Crear Marcadores / Indices en acrobat

Hola a tod@s
Tngo un libro en word que tngo q convertir a pdf, pero debo hacerlo creando el índice en el marcador. Se hacerlo a mano pero el problema es que son muchisimas hojas (más de 500) y el ir página por página es un trabajazo. Se que hay alguna forma para hacerlo automáticamente aunque porque he visto manuales en pdf de más de 2000 páginas con un índice muy estructurado, no se si lo han hecho en acrobat o con algun otro programa. Si alguien pudiera aconsejarme se lo agradecería.

En Word aplica estilos a los titulares que quieres convertir a marcadores de acrobat y en orden jerarquico, por ejemplo: Titular 1, Titular 2 y Titular 3, no te recomiendo más de 3 escalones.
Al convertir con PdfMaker, configuraló para que cree marcadores de los anteriores estilos y ya está

Sobre tablas pool y cluster no existe forma de crear índices, tienes que buscar otra técnica para mejorar el desempeño en la consulta, la mejora en desempeño se puede llevar a cabo usando cursores, o programación en paralelo, es decir, que la única manera que conozco de optimizar la consulta sobre tablas cluster o pool es desde el código fuente.

Como Puedo crear un indice de figuras en pages?

Amigos estoy haciendo un trabajo monografico en pages y me gustaria poder hacer un indice de las figuras y tabas, si alguien sabe como, me ayudaria mucho.

Escriba los títulos en un párrafo en las imágenes y darles un título * Estilo de párrafo.
Entonces, utilizar ese estilo de párrafo Leyenda cuando el índice docuemnt con una tabla de contenido.

Crear un formulario con foto en Adobe acrobat / Mac

Hola, uso Mac y quiero armar un formulario con una foto, y que cada cliente puede insertar su foto (jpg) desde su desktop. El Adobe LiveCycle no esta disponible en Mac. Creo que se puede mediante lenguaje Java Scrip, seguí algunos pasos que encontré online, pero solo te permite subir formato PDF. Alguien sabe otra solución?

Pueds crear un PDFform en Acrobat Pro con campos de texto, botones, .... y campos o cajas para gráficos.
Quien quiera editar o completar ese PDF tiene que usar un Acrobat Reader o un Pro.
No estoy seguro si se puede añadir o cambiar una imagen de un formulario con permisos compartidos en Adobe Reader.
(En el Professional seguro que sí aunque probablemente no todos los usuarios lo tengan).

Acrobat 8 PDF printing with Windows 8.1/MS office 2013

I upgraded computer to Windows 8.1 and MS office professional 2013 and reinstalled adobe acrobat 8.
When I try to create pdf files from office 2013 document (Excel, Word, Publisher), computer freezes when window opens to select pfd document destination.
I tried opening office document in acrobat and try to create pdf file. I get pdf maker missing at this point.
Before updating computer I ran compatibility tool and it indicated my acrobat 8.3.1 was compatible with Windows 8.1; however noted that I needed to go to adobe website for help with adobe ExtendScript toolkit 2. I don’t know what adobe ExtendScript toolkit 2 is and if it is associated with Adobe Acrobat or CS3.

I have no idea about the extend tool. You need to update to the latest version of AA 8, but it appears you are there with 8.3.1. You should print to the Adobe PDF printer. OFFICE 2013 is not compatible with the AA8 PDF Maker. So far I have only seen one person suggesting success with AA8 and Win8.1. If you can give details about your problem, we might be able to help, but you may not be successful. Only time and trial will tell.

This.closeDoc crashes Acrobat X

I recently upgraded from Acrobat Pro 8 to Version 10. In the previous version I was able to use
this.closeDoc(true);
just fine. In the new version, it crashes every time, indicating "Adobe Acrobat has encountered a problem and needs to close." This is running either from a toolbar button defined in a folder level javascript or from a document level javascript (both have the same result). It will also crash when I use
app.activeDocs[index].closeDoc(true);
as a workaround. The problem appears to be that it won't allow you to close the active document. I've noticed that it works fine when run from the console, however.
I've scoured the web and no one seems to have a solution to this. Do you have any suggestions? Is this a new security restriction? Is it a bug in the current version?

Closing documents has always been flaky, because there may be later events waiting to be delivered to a document which is about to go away. If you are triggering anything from a mouse down, try it from a mouse up.

Troubles with Windows after installing Acrobat X

I built a Windows 7 machine from scratch twice and ended up with the same issue. As soon as I install Adobe Acrobat X Standard, Windows Explorer freezes whenever I right-click on something in Windows Explorer (icon on desktop or inside folder). I disabled the Acrobat Shell Extension but still have other problems. I was unable to print anything to any of my printers. If I right-clicked on a printer, it would freeze up again. If I restarted the print spooler service, it resumed normal operation. The first time I upgraded to the latest update (10.1.13) and had the same problem. After the second reload, I left it at the default version 10.0.0. I have the same problem either way. I was able to remove all of the printers from Windows through registry and Windows System32 and recreated my printers. I also recreated the Adobe PDF printer per Adobe's instructions on their website. My initial tests proved successful. But when my user went to try it, the "Creating Adobe PDF" window came up and he got about 3 bars and it froze. I went in and tried printing some other PDFs, and it did create the files, but it would not let me delete the files. It indicated that Acrobat.exe still had the file locked. When I tried uninstalling Acrobat, it would stall part way through until I restarted the Print Spooler service. I have also tried disabling the AntiVirus (SEP).
I have spent way too many hours setting up this PC 3 different times and troubleshooting this. My gut says that there is a Windows update that may be interfering with this. But I don't know where to start. This worked fine on his previous machine (same version of all software.
I would appreciate any assistance. Surely someone else has run into this before. Thanks in advance.

> Disable all the Antivirus softwares like CA, Norton,Mc Afee etc. temporarily from the computer.
Reboot and try installing in the new enabled Admin user account and check

Dos preguntas acerca de los marcadores en premiere cs6, acabo de pasarme de la cs5 a la cs6:
1 - Quería saber si en cs6 no hay forma de navegar entre marcadores de clip en el panel de linea de tiempo, en la cs5 lo podía hacer, incluso con el atajo de teclado, CtrlShiftFlecha izquierda/derecha, pero en la cs6 no encuentro esa opción, y en esta ayuda en el apartado "Dirección a un marcador de clip o marcador de secuencia en un panel Línea de tiempo" dice que es sólo para cs5.5 o anteriores. No hay esa opción en cs6? por qué? era muy útil!!
2- Al crear marcadores en una secuencia incrustada en otra secuencia de la siguiente manera "Configure un método abreviado de teclado para “Agregar marcador de clip” en Edición > Métodos abreviados de teclado (Windows) o Premiere Pro > Métodos abreviados de teclado (Mac OS)."... al hacerlo en clips normales (de color azul) funciona todo bien, pero al hacerlo en secuencias anidadas (clips de color verde) crea el marcador, pero al entrar a esa secuencia haciendole doble click o abriéndola en el monitor de origen, esos marcadores no aparecen, no existen, sólo se visualizan en la linea de tiempo donde los creé, es normal? o es un error? siendo que con los clips normales no pasa lo mismo.

Is it possible to pick up an existing PDF without permissions and give it permissions?

There is a product in the field that will convert JES2 output from the mainframe to a PDF. However, the product does not have the abilility to set permissions correctly for comment and markup features to be used in Adobe Reader. The plan was to have the product email the PDF's to a Server that would be running a version of Acrobat and have Acrobat set the persmissions. So, I would need the capability to pick up a current non-permissioned PDF with Acrobat and set the permissions to demonstrate that capability prior to ordering a trial of the product in the field. I have tried to do that but it doesn't seem to work or I am not doing it right. How do I do that? Running Acrobat 7.0 PRO and Adobe Reader 9.0.

Thanks George. We are basically trying to evolve our Mainframe developers off of the need for continuous forms print. H&W's JES2WEB product will take JES2 output and convert it to PDF's. Giving each developer the ability to do markup and comment features would be great in that evolution, but unfortunately JES2WEB can't set the permissions. That's why I was looking to have a server do the permissions settings for the PDF's produced by JES2WEB. The first time I called Adobe support they indicated that Acrobat should be able to do what I was asking. Do you think Adobe's LiveCycle would be able to work in this manner from a licensing standpoint or is every desktop expected to be Acrobat licensed to get these features? The latter would most likely be cost prohibitive.

i am googling here but only coming up with highly specialized pages. one indicated that Acrobat Pro would read these but it doesn't seem to be working.

hi csound. i have to read up on this and printed some information from wiki and elsewhere so i will chunk through this tomorrow. i guess these are often created by academics or mathematicians with various types of acronyms that hinge around "TeX" or "LaTeX" or something similar. i think i will have to crunch this a bit more on my end.

Are all parts of Adobe Creative Suite 3 truly "Mac-Intel Optimized"?

I know from using Photoshop CS3 Beta that it renders effects faster on the Intel Macs than CS2. Adobe has indicated that Acrobat 8 Pro (part of CS3) will render PDFs faster on Intel Macs than previous versions.
I'm wondering if InDesign CS3 or Illustrator CS3 "crunch" things faster. Or are they "nominally" Intel Native with extra features over CS2 versions.

There are a couple articles or blogs on the topic of 64-bit applications and Adobe's move to 64-bit.
The benefits, but the cost in programming, too.
One thing at a time. Get the code cleaned up for one thing. And most of their core base, even Vista, isn't fully up to 64-bit. It will come, but later. And wait for Leopard to begin development work and large installed base.

Converting Tiff to PDF

we have a rather urgent requirement to convert Tiff to PDF using an adobe product and without impacting the budget..
the last time i did any conversion to pdf, i used standard version of acrobat which came with pdf maker. unfortunately, this was only for Word documents and i had to instantiate a copy of word and invoke a print in order to do this. that i was using VB.
what is the easiest way to convert tiff to pdf programmatically?
one of our developers indicated that acrobat jar (free download) may allow you to do conversions as well. is this right?? seems akward considering the # of pdf converters out there.
we are mainly a java shop.

No, this is a viewer only. It does not do PDF creation.

Adobe does not offer any free products capable of converting TIFF to PDF directly.
However, there is a possibility. Currently Adobe is running a Beta program for its Acrobat.com services (http://www.acrobat.com). Here you can create a PDF from a TIFF for free, and you can register for a developer key to get access to the API if you wish to construct an application leveraging the Acrobat.com services.
Just remember - the service is still in Beta, and it is not a "redistributable" SDK in the common sense. All the conversion processing will be done by Acrobat.com on the Acrobat.com servers, it is not done locally on your machines, so your application needs to take this into consideration.

Pregunta de Garantias

Una pregunta que = y es muy tonta pero soy nuevo en esto del SAP
Hice un Addon pero hago una busqueda en base a un Campo de usuario ya ven que cuando crean un campo nuevo les dice ke si va a ser indexado le activo esa opcion y no crea el Index.
La pregunta es si creo yo el Index directamente en la tabla pierdo la garantia de mi cliente ??

Como estas Alfredo,
lo que yo haria, independiente del tema garantia, es generar una base de pruebas y sobre ella crear el indice.
Luego correria tu consulta en esta base y comprobaria que el plan de ejecución de SQL estuviese usando el indice creado.
Pues si el plan de ejecución utilizado por SQL, determina que el indice no será usado, entonces no tiene razón de ser tener un indice.
También debes considerar que la generación de un indice no cluster, puede ayudar a tu consulta pero estropear otras.
como verás y evaluaria primero el rendimiento de este nuevo indice y luego revisar el tema de garantias que según entiendo (no oficial), no deberias tener problemas, pues en la creación de indices no existe manipulación de datos fisicos de por medio.

Habilitar boton para enviar correo

Hola,
Tengo un formulario creado en LiveCycle Designer 7.0, cuando lo lleno en Arobat professional 7 funciona el boton de "enviar correo electrónico", sin embargo cuando lo abro en Acobar reader 9 me inhabilita el boton, ¿Eso se puede solucinar de alguna forma?. Tambien tiene un boton de impresión y ese funciona en ambas versiones.

Leí la discusión paralela que abriste en el foro de Designer y, después de responderte allí, pensé que en realidad debí haberlo hecho aquí. Así que reproduzco aquí la respuesta que te di allá.
Veo que en la discusión se mezclaron varias cosas, así que vamos por partes.
1. No tengo experiencia en el uso de Designer, pero siempre he leído que es más sencillo crear formularios PDF usando Acrobat que Designer.
2. Para poder enviar de vuelta y guardar un formulario en PDF ya completado usando Reader, entiendo que debes tener como mínimo la versión 8 de Reader. Además, el formulario debe haber sido habilitado especialmente para ello, lo que sólo puede hacerse a partir de la versión 8 de Acrobat Pro (y me imagino que, por lo tanto, sólo a partir de la versión 8 de Designer).
3. Adobe sólo vende actualizaciones a la última versión de cada uno de sus programas; es decir, en este momento sólo puedes actualizar tu Acrobat a la versión 9. Y lo puedes hacer desde las versiones 6 en adelante.
