Crc issue when extracting VHD trial SAP Gateway

I've encountered a problem with the Sap netweaver gateway 2.0 - Abap and java trial version on microsoft server.
I've managed to download all four rar files (in chrome it didn't work but IE does). However, if i try to extract it with either winrar or 7zip. i get CRC check errors during extracting. I've tried redownloading, also from different computer, no change.
*It seems that the rar files stop during download. all my rar files are around 2GB while it should be 4.7GB.
I've tried IE 11, Firefox, Chrome. Even FlashGet. Nothing continues past 2GB.
Are there maybe mirrors available?
I've tried working with the cloud demo version to create Win8/WP8 applications, but i want to go a step further and create more options,
but if i can't even download the 90 day pre packaged trial version, i cannot continue.
Anyone have an idea on how to download the complete rar files.....?

  • Cells merge issue when extracting webi report in excel format

    Hi Experts,
We have some WEBI reports in BO XI 3.1.
The reports have header where we are showing report name and some values which user selects in prompt.
Now the issue is that when we save our webi report in excel format, many cells get merge.
I have read many post on scn which suggest some solutions like changing the autofit width option to no and aligning the header width with colums.
Tried both the option but no success.
Is there any other way to achieve this.
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Rishabh

    Hi,
We managed to find the workaround for this merge cell issue.
Sharing it might be helpful for someone.
    - Align the report name and other block in report in such a way that the ends are in line with the end point of any column. The only limitation is that when applying pivot to the excel output we neet to click on any of the ccolumn so that excel identify the data set.
    - Second workaround is to break the webi document in two parts report1 will contain the report name and the block to show the prompt values selected by the user where as report2 will contain the table withactual data. The only limitation with this workaround is that when exporting the repot output to excel we will get two tabs in the excel sheet one containing the prompt values and secont tab containing the actual data.

  • Issues when sending mail from sap to outlook in .csv FORMAT

    hI all,
    Im using 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1'
FM TO send a mail from SAP to user with attachment in .csv format but the data isnot getting displayed correctly ...
I thnk it is competely displayed in ASCII format ..
Can anybody give me suggestionson the same
    thanks

    Hi.
How is the user opening the .csv attachment?
I'm guessing that it should be opened with Excel.
Are you using an attachment document type of 'XLS'?
If not, then the attachment won't be opened with Excel unless the user right-clicks on it and does 'Open with'.
Even then, the user will have to use the Excel import wizard.
Is a .csv file what you want?
You can use the ABAP OLE stuff to write a native Excel file that can be attached to an email.
Or you can (at the cost of more work) write the Excel file (still type XLS) using XML, which gives you more control, and still works when your program is run in the background.

    Hi All,
I am facing an issue in connecting to the SAP Gateway from Eclipse while trying to create a UI5 app to consume the Gateway service.
Please note that the gateway is accessible via web browser.
Also, that i already checked other threads on SCN to cater to the problem & hence i have already added the required SSL certificate to the Eclipse JRE installation. But unfortunately, i am still facing the issue. Please help me at the earliest. TIA.

  • SAP Gateway- environmental variables not loaded when running brconnect

    Hello
i have installed the Sap gateway on MSCS
and the RFC check in sm59  is successful,
However when i run a job in db13 it fails with "brconnect is not recognized as ......... "
<sid>adm has all environmental variables set correctly
    SAPService<SID> has them too
when i run  brconnect on OS level it works fine with <sid>adm and SAPService<SID>
however if create a brconnect.cmd file where i specify the command as
    SET ORACLE_SID= ....
    SET SAPDATA_HOME=....
    C:\windows\sapcluster\brconnect.exe ...........
and run it in sm69 it works fine
Any ideas how to solve this, seems the variables are not taken when running sapxpg
, i don't want to edit the SDBAC for every  command
    P.S
set from sm69 returns only the system wide variables, however i have the two systems on this host, and can not make the environmental variables for ORACLE_SID and SAPDATA_HOME system wide as this will cause problem with the other sap system
Edited by: Yavor Markov on Apr 12, 2010 6:07 PM

    Hi Markov,
Can you tell us with which user id you have installed SAP as well as check the sap services are running with which user id, if it is not <sid>adm then you have to check the environment variables of that user.
Also you can try adding c:\windows\sapcluster in PATH environment variable.

  • Smartform font spacing Issue when using SAP printer name

    Hi Friends,
I am facing some spacing issues when printing a form using SAP printer name. If I use LOCL then the output comes perfectly but when I use the SAP printer name the space between characters are getting widened and so the alignment of each column goes wayward. I suspect it could be due to the device type but not sure which seeting controls this. There is a similar problem in the logo as well. When using LOCL the logo comes out good but when using the printer name the quality is not good and becomes pixelised. Have any of you faced similar issues? Can you provide some guidance or pointers for the solution.
Device type of LOCL : ZSAPWIN
Device type of SAP printer name :  ZHPLJ5
CPI is defined in smartform as 10.
Please let me know if you need more information.
    Thanks,
    Praveen

    Hi,
This problem occurs because the printer driver for both the printers are different,
I suggest you use Local printer only or configure any other printer with printer diver in SAP as SAPWIN.
    Regards,
    Bharat.

  • ODBC ORACLE connection issue when trying to create a datastore. SAP Ds 3.2

I am at a client and I am trying to create an Oracle data store.  I have an Oracle client installed on my laptop and an ORACLE driver.  I can connect and query Oralce tables using Oralce tools on my laptop.
When I go to SAP DS to create a datastore I get an error message "Cannot find NT Oracle Server DLL <OCI.dll>  Make sure Oracle has been installed and the PATH variable has been set"
    The PATH is set correctly.
Creating a data store using Database Oracle give the above message.
If I try using ODBC it cannot find the oracle drive in the system list.
    HELP

    Hello
Are you using a supported version of Oracle?  I hope it's not Oracle 7!
This is probably an installation issue, where is Data Services installed?  If its Program Files (x86), try re-installing in C:\SAP or similar.
Your comment <<If I try using ODBC it cannot find the oracle drive in the system list.>>  makes me wonder if the the Oracle client is not installed properly.

  • "Connect to SAP gateway failed" error message when we connecting bex to bw

any one can help in connecting bex with BW.
we got a error when we are trying to connect bex to bw from offshore. as we do not have basis consultant we only need to connect bex with BW.
    "Connect to SAP gateway failed".
    RFC_ERROR_COMMUNICATION
But it is working properly connecting to onsite team.
this is the first time we are connecting from offshore.

You didnt answer the first question of when exactly are you getting this error message - during direct logon to BEx or using transaction RRMX. Anyways, I assume both are giving the error.
Check how the SAP logon pad is configured to access the BW server currently.
In our case the problem was resolved by using the server machine name instead of the IP address to logon to the BW server.
If you are currently using the IP address in the logon pad then change it to the server machine name instead.
Also, make this entry in your hosts file (windows>system32>drivers>etc>hosts) add an entry like:
    <IP Address> <bw_server_machine_name>
save the file, reboot the system and then try logging onto BEx again.
If it still does not work - send me screenshots of the logon pad configuration you have for the BW server.
    Hope this helps,
    Regards,
    Nikhil

  • When downloading the trial, has anyone run into download issues?

when downloading the trial, has anyone run into download issues?

I remembered we have weird permission issues at work. Somewhere between my Home Windows 8 machine(horrible permissions issues with network), my home mac, email and my work computer, some permission got out of whack. The workaround for this was copying the file to my desktop, back to the exact same spot on the network. This resolved all issues.

  • Issue in registering program id to SAP gateway using JCO

    Hi All,
In our java application we are registering a program id to SAP gateway so that we can listen the data sent from R/3 systems.
I need some basic information about the gateway registeration. I have following queries :-
    1. If I register a program id, till what time this registeration remains in the R/3 system.
    2. Is there any way to do the permanent registeration.
    3. In our scenario we have clustered java server which is set up on a clustered OS. That means one java server is on one hardware machine and other java server is on another machine. Once we register a program id from one of the java server ,it
gets registered with that particular machine IP address. Now if one of the java server gets down ,other java server should start listening to SAP system. But this is not happening because our other java server is on another machine whose IP address is different and is not registered with SAP system. Is there any way to deal with this situation. One thing we could think of is to register all the machines permanently with SAP system. So that whichever machine gets down communication will not break. All the machines will remain registered in the R/3. But I am not sure how to do that.
    Can anyone help me here.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Reena

1.) The registration remains active until you unregister it, or until the SAP gateway recognizes that the connection has been interrupted somehow. If there are multiple registrations of the same programID, this is valid for each single one. So one could say, that a programID's registration is valid as long as at least one registration is still valid.
2.) There is no such thing. What do you mean with permanent registration?
3.) You already gave the answer by yourself. Just register all RFC servers from all nodes simultaneously. The RFC requests will be dispatched to any of the nodes all the time. If one server node gets down, the connections to this particular server will be interrupted and it won't receive any RFC requests any longer.
And you don't know how to do that? Just start the RFC servers on all server nodes and they will register at the SAP gateway. I don't understand this question.

  • How to get around a performance issue when dealing with a lot of data

    Hello All,
This is an academic question really, I'm not sure what I'm going to do with my issue, but I have some options.  I was wondering if anyone would like to throw in their two cents on what they would do.
I have a report, the users want to see all agreements and all conditions related to the updating of rebates and the affected invoices. From a technical perspective ENT6038-KONV-KONP-KONA-KNA1.  THese are the tables I have to hit.  The problem is that when they retroactively update rebate conditions they can hit thousands of invoices, which blossoms out to thousands of conditions...you see the problem. I simply have too much data to grab, it times out.
I've tried everything around the code.  If you have a better way to get price conditions and agreement numbers off of thousands of invoices, please let me know what that is.
I have a couple of options.
    1) Use shared memory to preload the data for the report.  This would work, but I'm not going to know what data is needed to be loaded until report run time. They put in a date. I simply can't preload everything. I don't like this option much.
    2) Write a function module to do this work. When the user clicks on the button to get this particular data, it will launch the FM in background and e-mail them the results. As you know, the background job won't time out. So far this is my favored option.
    Any other ideas?
Oh...nope, BI is not an option, we don't have it. I know, I'm not happy about it. We do have a data warehouse, but the prospect of working with that group makes me whince.

My two cents - firstly totally agree with Derick that its probably a good idea to go back to the business and justify their requirement in regards to reporting and "whether any user can meaningfully process all those results in an aggregate". But having dealt with customers across industries over a long period of time, it would probably be bit fanciful to expect them to change their requirements too much as in my experience neither do they understand (too much) technology nor they want to hear about technical limitations for a system etc. They want what they want if possible yesterday!
So, about dealing with performance issues within ABAP, I'm sure you must be already using efficient programming techniques like using Hash internal tables with Unique Keys, accessing rows of the table using Field-Symbols and all that but what I was going to suggest to you is probably look at using [Extracts|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/9f/db9ed135c111d1829f0000e829fbfe/content.htm]. I've had to deal with this couple of times in the past when dealing with massive amount of data and I found it to be very efficient in regards to performance. A good point to remember when using Extracts that, I quote from SAP Help, "The size of an extract dataset is, in principle, unlimited. Extracts larger than 500KB are stored in operating system files. The practical size of an extract is up to 2GB, as long as there is enough space in the filesystem."
    Hope this helps,
    Cheers,
    Sougata.

    Hi,
I can see that there are several SAP notes regarding this issue, you just need to check their symptons and if they are valid for your SAP_APPL release and support package.
    Here are the SAP notes:
    - 1295055: Product cost collector: Field AFPO-WEMNG set incorrectly
    - 964308: COMPUTE_BCD_OVERFLOW in CKMO_GET_ORD_HIST_NETWR_MMIM

  • Issue when Bursting reports via new Precalculation Server

    Hello,
We are trying to migrate away from our unsupported 720 installation of the SAP Precalculation software to a new Precalculation Server running the latest versions. We’ve overcome a number of issues and we can successfully Broadcast using the new server but we are encountering problems
    with bursting.
The Bursts have been running successfully on the old 720 server, so we know that the BW side must be fine which suggests the problem is with the Precalculation server. We have been through the Precalculation checklist and the servers appears to have been built successfully. The Precalculation and Business Explorer software has been patched to the latest version and it’s running Excel 2013.
The main error message we are seeing is “The RPC server is unavailable” HRESULT: 0x800706BA.
A Screen shot showing the error in RSRD_LOG  is shown in the attached document.
Below is an extract from the Log of the Precalc server showing this error, just before the RPC Server is unavailable message it states
