Crash & Burn Issues / Same But Different

Good people , I'm in need! I've read hours of q&a's but can't seem to
land on the specific thread. In short,my trouble (seems) to be, mouse/cursor related.
My normally rock solid system freezes up under the most simple of chores.
Put simply, when I have several windows open and switch back and forth,click-drag
or scroll sliders, my system will freeze .
I have switched out the mouse, checked all connections and re-arranged usb cables in infinite combinations The issue seems to be random , but occours in
i-tunes, photo shop and garage band .
I thank you in advance for any ideas .

That depends on the license agreement of the program. *If it is legal*, then you can look into the Home folder of your old account, go to the Library folder, open Preferences, and look for a file (or files) called com.[company name].[program name].plist. Then you can copy that/those files to the same place in your new account. They may also be in the Application Support folder.
I had to create another user because I was having BIZARRO font issues with the main user account (but none of the others), so I can't just "go back" (besides I am already through the worst of it, but would like to keep this from happening again).
What was the issue? Try deleting the com.apple.systemUIserver.plist file from the ~/Library/Preferences folder in your old account.

128 GB limit Hard Drive - All the same but different

I'm currently replacing a dead drive with a Western Digital Blue 500gb in a G4 2X500. The drive is only reading 128 GB. Normally the answer to the question is you need a card.
My issue: I have another drive attached to a card that's reading 500 gb it's jumped as cable-select (which WD Documentation states the Mac doesn't support.) I've tried several combinations of attaching the drive on the same ribbon to no result. I've also directly attached it to the second ata input on the card. Nothing. I'm running out of ideas (althought I'm thinking of selecting a master/slave combination for the two drives on the same ribbon.)
Anyone have any thoughts or ideas?

If you formatted it on the Built-in ATA Bus, you probably ran up against the 128 GB limit due to your Hardware pre-dating the mid-2002 Macs mentioned in that article.( I must admit that article is information-dense and takes several readings to sort out how it applies to a particular situation.)
The issue I believe you now face is that different Drivers are used when connecting to the card Vs connecting to the built-in Bus.
When you initialize on the built-in Bus, only the drivers for the Built-in ATA controller are loaded onto the drive. When you look closely in Disk Utility, the active data partition will likely be about slice 3 \[partition 3], and references to it may read something like "disk2s3".
When you connect the drive to the PCI-slot Card, the SCSI driver is typically used. If the SCSI driver is not presnt on the drive \[which may be true in your case] the drive will not mount.
When you initialize the drive in an external enclosure or attached to the card, Drivers for all potential access methods are installed. When you look closely in Disk Utility, the active data partition will likely be about slice 10 \[partition 10], and references to it may read something like "disk2s10".
Once initialized on the card, all the drivers required will be present. But since the drive is larger than the 128 GB limit enforced on your Built-in ATA Bus, moving the drive back to the Built-in Bus will probably preclude mounting any partition that extends beyond the 128 GB barrier. So if you want to move it back to the built-in Bus later, creating a 127.9 GB (or smaller) partition as the first partition would be a good thing to try.

Same material and customer but different prices for different regions

Hi all,
I have a scenario, wherein material and customer are same but different ship-to-parties. Prices vary for the material for different regions.
Kindly suggest how to maintain condition records in this scenario. I have tested for a material for different regions but with the same prices which is working fine, but now I have to do this with different prices.
Your suggestion will be very helpful as this is very important in this business.

I have right now only four key combinations for PR00;
1. Customer/Material with release status.
2. Pricelist Category/currency/Material with release status.
3. Material with release status.
4. Price group/Material.
Can this be done with the 2nd Key Combination?
Item data; Sales B tab shows Price List as Retail and Wholesale; here we have only Wholesale Business. Kindly suggest.

APM how to create APM application group for same application but different application paths

Hi all,
We have few applications which are of same name but different application path.
Please check the screenshot. When we create different application groups using APM wizard, we still get errors mentioning the conflict. How to resolve this issue.

Three types of restaurant menus with same dishes but different prices.

I have to artwork three types of menus for a small restaurant chain. These menus have the same dishes and same background but different prices per restaurant. I will be sending three high res PDFs to print and would like to know if there is a way of doing this without creating three versions of the menues. I know I could create layers and have a layer per restaurant with the text boxes on, turning off and on as I create my PDFs for print but can I have text within the text block that I can turn on and off? Two text blocks, one with prices and one without, is not an option becaues the text all needs to run round together. The reason for this is if a dish needs to be amended it only has to be done once to the master dish. I hope this makes sense.

With regard to the data merge method I am not sure this would work for me because there is a lot of text and I need them to flow from page to page so would need all the text and prices in one text block (I hope I have understood your method correctly MW Design!). I have just had a look at the Conditional Text method and that seems as though it might work for me but one issue I might have is if one dish is removed form a menu all together then the text will run up from another block. I am sure there is a way once I have the master menu done to force the text to the next text block after the last dish I want on that page and then enlarge the text block a little to accommodate any movement of the dishes on that page, I will look into that!

Yes, it is possible. If one is CI (PAS) and the second one is an AS (AAS). In this case there will be only one database.
If you are talking about two separate SAP systems with separate databases (Eg: A BI and an ECC) with the same SID then the problem will be with the database (Eg: Oracle)
The database will be installed under /oracle/SID/112_64 (ORACLE_HOME) unless one database is running on 10 G and in that case the ORACLE_HOME will be /oracle/SID/102_64
The next issue will be with the SAP file systems like /sapmnt/SID
The most important problem will be with the switch to the sidadm and orasid users and the conflicts there. If there is a need to stop one of the SAP systems and if you do a switch to sidadm and issue a stopsap command which system will be stopped ?
These are few of the many problems I can think of.
So if we are talking about two separate systems with their own databases I would rule out the possibility of having two systems with the same SID.

Two apps, same functionality but different branding? (Product Flavors?)

I would like to release two versions of my application. The implementation is basically the same but with a different branding.
So there may be different texts, images, resources, API endpoints. Also it should have its own
Package.appxmanifest and Package.StoreAssociation.xml since these are going to be different for two different store builds.
In the end I'm looking for something like "Product Flavors" on
Android.

It offers the functionality to overwrite basically everything you want to for each different product flavor.
Is there a way to create something like different build targets to overwrite any files I want to?
I think creating different projects won't be an options since the project is a Universal Project which already has 2 projects with a shared library. I would need to create 2 sub-projects for each of them to achieve such functionality?!

I'm still trying to come up with a perfect solution.
The biggest issue is all the image assets (e.g. the tile icon, etc.). I haven't figured out a way to dynamically change the tile and store images or app package name. To overcome this I am using a mostly empty project that contains all that stuff and just
calls a separate main project and passes along an object containing the other branding details (colour scheme, app name, etc.).
So my apps have a branded project and a main project. You can build the main project separately and add a reference to it to your main solution (which contains only the branded components and no actual code or pages).
In a sense the branded project serves as a 'head' to your app. It's essentially empty.
I have no experience with pre-build steps, but you should be able to swap out the tile images. I will look into that myself as it may be a more elegant solution than what I'm using.
You could set up conditionali compiling (you need to create different compile options like 'ReleaseBrandA', then in your code you can do this:
#if ReleaseBrandA
// brand A specific code
#endif
If you build your app with enough foresight you can probably avoid that by keeping any brand-specific code in the branded project.

Uninstall Parallels, VirtualBox, Log Me In and Airparrot and reboot.
Run like that for some time and see if your problems disappear, if not then run through this list of fixes.
Step by Step to fix your Mac
If everything is going fine, then install/update Parallels and run it for some time, then VirtualBox, then the last two which are highly suspect.
Visit the forums for those softwares and see if there are others with problems.

Hi,
I am trying to create a report in OBIEE 11.1.1.5 where In the same report using the same criteria, I can have different views which applies different filter.
Suppose, I have a report criteria as
Dim1, Dim2, Measure1, Measure 2.
I want to create two pivot view based on the same data.
One view will be showing data Dim1="Value1". The other view is duplicate of this view but will show data Dim1="Value2".
Is it possible in OBIEE?
basically what I want is work on the same dataset but different representation and show them in the same report. Please share your opinion.

You create a new dim dummy column in criteria and in presentation level create new pivot table view use this dummy dimension column and filter with dim1=value2.

Only one credit card can be on an iTunes account at any one time - presumably if they are shared credit cards with the same card number then it's the same credit card account with the one bill, so from a billing/payment point of view does it make any difference which card is on the account(s) ?
