could not be found and Last Error was The referenced assembly is not installed on your system.
The solution is install: Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86)
"vcredist_x86.exe" available at Microsoft downloads page.
    Good luck
    Michal.

    anln1 like anla-anln1,
    anln2 like anla-anln2,

when you are using Fieldcatalog merge you have to avoid using the TYPES Declaration of the internal table.
Instead of that you can do this
data: begin of it_final occurs 0,
    equnr like itob-equnr,
    anln1 like anla-anln1,
    anln2 like anla-anln2,
    bukrs like anla-bukrs,

    kostl like itob-kostl,
            end of it_final.

  • SAP Scripting Languages on the SDN Day - Amsterdam

I would like to give a short summary of what happened on the SDN Day in Amsterdam, the 17-th Oct. 2006.
After the breakfast Craig Cmehil gave us a welcome to the event and presented the schedule. We started with a power networking session: Four 20-minute Sessions with Six SDNers per Table. As I was sitting at the Scripting Languages table, I would like to share some impressions of the atmosphere there. We talked much about the emmerging SAP Scripting Tool and how much value it will bring to all scripting projects that plan to utilize SAP backend systems. We discussed Gregor Wolf's contest and he was so kind to inform us that his test system is also available inside the SAP corporate network, so all SAP employees now can participate too. Gregor works for Siteco Beleuchtungstechnik GmbH and the award they offer for the contest is a Siteco Vistosa task light. More information about the contest can be found at https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/4588. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] Another key discussion was held with Björn Schotte, the chief editor of PHP Magazine, Germany, presenting also his company Mayflower Gmbh. He shared some visions on business applications of PHP and stated that PHP is definitely enterprise ready.
Then after a very short pause we started the SDN breakout sessions (3-5 in parallel). I visited the sessions of Gregor Wolf, André Labahn, Björn Schotte and after this I cooperated for the breakout session of Frank Mittag.
    Session 1:
Connecting Typo3 to R/3 Enterprise via Web Services with Gregor Wolf from Siteco Beleuchtungstechnik GmbH
Siteco Beleuchtungstechnik GmbH currently implements a customer service centre into it's Typo3 based website. Typo3 is an Open Source Web Content Management system based on the Scripting Language PHP. The application will allow Siteco's customers to directly check price & availability of products from the backend R/3 Enterprise system, quotations, orders and delivery status. The backend connectivity uses Web Services utilise the PEAR SOAP Package.
    Session 2:
SAP supports Scripting Languages with Andre Labahn from SAP.
This session will provide you with more insights on how SAP is supporting scripting languages.
    Session 3:
Scripting Languages PHP and Enterprise Software with Björn Schotte (Chief Editor from PHP Magazine).
This session showed us a brief history of PHP and PHP in Germany. Some enterprise applications of PHP were discussed. Björn Schotte was the opinion that PHP is definitely enterprise ready and he proved it with an example of a system that his company has created for Siemens.
    Session 4:
Scripting Languages Tool with Frank Mittag and Vasil Bachvarov (me) from SAP
SAP will provide a open source tool to the scripting development community that is supporting the access to SAP Backend Systems via RFC/BAPIs and Webservices. See the concept and demo of the tool and discuss this with SAP Development.
There was a pretty interesting discussion about the tool. Since the time for the last session shrinked with some minutes we had to be very quick, but Frank Mittag did a great job and succeeded to explain the basic concept of the SAP Scripting Tool and show it in action for the tough time constraint.
There were a lot of questions from the audience but it was already 18:30 and we stopped at this point. There would be a second chance for questions on thursday when Frank had the opportunity to make a more complete and comprehensive walk-through of the project.
Then we gathered in the meeting hall and Shai Agassi held a speech and made a summary of the event.
The evening finished in the BoomChicago theater where everybody received a delicious meal, drinks and a great amount of fun with the ChicagoBoom comic crew.
I would like to thank all people that made this event come true! See you soon in Bangalore.
    Best Regards,
    Vasil Bachvarov

I'm be there in Amsterdam as well.  In fact I am leaving the US on Sunday and arriving early Monday morning in Amsterdam.
I was planning to do a little site seeing on Monday Afternoon.  If anyone else is arriving a bit early as well, they are welcome to join me.  It is always more fun to site see in groups.  My email address is public in my SDN business card (also not too difficult to figure out ) if anyone is interested in meeting up.

  • How to combine 2 xmls in a single message ?

    Hi Guys,
I have a requirement where i need to do the HTTP post and the xml request should be as below
The AddressValidationRequest message consists of two complete XML documents. The first document is an AccessRequest. It is immediately followed by an AddressValidationRequest.

    </AddressKeyFormat>
    </AddressValidationRequest>
I know it is invalid to have the second xml declaration, but the 3rd party system expects in this manner. Is there any way i can insert the xml verion tag either with DOM ?
any help or suggestions would be appreciated and awarded.
    Thanks,
    Srini

    Hi,
You can try that in Java Mapping without using any Parser. You have to use Java input and output stream and construct this as normal string of this format and send it to end system.
PS: by using io streams the performance will be reduced, but it will fulfill your requirement
    thanks

  • How to restrict the values in seach helps

    Dear All,
I am new to the BSP concept.I have a requirement
where in the BSP i need to restrict the values of the search help.i.e. 2 values are coming in the help i need to display only 1 value.

    Hi,
I assume that you read values for the search help with function 'F4IF_FIELD_VALUE_REQUEST' and in a later step you display values with <htmlb:tableview>. If that is true and the function is delivering too many records as you mention, you could then restrict the output table of values like this:
    TABLES mara.
DATA: mytable TYPE TABLE OF ddshretval WITH HEADER LINE.
    DATA l_repid TYPE syrepid.
    PARAMETERS p_mtart LIKE mara-mtart.

  • Sender SOAP (Scenario)

    Hi Guys,
Here is my scenario where client has a Java Web Aplication to get connected to my Backend System using RFC.This happens through XI.
I produce the Outbound Interface in the Form of WebService (By generating WSDL file)
Here we use Sender SOAP Adapter. I want to implement security level using key / certificates.
Now important thing here is the people who are going to login donot have username on PI box.
Now how can assign the certificate to the users who are external in my visual admin.
Hope my scenario is clear . Kindly post u r views on this.
    With regards
    Srini

    Hi,
I guess the Service user which you would have created will be in XI abap stack only. You need to provide the url and the userId, pwd to the web service client so that they will be bale to invoke your webservice.. you don't have to give the service user details in Soap Sender Adapter. It is just for ypur web client to acesss your webservice.
The url will be like this:
    http://<serverhost>:<port>/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=<party>:<ServiceName>:<Channel Name>
I hope it clears your doubt.
    Thanks
    Amit
