Crash inserting module

Hallo,
I've problems inserting objetcs (modules) in Acrobat.
If I insert a module in a PDF with Adobe Acrobat 7 Professional I haven't problems.
If I do the same thing with Adobe Acrobat X Professional the program hangs.
If I do the same thing with Adobe Acrobat 9 Professional the program hangs.
The problem isn't present with all PDFs, but only with files PDFs that are conversions of DWGs drawings.
The programs Adobe Acrobat used have all disposable updates installed.
Could you help me, please?
Thank you very much.
Yuri Ceroni

What kind of line card was being inserted in slot 6? Have you tried other slots? The crash file in the RP says it was reset by SP, so the important crashinfo file would be in the sup-bootflash: Try an see if you find any "dir sup-bootflash:"
Aug 5 17:46:11: %C6K_PLATFORM-2-PEER_RESET: RP is being reset by the SP
%Software-forced reload
To answer your question:
A Is there any different procedure to install line modules in supervisor slots?
>>No there are no special configuration you need to do when inserting a line card in slots that normally would be for supervisor.
B Switch is having previously removed linecard (i.e, fastethernet module)in running configuration. Will it create any system crash?
>>No, it will not cause the switch to crash, when you see the configuration of a line card even after it was removed is quite normal, it's cold module provisionsing, you would not want to keep putting in a configuration for any line card after just resetaing them do you?

  • Acrobat XI Pro crashing, faulting module: TOUCHUP.API

Acrobat XI Pro 11.0.4.63 (running on W7 Pro + SP1, 64-bit) has suddenly begun to crash when moving text fields in forms. I am now unable to add or edit any text in text fields of any PDF form. No updates, installations or system changes were made prior to, or at the onset of, this issue
I have attempted: Disable antivirus; use safe mode; repair install; remove faulting plugin from reference path and repair install; uninstall + CClean registry + full reinstall; and full reinstall without any updates. • Server manager crashing - Fault Module clr.dll

The Server manager is crashing. As soon as you try to open Server Manager it crashes instantly with the failing module being clr.dll
This seems to relate to .net framework and after looking for a hotfix it says to contact Microsoft (who have been less than helpful so far).
    Things i have tried:
= Installing the hotfix which results in an error about the update not being needed or something else on the server stopping the update.
= Uninstalling .net framework for reinstalling, but to uninstall a service/feature it launches into the server manager, so just results in a crash.
= Tried uninstalling via Powershell, but as soon as you open powershell it also crashes!
Resulting error for both powershell and server manager is clr.dll. Basically anything relating to .net framework has stopped working and i need a fix! Thanks!

We are referring to Windows Server 2012 R2 (sorry).
You open the Server Manager, it shows launches and then says not responding instantly.
You can either check for solutions or close. The following error messages is contained with it:

I am sure this is related to .Net Framework 4, because my Avast Management console and Powershell have also stopped working and result with the same error when launched. I could be wrong though, but that is my thoughts....

  • Frequent crashes on module PlugPlug.dll

Dreamweaver CC 2014.1 has been crashing for me frequently if the app is left open for extended periods of time. I notice it most when I've left it running overnight or if I'm away from my computer for a few hours during the day.
The most common reason for Dreamweaver to crash is the PlugPlug.dll file. Here is the most recent error entry from my security logs. The problem started on 2/5/2015 and I've had 12 crashes since then.

    hi Michael,
Can you please provide us complete logs. To collect log -
Create crash logs on win –
You need to add these entries in registry.
Go to run, type regedit and enter. This will open Registry Editor.
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting->Right Click->New->Key. New key named "New Key #1" will be created. Rename it to LocalDumps.
Add two entries LocalDumps. Right click on LocalDumps->New->Expandable String Value (REZ_EXPAND_SZ). Double click on the  entry created and add value name : DumpFolder and value data : %LOCALAPPDATA%\CrashDumps.
Right click on LocalDumps->New->DWORD (32 bit) Value(REG_DWORD). Double click on the value created and add value name : DumpType and value data :1
Next time when the application crashes you will find the crash dump at C:\Users[UserName]\AppData\Local\CrashDumps. Dumps will be created only in case of crash and not hang.
    Thanks!

  • Block insertion module button

    Hi all,
use Adobe Acrobat X Pro. With some PDF files I am having problems inserting buttons. When I do the Insert, adobe acrobat x pro crashes. I already tried disabling all plugins, applying all available updates. the problem persists.
the same file, even with other previous version, except block with Adobe Acrobat 7 Pro.
because Adobe Acrobat 7 Pro I can insert buttons in the PDF file, whereas with Adopbe Acroba 9 and X PRO can't because you block?
    can you help?
    Thanks to all.

,i need it because if the user had loggedout then by clicking back button he can again go to the previous login page which should not be............................Hmm.. I can do that after logging in to this forum, but if I login a second time I get a confirmation as to whether I want to logout and login again. Not that everything about the forums is to be held up as a shining example of best practices, but maybe that's the way to go?

  • Problem inserting module for my dvb-s2 card on any kernel after 2.6.35

Firstly these drivers contain some proprietary bits so I have to download them from here. Basically it's some modified version of the cx23885 module from the mainline kernel.
Secondly here is a 10 page discussion on the TBS forums about this driver and getting it to work with kernels after 2.6.35.
    Card is TBS 6891.
These proprietary drivers seem to be working with other distros such as Fedora and Ubuntu as witnessed in the previously linked thread, but, for some reason when I try and insert the module on my Arch Linux x86_64 box I get the following error.
    # modprobe cx23885
FATAL: Error inserting cx23885 (/lib/modules/2.6.38-ARCH/kernel/drivers/media/video/cx23885/cx23885.ko): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)
    # dmesg|tail -n1
    [ 2373.648484] cx23885: Unknown symbol v4l2_i2c_new_subdev_cfg (err 0)
So I was wondering if anyone might be able to help with this. Maybe Fedora or Ubuntu have kernel config options different to Arch that I could try. Or kernel/v4l patches I could try.

"cody" has replied in the tbs forums with information to get this compiled and working with arch linux:
it seems though on ArchLinux you need to do one extra step before 'make install':
    # rm -rf /lib/modules/<kernel_version>/kernel/drivers/media/
    for example:
    # rm -rf /lib/modules/2.6.39-ARCH/kernel/drivers/media/
because otherwise the existing V4L modules in ArchLinux mixed up in a wrong way with the one installed by TBS Linux driver package.
I hope this info shortens other peoples searches!

It's not really great resurrecting threads like this.  The OP has SP1, you listed SP3.  There is a *LOT* of water under the change bridge in between these builds............
And you'll need to provide some details on this - it's a touch vague to say the least :(
But do that in a fresh thread please.

  • After module insertion switch gone to ROMMON monitor

    Hi,
I have taken 6509 switch and inserted module for testing.
Switch gone to ROMMON mode and not booting normally.
It is saying unable to open the boot file.
It is happened with 6506 also. These two are offline switches. But luckily my production switch didn't go to ROMMON mode after crash.
    What might be reason?
    Regards
    SKRAO

This is probably the same switch you posted question on crash, soI assume it's native IOS. the sup720 as you know have 2 processors, SP and RP. I said this because it depends on whuch processor is in rommon. If you are lucky and you are in SP rommon, then can try manually booting the switch with "boot bootflash:", but make sure there is an image in there - "dir bootflash:".
Please rate if this post helps.

  • Wifi prism pcmcia card and problems with ctrl module insert

    hi
probably until initrd based kernel i can't control what module for my pcmcia wireless card zcom 325h will be used.
i think the process inserting modules for pcmcia devices is maintined by tools from pcmcia-cs pkg.
devices assigned to drivers via manfid are in /etc/pcmcia/config and in name order included /etc/pcmcia/*.conf
but when was hostap driver moved from own package into the kernel package the /etc/pcmcia/hostap.conf was removed and now i don't know how to disallow to load this ugly module after pcmcia card inserting
i would like to use orinoco_cs instead.
    thanks for any help

    Hello,
I am owner of AR8131 which runs with atl1c without problems.
Unfortionally it seems that module does not have any optional parameters so i guess it wont be "easy" fix.

check your bios for "NET AI" or w/e named function that checks for bad cabels ( got many problems in the past with nvidia cards if i remember correct with those type of functions )

  • [SOLVED] Archlinux crashed - how to find out why?

    Hi,
just few minutes ago my archlinux crashed.
It freezed for something like 5 seconds and then restarted. It's first time in my life I see linux crashes so badly.
Are there any logs I could check to find the reason why my machine crashed? It's a fresh install because I repartitioned my HDD and installed arch two days ago. Hardware wasn't changed and previous installation was running fine for more than a year. OK, there were some minor issues but it never crashed this way.
What is different in my current installation is I'm using nouveau driver for my graphics card instead of proprietary nvidia driver.
    Running applications I remember:
    -firefox
    -thunderbird
    -rhythmbox
-rtorrent (NEW thing, I wans't using it before. But I also doubt it had any influence on what happend)

If it is that bug, the fix is in 3.17.3 which is in [core] now.
My experience is crashes like that are usually hardware instability.  Last time it happened to me it was because my RAM.  I had to underclock it to make it stable.  If the kernel update doesn't help you, you could try running a stress test like Prime95.
    http://www.mersenne.org/download/
If your hardware is unstable it will usually crash after only 5-10 minutes.  If you can run it for multiple hours that can help rule out hardware.

  • [SOLVED] Random crashes when playing videos on Atom J1900 / Intel HD

    Hi,
Following my first thread (which has been gladly solved, finally), I'm still getting stuck on the "crashes when playing videos" thing.
FIY here are the specs, copied from my original thread:
I've just bought a Gigabyte Brix to be used as an HTPC. The exact model is GB-BXBT-1900.
I've installed 4 GB of 1.35V RAM (Corsair CT51264BF160B), which is supported by this model, and a Kingston SSD (V300 60GB).
Then of course, I've installed Arch x64 with a base system and Xorg with DE (Xfce).
It can happen after 2 or 50 minutes (it rarely goes beyond this limit), mainly when using VLC, but I could reproduce the same behavior with SMPlayer or even Kodi: the display freezes and I can no longer move the cursor, use the keyboard (to change TTY for example) or access the machine remotely. I'm forced to press the power button for 5 seconds and boot again.
No sign of any warning in the logs, no high temperature on any sensor, nothing that could help me find what to blame. The wired keyboard attached does not show blinking LEDs so I'm assuming it's not a kernel panic.
The thing is, those crashes happen *only* when playing videos. Otherwise the machine is extremely stable and can stay up and running for days or weeks without a crash. But if you play a video on it, be prepared to reboot within the next half-hour.
So I'm assuming this has something to do with the display driver, or its configuration. I did not change anything to the default one, just added "intel_pstate=disabled" to the boot command line as advised in another thread, but it didn't help.
And now some fresh system informations you might need:

Hello, i too have random freeze without any "usable" info.
The blame "may" (well i think it is) be a "baytay + i915 kernel drivers" fault, these thread are intresting :
    - https://github.com/OpenELEC/OpenELEC.tv/issues/3726
what intresting is that there is path (for use of "legacy-turbo"), sory not remenber where i get it
    -- gpu-drm-i915-fix-vlv-crash.txt --
Revert back to legacy turbo for vlv, fixes random crashes.

I did use the trik on a custom kernel, i do have freeze (none tomoroy but two today but only on using firefox, so may be another probleme (sna))  but not on video (well i had run 15 video same time, and two where running 2 hours after without crash). May be you should try it (i think it work better).
