  • Adobe Air app crashes on iPad2 but not iPad3 on iOS 8.1

    I have an app built with Flash Builder 4.7 using Adobe Air (version 15.0.0.356). The app runs some interactive animations (.swc files) and after running for a while on iPad2 the app crashes (can reproduce crash in same scene exactly 5 seconds into animation every time) but runs perfectly fine on the iPad3 both using iOS 8.1. Is this a fixable memory issue? an sdk problem?

  • ICal crashing on iPad2

    Using iPad2, iOS 6.0.1, Danish.
    In iCal showing the month-pane choosing March results in program crashing! Choosing the other months works perfectly.
    Am I the only only one???

    Try removing any all-day events from the calendar for the 1st April 2013 e.g. if you are syncing the calendar from somewhere else (e.g. Outlook on a PC or iCal/Calendar on a Mac) then change it to a timed event instead of all-day (if you don't sync your calendar from anywhere then try going into list view, go to 1st April and change any 'all day' events to times e.g. change Easter Monday to start at something like 4am) - it seems that there is a problem with all day events on that date which is when the clocks change due to daylight saving on the day before.

  • Safari crashes on iPad2

    Safari is crashing repeatedly on my iPad2. Help?

    I now have the same problem, iPad2 with 3G and 32GB storage. In Settings, I cleared the web info and cookies.  Safari is now unusable.  I also had problems with Facetime last night,  constant crashes.  Something is strange and not sure what to do?

  • App crashing on ipad2 and iPhone 4S! Help!

    Why do most my apps on my ipad2 and iPhone 4S constantly keep crashing some apps I can't even use some of my apps because as they load they crash? My internet is one of them.... Ever since I updated ios7 I've had this issue it's rather annoying! help ! :(

    To fix this you have 3 choices either to try to delete the applications you are trying to use and reinstall them. Update IOS7 to delete or remove any bugs you had. Or just go back and use IOS6 if i was working perfectly.

  • Crash & Restarts iPad2

    Crashing when I add a 2nd pic to my project it crashes hard & restarts my iPad2. I have tryed this twice and it crashed & restarted each time.

    Hi. I'm sorry to hear that PS  Touch crashed on your iPad2. Sounds like the memory is getting low on your device.
    How many  apps do you have running?
    Have  you tried this after a reboot of the device with only having PSTouch running?

  • Pages crashing on iPad2. Every time I open it. Anyone else suffering this fate?

    Am keen to know if it is a common problem or just me

    It sounds like there is a saved file in the Pages app that isn't playing nice. Maybe you have a corrupt file in Pages. If you have all of your pages files in your iTunes library on your computer - or have them saved in DropBox or anyhwere for that matter - you could try deleting each file one at atime until the app quits crashing.
    One real easy thing to try first is to delete the app and then download it again. You can download it again for free as long as you use the same Apple ID and iTunes account that you purchased the app with. Sometimes that works - delete and re download.

  • Safari crashes on ipad2 after ios7 upgrade

    Hi, I recently upgraded my ipad 2 to iOS 7 , but now when I open up my university blackboard page using safari, safari keeps crashing and going to home page, I have tried closing opened apps and I tried a reboot. Please help

    Progress Update:
    I started from scratch - full wipe and start over reinstalling applications one at a time and testing Safari after every install.  I was convinced that it was some other application causing the crash since all of the attempts to do a recovery from a backup resulted in the same problem.
    Thus far, with many, many hours invested, Safari is still working.  I probably have another 20 applications to install (many of them I don't use very often, so I have been installing as need arises).
    My iPhone has the same issue, but I don't often hit links in e-mails on the phone that would go to the default browser.  I don't have the time or energy to start over on the phone.  Maybe I will get a new phone next year and that will be the time to start over.

  • Apps keep crashing after upgrade to ios 7 ipad2

    After upgrading to ios 7 most of my apps keep crashing on ipad2 why? Do i need to re-install them? Please help

    i am having the same experience (as well as several other problems) since installing iOS7 on my iPad2. The apps briefly appear to open when I tap their icons, but then disappear. double tapping the Home key to bring up the multi-tasking view idicates that the apps are running in the background but, I cannot access them.
    This fiasco began because I was unable to login to my One-to-One account after the iOS7 update. I spent 4 hrs on the phone last night, with 4 different people from Apple support, restoring the iPad to factory settings & then restoring the image from my iCloud backup, only to end up with the situation described above. And I still can't login to my One-to-One account, plus I amnow also unable to access the iTunes store. I am sure there are other problems that I have yet to discover.
    This has been such a "Windows" experience that I find myself wondering if Apple truly has lost its mojo & mystique. Are their pretty products worth their premium prices? More importantly, are they worth the frustration I experience, & the time that lost from my life, in trying to resolve problems with their"improvements". If asked today, my answer would be a very loud & resounding "NO"!!!!!

  • AddChild Crashing iPad3 [HELP]

    I have an application that has 8 buttons on an interface. Each button loads a movie clip from the library.
    The way I'm doing it now .. is I am putting 8 variables when the app load up.
    var movieclip1;
    var movieclip2;
    var movieclip3;
    var movieclip4;
    var movieclip5;
    var movieclip6;
    var movieclip7;
    var movieclip8;
    When the user clicks on a button I am doing the MovieClip = new MovieClip(); method .. when the user exits that section I am setting the movie clip to null and removing it.
    I am finding though that I am having some memory problems on the iPad3 doing it this way.
    Is there a better way I could be doing this ?
    Id like it so when you aren't in a loaded section .. there is nothing at all in the memory for that section.  What I'm doing now is ... if you click on Button1 and load up movieclip1 ...  and then you click button 2...   it will check if any of the 8 movieclips are loaded... if they are .. they are removed and set to null
    However the dilemma I face... is that tweening always performs sluggish the first time around if that movie clip hasn't been previously added to the stage. Once it performs the tween once .. then its fine.
    I'm hoping there is a better way to handle these movie clips.
    Another question i have...   one of the movieclips has 48 seperate MouseEvent listeners. ...   when I remove and NULL the movieclip ...   do I need to manually remove each mouse event listener ?   I've read that listeners dont get destroyed.   Could it be these listeners that are building up and causing the crashing on the iPad3 ?   It doesnt crash on iPad2 .. and runs great on the desktop.
    Trying to optimize this the best way possible.
    Any help is appreciated.

    You can use a SINGLE MouseEvent listener attached to the main movieclip and handle it like:
    function handleClick(e:Event):void{
         switch (e.target.name) {
              case 'a'...
    For safety, remove any listeners, stop sounds and timeline animations, dispose XML data (if any), call unloadAndStop(), then remove-child the loaded contents and null them.

  • My first gen. iPad exits out of apps and safari at random times when I am trying to use them. So I basically can't do anything on it. Is there some way I can fix this?

    Crashing apps. What do I do to fix it?
    My first gen. iPad exits out of apps and safari at random times when I am trying to use them. So I basically can't do anything on it. Is there some way I can fix this?

    I have the same problem.  Yahoo Sportacular aborts every time I try to open it.  It attempts to load and then the device goes right back to the home screen.  The problem started April 26 after I switched leagues from NHL to NBA. Closing all apps and Restarting doesn't solve solve the problem.
    All other apps on the iPad work fine.  IPad2, OS6.
    Any other suggestions?  I suppose I could delete the app from the iPad and try re-installing it

  • Game Center keeps crashing our games. How do we uninstall and reinstall "Game Center" on iPad2

    Hi there, we use an iPad2 running iOS version 4.3.3 (8J2 - whatever that means), and we keep running into a persistent problem which is that games keep crashing after a few minutes. I am fairly certain this is somehow connected to how they interact with Game Center because we will get regular crashes every 5 minutes or so, except when, for some reason, the game warns us that it can't connect with Game Center. Then the game will run uninterrupted until the battery is flat!
    This problem used only to be with a game called "Hay Day" but now it's starting to occur with other games (angry birds is the latest victim!). I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game itself, but this never makes a difference. I thought if I could somehow strip out Game Center and reinstall it, it might solve my problem.
    I am hoping that someone has a solution. A friend recommended that I re-install iOS, but I have learned that you can on;y install iOS 6 now. I have not found one single person (including in these discussion fora!) who reports a good experience from transferring an iPad2 to iOS 6, and I understand that you can't undo it once you have transferred over.
    Any suggestions - or have we just got a "bad apple"?
    Cheers,
    TF

    Thanks CK. I gave it a try but it didn't solve the problem (the one good thing about our issue is that it's regular, so the solutions are testable!).
    It occurred to me that udating to the new iOS was the answer (how I wish we'd upgraded to iOS 5 when it was an option!!) - so we might just have to put up with this problem until Apple fixes iOS6 (the list of reported problems that it causes the iPad2 is huge, and the 6.0.1 patch, by all accounts, doesn't really address any of them!).
    Cheers,
    Jason

    Here is what the diagnostics report says can anyone help?

    Is it possible the battery is getting low? Try this procedure.
    Plug your iPad into the original charger & block in a wall outlet and leave it alone for a couple of hours. Then, while it is still plugged in, restart it by holding down the home button and the power button for 10-15 seconds until you see the Apple, then let go.

  • All of my apps on my new ipad2 are not working. I had this iPad about 4 months and nothing bad has happened before this. I need help on how to make my apps stop crashing. All my built in apps are fine though.

    Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider.
