Create 3D objects in a pdf file

Hello,
I have a question about creating a 3D object in pdf files. I found out that you can use Adobe acrobat prof extended to create these files but I have a mac book pro and it doens't support the program as far as i can see it. Is this right? And is there another way to create 3D pdf files on my computer?

I’m using version 11.0.10. So where the Menu resides in a folder ready to be burnt on to a CD, that same folder is where the links point to.

Create SOFM object instance from PDF

I am using 4.6 version of SAP where FM 'sap_wapi_attachment_add' is does not exit. My query is to create an attachment (SMARTFORM coverted in PDF) in ABAP progam which i have to send as attachment with a Decision Task in the workflow.
I am able to send attachment with mail but to send attachment with decision task i need to create an instance of SOFM object. Please suggest an alternative method to do so instead of FM 'sap_wapi_attachment_add' .

It is no problem to create a link. But the formats are limited and - unbelievable - the pdf format is not supported??!
Where are the parameter (_blank or _self) to show it for example in the same webpage or in a new tab??!

PDF is media. It is not a web document. Your end users must have plug-ins and helper apps installed on their device to see PDFs in browsers. Depending on their settings, the PDF file may or may not launch in the browser window. On my system, PDF files download and launch inside Acrobat Professional; not my browser.
The safest approach is to provide a screenshot on your page with a direct link to the PDF file so people can handle it as they wish. See example: http://www.adobe.com/manufacturing/3dpdfsamples/3dsolutions/

I would like to publish my wife's recipes on our website, hoping she can then have access from the iPhone. I have about a 100 and really don't want to use iWeb to create 100 hyperlinks to a file, especially since she is continuously adding recipes.

Launch Script Editor, it can be found in /Application/AppleScript/ folder, copy& paste the script, I added comments above each line. You can run the script from Script Editor or save it as an application (File menu --> Save as..). Run the script, it'll do the following:
1) prompt you to locate the folder which contains the PDFs
2) make 'My Recipes.html' file in the same folder, that way you can upload the whole folder to you host.
Be sure you *do not* have any file with the name 'My Recipes.html'.
*If you're unsure of anything post back or make back up your important stuff (aka everthing you home folder).*
Now, the script generates a very raw page with a list of PDF files and links to them.
But potentially, AppleScript can generate html page with different catagories... such as: vegan, veggies or carnivore dishes... or French, Thai or Indonesian dishes... etc, etc... great for searching!
But, you need to add those key words in the PDF file's Spotlight Comments (in Finder select an item, then hit command+i, you'll see comments field at the top on info pane).
Spotlight Comments is meta data for Finder to find things (data base indexing).
Lastly, you can automate all these by using AppleScript's Folder Action

No, I'm not trying to deserialise a serialised object. My intent is to create a serialisable object from a binary file and then store this object in a JMS Queue.
One option is to create a byte array of the binary file. Wondering if there are other options available.

Input Objects relationship to PDF files size

Create large number of 3D PDF files

I have about 50000 step files that I would like to convert into 3D PDF files. Is there any good way to do this? We move about 2000 of them into a temp directory, then tried using Adobe 3D using Batch processing. First we tried selecting the files and found that there is a limit to the number of files that can be selected (we selected all of the files, however it gave an error that a file did not exist, and the error name displayed was part of a file name. It looks like the file selection dialog appends the file names into a string, and the maxium string length is too short for 2000 names). We also tried using a batch sequence which specified the directory. This ran for about an hour then died, with about 1/2 of the files converted. So based on these tests it looks like I will have to manually move the files into sub directories of about 500 files each, then batch process each directory (should be a fun couple of weeks). Has anyone else found a better way to do this?

Do I have full permission? What is the user ID that XI uses? The files are placed in the XI server so this should not be a problem, I think.
I also have "Process Read-only Files" turned on.
The files are coming from the same exact source so if this was the problem I would expect this to happen with every single file.
Yes, I'm doing CC, but nothing fancy, all the lines have the same structure and they are just moved to an identical XML structure.
In RWB I only see the "successful" messages for whatever actually got picked up, no errors.
This morning 2 of the 252 files got picked up. However at the same time 325 files of another interface did get picked up and succesfully processed.
I also changed this morning the file permissions on these 250 remaining files to rw-rw-rw- but still nothing happened (it used to be rw-rw-r--)
I'm still in the dark...

Creating EPub for iBooks with PDF FIles

I have a pdf file of a magazine that I print every month and am looking at the best way of getting it into iBooks and ultimately the iTunes store for others to download and view on iPads. I've tried a few things, but seem to be hitting a brick wall every time...
The pdf files are around 50 pages each, in A4 format. I have tried using iBooks author but their format is different to this and I can't seem to get my A4 page size in there. I realise now that IBA is more for digital publication and their layout differs from that of print. But is there any way I can do this?
I have also been trying to use Pages to output my ePub file, which works to an extent. I drag and drop my individual pdf pages into a new Pages word processing document, make sure thay are in-line and resize them to fit the page, which is A4.
I tried this with the first few pages, exported as ePub and imported via dropbox to my iPad 3. It shows up in my iBooks library, opens up and I can see my pdf pages, but they are a lot smaller than the ipad screen, and I cannot navigate around the page by pinching and zooming. When I try this, it selects the page "image" and highlights it in blue with the "copy, select, highlight" dialogue.
I have tried making the Pages document A3 size, resizing the pdfs in it to those dimensions and exporting the same, but in iBooks they are always a good third smaller than the size of the screen.
So is there any way I can get my A4 pdf files together as an iBook/ePub file that I can read in iBooks full screen?

When converting PDFs results can be mixed.
