Create a Book Map issue
I have been using create a book for a few weeks with maps working perfectly with place names and arrows. Now I get the below. Maps don't display properly in the book or when previewing. They work fine in Places, i have cleared cookies, deleted my preferences file and nothing has remedied the problem....please help!
Try this: make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - launch iPhoto and try the map page again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
NOTE 2: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
If that doesn't help launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and check to see if the same problem persists. If the map page works there then the problem is limited to your current library. Let us know what you find.

Creating photo book, having issues
I have been using iPhoto for a few years now and have not encountered this issue. I followed the steps in the iPhoto Help for creating a book.
1. Selected the albums
2. Clicked add then Book
3. Typed a name for the book
4. Chose cover type
5. Selected design
6. Clicked Choose
When Choose is clicked nothing happens. I searched previous posts and decided to reinstall iPhoto. I deleted the app, the plist and the pkg files from the HD/Library/Receipts folder inserted my replacement iLife '08 CD I received from Apple and began the install. Now that all that is finished I'm having the same issue. Does anyone else have any ideas? When I initially purchased this system, Tiger was the original OS. I had to replace the hard drive and to make a long story short, iLife was missing from my system and I called Apple Care. They sent me a replacement CD. I don't know if inserting the original install disks would make a difference or not but I don't want to mess anything up. I'm trying this forum since it's hard to be on the phone during U.S. business hours when you have a toddler. Thanks so much for your time.
As a side note, why is it when iPhoto is reinstalled it corrupts iTunes? Makes resolving an issue take that much longer.I followed your instructions and below are the errors that occurred.

I deleted the iTunes app and reinstalled it and it's fine now. I was just curious as to why that's happened twice now. The hard drive is a 750GB, it's partitioned with Windows on the partition and on the Mac HD there's 573.6 GB free. With the partition, it says there's 666.9GB capacity. Sorry if I sound frustrated, I've had many issues with this machine in the last 6 months. -
Can not view slidshows or creat a book on Snapfish. SF IT folks say it's a security issue on my end. Any ideas?
You will need to contact Snapfish to find out their system requirements and which plugin you need

my mac book air has a virus which is creating a lot of issues...how do i get rid of it? is there a free software to detect it and remove it?
There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
You may have installed one or more of the common types of ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it. It's been reported that some variants of the "VSearch" malware block access to the page. If that happens, start in safe mode by holding down the shift key at the startup chime, then try again.
Back up all data before making any changes.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, ask for further instructions.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. It may have come from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad would probably have included a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If you ever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
Malware is also found on websites that traffic in pirated content such as video. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow. Never install any software that you downloaded from a bittorrent, or that was downloaded by someone else from an unknown source.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later)
or
Download updates automatically (OS X 10.9 or earlier)
if it's not already checked. -
FM8 + DITA: Cannot create a book from a map.
Hello,
I want to create a book from a map with the standard FM function.
1. Do I reference .xml topics? I read something about .fm.xml topics? How can I get this file format?
I reference topics in the file format xml. If that is not right please ignore my other questions.
2. I can create a document from my map without any problems. When I create a book from the map I get the following
xml read report log that I do not understand:
a) Cannot insert a marker in the book.
b) Ignore the text that was encountered in a book.
c) Cannot insert the FM element (ul) in the specified location in the book.
With kind regards
NinaHi Nina...
You just need to run the "Build FM DITA Book from DITA Map File" command. At the first prompt (select file dialog) select the ditamap you want to convert, then the second prompt (select file dialog) specify the name of the new book to create.
If you get errors, choose "OK" to each prompt.
Based on the errors you're getting it sounds like ..
a) you've got an unstructured FM marker in one of the files (that shouldn't prevent the book from being created)
b) you've got some text in an invalid location (also shouldn't prevent the book from being created .. but might)
c) you've got a
element in an invalid location (might prevent the book from being created)
Be sure to validate (Element > Validate) all of your files before trying to build a book.

Keep getting an error message that reads, "LR An error has occurred while creating the book on Blurb" An error has occurred while trying to create texts and fonts. Pleas advise as Blurb has said that it's a LR issue.
Are you behind a firewall or double NAT??
What is the device that is immediately plugged into the main modem or router? Has that one been able to update?
It is plugged in of course isn't it.. no nasty join wireless anywhere??
The best way to work around these sort of problems is to simplify the network.. Plug each device directly into the main router.. by ethernet. You can trigger the firmware upgrade by wireless but use ipad or iphone version of airport utility and see what happens. -
External context mapping issue: cannot create nodes,no mapping defined yet
Hello everybody,
I'm trying to use the external context mapping as it is explained in http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/d7/e551cf896c3a49bb87bb4ce38c99c8/frameset.htm
I did it in the past without any problem, but now, when i try to create a new node, i get the error "cannot create nodes,no mapping defined yet." This error appears as i try to create an element of the node (in the Internal Component), this way:
IPruebaNodoElement elto = wdContext.nodePruebaNodo().createPruebaNodoElement();
elto.setPrueba("Esto es una prueba");
wdContext.nodePruebaNodo().addElement(elto);
The mapping is correctly done in the "Embedder Component", and the attribute "isInputElement"=true in the Interface Controller of the "Internal Component".
Any idea, any clue?
Thank you very much in advance
Isidro LópezFrankly speaking: I just read again, but very carefully, all the steps explained at
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/d7/e551cf896c3a49bb87bb4ce38c99c8/frameset.htm.
Read it carefully and try to implement that example, that could be really helpful. -
Creating a sample mapping - facing the following issues
Hi,
I am trying to create a sample mapping, just one source and one target. I did teh following steps
1) Created a new folder under Projects
2) Created a new interface under first folder
3) In Mapping pulled one source table and pulled another table for target
4) When trying to save I get 2 critical errors, NO LKM selected, NO IKM selected errors. Where would I define these and how to bring it into the mapping?
5) I also got 2 warnings - Mapping should be enabled, Mapping text should not be empty
Thanks for your time and help.#4 - Import the LKM and IKM you plan to use into the project Knowledge Modules. Then, in the Interface, select the Flow tab and choose the LKM and IKM.
#5 - You need to map your source columns to the target columns after you have added your source and target datastores.
Take a look at the documentation posted by Oracle. There are many good Oracle By Example tutorials to get you started.

After creating a book in iPhoto, iPhoto crashes upon opening now
I recently started creating a book within iPhoto. After a few days of working on it, iPhoto crashed. Now overtime that I open iPhoto it crashes before anything can load. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do? I would love to be able to recover the work that I had done on that book. Here's the error report.

0x123400000000 - 0x123400497fff com.apple.dSorry for stealing your thread Rymo53. I'll move my questions to a different thread as I am certain it has to do with a specific style of map used in Iphoto - as my Iphoto consistently crashes when I apply this map in any photo book. Now I can't access the photo book with the corrupt map without Iphoto crashing. Everything else in Iphoto is working fine.
Thanks for the response LarryHN, but I have learned that other users have the same issues with maps in Iphoto. I do back up my Mac regularly - but for the past 3 days where I have worked on the photo book, I didn't back up, so it is only the photo book that wasn't captured by my back up. -
ILife 11 (iphoto 11) installed over a year ago with no issues. Have been creating Apple Books with no issues till now. iPhoto now will not create books, calenders or anything else. After I select "create" it does nothing. Used to work Ok. Program seems to stall and do nothing. I can still look at events and other picture files but it will now not create a "project" / "book" Anyone with a similar issue????

EA4500 – Smart Wi-Fi interface and Windows Network Map issues
I purchased this Router about 2 weeks ago as a phased upgrade of our Home Network, primarily to enhance media streaming. It has the latest firmware preinstalled from the factory. Prior to the purchase and installation of the EA4500 Router I replaced my old Motorola SurfBoard SB6120 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem with a Motorola SurfBoard SB6141 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem. My old Linksys E2000 Router worked perfectly with the SB6141, with the exception that the E2000 wasn’t IPv6 enabled, but does have 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet (RJ-45) and Internet ports.
The EA4500 has been installed for about 10 days and seems to have improved local network speeds and I don’t seem to be having any Internet connectivity issues. However, there are some disturbing issues with the EA4500 and the AE3000 I purchased. There are 11 devices connected through the Router; a Dell Desktop (wireless with the AE3000), a Dell Desktop (Ethernet), a Dell Laptop (wireless), 2 Canon Printers (1 Ethernet and 1 Wireless), 2 Western Digital 1TB MyBookLive Network Drives (both Ethernet), a WD TV Live Streaming Media Player (wireless), an Apple TV media player (wireless), an iPad (wireless), and an Android Smartphone (wireless).
Issue 1 – The Linksys Smart Wi-Fi interface appears to be unreliable at times!!! I’ve read about this problem here on the Community involving the EA6500, so I don’t know if this is a Linksys Server issue, as suggested in a few responses, or a bug in the Router firmware, or defective hardware. However, when the interface locks up, it can’t be accessed from a wireless or wired connection. Usually, powering down the Router and then powering it back up and restart will allow it to function again. However, at times before the interface completely locks up it shows either just a white screen or the security screen will show no firewall features enabled. This is a little scary, so I’ll do a complete reset and setup; this is becoming a pain in the rear!!!!! Is there any hope for this being fixed, in this Router, not the next generation??????????
Issue 2 - All of my network devices show up in the Router’s Device List. Except for the Apple devices they also show up, when they are online, in Windows 7 Explorer under Network and when you click on Network they are correctly displayed as Computers, Media Devices, Network Infrastructure, or Storage. However, when you click on “Open Network and Sharing Center” and then click on “See Full Map”; it fails with the response “Windows cannot create the network map. Responses from other devices on the network are delayed or there is an incompatible router on the network”; no device map is shown. When I follow the link for more information, the only thing that stands out is “A device on the network, such as a hub or switch, is not working properly or is not compatible with the Link Layer Topology Discovery (LLTD) protocol, which Windows uses to create the map. To fix this problem, disable the device, turn it off, or remove it from your network”. All of my network devices showed up on the Network Map with the old E2000. This issue is the same on all of my computers, either wired or wireless. Any known solutions for this, or is it as Windows suggests; an incompatible Router????
Thanks in advance for any insight or solutions. With the issues I’m having with the EA4500 and the AE3000; they are both probably going back to Amazon.thebluemamba_24; Thank you for your suggestion; I finally found time yesterday to perform an extensive evaluation before I return the Router. However, rather than trying to add devices manually, my rationale was if the EA4500 can’t process them correctly, automatically, it needs to be returned anyway, so I added devices normally letting the device an Router handle the process.
In thinking through this issue, all devices on our network are detected and identified by Windows Explorer on Windows 7 computers; except of course the Apple and Android devices (Apple TV, iPad, and Smartphone). So, I wondered if one of those three devices being added to the Router’s device list was somehow causing issues or interfering with Windows 7’s ability to generate a Network Map. Therefore, my approach was to turn off or disable all devices on our network, reset the Router to factory defaults, reestablish the Router to my custom Home Network configuration using a Windows 7 PC that has LAN and Wireless access to the Router, then add one device at a time and check with each addition to see if Windows 7 could still generate a Network Map.
With the Router reset and reestablishment complete; I began the process of adding one device at a time and checking to see if a Network Map was being generated. What I discovered was when a recent addition to the network, a Western Digital WD TV Live Streaming Media Player, was connected (wirelessly), Windows 7 could no longer generate the Network Map and the failure was consistent. The only way to get the Network Map to work again was to remove power from the WD TV Live, although it remained in the EA4500’s Device List; simply turning it off didn’t help. Since I’d originally witnessed the Windows 7 Network Map working with the Linksys E2000 Router that the EA4500 replaced, I decided to test the WD TV Live with that Router. It worked initially, but it failed consistently after the first success. Interestingly, the failure indication was a little different, but nevertheless generation of the Network Map failed.
I’ve tried changing a few settings on the EA4500 as well as the WD TV Live, but nothing helped. There was a recent firmware update to the WD TV Live, so I might try rolling back the firmware to see if it makes a difference.
The Network Map issue might very well be an issue with the WD TV Live, not the Router, but after reading many threads on this Community I have reservations that the problems I’m experiencing with the Smart interface lockup will be fixed. I suspect new emerging replacement products will be the focus and these older products will be abandoned and no more firmware fixes will be forthcoming and I don’t want to spend more money for a new product just to fix old problems and get something that works properly. The Network Map issue is troublesome, but the lockup of the Router’s “Linksys Smart Wi-Fi” interface is a serious matter to me. It appears that once it locks up, the only way to correct it is a power off restart; not practical if you’re traveling and trying to access settings remotely; the selling point for this feature.
Given the problems I’m experiencing with the EA4500 and AE3000, I guess I’ll return them. Too bad, because otherwise the EA4500 seems like it’s a good Router. I’ve been brand loyal since the Linksys WRT54G came out, but after reading this Community and with my personal experience with the EA4500 and AE3000, now I’ll probably give the NETGEAR N900 equivalents a try. -
Is there a way to create a site map of all RoboHelp topics in a published project?
My company uses an external search of our published RoboHelp options (as well as the internal; the external search covers all projects instead of a single one). We're looking to change search programs, but according to our web developer a lot of searches have issues finding the topics inside the published projects because of the way it links to topics using Javascript.
I think I know the answer to this question, considering it hasn't come up in any of my searches, but in case I need a second cup of coffee -- is there a site map or listing of links within a RoboHelp project that includes all the topics? Alternately, does anyone know of a service or program that can easily create a site map from a RH project? For reference, we're using RoboHelp 9.
Thanks!Look in Tools > Reports.
Some can be saved as files. Others you can copy and paste into a text file.

Hello Guru's
I have 2 issues, and i am unable to understand the system logic for the same
Issue 1:-
We have an Intercomapny scenario
sequence of transaction is as follows
1. Create Return purchase order (document type NB) - Intercompany purchase
2. Post return goods receipts - movement type 161
3. Post credit memo with respect to return purchase order
4. Cancel the movement type 161 - using 161 movement type
System allows me to cancel the document created using 161 movement type
Step 4 should not be allowed but system is allowing me to do so, please advise how to stop this
Issue 2:-
I have a strange MAP issues which is flactuating very drastically
the scenario is as follows
Store stock is 10 ea, stock value is 1000, MAP is 100
DC map is 25
When we make return STO from store to DC, ths stocks are issued at DC MAP (condition type P101)
Assume we issue 9 quantity from Store then
Store stock is 9 ea, stock value is (1000-(25*9)) = 775, MAP is 775/1 = 775
This transaction is causing major flactuation in store MAP (100 changed to 775)
Please advise if there is any way we can control this behaviour
I understand that there is a setting which will in case of major MAP changes will put the amount into PRD account.
Appreciate if you can guide me to help
Regards
AmitHi,
For your first scenario,
for a retun po of IC NB type, after creating the PO you need to deliver the same at VL10G. For the delivery system will allow to create the PGR . Prior to these steps you need to return the goods using 161 at MIGO.Please check this 161 stock posted to stock in transit. After PGR system will clear the stock in transit.
Now after claring the stock from transit try cancelling the MIGO 161 document.
For the second query,
Please review your question' When we make return STO from store to DC, ths stocks are issued at DC MAP (condition type P101)
Assume we issue 9 quantity from Store then
Store stock is 9 ea, stock value is (1000-(25*9)) = 775, MAP is 775/1 = 775
This transaction is causing major flactuation in store MAP (100 changed to 775),
Please review the third line.

Hi,
I just added a new group within my MAC (10.4.10) Address Book (4.0.5)
and when trying to sync it with my iPhone (1.0.2) , iTunes (7.3.2) always
shows only the old groups - not the new one.
Here is what I did so far to try to make it work:
- Reset Sync History in iSync
- Deleted all the groups in Address Book and created new ones (different names)
- Power-off iPhone and MAC and rebooted both
- Plug-in iPhone, but iTunes still got the 'old' groups
Any idea how to fix this issue - meaning 're-initialize' iTunes on what to sync?
Rather than doing a factory reset of my iPhone just to see that iTunes still does
not check my Address book for changes etc. I thought I give this forum a try.
Not sure if I screwed anything up when I removed all the files in my ~/Library/
Application Support/SyncServices/Local/clientdata/... folders that contained a
clientname.txt file with "Markspace" in it to finally clean up my "Missing Sync"
removal.
Thanks in advance for any help!
JoergOK,
just got back after talking to a 'guru' ay my local Apple store.
He also 'factory reset' my iPhone and it then perfectly synced with his
AddressBook, so we know the phone is fine - what a surprise
His assumption was that I have a corrupted AddressBook preference
file and recommended to erase it, reboot my system and everything
should be OK.
Well, it isn't. I did what he told me and also used the DiskRepair Utility
to fix my disk permissions (that had 'ton's of errors with something
Address Book related issues, but still no solution. The thing just will
not sync. As soon as I plug in my iPhone, iTunes shows my old Contact
groups that I removed yesterday.
Anybody any idea???? I am thinking about completely removing my
Address Book , but how do I re-install it from the original CD without
having to do a complete system re-install?
Thanks for any help! -
I'm creating a book format in Pages. I want the page count to be 1 on the first page of chapter one after the title page, table of contents, etc.. How do I do that?
That is not the issue.
Pages/OSX does not save files with crop marks and bleeds.
It also by default saves transparency, which is involved in a lot of Pages' better features, at a rubbishy 72 dpi resolution.
It also makes it extremely difficult to maintain mono-color like black only text, has no spot color and makes color management opaque.
It really is only meant for amateur publishing and printing to your desktop printer.
A commercial printer who is willing to use and print from Pages may have better results but at the cost of considerable micro-management which defeats the point of this "cheap" solution.
