Crash and Memory errors in Dreamweaver MX/8/9/10. No idea!
After executing Dreamweaver v8-10, program work fine, but if switch between application (Alt-Tab for exemple), program crash (exit with code 0xc0000005). This error show different debuggers. Windows show defaoul error "The memory could not memory "read"". Dreamweaver MX don't start. Try
almost all, what may changing situation. Disable DEP, checking RAM with memtest86, remove all Adobe products, cleaning registry, delete all setting data. Run program from safe-mode, without services of OS, closing almost all not standart, unload antivirus ware, and firewall. No change:( This trouble static, and no changing. In another software this problem do't viewing.
System:
OS: Windows Xp Pro SP3
MB: Asus P5K SE
CPU: Inter Core 2 Duo 2.6 MHz L2
RAM: 2x1Gb Kingston 800MHz
GPU: Sapphere Radeon 1950 SE 512 Mb
Kasperski Internet Security 2009
.NET Framework 3.5
Visual C++ Express SP1
I understanding, this is system bug. But don't know, how this can be fixed? 2 days i tring, but 0% succses:( Else Flash begin work more correctly, with third-party components:) Anybody may help to me? I searching so much, but no result. I could reinstal Operating System now, and one software, bad motivation.
It seems that there is a conflict in accessing memory. When I replaced the video card driver to the older, I noticed that CrushDoctor can not recover from the terminate dreamweaver.exe, endlessly shifting to other memory addresses. Before replacing the driver of such attempts have been up 2-3 times. But, given the experience run in Safe-Mode, it is not clear which system process in the memory, can interfere dreamweaver any version?

Hi guys,
Hi, and welcome to the forums.
hope somebody can help me with this issue with TM.
I decided to restore my entire system from a backup I got in an external hard drive ( formatted mac Os Journaled). I didnt exclude any folder from the backup.
Basically using the mac osx installation disk
Which one? If you used a Leopard Install disc, that's the problem. You need to use a +Snow Leopard+ disc to restore a +Snow Leopard+ backup. (Unfortunately, Apple doesn't exactly make that clear -- you are far from the first!)
If your system is not too large, and didn't take more than an hour or so to restore, just do it over.
If it's a lot larger, though, you can just install Snow Leopard. Your Mac should boot up normally, but don't use any apps yet. First, download and install the 10.6.5 "combo" update. Info and download available at: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1324 Be sure to do a +Repair Permissions+ via Disk Utility (in your Applications/Utilities folder) afterwards. -
Firefox constantly crashes and sends error reports
Hello,
I've installed the latest version of firefox on my new computer (which uses Windows 8) but it constantly crashes and sends error reports. Often when I send the error report and restart firefox, it just crashes again before the pages can even restore. I've reset firefox but this hasn't sorted the problem. I even tried completely uninstalling firefox and reinstalling it but this hasn't helped either. I've tried running it with no addons too but this hasn't helped either!
I'd be really grateful if someone could help me. Thanks in advance. If you installed Firefox 19, it has a known issue with certain graphics cards on Windows 8. Try installing Firefox 18.0.2 over your existing installation (no need to uninstall Firefox 19 first).

Just installed Mac OS X 10.8.5 on a Mac Pro 2010 platform.
The App Store shows there is an upgrade, so I click the download button.
After about 2 hrs the process stops and an Error (102) appears on the screen.
Any idea what goes wrong?

Thank you for the response.
The upgrade I'm interested is for OS X v.10.8.5...
...The App Store page shows 2 different upgrades:
Mountain Lion (10.8.5) Software Upgrade, and
Yosemite FREE upgrade
If the App Store is showing 10.8.5 as an update, what do you currently have installed? The final update to Mountain Lion was 10.8.5, and since the basic OS installation of Mountain Lion is no longer offered in the App Store, that would suggest you're currently at an earlier version of Mountain Lion - 10.8.x where x=less than 5. If that's the case, I'd suggest getting the 10.8.5 update. There is also a Supplemental Update for 10.8.5 and that may be what the App Store is offering. -

3 beeps = no good banks. You will have to go to the Apple Store for immediate service. If you would rather do it yourself, go to https://selfsolve.apple.com/GetWarranty.do. If you want Apple's help (without having to go to the Apple store), go to https://expresslane.apple.com/GetproductgroupList.do?PRKEYS=SG1.

HP pavilion dv6-61 48nr Entertainment PC crashed and get error OxcOOOOOOf
Idifoblem with my pc-ware it had been hacked. Took it to a local businessman who agreed. Got it back and before I really cheup.ed it out--had a new router with a new password installed by internet provider. The IT who worked on it said he was going to "Reformat and reinstall windows". He called me to ask if I had backed up my personal files. I told him " no but remove everything ". He saved all kinds of files and reinstalled them. Within a day I started having problems again. I realized quickly that someone had remote access to my PC. Within a couple of days there was a hidden network set up using my router. My ISP said I was connected but I wasn't. They said it was my problem and should be reported. I was never able to get my settings to match the ones on his hidden network--naturally, since my pc was being remotely controlled. I was totally locked out of many files. There were a lot hidden, but I found a way to get them to show up. I could not get online and I got so angry that I opened the registry using the command regedit. This person probably thought I was too stupid to know anything. Anyway, I started deleting his files and crashed the PC. I had my back up discs and was going to reinstall. (Couldn't use them first time because whoever had hacked it had done something to the CD/DVD drive and it was stuck half open/half shut. The local guy put a used one in. I didn't check it before I deleted half the registry.
I ran the diagnostic tests and the hard disk passed, as did the memory test...both the quick and the full. So I put my recovery disk in and ggrrrrr it gave me the message "Status: 0xc000000f. Info: The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible." At this point I was ready to destroy it...then I got on iPad, which I hate, and did a search on the status/info I got and found hundreds had the same problem--all seemingly originating from different problems. Now I am wondering if there IS a way to restore it without spending a fortune on it. ANY help would be greatly appreciated!!! LexiHi @Lexi_25 ,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums. Sorry to hear about you getting hacked and I will be happy to help with the “boot selection failed error message”. You will need either an installation CD or a repair CD to fix this issue. This third-party link will show you how to create a repair CD, which you can do on another Windows 7 machine.
Please click “Accept as Solution ” if you feel my post solved your issue.
Click the “Kudos Thumbs Up" on the right to say “Thanks” for helping!
Thank you,

Would appreciate any help you could provide.Tangent:
I would recommend this Wiki entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WinDbg
Begin with the first link in the list at the bottom.
OK, Mike, you've got me. Why would you recommend a Wikipedia entry only to say that someone should start with the first link at the bottom? Why not link directly to whatever it is you want to link to?
I'm also kind of confused...are you recommending How to install Windbg and get your first memory dump, blogs.msdn.com/b/johan/archive/2007/01/11/how-to-install-windbg-and-get-your-first-memory -dump.aspx?
If so, you have me puzzled. It's not wrong information, but we don't want a memory dump. We just want a stack trace. That's the 'kp' command, I believe. I don't have a nice fancy URL to recommnd, so maybe I shouldn't nitpick yours, but it doesn't look very helpful for the problem at hand.
p.s.: it also seems to recommend loading a bunch of extensions that are not helpful here. Like SOS. All that's needed is the core WinDBG. -
This has happened *multiple times* on two Multitouch MacBook Pros (Feb 2008, 2.4 GHz, 200 GB harddrive, 2 GB RAM, 256 MB VRAM):
Occasionally, for no apparent reason, the computer will get into a cycle where the mouse freezes for about 20 seconds, then control comes back for about 10 seconds, then the mouse freezes for 20, repeatedly until the computer crashes.
This usually is accompanied with graphics glitches and artifacts. The latest time I managed to get a screenshot (the computer was resuming from sleep when it happened). This is the worst glitching I have seen so far: http://img504.imageshack.us/my.php?image=errorcx1.jpg (I blacked out the contact list)
It doesn't seem to be from overheating or pushing the graphics card (my MBP has played games with no problems). I've also managed to kill WindowServer, but the problem just comes back once the WindowServer restarts.
Console prints this error hundreds of times:
5/28/08 8:47:12 AM /usr/libexec/hidd[50] IOHIDEventQueueEnqueue: Error enqueuing memory. (0xe00002e8)
Parallels used to frequently cause this, but I've since removed Parallels (and switched to VMWare), gotten a replacement MBP (for an unrelated issue), and have reinstalled Leopard.
(I've also had the vertical LCD backlight issue a few times on both MBPs - http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1423301&tstart=0)

sadly, I have to report I got same problems. It definitely started back with 10.5.2 and I'm quite confident it was related to Graphic Update or VmWare Fusion network traffic. By upgrading to 10.5.3 I haven't seen any more of graphic glitches and artifacts, but problems is still there, and very hard to simulate.
So far I've seen it only on my MBP (connected using Airport), and not when connected to Ethernet. It seems to be somehow connected to network problems and how VmWare Fusion is handling it. Today, when it crashed, I capture following in my system.log

Hello,
I am 90% done with a video that is about 20 minutes long. It contains video and photo images. I cannot complete the project because PrE keeps crashing I believe due to memory. My machine is XP with 4GB RAM.
I took the steps recommended. All my photos have been reduced to 1000X750, then placed in a slideshow (from Organizer). I reset my virtual memory to settings 4GB and 8GB (max). I was a bit confused because I set both my C and D HDD's on these settings and I'm not sure which Windows is actually using for virtual memory.
I can only work about a minute before the system seems to overload then crashes. I'm in a bit of trouble with this and would appreciate any help. Thank you! StanStan,
At about 70% of capacity, a HDD begins to slow down, and its performance deteriorates, the closer to 100% one comes.
Now, if you only have one physical HDD, C:\, and add an additional HDD, D:\, I would create a folder for each of your Projects. Then, I would Move my Assets from C:\. Here, one has several choices, which I will get into in a bit. I would Move my PREL files to their respective Project folders. The Scratch Disks, with the Media Cache, Render Files, etc., can be Moved, or probably better, can be Deleted, as PrE will regenerate those - the CFA's and PEK's, when you Open the Project (be patient, until that work is done, and just watch the little "progress bar" in the lower-right of the GUI. In Edit>Preferences, set Scratch Disk to "Same as Project," which will now be on your D:\. When needed, you can hit Enter, to Render the parts of your Timeline, that will need it. I would not bother Moving those Render Files, as it might not work to reestablish the links to them, and it will only take a few moments to Render again.
Now, once you have done the Move, when you Open one of the PREL files, the links to the Assets will NOT be valid. Those links are absolute Paths, and you will have changed the drive letter, so they will be broken. PrE will ask you, "Where is file _____ ?" and present you with navigation screens, and also a Finder. Just navigate to the new folder on D:\, where the first missing Asset is, and PrE will link to it, then survey that folder, and re-link all Assets used in that Project. If you have sub-folder with the Assets, you will need to repeat for each sub-folder, but only for the first un-linked file in each. For more detail, see this ARTICLE.
For setting up Project folders, and sub-folders, this ARTICLE gives you my scheme. It is not the only way to do it, so feel free to adapt from it, to suit the way that you like to work. If you notice, I have my media files stored elsewhere, and only use Copies of them in the sub-folders. The location of your media files is a personal choice. Some keep them in sub-folders by subject, or maybe date, and just link to the ones Imported, from there. I like to keep mine separate, and just Copy them to, say the Video sub-folder below my Project's root folder. This is your choice.
Also, and before you do anything with that new D:\, there is another possible workflow - the Project Archiver. It will create a Copy of your Project, on the Destination Disk that you choose - D:\ in this case. It will gather up the Assets, and Copy them too, but depending on the folder structure, where those Assets resided, at Import, there can be some "missing files." If you use Project Archiver, make sure to test the Project, that it Copied over to D:\, to make sure that it was able to get everything, and that there are no problems with this Copy of your Project.
I would give this some thought, before you do anything. Plan how you'd like to handle it, before you Move, Copy or Delete the very first file. Also, and since you are starting with at least a half-way "clean slate," this gives you the opportunity to decide on the folder structure, that works best for you.
In the end, cleaning your Projects, your Media and your Scratch Disks off of C:\, and locating them onto D:\, will likely speed things up.
In an ideal world, one would have a C:\, with ONLY the OS, programs and possibly the Page File, or part of it. Then, they would have their Media on a separate, physical HDD. Last, they would have their Projects, and their Scratch Disks on yet a third physical HDD. If one only has 2 physical HDD's, then they would combine the latter two, onto one physical HDD.
In my folder/sub-folder scheme, above, I sacrifice some performance, by not splitting my Media and my Projects/Scratch Disks over separate HDD's, but I use the portability of my FW-800 externals, between machines, and then have a "one-touch" Delete (the Project's root folder), when I have finished. Were I not using the portability, I would split the Media to one HDD, and Projects/Scratch Disks to another. As the originals of my Media are on my NAS, what I would have on that second HDD would just be Copies, and I would use the same Project folder, as on the other HDD, for each Project. Then, I would know which Project was included, and would then have a "two-touch" Deletion - one for the Project and everything under it, and one for that Project's Media Copies.
Good luck,
Hunt -
ITunes 10.7.0.21 crashing and memory usage
Running on Windows 7 64 bit. This is the first version I have had this issue with. After running for several minutes, iTunes will do one of three things:
Crash
Freeze, and require me to force it closed in the task manager
Display a recurring message about not enough memory
Watching it more closely, iTunes seems to continue to take up more and more memory the longer it is running, which I suspect is the cause of all three symptoms.
Anyone else experiencing this memory leak problem?
Is this just a problem with this version that I'll have to wait until the next one, or is there a fix?I am having the very same issues, admittedly with and older (5 yrs) Windows Vista 32-bit Dell laptop. I had been holding out for a little while on allowing iTunes to upgrade on my computer, and had no issues or complaints with iTunes 7, 8, or 9. But after I allowed it to upgrade today, 10.7 is worthless.
After a few minutes, iTunes pops up with a message regarding insufficient memory, freezes, then crashes. Not even using video, just putting together a playlist of regular file size songs.
I know after reading a bit on the boards that trying to re-install version 9 may cause some things to be lost in translation from 10 to 9, apparently because of some changes in the way the software is set up. Please correct me if that is not the case.
However, I would rather risk it (I have all of my music files on an external hard drive) than to keep having iTunes behave as it is- making the software that I've been using for years worthless to me since it cannot work correctly.
By the by, I know my laptop is ancient by technology standards, but won't be upgrading quite yet.
If you know a reliable source to download the previous versions of iTunes for Windows, I'd be grateful if you could point me in the right direction. I'm fairly computer savvy, and know that I'll need to un-install the most recent iTunes version prior to installing an older version. -
Muse crashed and afterwards, error message saying site file damaged and will not open
I was working on a muse file when it shut down due to "an error". When I tried to open the file again, it told me that the site was damaged and could not be opened. I have a PC and I would like to know if there is any way I can get the file checked out to see if it is recoverable in any way. I have two versions of the file, the original damaged muse file and a gzip file that I got from recovering some of the files.
Hi,
This is not a sure sort fix and only if you are comfortable you may try these steps to recover your file :-
1. First, Create a backup copy of your Muse file and then perform the following steps on the copy.
2.Change the extension of the file from .muse to .rar.
4.Open it using the WinRAR application.
5.Winrar throws a warning stating that you attempted to open damaged archive, you can safely Ignore the warning.
6.Go to Tools->Repair Archive. This ensures that the archive and hence, the .muse file is repaired.
7.Change the extension back to .muse.
This is not a sure sort fix but this sometimes helps in recovering files that have got corrupt due to unexpected crash.

My 5 month old U260 was working fine until recently, when I keep on getting code 43 as a USB error regardless of how much I try to disable and enable it. I've scoured the forums and can't seem to find a reason or solution for this - it's a serious problem because there is only one USB port that works for the most frequent type of USBs
The second problem is that it keeps on crashing. Sometimes I can barely start it before it crashes, but other types it will be a few hours in.
Can anyone help with either problem? I haven't dropped it or damaged it at all as far as I know.
Thanks!

Need more detailed info on ''The second problem is that it keeps on crashing''
That's Windows crashing,right?
Are you getting any error messages,or the like?
When did this problem first start*
After an update perhaps(driver(s) programs,Windows?
Did you try a system restore ?
Did you do any troubleshooting?

K8T Neo2 crashing and memory issues
I bought myself a new PC in late december and have started experiencing some problems with it
Brief system specs:
MSI K8T Neo2
Athlon64 3200
512Mb Samsung PC3200 DDR400
ATI All in wonder radeon 9800 pro
LG DVD writer
Windows XP SP-1
Antec SLK3700BQE case, which came with what I think is an Antec smartpower SL350 PSU
I had two sticks of memory (both the same type), but one of the sticks failed memtest badly so I sent it back and got a working replacement. Both sticks would pass lengthy bouts of memtest on their own, but would fail occasionally if I put both in (It didn't seem to matter if it was in a DDR configuration or not, but I didn't test non DDR pairings as much). I tried turning down the ram speed in the bios, but it didn't seem to help. Any advice on getting this to work would be great.
A much more serious problem I'm having is crashing - The system will ocassionally shut itself down leaving the monitor without a signal. Sometimes I can reset the system, others I have to switch off the power before the system will respond at all again. In the past there was sometimes graphical corruption before the failure, although lately it has just been a black screen. This happens most frequently when working with games using 3D graphics, although infrequently will happen when web browsing. The crashing seems to have become more frequent lately, particularly since a local heat wave. The problem may have become more pronounced when I bought the DVD writer to replace a very old CD-ROM, although its hard to judge because I replaced the bad memory stick at the same time.
According to core center the temperatures seem to run under 50 degrees, but the 12V volatage is listed at only 11.12 to 11.18. Is my PSU the culprit here, or are these symptoms of a different problem?Your PSU could well be the cause. Can you post its amps at 3,3v / 5v / 12v here? Antec PSU's usually do not have high efficiency (most likely 60-70%), so if the amps are already low and efficiency is too, my guess would be your PSU. It could seriously damage your board, cpu or vid card by the way...
Try solving the mem problem by raising the Vmem by 0.05v or by raising the latencies some (or both).... -
Skype crash and disk errors - a cautionary tale
Skype crashed (again) hanging the whole computer. Forced shutdown: restarted in single-user mode and ran Applejack. Reported a number of overlapping files. Nasty.
Ran DiskWarrior. It reported 197,192 overlapping files and hung. I thought about it a bit, re-ran Applejack and flushed the caches. This left only a couple of minor errors which were easily repaired.
Presumably Skype messed up its own cache files (197,000 though...!). Anyway, despite what Applejack's instructions say, it looks like it's worth clearing the caches before doing a disk repair - or at least before doing anything else if this sort of error shows up.Most modern drives automatically map bad sectors during use. It is a transparent process. Just because the drive has bad sectors means nothing - practically every drive will have them. What would be disturbing is if the automatic sector mapping is failing and is not discovering the bum sectors. This is why once a drive starts to behave badly and DiskWarrior can''t fix it, I never trust it again.
If I keep it in use, about the only thing it's good for is a render scratch drive - that is - a drive that simply holds temp files. That way, when it dies, nothing serious is lost. Using it as your only back up, especially after it has given fair warning of going bad, would be ... um ... not smart.
Under the fwiw category, external drives can act flaky simple through dying power supplies. The drive mechanism may be fine but is being corrupted by intermittent or wavering voltage.
Also, I'm no fan of partitioning. ymmv.

After Effects Issues Scrub/Crash and Memory Issue.
I am sorry if this is redundant. I have Windows XP (SP3) 3 Gb or Ram and adequite hard drive space. When I run After Effects, it loads fine. Import, fine. Scrub timeline. ERROR: Texture too small, GL error, After Effects Crahses.
Then when I render, my ram reaches 60% stops rendering.
I will dl the updates and see if tha fixes it. In the meantime is there anything I should know or any settings I should use to boost performance?
Thanks,
Allan H.B. Martin
[email protected]Well, for the first error simply turn off OpenGL. Apparently your graphics card is not up to snuff, has a flakey driver or is mis-configured somehow. The second is too generic. When asking such questions, you must provide more info - footages used, target format, effects used etc.. Also have the renderer log more details with the Extra per Frame Info option as well as watching the render status closely (untwirl the details sections to see the current layers/ comps being processed).
