Sorry to hear that Firefox is crashing.
Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a Clean reinstall. This means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
Note: You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.
#Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from mozilla.org (or choose the download for your operating system and language from this page) and save the setup file to your computer.
#After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (or open the Firefox menu and click the close button ).
#Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
#*Windows:
#**C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
#**C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
#Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
##Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
##Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.
More information about reinstalling Firefox can be found here.
<b>WARNING:</b> Do not use a third party uninstaller as part of this process. Doing so could permanently delete your Firefox profile data, including but not limited to, extensions, cache, cookies, bookmarks, personal settings and saved passwords. <u>These cannot be easily recovered unless they have been backed up to an external device!</u> See Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles. <!-- Starting in Firefox 31, the Firefox uninstaller no longer lets you remove user profile data.Ref: Bug 432017 and https://support.mozilla.org/kb/uninstall-firefox-from-your-computer/discuss/5279 [Fx31] Windows uninstaller will no longer offer the option to remove personal data -->

• Flash 9.0.31.0 Crashes Mozilla 1.7.8 in SuSE Linux 9.0

Any time there is a Flash file on a page, Mozilla will crash
fairly quickly. Just disappears without warning. I had the same
problem with v8.something of Adobe Flash. I switched back to Flash
7 for a while and decided to try 9.. thinking that issue might be
solved. Guess I'm wrong. And now a lot of sites are requiring Flash
8 or higher. I don't like the fact that I have to upgrade to
something that refuses to work.
I'm running SuSE Linux 9.0 and Mozilla 1.7.8.. It'd be nice
if this could be fixed. All dependencies are fine. I've checked a
lot of stuff and I'm hoping I just missed some mundane detail.
And you know, I really shouldn't have to go through this,
even if it is something simple. Flash is somewhat of a standard,
and thus it should work no matter what.

Flas Player 9 is useless for me

• Flash Player 9.x and 10.x crashes Mozilla Firefox 5.x and 6.x

I'm running Windows 7 64-bit with 8GB of RAM and plenty of hard drive space.
I've been unable to visit any Web site with Mozila Firefox 5.x and now 6.x that has Flash content. Previously I had Flash Player 9.x and it was updated on August 13, 2011 to version 10.3.183.5.
I've manually disabled ALL plugins and determined that if I enable only the Shockwave Flash 10.3.183.5 plugin and visit a site that uses Flash content, such as http://www.native-instruments.com, Firefox will instantly crash and present me with the Mozilla Crash Reporter.
I do not have this issue with Internet Explorer 9.x or Google Chrome 13.x.
Other than the long, involved procedure involving the Backdoor.Ulrbot.C virus that Mozilla Support describes, are there any other suggetions you might have.
Thanks very much.

Well, according to http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe%20Mode,
You can elect to make the following changes:
Disable all add-ons: If you select this box and then click Make Changes and Restart then Firefox will start back up in its normal mode, except all your  extensions, themes, and plugins will be disabled (not uninstalled).
So how can Flash Player plugin run in Firefox Safe Mode if it's a plugin and it's disabled?
I've already determined that Flash Player is the problem by having it as the only add-on (plugin) that's enabled. All other extensions and plugins except for Firefox are disabled. My theme is the default one.
The site I visit doesn't matter, if it has Flash content on the page I'm visiting Firefox instantly crashes.

• 10.2 flash crashes Mozilla upon opening, and I.e. no fb gaming

Thanks for any help.
I have spent the last hour reading thru some of this stuff and still makes no sense to me.  I just know that when I open up my Mozilla-firefox whatever the latest version is upon opening it brings up a box and says "Firefox has stopped working" and in the drop down box says app crash hang time, and automatically closes me out of Firefox. So I am not a happy camper.  Ok so i figure try IE not sure where to find version. Anyways i can get into it  but when i go into fb and try playing the games it says i need newest version of flash.  Which in my programs is showing it is installed.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times.  I have the 2010 version of norton 360.  I do not understand a lot of the computer jargon so If someone could please use simply terms in helping me I would appreciate it.  Thanks!

Hi, Well I spent part of yesterday doing the same thing on a Vista machine and the FF 3.6.15 update!!
Received that same message "FF has stopped working" I can't tell you how many times. It has nothing to do with Flash Player.
Finally, late this afternoon, received a message from FF that the Update only "partially" updated and Failed.
They tried again and must have fixed something since it is now working. What I noticed is that any Flash content would shut FF down.
If you want to Install FP(Flash Player) into IE, do this:
Download and SAVE the FP IE Installer to your Desktop: Use the one for Windows/Internet Explorer EXE Installer
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html
Use the Administrator Account -A Must.
Disable any msn/aol/yahoo messenger services in the system tray(area near the clock)
Disable Norton
After that, then CLOSE all browser Windows, you only want to be looking at your Desktop
RUN the Installer and when it is finished, Reboot your computer
Restart you Anti-Virus if needed, then test here. You should be able to see the Flash logo animate(spin) and the version of Flash Player will be displayed. test the browser here: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
Thanks,

• Firefox is crashing when loading specific pages.

I've tried disabling and re-enabling each plugin, I've downloaded the newest version of Firefox, and nsBrowserOpt.dll doesn't seem to be the problem. My computer recently (like two hours ago, haha) crashed and rebooted using Microsoft System Recover with a recovery date of February, if that has anything to do with it--prior to the computer crashing, Mozilla had a lot of hang-ups, but no crashing. I suspect malware, but I'm really not at all sure, because Norton keeps coming up with that little window that says "A recent attempt to attack your computer has been blocked." which is slightly unsettling. But I don't know where to go from there.
I'm really terrible at computers.

• Firefox 19.0.2 crashes when opening it using touch-pad gestures on Windows 8

I'm having a problem with Firefox when launching it using gestures on my touch-pad. More specifically I have set a "Three-Finger Press" application gesture in Synaptics Touch-pad v7.2, and set it to open Firefox (and only Firefox).
When I open Firefox in this manner and then try to open tabs (and/or multiple tabs), Firefox freezes completely, and is unresponsive. However when I open Firefox from the pinned shortcut on my taskbar the problem does not occur (and never has when opening Firefox this way).
I am guessing I am basically the only one who has this problem - but I would love to get it fixed. Any ideas?
