CRC Error on installing 10.2.0.1 on Linux
I've downloaded the 10.2.0.1 full Grid version for Linux and tried to install it
on Oracle's Enterprise Linux....
I keep getting a CRC error on disk 2....has anyone else seen this ?
Thanks
Bernard
Well if you've tried it more than once, then there is no point retrying it.
I've seen this happen in the past and redownloading it worked...but may be it's a bad copy online.
Let' see if someone else has seen this error...

I've no idea about the errors, any help will be greatly appreciated, thks a million in advance!Hi,
I had come up with this issue twice, once I download WL from a server from Asia, and had this issue. I just download once again from the server at US, and the issue was gone. The second time it was a weird anti virus configuration that tried to scan the file while the installation was taking place (I do not think this last one applies here.)

I'm trying to install WebLogic 7.0 SP 1 on a Red Hat 9 box, and getting
CRC errors. Any ideas? I've tried SP1, SP2, WebLogic 8.1 (though I
need 7.0 SP 1, was just trying the newer version), both the net
installer and package installer, all are giving me CRC errors... Help?
-Brasten SagerHi.
I just performed a successful download of the linux installation. Pls try again - if that fails again then you should contact support.

Error while installing Oracle 10G on Oracle Enterprise Linux 4.8 32 bit
Our machine is a x86_64 machine with 32 GB of RAM available. I have installed OEL 4.8 32 bit on this machine (configured swap space of 32 GB) and OEL by default boots with the Hugemem kernel.
I am trying to install Oracle 10G enterprise edition on this. All required kernel parameters, shell limits etc. have been verified and configured. The preinstallation checks succeed on all the tests and installation proceeds smoothly. However in the last step of configuring the database using dbca following two errors are thrown:
1. ORA-27102 - out of memory
2. ORA-01034 - ORACLE not found
Most places where I am reading are telling to configure kernel parameters. However that doesn't seem to be the problem in this case.
Please Help.Hi;
What is exact db version? What installation log says?
Please see and confirm you have all pre-req settings

Please help me how to solve this issue.I suggest trying to install a different version to confirm the error. Do you have SELinux enabled? It can cause weird errors. You can check the syslog /var/adm/messages to see if there were any SELinux errors.

You are missing some required Linux files. When you install
Linux, pick the 'everything' option, then weed out the obvious
things you don't want (like the Serbian How-To's, etc.)
I say this because I ran into the exact same thing this past
weekend after picking and choosing which packages to install for
Linux. After re-installing with the 'everything' option, the
Oracle install went swimmingly. I wish I could tell you which
package in particular you are missing, but I never figured that
out.

nullThanks. Actually, I did not set any IPC parameter because I
did know how to set it on Linux. I tried both default and
customized with/without network related option such as net 8,
adapter. I could not get it work. I installed Sybase 11 server
successfully on the same machine. What does that "make" error
means.
Thank you in advance.

Hi I am getting below error while installing db 10.2.0.2/linux version
[oracle@localhost database]$ ./runInstaller
./runInstaller: line 56: /home/oracle/software/database/install/.oui: cannot execute binary file
Please suggest how to get rid of this? You say you downloaded 10202_zlinux, is IBM Linux on System z really your OS and platform? Not impossible,of course, but most Linux systems run on x86. Since it's not a old bash version, I think you have the wrong software.

Error Message Installing Creator 2.1 on SUSE LINUX 9.1
Hi,
I'm new to LINUX, I tried to run the : creator-2_1-linux-ml.bin from the Root console and I got the following error message:
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified
The installer is unable to run in graphical mode. Try running the installer with the -console or -silent flag.
What can I do to fix this?
(any step by step procedure I could use?)
Thank you for your help,
Kind regards,I have managed to set DISPLAY:
DISPLAY is an environment variable. To set it you need to know what shell you're in (ksh, csh, bash, etc). You can do this to find out which shell you're in:
% echo $0
Then, if csh, do:
% setenv DISPLAY :0.0
If ksh or bash, do:
% export DISPLAY=:0.0
To verify:
% echo $DISPLAY
But I still have the same original Error message:
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified
The installer is unable to run in graphical mode. Try running the installer with the -console or -silent flag. -

Has anyone seen these errors before installing Oracle 10.2 on Oracle Linux 6.3 64 bit?
Oracle 11.2 has installed without problem.
Edited by: SamM2 on Nov 12, 2012 11:07 PMHi,
some similar problem.
libXp.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Hope that helps.

JeyDid it complete or abort at that error?
It appears to be just a font file; it the installation completed, you might be able to
ignore this. If more CRC errors occur, the download might be corrupted.

Crc error in download of OBIEE 11g
I'm trying to get OBIEE 11g installed, but sadly one of the files i want to download keeps saying it is corrupt.
http://download.oracle.com/otn/nt/bi/111130/bi_windows_x86_111130_32_disk1_2of2.zip gives a crc-error when extracting it. I tried downloading it multiple times using different browsers/computers but no luck.
Do more people experience this or does anybody know a solution for this. A mirror to download the file from works fine for me too. Disk 1 file 1 of 2, and both files from disk 2 download and extract just fine.
thnx for helping.Hi,
We have downloaded the files without any corruption, sometimes it happens due to internet connectivity.
Follow this link for download and installation http://onlineappsdba.com/index.php/2010/08/14/obiee-11g-111130-documentation-installation/
Hope helps you.Mark points.
