Crashing during video render

HI, I have a late 2012 MBP running OSX 10.9 Mavericks with a 16gb RAM upgrade that I use as my primary work computer for video editing. I've been working in premiere pro cs6 with minimal issues for going on 2 years up until recently.
Whenever I render this video file, my graphics freeze up and the computer restarts itself. Just before it gets to the login screen it says "Your computer was restarted. because of an issue". What's going on??? I've had this problem a lot recently, and often multiple times a day!
Thanks,
Bear

The OS at the bottom is incorrect.  I'm running 10.6.8.   I've tried to duplicate the problem since your last post and haven't noticed anything with activity monitor.  Just backed up everything.......
On a side note, the itunes library xml was apparently corrupted.  I'm a bit confused.  It attempted to read/reimport my library information and was able to recall/recognize previous playlists and my entire library including videos/podcasts.  But I have NO recovery of iphone backups.  Why?  I tried to restore my iPhone and it defaulted to factory settings without giving the option of choosing a backup, like it thought it was the first time iTunes saw the phone.  How do I go about finding the backups?  Are they gone with the corrupted library file.  I've never had so much trouble with a mac before.....

  • Premiere CC 7.2.1 - Crashes during timeline Render

    Hi All.
I am running a MacPro5,1 OSX 10.7.5 and Premiere CC 7.2.1. Ever since updating the software I have experience crash on timeline renders and very slow running. There's also a strange thing happening on the odd occassion of, once the render is completed (visibly on the timeline) the render box continues to create new previews and renders. I left it going once and it went into the tens of thousands.... The footage I am Editing is Time Lapse renders in Prores HQ 422 mix with 5D mk 2 footage.
I have also downloaded and update the CC update for 7.2.1 about 4 times now and each time I restart my computer the CC app says I need to upgrade again. Premiere CC however says it is updated and states so on the information window.
I also have an issue with my effects rendering not reloading properly when I start up Premiere CC. Even though I save all the time, my scratch disks are set and the cache seems to be working fine, no joy in saving renders.
    Can any help?
    Thanks Scott

  • Mezzanine crash during video effects editing

    Hello all,
Premiere keeps crashing when I'm removing some video effects and I haven't been able to isolate if it's a specific one or just a general error. Has anyone seen this error?
Premiere Pro has encountered an error.
    F:\ppro603_win64\PremierePro\Mezzanine\API\Inc\ComponentParamActo
When this error occurs, I usually get several that I have to click OK through. I make a point to save the project regularly as the errors eventually cause the application to crash.  The funny thing is that I don't even have an F: drive.

I found maybe 30 references to Mezzinine.dll, for both Premier Pro and Premiere Elements. However, what I did not find was any sort of a fix - mostly "me too" posts, and then some commercial sites that claim to be able to fix all .dll issues. Sorry that I could not offer an fixes.

  • Crashing during video play with iTunes open.

Within the past week I've noticed multiple crash/freezes.  This has cost me dearly as I went two days without a backup on my iPhone and lost personal data.  Is anyone else having similar problems?  Is there something I'm missing?  Here is the situation:
I have a 15" Macbook Pro 2.66Ghz Intel Core, 4G 1067 Mhz DDR3.  I've had it for over a year with no hiccups.
At least three times in the past week and a half I have had the screen black out and audio skip/repeat with no way of recovering other than a hard boot.  Each instance I've had iTunes open in the background; sometimes playing music, sometimes not.  I've also had Firefox open to Youtube or running a video via Vimeo.  When I use expose' to show all windows, it will crash/freeze.  I could use expose 20/20 times with no problem and then all of a sudden it crashes when I use it the 21st time.  All software on all apps is up to date.  I have two external drives connected.  This has only recently happened within the past week or two.  Any ideas?

  • TechTool Deluxe Crash During Video Ram Test

I have a 2008 20" iMac and I keep getting random freezes. The cursor will move bet every other function is disabled. I tried to use the TechTool Deluxe to try and figure out the root of the problem, but everytime it gets to the video ram it crashes. I unchecked the video ram test and all the tests after it ran smooth. Btw I'm running Lion with Intel dual core

    Hi There.
The techtool crash is a known issue:

  • Nokia 808 Belle FP2 crashes during video call

After upgrade my phone freezes when making /receiving video calls. Any fix for that or does nokia plan to address this soon???

Sorry to hear the problems you are having.
Have you tried re-installing your current firmware via Nokia Suite? If this doesn't work, then you may need to perform a three finger hard reset, and failing that, take your phone to your local Nokia Care point for them to inspect: http://nokia.com/support
Remember to backup all personal data first onto memory card / PC / online storage.

  • IDVD Crash during render process

Hello, first I want to say that I did several searches on this forum to find a fix against this bug and nothing that I tried fixed the crashing problem.
*What I have*: Mac Pro 2 x 3GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon, 4 Go DDR2 RAM, Leopard 10.5.2, ILife'08 and Time Machine active (and a Logitech mouse *smile*) .
Problem: IDVD crashes during the render process everytime with all kind themes and any kind of video type file.
Note: It's been about a month that I am still trying different approaches (i.e.: delete library files, reinstall ILife, reinstall leopard AND ILife, reinstall ILife without IPhoto... you get the picture) and nothing worked so far.
*So my question is*: Is IDVD'08 compatible with Leopard at all or should I wait for the next release?
    Thank you,

I can't answer your question about Leopard and iDvd '08 since I'm still running with Tiger X.4.11
But after reading your post I'm concerned that you may not be deleting apps correctly. So my suggestion is to try again to reinstall the app. But use this utility before doing so:
    http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/systemdiskutilities/appdelete.html
Thereafter run apple's software updater within system pref's to make sure you have the most current versions on your mac. Always a good idea to run apple's disc utility as well before and after updating. Make sure to disconnect all external FW and USB2 devices (except your keyboard and mouse) when trying idvd for the first time after installing an update.
Hope this helps but if not just come on back. Good luck.

  • AE cs6 crash during render preview

AE is crashing during a render preview.

In my comp I am using four masked solid layers with keyframes, no 3D or 3rd party plugins. The crash occurred after adding an adjustment layer and applying Turbulent Displace with an expression and Simple Choker. Crash occurs at the same point in the timeline every time I do a render preview. I've tried purging the cache, rebooting everything. I tried clearing the preferences with the command "command option shift" at startup, but that didn't seem to work (got no pop up window with yes/no option, maybe not doing it right?). Please let me know if you have any advice or need more information to clarify the issue. Thanks.

The problem is in Mask 1 on the Head layer. Delete and redraw/re-animate that mask.
    Or, better...
Why are you drawing masks on solid layers for animation? That stopped being the right way to create graphics in After Effects seven years ago, when we introduced shape layers. I strongly recommend using shape layers for the kind of work that you're doing here. Also, I just checked, and copying and pasting your mask paths into shape layers path makes the problem go away, so whatever bug there is there is just with masks on solids.
To learn shape layers, go through Andrew Devis's materials in this series:

  • Why is Premiere Pro crashing during a media render?

I have a pretty straightforward project consisting of still photos, some video clips and an audio narration track. It is 55:28:38 long. When I try to export the media, during the render it gets about 28% of the way through and then I get a message that Premiere Pro has stopped working. Any ideas of where I begin to trouble shoot?

  • FCP6 keeps crashing during Render or if I try to export QuickTime.

    Hey guys,
FCP6 keeps crashing during Render or if I try to export QuickTime.
    Here's what I have:
    iMac 24" intel 3.06GHZ/ 6GB RAM/ 512 VRAM
    Canon T2i 1080p/24 footage (44min)
Using External drive for Scratch Disk. (Plenty of space available)
Can anyone help with this issue?
    Thanks in advance,
    CJ

Did you convert this footage to ProRes, or just drag the H.264 files the camera shoots directly into FCP and start editing those? I'm guessing you didn't convert, thus why you are having this problem, and thus why we highly recommend people convert the footage to ProRes.
H.264 is not an editing codec.

  • G5 crashes during iTunes video playback after Leopard install

I have a G5 1.6 single-processor running 10.5.1. Since I installed Leopard, I have been experiences frequent crashes during iTunes video playback (TV shows bought in the iTunes store). The crashes hang my whole system and require a restart by holding down the power button. The video itself sort of "blip-blip-blips" during the crash, but the mouse and keyboard are unresponsive, windows don't do anything, etc.
Any thoughts? Anyone else with this problem? Thanks!

Ever since I installed Leopard on my dual 2ghz G5, neither itunes nor quicktime player works. They both crash on launch. Maybe not the same issue, but I'm regretting the upgrade.

booted, and built fine, puzzeled about 2.7Volts for memory, but i guess 3Gb sucks a bit of juice.
crashed during games like doom3, farcry, trackmania sunrise etc. even just playng video! pushing up the memory voltage to 2.8v from 2.6v seemed to help... it would just run a little longer before crashing. everything is stock speed and voltage except the ram. tried all kinds of combinations of dimms in slots, tried upping the CPU Vcore. all chipset and GFX drivers are the lastest versions (5.10 for the mainboard, and whatever the current one is for the GFX card).
totally stumped. what is going on? and if anyone says i should have checked the ram compatability chart, i shouldn't HAVE to check to see if my ram is compatable. it should  just work. and i am definatly NOT ditching £330 worth of ram over a £50 mainboard. the dimms are all from the same batch, same manufacturer, etc etc, and no trouble all with my old gigabyte board.
also checked the hardware, pulled cards, swapped gfx boards - my GF6800GT, spare GF5900U, old GF5200, and my old faithfull PCI GF2MX400. same problem.
now heres the kicker. got home from work for another evenings troubleshooting, (windows and games would blue screen saying i should check the drivers, or the hardware, gfx card) and found that the PSU had died. really annoyed now. when i go buy a new PSU, any suggestions? or shall i take this MSI board outside and shoot it?
come back gigabyte, all is forgiven.

If those figures are right, I can't see the PSU as the reason for your problems.
About the temps, though I haven't got that experience myself, some temperature monitors read very high levels, while BIOS tells it as all is idle, and very idle. I mean, it could be the messenger.
Yep, I searched the Internet, quote 1 below. Thermaltake?! Maybe they have changed the specs? It is twice as expensive but moves half the air as to the Spire Whisperrock I've got (quote 2). I would if I were you, really go for an 80 mm HSF anyway.
