Crash mid-download
ok, everytime i search for my problems on the apple forum i can never find exactly what i want so sorry if this question is repeated.
i recently paid 7.99$ to download the entire 'album' of Radiohead - In Rainbows - From The Basement...its a live video recording of 10 songs by radiohead. i bought the album deal at 7.99 because i saved a few being that every track was .99$ After buying the album it went in its process of downloading each and every track. 2-3 at a time. all of a sudden my itunes quits on me. so i log back on and well, it never finished downloading and i only have 8 songs. what do i do? contact apple or is there something i dont know...Tracks im missing All I Need and Nude...my fav =(
OH! i already tried STORE > Check for Purchases...so dont suggest it. it seems when i have problems, the obvious is suggested getting me nowhere with my problems.
Contact the iTunes Store customer support department through the form linked from the bottom of their Download FAQ web page (I recommend that you use the form, not the link in your Purchase History as they advise; that's not proven to be very reliable) and explain the problem to them.

As long as you clearly state what you've already tried, people probably won't suggest it. If someone does, just smile to yourself, politely mention that you already tried their suggestion to no avail, and ask for additional ideas. No one here gets paid to help, so if someone suggests something inappropriate or that you've already tried, just be grateful that someone at least tried to help and move on.

Update to iPhone OS 4.2 causes iTunes to crash mid-download?
Hi there,
I recently tried to update my iPhone 4 to the latest software version 4.2
It said that my iTunes was out of date and that i needed to upgrade to version 10.1. Which i did.
Once that was done i plugged my iphone in and tried to upgrade the software only to have itunes crash mid-download.
I've tried several times over the last few weeks and every time, iTunes encounters a problem and has to close...always during the downlaoding of the update.
Can anyone help?

jamesFirst off, try it with another user account, (no you won't lose all your music - you don't want to sync, just update). If that didn't work then I would see if I knew someone with an iP4 and ask them if I can copy the ipsw file to the correct location. Use that and start iTunes again.
ps the second method is one that I assume works as I've done it with an iPod before. -
I purchased and was in the process of d/l-ing season 1 of "The Office". It looks like I got 4 of the 6 episodes. At the time, I was listening to something from my library and working on other things (outside of iTunes).
I'm trying to d/l these for an X-mas gift. I don't want to "re-purchase" the missing episodes, since I already paid for the whole season. But I don't see anything that looks like I can resume d/l-ing from where it crashed...
Any ideas??

KevinUpdate: I was able to retrieve the 6th episode. The 5th shows up as downloaded in my history, but it does not appear in my Purchased list, nor in my Videos list (the other 5 are there).

Firefox crashing when downloading pictures.
Whenever I try to download a picture file (.pgn, .jpg etc), Firefox stops working and I either have to wait for it to close or terminate the process myself. Picture files will be downloaded despite of Firefox crashing, and they are not corrupted or incomplete. It may not crash when downloading other files types, but those files will not even be downloaded even though it shows as finished in Firefox.
I also deleted downloads.sqlite like the troubleshooting told me and tested it, I have tried to delete everything Mozilla on my computer and reinstall it, and I have started it with all extension turned off, but it's the same.I did tell it to delete everything during the uninstallation, but even then there were a few files left which I deleted manually.
The rest of my information can be viewed on the right side, by clicking More System Details. If not, here it is. Some is in Norwegian, but you'll make out what is what; most is in English.

How can i re download a movie from itunes store that i bought but it crashed while downloading?

Word crashes mid PDF creation - Word 2003 Acrobat 9.3.0
I have a new PC and a fresh clean install of CS5 Design Permuim, including Arobat 9. The organisation is still using Office 2003 and no upgrade path in sight for that. Myself and several colleagues with the same software profile are now experiencing frequent problems with Word crashing mid PDF creation.
This has always been an issue with the ocassional Word file in Acrobat 8, but Distiller always worked as an alternative - NOT this time!
PDF Maker gives no error message, just that Word has encounted a problem and needs to close.
Distiller produces the following log message, then freezes completely. I then have to force quit Word to exit!

Not all documents are affected, but I can remove almost all of the content from the affected document and it still causes the error.
I have tried repairing Acrobat - no change.
One other odd symptom - after each crash, the default printer on the machine has changed to Adobe PDF.
I can successfulkly make the PDF on another machine which has not been upgraded to Acrobat 9. The rest of the settings are identical on the two machines, they are both running a standard organisation environment, with the same verion of word etc.
Can anyone suggest how to fix or at least isolate the cause of the problem?Please update to latest Acrobat 9 release which is 9.4.2.

a) office 2003 flavour: Standard or professional?
b) OS flavour? Also whether it is 32bit or 64bit?
Also as you mentioned that "Not all documents are affected", so we would require any of your affected file to analyze the issue. Can you please share the file? You can use acrobat.com to share the file.

You are probably correct. I tried all different variations to test it. As long as I quit each document separately, i.e., red dot it, I seem to bring up only one document after that whether I click on the document itself or open it within pages. The same is true with numbers.
Two more questions:
1) can you turn off the "resume" feature? If so, how? I could not find a way to do it.
2) why the "save a version" feature in pages? What happened to the old "save" and "save as" features?

My computer crashed while downloading the new Kings of Leon album and now there are several songs that are not on my computer. I don't want to pay for the songs individuall as they should have been downloaded.
Contact Customer Services, cick on this link you'll be able to email your query: iTMS Customer Service. On the form choose Downloading then My Download was interrupted and fill in your comments in the box provided. You could also look at the link on that page "How to resume interrupted download"

My 4s crashed while downloading ios8. Keeps asking to connect to itunes. Since it only charges when it's off, i'm not able to do so. tried rebooting using sleep/wake buttons but did not connect. Any suggestions on how to restore it

Go to http://www.adobe.com/downloads and click the Try next to Elements.
Once you have the trial installed, use your newly-purchased serial number to register it. -

Ooops I put the lot in the strap line!
My printer crashed mid printing photo. Printer works OK in other apps. Now locked out in PhotoshopCC with error message: There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents.
I would be grateful for help!! Obviously...Probably best to ask in Photoshop General Discussion

IPhoto crashes when downloading photos from Iphone 4S
iPhoto crashes when downloading photos from iPhone 4S.
I am running 10.6.8 with iPhoto 9.2.1 and iPhone 4S with latest iOS5.
When i try downloading the pics it stops and have to force quit.
I have tryed deleting the 3vix file as suggested on other threads but it is not present.
Any help would be appraciated!

Ipod touch restore keeps stopping mid download, what do I do?
Trying to restore an Ipod touch that was used as a store demo and is locked. No one knows the code and the restore download keeps stopping mid download. What can I try next?
Try disabling the computer's antivirus and firewall.
- Next try the manual install method of:
iDevice Troubleshooting 101 :: iPhone, iPad, iPod touch
Place the iPod in recovery mode after the firmware download is complete and then restore using the instructions in the article. Sometimes recovery mode timeouts and returns to disabled before the firmware download is complete.
- Then try on another computer
- Lastm, go to an Apple store.
