Creat a new change request always when a new package test is created.

Hi all,
I am facing or not a possible problem in our Solman 7.0 EHP1 support package 22. We're trying to open a new package test in our production environment. Always has been asked me by system to creat a new change request. So in our case the mandator option is not available in production invironment.
My question is:
Is necessary to open mandator option in this case or are there other option to create a new package test whitout create a new change request?
Has anyone experience by solving this problem or some useful SAP note?

Hi,
let me explain more details what is happens in our QAS environment:
1) Open STWB_2 transaction;
2) Creat e new test plan;
3) After confirm "Generate test plan", you can see a new screen open to: "Creat object Directory Entry" with two options to save "Local Object" or "Lock Overview";
For me, the third step is about to creat a new change request. So we need to know if is this necessary, or I can disable this necessity to generate a request always.
Is necessary to creat a new request in production environment? Or we can disable it?

Issue with creating new change request

We have implemented charm and we are using the workcenters for people to be able to access and create new change requests. When i click on the link to create a new change request it takes me to the screen to create a new one and it shows a New Change Request Number eg 51. With out saving or entering anything I go out and back to the workcenter and then click to creat a new change request and when it takes me back in to create a new change request it shows a new change request number i.e 52. Why would it do this?

wel by default a transaction is autosaved..so u hav diff no each time you logged into this.
Go to spro and choose your transaction type i.e. SDCR for change request and double click it
and now remove the Tick from
Early No. assignement
This wil solve your problem so whenver it opn no appears by default only whn u press save it generates a no.

How to notify (email) Change Manager when new Change Request is created

Hi there, I am battling to generate an email when a developer creates a Change Request directly in the SolMan system. When he creates a new Change Request via CRMD_ORDER by filling in the Sold-to-Party, Change Manager, iBase etc., the message is automatically in 'To Be Approved'. I want to notify the Change Man ager as soon as a new Change Request has been submitted, but when I check the Actions tab in the message, no email action is listed or executed. I have edited SLFN0001_STANDARD... in SPPFCADM with conditions set. How can I create a email notification for the Change Manager as soon as a Change Request is in To Be Approved status?

Create a action definition with the following information:
Processing when saving.
No restriction.
Check Schedule Automatically.
Check Partner-Dependent.
Select Partner Function for Change Manager.
Determination Using Conditions that Can be Transported.
Then you have to create an Start Condition such as; userstatus = to be approved.
No scheduled condition is needed.

Firefox 6 ,Hyperlink not opening when I select Open In New Tab, it always Open In New Windows.

I have just upgrade to Firefox 6 and I having problems opening Hyperlink when I select Open In New Tab, it always Open In New Windows. It will work when I open another copy of Firefox browser but not on my main browser. Any suggestions to fix this ?

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Transport request prompted when insert new entries for ADCOMP via SM30?

When I insert new entries for table ADCOMP via SM30, the system prompts me for a transport request number when I save the entries. It never asks me the transport no. for any other tables via SM30 edit. Is it something specific to table ADCOMP?
The Table Maintenace Generator is delived by SAP with Authorization group assign to VC (SD User Control), will this cause the issue I have here?
The user is responsible for updating the entries in Production, I had created a Z tcode to run SM30 on this table, at the end, it stills ask for a transport request no.
Can someone help me out on this?

I had searched OSS notes before I posted my question here. Note# 726769 mentioned the maintenance view on ADCOMP. As I mentioned in my last reply, I am NOT going to change anything on ADCOMP, I just create a custom view ZV_ADCOMP on top of it and change the attributes on the custom view.
I tried and it seems working. I can enter data via SM30 on ZV_ADCOMP, it allows me to save the data without a transport request.
I think my problem has been solved. Thanks for Rob and Suhas 's reply. Points has been rewarded for both.

Change Request - subject is Normal Corre. but its creating Correction SDMI

When I am authorizing the Change Request(SDCR) it is creating Correction(SDMI) insted of Normal Correction (SDMJ).
Even though I am selecting subject as Normal Correction (Maintenance). what could be the reason ?

The problem is that this is the second time I am facing the Issue & it disappears after BC set is run every time.
I dont want every time to run the BC set, because if I do any customization & run BC set then it will remove the customized things.

Once the transport is released, i think we can not change the description. The other could be create transport copy for this transport and change the name.
foloow the below steps to create transport copy
--> Go to SE01 --> Request -> Create --> Choose Transport of Copies --> Enter description
--> Click Include Object button (Ctrl+F11) --> Choose Object list from request -> Enter Request Number which contains object(s) you want to copy.
--> That's your new Transport Request.

Finder opening new Windows despite always open in new Tabs setting.

I have already submitted this to Apple. But wish to open a discussion here, to probe and see, if this issue frustrates other users. It would be nice to get some empirical weight behind my already submitted request.
The Issue: I have already set in Finder »always open in new tabs«. Despite this, when for example one clicks on »view Download in Finder« (Safari), or via a Spotlight-search clicks CMD+R to view a search-result in Finder, a new Finder-Window gets launched. This is really frustrating and quickly clutters up the desktop. Could Apple please fix this, so that »always open in a new tab« really does just this? (Or at the very least, opens a new tab in the last opened Finder-window).
The same irritation ist true for Terminal. I just wished users would be have the option to open everything in the same (e.g. the last opened) window.

Cant change Picture Position when setting new wallpaper.

I change my background recently and noticed I cantchange the picture position. Meaning I cant make the picture stretch to fit, fill the screen, tile, center, etc. I can change the option in the control panel, but nothing happens.  Its not a huge issue, but Id like to be able to make my wallpaper fit right.

I can offer the following: You might be dealing with a "bug" unless there is something weird about that theme / background image you are trying to install. OR there might be a fix and you need to run Windows Updates... OR your registry might be hosed, in which case you are up a creek without means of locomotion... One of many examples of Posts dealing with similar issues:PROBLEM WITH WINDOWS 7 THEMES, WONT REMEMBER SLIDESHOW, CREATES NEW THEMES BY ITSELF People have been complaining for a long time that -- for whatever reason -- the Operating System will sometimes not cooperate when trying to save / display / deal with Themes. I have not seen this happen - ever - and I have been using Windows since - well, a long time ago. So, what? It means it did not happen to me and yet it did happen to lots of other people.  You might try the following: Windows 7 does come with a few standard built-in themes of its own; you might try one of the standard Windows 7 themes and see if at least one of the Standard Themes work as they should. Right-Click on your Desktop > Personalize > Select from Windows Default themes  Why do this? It is a good "first test" because Windows 7 Themes Work with Windows 7 Operating System. Next, go out to a trusted source on the Internet, download and install a wall paper that is made for your monitor's Display type. For example, you can go to Hubble Space Images Wallpaper Install one of these images -- see if that works. Why do this? It is a good "second test" because these images are made to work -- and should work, assuming the system is going to accept "wallpaper" at all and is not tied up in some weird "bug state". When tcode: COR1 create process order, i want to change some fields value on the tab: "Goods Recpt", for example the field: Goods Recipient: , anyone konws how to do this? now i am trying to using the exit: PPCO0001( EXIT_SAPLCOBT_001)
in thie eixt tables POSITION_TABLE : has this field: WEMPF (Goods Recipient) , i add some coding to change this field and save , but the change is not affect on the order . that is when open the order just create , this field is still empty.
do i need some other process or call some other functions or some other exit to do this?

Change Blank Page when opening New Tab

Is there anyway in Safari 3 to change the blank page that opens when starting a new tab? Anyway to change it to Google or any page you like?

I don't believe this is possible, but even if it were, setting it to Google would be pointless, since you can already do a Google search from the browser search bar.

When I try to add a new e-mail account in MacMail, the populated default name for the user is incorrect. I have to change it to my name and was wondering where this is coming from and how to remove it.

Cannot change Locator Control when defining new Subinventory

Hi,
I'm trying to create a new subinventory, in R12.1.3, and can't change the Locator Control field which is set to Preprecified. The option is grayed out/locked.
In the Inventory organization parameters the Locator Control is set to "determined on subinventory level", but any chage doesn't affect the option in the subinentory.
Can anyone pls explain why?

How to program TestStand to open a Config VI always when a new step is inserted?

I created a step type and packed it within a custom type palette (".ini" file). The code Module for this Step is a LabVIEW Express VI.
Using the "Step Type Menu Editor" I included this new step within the "Insert Step>>"
Menu.
Question: How to Program TestStand or the step type, so that by the insertion of this new step within the
sequence the configuration dialog box of the express VI automatically pops up? (this would be like using
the option "Configure VI..." within the step context menu)
I would appreciate a lot all the help about this issue!

I. In order to accomplish this you need to insert a custom substep in your step type.
    1. Go to your step types properties and select the substeps tab.
    2. Select the ActiveX/COM Adapter from the Adapter list.
    3. Add a new custom substep.
    4. Rename it -> OnNewStep
    5. Specify the Module.
    6. Object Reference = Step.
    6. Object Class = Step.
    7. Call the Method -> EditCode.
Now every time you insert your step, this substep will be executed and as a result you will get the Express VI configuration dialog.

Creating a trigger to only run when a new table is being created

I know that I can use this to create DDL create trigger;

END;Problem is this trigger would run on DDLs like 'Create sequence'; how can I only execute this for 'Create Table' DDLs?

Check ora_sysevent coupled with ora_dict_obj_type in your trigger. That will help you capture the CREATE TABLE event.
