Crash form using READ_IMAGE_FILE

forms 10g
i use this :
READ_IMAGE_FILE('D:\ftpweb\LocalUser\imedia\' || 'f_' || :B0.CODICE_CASA || '_1.jpg' , 'jpg', 'b3.foto1');
it is all ok if the image file is on the web server, but if the image is not present on the web server the form crash !!!
It is possibile to test if the file is present on the server so i can not execute the function ??

You can use below code for this, in when new block instance trigger:
DECLARE
jpg_image_dir VARCHAR2(80) := 'E:\sumanth_project\IPMC_PROJECT\';
  image_name varchar2(80) := 'logo';
  photo_filename VARCHAR2(80);
BEGIN
  :System.Message_Level := '25';
  photo_filename := jpg_image_dir||LOWER(image_name)||'.jpg';
  ** Now, read in the appropriate image.
  Read_Image_File( photo_filename, 'JPG', 'b_image.image');
  IF NOT Form_Success THEN
    Message('The relevant image file does not exist.');
  END IF;
  :System.Message_Level := '0';
END; b_image.image is the data block item used to create your image. replace it with the data block item you've created in your form.
