Crash reporter has huge list from previous owner

Problem is - I can't find the logs from when it's been frequently crashing in the last few days.
There are 2 lists saying 'crash reporter', one listing over a hundred events, mostly generated within 24 hours a minute intervals a week ago.
So I could post those, but they may relate to something no longer installed, as that was before I bought it.
Can't see anything dated more recently than a few days ago.
Posssible it's recording these more recent crashes elsewhere? Or just giving up!
Had this 2006 iMac a week now, started out fine, gradually worsening. However, although repeatedly crashed on me last night, my son played minecraft no problem for an hour this morning.
Yes, I'm onto previous owner, who had installed Lion, I think to run Office 2011, he's surprised and suggested cleaning the back out, dust=heat etc.
Also obvious approach to re-install snow leopard and forget office, but that seems a shame
Sorry so many questions!

Boot from a retail Snow Leopard disc, if you have one, launch Disk Utility, and partition the internal drive with the default options (GUID partition table, one data partition.) That action will erase all data on the drive. Quit Disk Utility and install OS X. When you reboot, you'll be prompted to import your data from a backup or from another Mac. After doing that, if applicable, run Software Update until all available updates are installed. If you want to run Lion, you'll have to call Apple phone sales for instructions on how to buy it (the copy you have is unlicensed.) On such old hardware, you'd probably be better off staying with SL.

  • Second hand iPhone has Music playlist from previous owner

I have bought a second hand iPhone from a seller on eBay.
I have used restore in iTunes to make it the same as my old iPhone and everything works fine except I have a list of artists and music in Music that are backed up to iCloud from the previous owner.
    How can I delete these/
The previous owner says she has removed that iPhone from her list of devices in both iCloud and iTunes accounts but the playlists are still there.
Also when I try to register the device with Apple it states that the serian number is associated with another Apple ID.
Is it possible that there is a time frame here as i saw a dialogue box when first opening Music mentioning 90 days but it dissapeared before i could capture it.

How do I check for Activation Lock before purchasing a used device?
When purchasing an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from someone other than Apple or an authorized Apple reseller, it is up to you to ensure that the device has been erased and is no longer linked to the previous owner’s account.
Follow each of these steps to make sure that you can use the device you purchase:
Turn the device on and slide to unlock. If the passcode lock screen or the home screen appears, the device has not been erased. Ask the seller to completely erase the device by going to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. Do not take ownership of any used iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch until it has been erased.
Begin the device setup process. After choosing a language, choosing a country, and connecting to a network, the device will begin activation. If you are asked for the previous owner’s Apple ID and password, the device is still linked to their account. Hand the device back to the seller and ask them to enter their password. If the previous owner is not present, they can remove the device from their account by signing in to icloud.com/find. Do not take ownership of any used iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch until it has been removed from the previous owner’s account.
You will know that a device is ready for you to use when you are asked to “Set up your iPhone", “Set up your iPad", or “Set up your iPod” during the device setup process.

  • I purchased from previous owner and cannot update installed software

I purchased my MAC Air from previous owner and cannot update installed software: iphoto, numbers, pages...  How may I get access to these software? I am willing to purchase license, if necessary...just do not know what to do.

The first thing you should do with a second-hand computer is to erase the internal drive and install a clean copy of OS X. How you do that depends on the model. Look it up on this page to see what version was originally installed.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, you need a boxed and shrink-wrapped retail Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6) installation disc, which you can get from the Apple Store or a reputable reseller — not from eBay or anything of the kind. If the machine has less than 1 GB of memory, you'll need to add more in order to install 10.6. I suggest you install as much memory as it can take, according to the technical specifications.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.6, you need the installation media that came with it: gray installation discs, or a USB flash drive for some MacBook Air models. If you don't have the media, order replacements from Apple. A retail disc, or the gray discs from another model, will not work.
To boot from an optical disc or a flash drive, insert it, then reboot and hold down the C key at the startup chime. Release the key when you see the gray Apple logo on the screen.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.7 or later, you don't need media. It should boot into Internet Recovery mode when you hold down the key combination option-command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a spinning globe.
Once booted from the disc or in Internet Recovery, launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive — not any of the volume icons nested beneath it. In the Partition tab, select the default options: a GUID partition table with one data volume in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. This operation will permanently remove all existing data on the drive, which is what you should do.
After partitioning, quit Disk Utility and run the OS X Installer. When the installation is done, the system will automatically reboot into the Setup Assistant, which will prompt you to transfer the data from another Mac, its backups, or from a Windows computer. If you have any data to transfer, this is usually the best time to do it.
You should then run Software Update and install all available system updates from Apple. If you want to upgrade to a major version of OS X newer than 10.6, buy it from the Mac App Store. Note that you can't keep an upgraded version that was installed by the previous owner. He or she can't legally transfer it to you, and without the Apple ID you won't be able to update it in Software Update or reinstall, if that becomes necessary. The same goes for any App Store products that the previous owner installed — you have to repurchase them.
If the previous owner "accepted" the bundled iLife applications (iPhoto, iMovie, and Garage Band) in the App Store so that he or she could update them, then they're linked to that Apple ID and you won't be able to download them without buying them. Reportedly, Apple customer service has sometimes issued redemption codes for these apps to second owners who asked.
If the previous owner didn't deauthorize the computer in the iTunes Store under his Apple ID, you wont be able toauthorize it under your ID. In that case, contact iTunes Support.

  • How can I change game centre and iCloud account information from previous owner of my iPad?

How can I change game centre and iCloud account information from previous owner to me?

You can't do it on your own. The previous owner has to erase the device for you. You would need his Apple ID and password in order to delete his iCloud account. This is due to the Activation Lock in iOS 7 - assuming that your iPad is running iOS 7.
Contact the owner and ask home to erase it remotely using iCloud, or return the device and ask for your money back. If you can't contact the pervious owner, you will have a useless iPad on your hands.
Read this for more information. This is what you need the previous owner to do.
What to do before selling or giving away your iPhone, iPad, or iPod ...

The previous owner doesn't need to give you their credentials. They can release the device via Find My iPhone on iCloud.com as per the instructions in the link I posted in my initial response: Find My iPhone Activation Lock: Removing a device from a previous owner
If the previous owner is not present
Make sure the device is powered on and connected to a Wi-Fi or cellular network. Then contact the previous owner and ask them to follow these steps to remove the device from their account:
Sign in to their iCloud account at www.icloud.com/find.
Click All Devices to open a list of devices linked to their account, then select the device to be removed.
Click the Erase button to erase all content and settings from the device. When prompted, don't enter a phone number or message. Click Next until the device is erased.
When the erase is complete, click "Remove from Account" to remove the device from the account.
After the device is erased and removed from the account, you can proceed with the device setup process.
If the person you bought it from refuses to do this, I would assume the device is stolen and I would demand a refund and/or contact the authorities.

A "hard reset" will do the same thing.
Make sure that the AirPort Extreme is powered on
Hold in the reset button for a few seconds and the amber light will begin to blink more quickly. Keep holding the reset button when you see this for another 4-5 seconds and release
Allow 25-30 seconds for the AirPort Extreme to restart to a slow, blinking amber light
Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility and click Continue to follow the guided setup

  • How do I unlink Refurbished Mac from previous owner?

I bought a refurbished Mac and have two questions:
How do I unlink the computer from previous owners Apple ID?  I can't register it and add it to my apple account without doing this.
I have two years left on their Apple Care but can't find the Apple Care Agreement number and I want to register it so that I can mange it in my account.  How do I find the Agreement number with nothing but the computer's seriel number?
Thanks in advance for the help.

I'm not sure this helps me.  If they didn't deauthorize from their account, I can't do that for them.  When I turned on the computer for the first time I was able to set it up as a new computer and then transfer data from my previous computer.
    Any other ideas out there?

when i try to install app and it prompts for password a apple id shows up from previous owner and i dont know password how do i switch it to my apple id? ive restored the phone and my apple id is registered as mine on phone

You don't. Apps are forever tied to the Apple ID used to originally obtain them & cannot be transferred to another Apple ID. You need to purchase the app using your ID.

  • Can you delete Airport passwords from previous owner?

I was looking under Keychain System and saw the previous owners Airport network password from before I purchased the macbook Pro with retina running Mountain Lion. Can I delete all of the iPhone 5 etc that are not mine? I see my ssid name but his also.
I didn't reset the machine and nothing else is on it since Apple helped me change to my name and Admin Account. I didn't want to mess up my system by removing the previous owners. I have my own Keychain password so that isn't a problem.
Keychain will probably ask for my password the next time I open after this correct?
    Thanks.

The first thing to do with a second-hand computer is to erase the internal drive and install a clean copy of OS X. You — not the previous owner — must do that. How you do it depends on the model, and on whether you already own another Mac. If you're not sure of the model, enter the serial number on this page. Then find the model on this page to see what OS version was originally installed.
1a. If you don't own another Mac
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, you need a boxed and shrink-wrapped retail Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6) installation disc from the Apple Store or a reputable reseller — not from eBay or anything of the kind. If the machine has less than 1 GB of memory, you'll need to add more in order to install 10.6. Preferably, install as much memory as it can take, according to the technical specifications.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.6, you need the installation media that came with it: gray installation discs, or a USB flash drive for some MacBook Air models. For early MBA models, you may need a USB optical drive or Remote Disc. You should have received the media from the previous owner, but if you didn't, order replacements from Apple.
1b. If you do own another Mac
If you already own another Mac that was upgraded in the App Store to the version of OS X that you want to install, and if the new Mac is compatible with it, then you can install it. Use Recovery Disk Assistant to create a bootable USB device and boot the new Mac from it by holding down the C key at the startup chime. Alternatively, if you have a Time Machine backup of OS X 10.7.3 or later on an external hard drive (not a Time Capsule or other network device), you can boot from that by holding down the option key and selecting it from the row of icons that appears. Note that if your other Mac was never upgraded in the App Store, you can't use this method.
    2. Partition and install OS X
If you see a lock screen when trying to boot from installation media or in Recovery mode, then a firmware password was set by the previous owner, or the machine was remotely locked via iCloud. You'll either have to contact the owner or take the machine to an Apple Store or another authorized service provider to be unlocked. You may be asked for proof of ownership.
Launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive — not any of the volume icons nested beneath it. In thePartition tab, select the default options: a GUID partition table with one data volume in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. This operation will permanently remove all existing data on the drive.
After partitioning, quit Disk Utility and run the OS X Installer. You will need the Apple ID and password that you used to upgrade. When the installation is done, the system will automatically reboot into the Setup Assistant, which will prompt you to transfer the data from another Mac, its backups, or from a Windows computer. If you have any data to transfer, this is usually the best time to do it.
Then run Software Update and install all available system updates from Apple. To upgrade to a major version of OS X newer than 10.6, get it from the Mac App Store.
    3. Other issues
If the previous owner "accepted" the bundled iLife applications (iPhoto, iMovie, and Garage Band) in the App Store so that he or she could update them, then they're linked to that Apple ID and you won't be able to download them without buying them. Reportedly, Mac App Store Customer Service has sometimes issued redemption codes for these apps to second owners who asked.
If the previous owner didn't deauthorize the computer in the iTunes Store under his Apple ID, you wont be able to  authorize it immediately under your ID. In that case, you'll either have to wait up to 90 days or contact iTunes Support.
When trying to create a new iCloud account, you might get a failure message: "Account limit reached." Apple imposes a lifetime limit of three iCloud account setups per device. Erasing the device does not reset the limit. You can still use an account that was created on another device, but you won't be able to create a new one. Contact iCloud Support for more information.

  • MRP Lists from previous dates

I have a question. Here in this factory we are running MD07 to check the exception messages, we typically see a lot of u201CPostpone processu201D messages because the planned order is firmed inside Planning Time Fence but thereu2019s no requirement.
We want to find out what are those requirements that used to be there and now they are not.
So Iu2019d like to know, is there a transaction where I can see MRP Lists (from MD05) from previous dates?
If there is, then I can see at a material numberu2019s MRP list from today, compare it with the one from yesterday, and so on.

    Fernando,
So Iu2019d like to know, is there a transaction where I can see MRP Lists (from MD05) from previous dates?
No.  SAP only stores the most recent MRP list.
Some companies print the MRP lists to a spoolfile immediately upon the conclusion of the MRP run.  MDLD.  The spoolfiles can be configured to be retained for any period you wish, talk to your Basis team.
To review the contents of a spoolfile, SP01.  It is not a database per se, but an image of the printed report.  For your purpose, it would probably suffice.
Beyond this solution, you will have to create some customized functionality.

  • Just purchased a second hand iPad 3 in Bangkok which requires set up, but asks me for iCloud password from previous owner which I cannot obtain. Does anyone know how to activate

Cannot activate iPad 3 I recently purchased second
hand. I need to have previous owners iCloud details, which I cannot get. Does anyone know if iPad can be activated?

If you are trying to activate an iPad or iPhone and it is asking for a previous owners Apple ID and password, you have encountered the Activation Lock. This is a security feature that prevents thieves from setting up and using a stolen or lost iPad or iPhone. You have no alternative. You must contact the previous owner to get permission to use the device. If you cannot contact the previous owner return the device to where you bought it and get a refund. You will never be able to activate the device and no one can help you do it.

If i do not have the previous owner's phone #, is there a way to get the full email address if it has already been restored? In order to contact them?

There is nothing you can do. Activation Lock can only be released by the person who locked it. If you can't contact the previous owner all you have is a paperweight.
