CRC error on nexus 5k

hi,
we detecting crc error on nexus 5k interface but the number of crc is not incrementing that high. We have replaced the media type or SFP.
filber cable also been replace but still getting crc error. Our nexus 5k is running on 5.1.3.N1.1 and has FEX 2232PP.
after a week, the crc erro is about 4000 but the usage may go up to 100mb during peak hours.
based on the error we are might be hitting this bug CSCu65538. from cisco website, this case is still open and no workaround.
any one has experience this issue and already has the case open with cisco? any recommendation given by Cisco and which code is realiable to use?
thanks for sharing.....

Well if you've tried it more than once, then there is no point retrying it.
I've seen this happen in the past and redownloading it worked...but may be it's a bad copy online.
Let' see if someone else has seen this error...

  • 10Gig (tengigabit) CRC Errors between N5K500 and 3750X

    Dear Forum,
We have an issue with a 10 Gig connection between a Nexus 5548 and a 3750X 10Gig. There is also a HSRP group running over this link with aggressive timeouts which recently behaves somewhat unstable. We noticed a bunch of CRC errors on this link on the 3750X side (about 300 per hour) and assume that these are related to the HSRP troubles once or twice a day.
Originally the connection was made with a twinax cable. We already changed to MMF fiber with SR SFP+'s. The 10Gig Uplink Module in the 3750x has been replaced already. All to no avail. Now it's up to replace the 3750 (receives CRC) or the Nexus Chassis (sending device)
I was wondering if there is some experience on the list what is the most probably cause and solution here.
    Thanks in advance,
    Michael.

  • Error on nexus 7k series " operation failed.the fabric is already locked"

getting following error on nexus 7k series switch: error is " operation failed.the fabric is already locked", while removing ntp commands (no ntp server 10.101.1.1) from switch. Please help.

I had the same error message, only in my situation Outlook would only open successfully every 4 or 5 attempts. When Outlook would open (versus just hanging at the splash screen), I would get two dialog boxes with the warning/error message.
After I clicked okay I could get into Outlook.
Previously I experienced this problem running my Office 2010 client with my Exchange 2007 mailbox on my old laptop.  The problem followed my mailbox through an Exchange 2010 migration (so new Exchange org), client upgrade to Outlook 2013, and a new
laptop (so I knew it wasn't a corrupt profile).  This led me to the conclusion that it was a corrupt item(s) in my mailbox.
To resolve the issue, I archived *everything* in my mailbox to a PST file, ran SCANPST to fix the corruption, and then uploaded everything back into my Exchange mailbox one folder at a time, stopping after each folder to close and restart Outlook so I could
narrow down which folder had the corrupt item if the problem recurred.  I'm happy to say my issue is now resolved.

  • Input and CRC errors on ASA 5505 outside interface

    All,
I see input and crc errors on my ASA 5505  eth0/0(outside) interface and packet drops. There is very slow connection though we have 20mb line. ISP also sees the issue on the Lan interface side. We have the speed and duplex configured same on both ISP and our end.
I am suspecting if this is Physical cable issue. Please suggest.

    Hello Ravi,
This kind of issues CRCs/ Input Errors are tipically known as L1 issues so make sure you check the cable and if that does not make a difference change the port on each side to see if there is a difference.
Unfortunetly the ASA does not support the Time-Domain Reflectometer feature so we must do the test of L1 by ourselfs.
Can you clear the counters of the interface, test the changes provided and provide us some feedback?

  • Crc error in download of OBIEE 11g

I'm trying to get OBIEE 11g installed, but sadly one of the files i want to download keeps saying it is corrupt.
http://download.oracle.com/otn/nt/bi/111130/bi_windows_x86_111130_32_disk1_2of2.zip gives a crc-error when extracting it. I tried downloading it multiple times using different browsers/computers but no luck.
Do more people experience this or does anybody know a solution for this. A mirror to download the file from works fine for me too. Disk 1 file 1 of 2, and both files from disk 2 download and extract just fine.
    thnx for helping.

    Hi,
We have downloaded the files without any corruption, sometimes it happens due to internet connectivity.

    Hi,
I had come up with this issue twice, once I download WL from a server from Asia, and had this issue. I just download once again from the server at US, and the issue was gone. The second time it was a weird anti virus configuration that tried to scan the file while the installation was taking place (I do not think this last one applies here.)

  • CRC Error on installing 10.2.0.1 on Linux

I've downloaded the 10.2.0.1 full Grid version for Linux and tried to install it
    on Oracle's Enterprise Linux....
I keep getting a CRC error on disk 2....has anyone else seen this ?
    Thanks
    Bernard

Well if you've tried it more than once, then there is no point retrying it.
I've seen this happen in the past and redownloading it worked...but may be it's a bad copy online.
Let' see if someone else has seen this error...

  • How do HDD CRC errors manifest?

I have a KT4V motherboard and I wanna know how do HDD CRC errors manifest? I have problems with my computer locking up and I wanna know if this is due to a CRC error or I must look elsewhere for the solution.
    I have BIOS version 1.7.

For what i know, the Kt4V seemed to be plagued with CRC errors.. If i remember right, BIOS V1.7 is suppose be correcting this problem.. This sorts of errors also might be caused by defective memory and in some very rare incedents with bend IDE cables.. What kind of memory are u using.. Kingston value RAM works the best with this board..
    regards

  • KT4V crc errors

    hi there!
i have crc errors in my system,i read that a bios update will fix the problem
my system usually reboots when i ripping a dvd or moving files or i watch a dvd movie!
suddenly the screen becomes blue and the system rebooting...
i would like to ask if this is problem of the mainboard an if i can fix it with bios update
    thank you!
amd athlon 2000 xp + box
    m/b msi kt4v
    h/d wd 40gb
    vga gf4 mx440
    ddr512(333mhz)
    pioneer dvd-rom

I have no idea if this will work or is even related, but try this. First, you must be using Windows Xp, I do not know how to do this it you are not using it, but if you are, go to the my computer icon and right click it on the desktop, then go to the Advanced tab and under Startup And Recovery, hit Settings. Under System Failure, uncheck the Automatically Restart option. Hope that helps and read the "What's this?" help for the setting.

  • Weblogic Server 8.1 for japanese lang install comes out with CRC error

We are trying to install the evalution copy of weblogic 8.1 sp1 Japanese. During extraction it comesout with following error.
    Extracting 0%........../mizrwsdv/weblogic/tmp //aaabIaiHU/jre141_03/lib/font.properties.UTF8.5.6 ba
    d CRC d4bf6e9f (should be 47f91f38)
    ..........................................................................................100%
** Error during extraction, error code = 2.
    Any solution for this?
    Regards
    Jey

Did it complete or abort at that error?
It appears to be just a font file; it the installation completed, you might be able to
ignore this. If more CRC errors occur, the download might be corrupted.

  • Crc error on oracle 9i for NT

after downloading disk1, file sizes do not match posted size and on extraction by WINZIP I get a crc error. Is this a download problem or a strange unzip problem or a glitch in the way the files were zipped?

the same problem I have encounter while downloading personal oracle 9i for windows98.

  • Why I get CRC error when copying outlook.ost file?

My workstation is using NTFS, Outlook 2007 with Exchange 2007 server.
    My outlook.ost file is 1.7GB.
As my Outlook runs into problem, I tried to copy the outlook.ost file to another location for repair, but I keep getting CRC errors and the file was not copied.
I also tried to use winrar to compress it and it runs into the same CRC error.
Q#1. What causes this CRC error? hard disk error or software?
Q#2. How to repair such CRC error?
    Thanks.

    Hi Peter,
The cyclic redundancy check, or “CRC” error, indicates a bad spot/corruptions within the file that you are trying to copy and in lot of cases with your hard disk.
To make sure if the problem is with the .ost file or your hard disk, you can fire up a Command Prompt window, and then copy the file to NUL:
C:>CD (path of your .ost file)
    C:(path of your .ost file)>copy name.ost NUL
If this succeeds, the problem is with your .ost file. If this fails, it should be a hardware based disk issues.
If it's an issue with your .ost file, I'd suggest to run
scanpst.exe tool to repair your data file, then check if this fixed it.
When the issue is hardware based, you probably need to find Disk Errors in the System log of your Event Viewer. You can access the Event Viewer by going to:
Control Panel-> Administrative Tools-> Event Viewer
By the way, .ost file is actually a local copy of your mail items on the server. For a corrupted .ost file, you actually don't need to "copy the outlook.ost file to another location for repair". You can simply rename it to .ost.old
or delete it, and then re-launch Outlook to let it generate a new .ost file from server.

It's recommended to download and install
Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT), which is developed by Microsoft Support teams. Once the tool is installed, you can run it at any time to scan for hundreds of known issues in Office

I am observing CRC errors and input errors on one of the Te1/2 interface of WS-C3560X-48 Cisco switch. I have not observed any CRC errors or input errors on the connected interface at other end. Can you please let us know whether the issue is with cable or SFP module.

When there are more than two members in a cluster (stack), the Gigabit interface operates at half-duplex. Since collisions can result at half-duplex, some CRCs errors are normal.

  • LMS4.1: Threshold Alert for CRC errors

    Hi,
On LMS 4.1, I am trying to get threshold error when an interface has >  0 CRC errors.
    We have :
    - load mib old-cisco-interface.my
    - create the report with locIfInCRC variable
    - create the poller all instance and threshold
And we saw that the locIfInCRC variable was integer rather counter !!!
I tried to modify mib and reload it, recreate report and poller but the report is always with integer variable.
How can I unload this mib ?
Is there an other solution to get thrshold for CRC error ?
    Many thanks,
    Elisabeth

    Hi,
Create a ZIP or RAR archive of about 500MB, move it from HD to another HD or CDrom, then move it back and extract the archive...
When you have CRC errors the Archive gives problems.
But it can also be created by wrong BIOS settings, little powersupply, bad ram etc....
