Sorry to keep making threads about little things, but I reckon it's worth checking. My MuVo feels quite a bit hotter after I upload files to it (completely fill over USB2.0 usually). It cools down in a few minutes, but I thought I'd check to see if it's normal behaviour. If it's relevant, the USB connector on the main bit (with the controls) is squint (angled towards the screen face of the player).
Also, my battery module's a bit creaky. When I press buttons on the player or swap the battery I can feel it creaking into different positions. The main player doesn't do this on its own, so I'm wondering if all the battery modules are like that. If not, I might send off for a new battery module as it's only about ?9 and it'd really improve the feel of the player (I hate cheap-feeling plastic if it's something I'm handling a lot).
Edit- Just to elaborate on the "creaky" thing, the battery pack feels really loose and plasticky on its own and when the main player bit's plugged in. This makes the whole thing feel a bit fiddly, creaking when I press down on buttons or the scroller, when in fact the player bit itself feels solid on its own.
Now, if I pop the player in the belt clip holster widget, it suddenly "tightens" up, presumably because the holster is pressing in around the player. It feels really, really solid. Is the problem shared by all the battery packs, or have I just mistreated mine a bit's If it's the latter I'll nab a new battery pack.Message Edited by Sockatume on 06-20-2005 03:44 AM

My Zen Micro heated up a bit when I was charging/transferring files too. I just unplugged it and in a few minutes it was fine. So that seems to be normal. Don't know about the other problem though, sorry.

I think you're wanting to use the MuVo battery pack as an external battery for the other MP3 player. That probably would work, as long as your new player doesn't draw more power than the battery pack can supply. Also, if the new player plugs directly into a USB port (like the iPod Shuffle), you'll probably need some kind of extension, such as a USB "A-plug to A-jack" extension cable or an iPod Shuffle dock.
IIRC, the older MuVos' headphone jacks were in the battery pack; thus it's highly unlikely you can use that jack with your other player.

My experience is you need to do it twice: first read it to a StringBuffer and readline. Then write the file to server. See the code below

After uploading file in BLOB using webutil file on system locked?

I uploaded file in BLOB using webutil upload utility. But after uploading it locks the file and i cannot delete the file unless i close the iexplorer window.
Is there any way to unlock the file and delete it with out closing the application(iexplorer). If any body knows please reply.

Unable to run UNIX command after uploading file using webutil_file_transfer

OS: UNIX Solaries , Oracle Application Server 10g
I designed a form contains 2 buttons
1- Upload button: to let the user upload form.fmb file to the application server using webutil_file_transfer function
2- Compile button to compile the uploaded form in the applications server to generete the FMX using the following command

Add the weblogic server's bin directory to your PATH. You will need to a couple of WLS jars to the CLASSPATH. There might be something in the installation/setup documentation that tells you all this. I have only used WLS 5.1 and 7.0.

File Upload File Renaming

I was wondering if anyone knows how to set up a trigger to automatically rename a file on upload to change spaces into underscores using DToolbox image and resize feature. An example is from "My picture.jpg" to "My_picture.jpg". I also wonder if this could be part of a form validation? Maybe using a spry widget?
I have no experience with triggers, and especially the adobe tng.FileUpload.class.php file (which I assume is where to change the trigger? or maybe it's in the tng.ImageUpload.class.php file?)

Hi Chris,
fotunately I already made such a modification to ADDT´s predecessor "MX Kollection", and as the core files didn´t change, it will assumingly work the same:
1. add the following function to the file "includes/common/KT_functions.inc.php":
replace all chars from uploaded filenames other than alpha-numeric and "_" and "-" and "." with an underscore (_)

return preg_replace("/[^a-zA-Z0-9\-_\.]+/", "_", $text);
2. change line 120 in file "includes/common/lib/file_upload/KT_FileUpload.class.php":
old: $fileName = KT_replaceSpecialChars($fileName, 'filter');
new: $fileName = KT_websafe_filename($fileName, 'filter');
This modification will of course *always* be renaming the uploaded file accordingly -- but you´ll need no fancy trigger and anything else.
Please backup the 2 original files !!

Battery failure on 4S after uploading latest ios update

Updated the latest IOS software update yesterday and this morning my battery was completely dead. Went to the Apple store and they could not charge it and told me I would have to buy a new phone or a new battery. Anyone else have this problem?

It is horrible ! my wife is kicking and screaming because I convinced her to upgrade to IOS 7 and happens to be that she just doesn't like the os but I have a major issue with the battery, I have closed all location services period ! turned off my wi-fi completely, not using my bluetooth at all, basically turned every option that makes it a smartphone and still I am only able to get 3.5 hours on a 100% charged battery to phone going dead. If I put it on airplane mode then It seems to be ok. That tells me that there is still some setting that i have not turned off that is draining my battery. The phone does get warm when it is off the airplane mode. I have turned off the background app refresh, all location services, all notifications, all of the so far posted recommended fixes but no result, apple can not hold our devices hostage like this. Need a fix ASAP !.

PSE8 aborts after uploading files to photosharing sites

I am having a completely reproducable problem in PSE8. If I am uploading images to SmugMug (or another photosharing site), lose my Internet connection, specify 'try again latter,' and reboot my computer, I cannot restart PSE8; the program aborts and wants to send a report to Adobe. I tried solving the problem by following the steps in Adobe's troubleshootiing article.
The problem is solved only if I create a new user account and run PSE from the new account. This is very frustrating and time consuming. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, how did you correct it? If not, is there additional steps that I should perform that will help me diagnose and correct this problem?

More than likely your control panel for these is not supported under the safari browser...

Cannot edit properties after overwriting file in a document library

I am (programmatically) overwriting a file in a document library after which none of the metadata fields can be edited either programmatically or manually:
Edit Properties -> change something -> Save
There is no error, just none of the metadata fields will actually update. To overwrite the file, I am using copy.asmx webservice. I get the same result when overwriting via REST, or just doing a plain http PUT. I also tried list.asmx webservice to update metadata.
As long as I don't overwrite a file, everything works great.
This is Sharepoint 2010. Versioning is off, checkout is not required. "Overwriting" means there is an existing file, previously uploaded manually or with copyservice and the new file has the same name.
Has anybody seen this behavior? (or managed to get a sharepoint document library file into a similar state).

According to your post, my understanding is that after uploading file using the Copy.asmx web service, you could not edit the properties.

You can create new library to check whether it works, maybe the library had been corrupted.

Does anybody know when the Zen Sleek docking station will be back in stock, or is it in stock anywhere else? I was hoping to get it before christmas. Is there a new one coming out becuase of the Zen Sleek Photo release?

The battery pack for the V200 is a different size/shape to the one for the TX, NX, TX FM etc. More important I suppose is whether the actual MP3 module is the same size or not; whether the V200 module will fit in the TX battery compartment or not.
Creative's official answer will probably be that they are different. On first looks they appear different but someone with both players might be able to give you a better answer.

I'm thinking about buying one and I like to have at least a bit of color. Most of the MuVos sold in Europe are either black, white, or grey.

I really liked this phone and can not believe that you are now going to charge us $79 a battery to fix what is most definately a problem with your latest update. I know other people outside of our company that are having the same problem. Not to mention when I called AT&T it was confirmed to me that they are hearing the same issue and then some from other customers as well. Your own people, once I talked to them earlier today, told me they are showing a history of issues that are showing up after the update was put in place. Of course she tried to say, "Maybe the age of the battery and the update both contributed". Whatever.
I want you all to know how disappointed I am in your company for the handling of this issue. I always thought "Apple" was the line I didn't have to worry about having any types of issue. And that you all would stand behined your product 100%. Now I am not so sure.
I would love to hear back from your company on how you perceive the issue with all of these phones that prior to the update didn't have any issues and how after the update THEY ARE NOW having issues. I do not believe this was an issue due to the age of a battery and that was pretty lame to say so. It was fine and now its not.
Please feel free to contact me and help me figure out a way to pay for all of the batteries that will be needed for our company to contiue doing business as needed.

Battery pack for creative MuVo tx

Hey everyone, im currently living in australia and i have seemed to have lost half of my MuVo TX FM 52mb mp3 player. Ive got the USB key part, but im missing the Battery Pack that plugs into it for me to be able to use it as an mp3 player. I have noticed that you can buy the battery pack as a seperate accesory in all countrys BUT australia. If someone can point me in the right direction in purchasing one of these it would be greatly appreciated.
