Creat Reservation with M/T 313

Dear Experts,
The reservation is accepting for movement type 311 which is also the material transfer from one storage location to other, but with one step. Is there similar activity we would like to do in two steps through movement type 313.
I hope there must be solution , please try and let us know.

Please check mvt 311 and 313 using SE16 + T156. It depends on T156-RSTYP whether the mvt can be used for reservatio or not:
SAP F1 help for T156-RSTYP:
If the indicator has not been set, the movement type cannot be used to generate a reservation

How can my IDoc create shipment with a given number

Hi,
I m using IDoc type SHPMNT03, message type SHPMNT and precess code SHPM to create shipment document via EDI.
How can I generate a shippment with a specific number and not with the number genetrated automatically??

Need to create stock item reservation with account assignment

Hi Gurus,
we are working on EBP 4.0 , extended classic scenario . We have a scenario where we want to create a shopping cart for stock item reservation with account assignment as work order.
but when we try to do it , we are getting following error message
"Unable to create stock reservation for this account assignment."
Any ideas how this can be resolved?

Hi Mangesh,
In reference to the info. you have provided, the issue seems to be with the account assignment category than anything else.What do you mean by Account assignment as work order? Need some clarity in this statement, to help you in this regard.
You can create a cost center (account assignment) P.O and can mention the storage location. The stock will be updated in the storage location where as the FI document will be posted against the cost center.

MRP stoage location - create reservation and external demand

Hi
Our company using MRP for sloc - ROP - type VB
plant 1000 with
sloc 1 (Distribution Center)
sloc 2 (branch) - planning at storage location
sloc 3 (branch) -planning at storage location
currently if I run MRP, a reservation is created from sloc 2 & 3 to plant 1000
and sloc1 will tranfer the stocks to sloc 2 & 3
Question 1: Can a reservation be created together with a PR at plant 1000 as the product need to be purchase from external vendor whenever a MRP is executed?
currently I manipulating the ROP at Plant level to take into requirement for sloc 2 & 3

I am not sure I understand the question. Are you saying that you want to create a purchase req to move stock from 'plant general' to Sloc 2 or 3? Or, do you wish to generate a PurReq from a 3rd party vendor into plant level stock? or what?
It sounds like you are currently using replenishment via "stock transfer from storage location to storage location in a plant' for your sloc 2 & 3. There are other methods.
If you are using VB against the material/plant, the only time you will generate a purreq is when plant stock (Sloc 123) falls below plant ROP. VB doesn't care if/when you shuffle stock amongst the various storage locations.

Reservation with Extended classic scenario

I'm working at a costumer were we have extended classic scenario. We want to be able to make reservations in the backend if the item is on stock, and we have seen in a solution matrix from SAP that this should be possible.
The configuration for reservations should be done according to the guides - but no reservations is created when ordering a stock material.
I was searching on the developer network, and came across a topic, where it was stated that reservations could only be made with classic scenario (or using a BAdI where you switch the extended on and off depending on product category). Do any of you know if this is really a fact?

Read this first.
You can use BBP_CREATE_RES_BACK BADI using Se18 Transaction.
This BADI You can find in SPRO -> Supplier Rel. Mngmt. -> SRM Server -> Business Add-Ins -> Follow-on document generation -> Reservation in Backend System
If you want to create reservation, you have first to switch from ECS to classic scenario through BBP_EXTLOCALPO_BADI then you have to implement BBP_TARGET_OBJTYPE badi to determine the criteria to create a reservation in your backend.
We need to maintian the customising setings in SPRO Transaction.
Define objects in Back end systems. Maintain the document type EC or ECPO for Purchase Orders and not for creating reservations. Maintain number ranges (RS) and align the same to R/3 or backend systems. In setting up the org plan in the PPOMA_BBP Transaction, the attribute for resevation - Attribute BWA should be maintained too, if reservations are to be created in the backend system.

Maintain the following Settings in the IMG using SPRO Transaction.
1.For internal Procurement > 1.Always Reservation for Material types Subjected to inv Mgmt

Note -> The plant that you use to create the shopping cart might not be extended to handle inventory management. Select a right plant which is extended to inventory management and you will see a reservation being created.
Be aware that:
- with the classic scenario you can create PR, PO and/or Reservations in R/3, but there is no local purchasing document (except the SC), so all functions around the local PO will not be possible.
- with the extended classic scenario, you can only create PO in the backend, but a local PO exists in SRM.
Concerning GR, it is possible to make it in SRM for both scenario

Reservation with Movement Type 415

Hi All,
I am trying to create a reservation against movement type 415 (SL to Project) but I can not see any WBS field in the screen whereas when I am referring the reservation number in MIGO for transfer posting, system ask for WBS.
My requirement is that I should be able to put WBS since my Store Person can not put WBS in MIGO himself unless specified by Project person. For reference take example of reservation with MT 221 which will ask for WBS as mandatory field and it will be automatically picked in MIGO.
My requirement will be fulfilled by MT 415 or 412 and both are not asking for WBS.
Kindly explore.

Reservation does not ask the WBS while using the mvt type 415 or 412 as its is standard SAP setting.For you workaround could be the field unloading point will be used for feeding the WBS. This is how store person can identified aginst which WBS the transcation is to be carried .

Create tablespace with extend, etc.

I am typing the following commands bellow: (ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID is set up correctly).

Can i perhaps add Operating system environment variable to DATAFILE value somehow? I don't want to create tablespace with full file path, starting from drive name and ending with file name.You can use variables in dbca when you create a database (I already can hear you say you don't want that)
You can also use Oracle Managed Files for the entire database ( I already can hear you say you don't want that)
You can not use relative paths, which begs the question why you don't want to use an absolute path, assuming you seldomly create a tablespace.
I don't want to see posts like yours with unjustified 'complaints', yet I do respond to it.

Dear Gurus,
at the time of creating reservation in MB21 with reference to BOM,it is asking for GL account.
On booking this in Consumption of Raw material Account , it is showing error as " No direct posting to G/L account."
pls help.

First of all check whether the G/L account enterd is right one.
If it is right then go to FS00...enter the g/l account & company code....select the change icon....go to Create/Bank/interest tab...here check whether Post automatically only is checked or not

Materialo slip no not updating when creating the transfer posting(MB1B 313)

Hi all
I have a problem in updating material slip no when creating the transfer posting(MB1B 313).
when creating the MB1B if i put the mat slip no manually then system updating in the material doc.
But when system creating the transfer posting(through auto Jobs) the material slip no not updating in the material doc.
this is started to happen only after i deleted the condition records(ZDRL) for printing the doc for a relavent storage location.Kidly let me know is there any relation between ZDRL and the material slip updating.

Pl ensure that there is any release strategy, or in the transfer posting enter the plant and m.type also storage location in the application tool bar click with reference to PO, and enter the po number and try to proceed. it will work.

Hi,
You can create Reservation by using T.code MB21.
You have to enter plant, Movement type for reservation.
With this component, you make a request to the warehouse to keep materials ready for withdrawal at a later date and for a certain purpose. This simplifies and accelerates the goods receipt process.
A reservation for goods issue can be requested by various departments for various account assignment objects (such as cost center, order, asset, etc.)

Stock trasfer reservation with movement type 311

Dear APO Experts,
I have plant 1200 and storage location MRP area CA_03 within plant 1200.
When planning, STRs are created and if ciffed to ERP, reservation with movement type 301 is shown.
My question is as follows.
Is it possible to create these reservations in APO with the movement type 311 (sloc to sloc) instead of the movement type 301 (plant to plant).

To the best of my knowledge it may not work as you are expecting. The basis reason seems to be that SLOC is not treated as SLOC in APO when it is defined as MRP Area. MRP area (SLOC) is treated as Plant (Location) in APO. Hence movement type will be 301 plant to plant & not 311 sloc to sloc

PM reservation with required GL account

Dear all,
I have problem with setting of component in PM. We have some materials in MM with no default GL account, because user have to fill the account while making reservation and good issue in usual MM transactions
Setting of tthe materials effects the reservation in PM Component, since the reservation will generate automatically if we input material in Component in PM.
Because of setting in materials with no default GL account, so when we create reservation automatically, the system cannot deliver the GL in the reservation. So when we try to good issue according to the reservation, system deliver an error because missing GL account.and GI cannot be delivered.
Can you help me, if there any possible ways to make the reservation with GL account required to be fiiled in PM module during we input material component in maintenance order ?

I can create a reservation with it, but I need to fill 3 fields:
RESB-KNTTP, RESB-SOBKZ, RESB-PSPEL - but I can't pass them.

Availability Check
There are two types of availability check:
_ Availability check for the various stock types in Inventory Management
_ Check for the available stocks in Materials Planning (MRP)
Availability check of the stock types is carried out automatically and cannot be manually set in the
system. Non-availability results in an error message.
The available stocks check in MRP is activated in the material master record and can be
configured in Customizing for MRP (refer to Net Requirements Calculation [Ext.]).
Your system administrator can define:
_ Whether an availability check is to be carried out
_ Whether non-availability is to result in a warning message or an error message
In Customizing for Inventory Management, you can configure the dynamic availability
check for goods movements. In the step Define Checking Rule, you determine for
each checking rule which stocks, receipts, and issues should be included in the
availability overview (transaction code CO09).
Remember that the system does not update the consumption statistics in the material master
record if you post goods movements using the special stock types Sales order stock and Project
stock.
Checking Availability of Stock Types
For every material movement, the system automatically performs an availability check of the
stock types if this has been defined for a material. The availability check prevents the book
inventory balance of the various physical stock types (for example, unrestricted-use stock) from
becoming negative.
If several withdrawals of material are entered in a single document (for example, for different
account assignments), the system checks the availability of the material for each item entered. It
checks whether the desired quantity can be withdrawn. The system takes into account those
items of the document that have already been entered, but not yet posted.
If there is not enough stock to cover the withdrawal, the system issues an error message.
The availability check includes the stock in question at plant, storage-location, and special-stocks
level, for the current month and, if necessary, for the previous month. Different stocks are
checked, depending on the movement type:
_ In the case of a withdrawal for consumption, unrestricted-use stock is checked.
_ In the case of a release from stock in quality inspection, quality inspection stock is
checked.
_ In the case of consumption of consignment material, consignment stock for unrestricted
use is checked.
Checking Available Stocks
In addition to checking the various types of physical stock, you can also check available stock
from a Materials Planning perspective. With this type of availability check, you can, for example,
prevent a quantity already reserved from being used for another purpose.
There are 100 pieces of a material in unrestricted-use stock. 70 pieces of these 100
have been reserved for a particular requirement date.
You want to withdraw 50 pieces for a different purpose. If the availability check is
active, depending on how the system is set, you will receive:
_ A warning message
_ An error message
_ No message
