Crash during upload new or old firmware into AP1200

After downloading new firmware from cisco.com
i try to load him into AP1200,
but process was interupted at boot phase with new firmware.
Bootloader print this:
Initialization: Unexpected Boot Error
And now i can`t run ANY new or old firmware.
Only load into AP, not run.
I try some new and old version firmware with same result!
My device is AIR-AP1220B-E-K9

I tried to upgrade firmware from VxWorks 12.00T to IOS version
with downloaded image: AP1200-Cisco-IOS-Upgrade-Image-v1.img
After executing steps, such as written in manual for this image,
my AP goes down, and now a i can get access to AP with CONSOLE
CABLE only.
Now only bootstrap work, and i tried to run some old images,
but bootstrap can't run it!

2. Have you tried a new Profile? Profiles don't last forever, and after going through a few major version updates "things" slow down, depending upon how much stuff the user has added to Firefox. Personally, I have created a new Profile for every new version of Firefox I have installed, up through Firefox 4.0. Didn't do that for Firefox 5, and probably won't for Firefox 6, due to the new fast release schedule and the fact that Firefox isn't being changed as much from one version to the next as it used to be changed under the 10 to 14 month intervals between major versions.<br />

How can i fix my mac book pro. My safari crashes all the time, my screen will turn black for no reason, My iPhoto crashes during upload from my iPhone, I can't highlight anything and I can't drag anything.

Someone PLEASE help me! I cant figure out what is going on with my computer. I don't install anything weird, but my brother does. He's very good at computer tech stuff and is in I.T, but I cant help but blame him for all the problems my Mac is having. Nothing works like it should. My safari will randomally crash, my screen will randomally turn back, my iphoto will crash during uploading from my iPhone, I cant highlight anything, I can't drag anything. When I want to click on something, I have to click over and over again just for it to even register. I know everything is up to date and recently reset my PRAM. I'm running Lion and have a lot of room on my hardrive. I have an external harddrive and I'm wondering if I should just move all of my important files over to it and completly wipe out my computer's hardrive and start from scratch.

Some folks can't leave well enough alone, and insist on downloading all sorts of additional "stuff" that ends up making their Mac unstable.
Standard Mac OS X on properly-operating Hardware does not crash, unless you start installing too many add-ons.
You can run "just the basics" by holding down the Shift key at Startup. This does one pass of Disk Repair, then loads a minimal set of extensions, and comes up in Safe Mode. If it works OK that way, but crashes in "regular", it's the add-ons.
There ia another layer of add-on junk that can be added to Safari. If the only remaining problem is Safari crashing, those add-ons can be disabled as well.

This is how we fixed this issue, which I believe it's a SW bug by the way.
Go to Settings/General/Language&Region and delete all the languages you can find there (keep English only).
After this you will able to add a new contact with Thai characters.
This worked for us on multiple phones.

Getting settings back after OS crash... new admin & old user

Now I have a new administrator account with a blank desktop and I can see my old user account in Finder/Users, but I don't see it in System Prefs/Accounts. Reading up on this, I understand I need to do some renaming to recover my settings for Safari, Mail, etc.

I suggest you create a backup administrator id on the system that you are changing!!!

This procedure seems correct as far as to go. The author assumes that the GUID and UID are the same. You need to verify this.

There seems to be two ways to proceed.
Assigned your old administrator data to your new administrator. To do this, you would rename your new administrator directory to something else then rename your old administrator directory to what ever you selected for the new administrator directory name. You would then verify the Group ID and the user ID.
Or, renamed your old administrator directory. Create a new administrator with the same names as your old administrator was. You can either follow the steps above or copy the data from the old directory to the new with the Finder. Hold down the option key in the Finder to be sure that you are copying the data.

This is tricky stuff.
You need to change these things:
1) Your account information
2) All of your files & folders
One way to change what uid and gid are defined for your account is theNetInfo Manager application. This doesn't change the UID & GID on your files and folders.
Mac OS X ... harddrive -> Applications -> Utilities -> NetInfo Manager
In the middle column is the function. Pick users then select your user. Click on the lock at the bottom of the panel. Go into the property list and change UID and GID."

There are two generally used schemes for assigning a group to a user:
1) Assign all users to a common group like staff.
2) Assign each user to their own group. A user like test would be in group test.
Mac OS uses method 1 in 10.2 and method 2 in 10.4.
You should not have multiple users assigned to the same uid. My worry is that if you are only change in the 50x range, you could run into a conflict.
Your best bet is to change to a high number like 5464 on all of your accounts.
On Mac OS, there are a few files that have the old uid as part of their names. The .Trashes file will be on your removal media and maybe everywhere.

To find out your UID and GID do:
cd ~
ls -ln
ls -l
Or, you can use the id command.
id
compare the output and write down what you find.
You best use the numeric value for your userid. In this case it is 500. To list all the files owned by a userid do:
sudo find / -user 500 -exec ls {} \;
#And you need to do this from an administrator id.

sudo find -x / -user 501 -exec chown 5464 {} \;

I-web crashing during upload to server

I am using iweb 08 on an intel imac with OSX 10.4.11
I can't seem to upload to my web server (network solutions) without crashing somewhere in the cycle.
The website is photo intensive. The images are fairly large but have been optimized to about 70% of original.
I use RAGE webcrusher software to optimize the file.
The final file size is approximately 29 MB,
I am uploaded with comcast cable.
Is this file too big for iweb?
What would cause this to keep getting hung up?

I guess I got my story out of sequence.
The path I follow is to:
1) Publish i-web to a folder
2) Bring the i-web folder into Webcrusher to optimize
3) Drag the site files and index files into FTP software (Panic-Transmit)
4) Commence upload to web server
The compressed file size that is being uploaded is about 29 MB.
It usually takes about 40 minutes to complete the upload.
Sometimes the whole process works and my website is uploaded.
Sometimes it gets hung up in the transfer and goes IDLE.
The hang up happens erratically. Sometimes it stalls 2 minutes in and sometimes after 20 minutes.
I have repeated this on two different mac computers at home: Intel i-mac OSX 10.4.1 and MacBookPro OSX 10.5.8.
I have uploaded the Webcrusher files to Drop Box and am now going to try this on a newer i-mac at myshop.
The new one is running OSX 10.6.8.
I don't have any FTP software for the new machine but will search around for that soon.
Could this have to do with the overall size of my i-web file or is it just out of date boxes and inappropriate FTP software?
For what it is worth: The only changes I made to the file since last it updated easily updated was to add a lot of text to an already existing page.

Firefox crashes, have uploaded new version (8) and will not work unless I turn off my firewall, when I turn it back on again it crashes?

Everything was ok until early last week when Firefox kept on and on crashing. I downloaded the new version on Saturday and all was fine until I switched on on Sunday and nothing, zilch. Opened in internet explorer and all was OK so knew it had to be Firefox. I disabled my Firewall and all came on perfectly, as soon as firewall goes on again Firefox goes off. I have now done a system restore back thingy (I'm sure you know what I mean!!) to before the download and am now having to put up with it crashing when it feels like it. Also very slow and sticky. I am working on Windows 7 if this helps.
If this cannot be resolved satisfactorily I will change to Safari or Internet Explorer as this is not the first problems I have had with Firefox.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

IPhoto photobook crashes during upload

Hi,
I've created and purchased a photobook through iPhoto. After paying for the photobook, the uploading begins and iPhoto crashes after two or three seconds of uploading. The amount has been deducted from my credit card, but I've not received any order confirmation or any hint as to order status in my apple account page. How can I restart the uploading? The only option seems to be to buy the photobook over. Any hints or suggestions are welcome!

Are you able to to make a PDF file of the book as described in this Apple document? iPhoto, Aperture: Previewing an order in iPhoto or Aperture.
Are you trying to order an XL sized book? That's been a known contributor to the ordering problem.

Does any one know how to upload it to my Base Station ?

If you cannot upgrade the fw using the handset, try using the web user interface of the CIT400... you can login to it using its IP address and upgrade the firmware under system tab...The default Username and Password is admin.

ITunes Match crashes during 3rd step when uploading songs to the iCloud

Hello There,
I have just one issue with iTunes Match which causes me to be slightly skeptical, although it is such an amazing way to listen to music ect.
I have about 15000 songs and most of them were added on the iCloud, however only around 200 still needed to be added manually on the iCloud. The issue appears right after the second step where the songs starts uploading. All of a sudden iTunes just crashes and asks me to close the program.
Just to add I am using a dell desktop PC with windows 7, and everything is up to date including latest updates of the iTunes.
What can I do to sort this issue out, so the rest of my music can be added to the iCloud without having iTunes to crash during uploads?

I have read elsewhere that some people have used match with XP successfully but they were having more and more problems with each upgrade of iTunes.
Have you tried removing the tracks that are still waiting to be matched or uploaded. There may a track that is causing the problem. Once you have removed outstanding track update imatch. If this works, gradually add the tracks back a few at a time.

I thought the solution to sycronise my Zen touch with Windows Media Player was to update the firmware to version Creative Zen Touch PlaysForSure Firmware 2..0.?But this seems to have backfired on me - I am now stuck in recovery mode and I think have deleted the old firmware!?When I run either the new or old firmware it does not recognise my devise??Has anyone else encountered this problem??I now have a redundant MP3 player!?Please help!

IPhoto crashed after uploading photos. Tried restart but crashed again. Message that library is damaged. I don't have a backup. How to restore library?

I uploaded new photos and put into albums. When I tried to open album, iPhoto shut down. Got error message and clicked on reopen. Tried again and it happened again. 1 - you really must ahve a backup - without one it is just a matter of time until you lose all of your files including your photos - bad things happen, hopefully this is not the time but it will happen sooner or later - purchase a large hard drive (2 1/2 times the size of yoru main drive) that is formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) and start runnint Time Machine so youwill have hourly backps

did you back up your music to another hard drive? if not, the only music you can get back is purchased music from i tunes.

Can I put the Hard Drive from old iBook into new iBook?

I need a new motherboard for my old iBook which has no other damage. New motherboard costs about the same as a new iBook;
so can I have the drive from the old iBook put into a new iBook? Old iBook is about 2 years old.

Gareth; there are no iBooks with Intel processors. These are MacBooks.
As for your question, it's unlikely that you could, as the new Macs appear to have different firmware on the drives. It would also invalidate the warranty on a new computer.
Far easier to put the old drive into an external FW or USB enclosure and use it to transfer your files, applications and settings during first boot of the new Mac using the Setup Assistant.
