Crashing browsers

Ok, I installed Leopard, then anytime I tried to watch Youtube, or any website with Flash content, ie. trying to purchase on Amazon, the browsers crashed. Safari, Firefox, Netscape, didn't matter. So, I reinstalled Tiger, but it still happened. I un-installed Flash Player and the browsers stay open, although I can't view all the content. But at least they work. I tried to re-install Flash, crashed again. I did a nw Mac account, no luck, crashed there too! I'm going nuts!
Not too technical!

I am having the same issues with "youtube crashing, on Safari, or any browser. I also crash with any sign-ins including my bank accounts. Quicktime crashes, Photoshop crashes, Anime Studio pro, and others crash. I have erased and reinstalled 5 times. I am now using Tiger, previously I was using Leopard. It does not make any difference. I have had my Logic board replaced. I have worked with Adobe Techs since January. They say it is not a Flash problem. I have tried everything in this thread, and much more, without any luck. I bought this iMac 24, October 2007 and it still does not work. PLEASE HELP. I just want what I paid $2500.00 for, a computer that works. I have now erased and reinstalled so many times that I have reached my limit of 5 computers with my itune purchases. Adobe will not let me download photoshop again, with out paying them, because I have downloaded Photoshop to many times. My world is falling apart.

Flash Crashing Browsers on Macbook Air

A couple of days ago my bowsers started crashing with the
message that a Flash Plugin has cuased an error.
It happens on both Safari and FireFox.
I have tried the Flash uninstaller. but when I reinstall the
same thing happens.
I have tried uninstalling all Adobe apps and all folders but
when I put flash back on the problem returns.
Im no tech talkin guy but it seems that the problem is not
directly in Flash and not related to any single browser.

Flash crashes browsers on Mac OS X

...I navigate to a website run by the BBC. If I uninstall
Flash then I can access the page OK (the page does not need Flash
to be displayed). If I install Flash then when I try and access the
page all three browsers will crash.
I'm running Leopard 10.5.11 and the latest versions of
Safari, Camino and Firefox. I have downloaded the latest Flash from
the Adobe site.

It's down to release 115. Release 47 is absolutely
fine.

Reader add-in crashes browsers

OS: Windows XP Media Center Edition v.2002 sp3
Reader version: 9.3.2
IE version: 8.0.6001.18702
Firefox version: 3.6.3

For a couple of months now, "embedded" .pdf files crash all of my browsers, or fail within the browser window (Chrome). By "embedded," I an referring to links which create a .pdf file and then bring it up within a web page. On these files, I have no option of saving the file to my hard drive from the link. This seems to be most prevalent on sites where a report is generated in .pdf format, or some sports websites where tournament brackets are being updated regularly.
For those pages that are a direct link to a .pdf file, I can usually save the file locally, then bring it up, and I have IE and Firefox set up to call Adobe Reader, and the files come up within Reader as a separate app.
I have uninstalled all of my browsers and Adobe Reader three times. I've deleted the Adobe folder under Program Files before reinstall. I've also ran registry clean-up programs after the uninstalls just to make sure that there were no lingering entries that might cause a problem. I've also ran the option within Reader to repair the installation.
The problem seems to have begun after an update loaded for Reader, but I don't remember which update it was. I want to say it was the update/upgrade to 9.3, but I can't be sure.
At this point, I'm not sure what else to do. When I performed the reinstalls, the first one I just uninstalled then reinstalled Reader. When that did not work, I uninstalled Reader, then all the browsers. Installed Reader, then the browsers. No success. Uninstalled Reader and the browsers again, then installed the browsers first, followed by Reader. Again, no success.
Any help that anyone can suggest would be greatly appreciated!

Seen this happen on my Win7 32b machine after Hosted upgraded from C8 to C9. Couldn't find a fix but offlining from a WinXP box worked fine.

Server Behaviors Crashing Browsers

I'm trying to create a User Login page but my browsers (IE,
Firefox, Opera) crash every time I try to preview after I've added
the "Log In User". It's not limited to Log In User either but I
figure the solution is common.
The Error says the Apache server has encountered a problem
and needs to close.
If I take the login server behavior out then it displays in
all the browsers.
I've attached the code below for the very basic login.php
page (the very mininimum that crashes the browsers)
Can someone please help?

Flash Player crashing browsers

Hello, I need a little help, as I have made a site that seems
to crash just about every browser not using the newest
Flash-player. I believe it has something to do with shared fonts
accessed through a shared library swf, but I am not sure.
Everything is coded in AS3 in Flash CS3.

Does anyone have any idea on what I can do to prevent this
problem? Also, could you tell me if it works on your browsers, and
also if downloading the very newest Flash-player solves the
problem? (It seems to fix the problem for most people, which leads

use too, and that player works. From the google analytics I see
that around 35% use 9.0.28 though, and those don't get the "Get
Flash Player"-thing.. Also some people with 9.0.20, 9.0.0 and

FP 10 debugging version crashes Browsers

Any time I am playing video on youtube it crashes my Browsers
with win32 exception error. Any Browser is the same.
Regular player seems to work fine. I am running Windows 2003
Server. Any idea why that is happening?

QuickTime 7.0.3 Plug-in crashes browsers

While trying to view h264-encoded QuickTime movies on a webpage directly, many of these movies crash the browser, whether I use Firefox or IE. Does anyone have a solution for this issue? I don't believe this was a problem with 7.0.2; at least I never noticed it.
It happens quite frequently for me, though it does seem to be something about the particular movies. (Though they play just fine in the QuickTime Player.)
Every once in a while I get a warning window from Firefox that says "Illegal operation in plug-in" before the crash, but most of the time it just crashes the browser app completely.

Cleaner hasn't been updated in at least a couple of years (all indications are that it's a dead product; the last version was a beta, never finalized) and does not recognize QuickTime 7 as a valid version. So he probably needs to use something else to handle the compression, though perhaps just avoid using a version preference setting in Cleaner might work (doubt it, though).

Flash Player Failure (CRASHING BROWSERS)

Everytime Chrome & Safari crash (Chrome Gets to 176,000k{s}) (Safari gets to 250,000k{s})
Ive used this fourm before, ive submitted bug request, but nothing is resolved. it aint "Video Playback Issues" as said before.

Safari 5 hasn't been maintained for a couple years and has a bunch of security issues. You should just delete it at this point. For real.
The RAM values are actually pretty reasonable. My guess is that this is related to a video driver, but there's not a lot of information here.
You can try the video troubleshooting guide. In particular, pay attention to the section about disabling hardware acceleration.

Embedded QT movie crashes browsers

We just got 7.0.2 Pro, converted several Matrox RT.X .avi's to H.264 videos, embedded them into simple .html and uploaded. When you go to the page, most of the time it will crash immediately. Although sometimes, depending on bandwidth, the file will download a large chunk and will play okay, until it catches up to the buffer. You can even manually scrub forward (to catch up to what has already downloaded) and it will crash. This has been tried on multiple systems with both IE and Opera and the same results.
Before clicking on any of the links, keep in mind it very well could crash your browser. Just a warning

According to the link the only thing I was missing was autoplay and controller attributes. I added those but still had the same problem. However, after that I turned off autoplay and everything works fine. I guess it's a glitch with Fast Start and autoplay? Thanks for the help Kirk!

My Adobe Edge project crashes browsers when previewed or published

Hi, I have a moderately large project in EA that appears perfectly fine in EA but when it's previewed it crashes the browser.
Chrome developer tools show that the elements appear to be loading ok but there's a "Javascript error in event handler! Event Type = timeline" (in edge.5.0.1.min.js:154)
I'm running Edge Animate CC 2014.1.1
Others on the team were opposed to using EA for this project but I was an advocate for it. The project has a hard deadline of this coming Saturday. Any quick help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I don't really have a clear solution. I began a process of divide-and-conquer where I deleted half my elements and retried until I was able to narrow it down to one specific thing. Then I found that by simply removing a single javascript command on an elements timeline frame one ( sym.play(); ) the problem was solved. Weird huh?! Thanks again for you help.

Flash Crashing Browsers: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)

Hi everyone,
I've been having problems with Flash crashing both Firefox and Safari for some time now. I've archived and installed, erased and installed, installed OnyX and "cleaned" per a now closed thread here on the same topic... my last resort is to replace the RAM.
I'm sure someone else has had this problem and I'm really hoping that someone has figured out how to fix it (short of replacing hardware, of course).

I forgot to mention that I haven't been able to run an AHT because I just realized my original Tiger discs are in storage and all I have is my retail Leopard Mac Box Set. I did see on the other thread a link to:

Flash crashing browsers on unload while playing stream

I've set up the most basic test case while troubleshooting
ongoing crash reports.
- drag FLVPlayer onto the stage
- add the following code to frame 1 so you can play in a bare
FMS 3 server:

- set your path to any FLV file via RTMP to FMS3 (our is
linux)
I can crash any browser just by repeatedly reloading the page
with that movie in right as it loads. Eventually, with enough
repetition, it will crash and take down the browser with a fault in
"Flash_EnforceLocalSecurity". If you have video on every page of
your site, you can see how this might become a bit of a problem...
Network latency will increase the frequency of crashes.
I've been chasing this for months in our own player (AS2).
Finding the same thing with such a simple test case in a bare clip
using the native AS3 component is really surprising.

happens on Vista (FF and IE7) and Mac FF.

Flash Player Plug in is crashing browsers

Flash Player plug-in for Mac OSX 10.5.8 is crashing Safari and Firefox. It crashes in Google Chrome but does not bring Chrome down with it. I have repaired permissions, reinstalled Flash Player Plug-in, repaired permissions again but it still crashes when encountering Flash content.

Flash 11.3.300.268 crashing browsers

hey seen a few people with varied issues to this,
i have firefox 14 and flash player 11.3.300.268 is terrorising my system, i have reinstalled it to no avail i believe its crashing with internet explorer too.
when it goes sometimes it takes my whole system with it and i just have to hit the power button and hard reboot
also i have noticed that whenever the flashplayer process is active there are 2...

OS: Windows 7 64 bit SP-1
RAM: 2GB DDR3 (I know 64bit needs 4GB but i have virtual memory in use and a very good motherboard to cope with it)

HD 2x 500GB
this has only started with recent updates, as I said reinstalling plugin hasnt worked, have sweeped firefox, CCleaner is run near enough daily too so seems to be flash player itself, also I have ran it in compatibility with administrator privelages...
is this perhaps a 64 bit issue? noticed many other topics on the net are posting 64bit specs
I hope thats enough information for now? look forward to a solution soon

yes i am also experiencing what you said
as for the lags, i did several test and it seems happen when i have many tabs with several flash on my firefox (especially with active flash, like video stream)
so when switching between tabs (on setting menu), there like few seconds delay until showing the tabs/the rollover graphic turn from faded to clear
it more like intermitents, sometimes the lags disappear and switching between tabs is back to normal/smooth without lag...
then few click on tabs make the lag come again ..
well its not serious problem, as we rarely need to change flash setting
