Create a case to archive mails

I configured my mail account on my Blackberry but I do not find where go to create new cases to archive my mails. Even having consulted the documentation of the telephone, this one indicates me a procedure :
On the welcome screen, click the icon Messages.
Support on the sideline > Post(Show) the file(case).
Highlight a file case.
Support on the sideline.
To add a case, click to Add a case.
To move a case, click to Move thecase. Click the new location.
To rename a case, click to Rename the case.
To delete a case, click to Delete the case.
The problem is that when I click on the sideline menu, I have no option to create a case.
I am under os 7.1, bb torch 9810.
Sorry for my language, i'm french and don't speak english very well (I used a traductor).
Thank's for your answer.

I understand the language barrier can be a problem, so I'll assume when you say Case you mean Folder.
If you are using your phone with BIS (Blackberry Internet Service) you cannot create sub folders to place messages in - this is only possible via BES (Blackberry Enterprise Server), BESx (Blackberry Server Express) or with Google Mail via BIS.

  • How can I "archive" mails in Mail App to another internal drive/partition to save space but still have it searchable in spotlight (and preferably visible, searchable, draggable in Mail App)?

How can I "archive" mails in Mail App to another internal drive/partition to save space but still have it searchable in spotlight (and preferably visible, searchable, draggable in Mail App)?
    Background:
I am using Mountain Lion and Mail App and running out of space on my small primary SSD drive (where I keep OS, apps, key user preferences/data and mail for speed). The mail data is the big variable (many GBs) and I want to "archive"/move some of the old mail to my 2nd drive inside the Mac. But I still want it searchable inside spotlight and preferably even inside Mail too. And I'd like to be able to still drag and drop old mails into this archive folder.
What I've tried that seems to work:
    This seemed to work:
    1. Move the archive folder/mailbox to the 2nd drive/partition/folder (don't delete anything inside Mail App)
    2. Create a symbolic link from its new location to the original/old location
This seems to work, it looks as "normal" and as if nothing happened inside Mail App but the folder now resides elsewhere and seems searchable etc. But I'm not sure that once caches refresh or over time with updates etc if stuff will break horribly or corrupt.
Is that the right way to "archive" mails in Mail App to another internal drive/partition to save space but still have it searchable in spotlight and visible, searchable, draggable in Mail App?
    Thanks in advance!
    Cheers,
    Daniel

I'm having a similar but slightly different problem. My company just migrated to Gmail, and it's saving mail drafts every 30 seconds into my Trash folder.
I unchecked the "Show in IMAP" preference in the Gmail settings, but my Drafts folder completely disappeared. I went back and checked it and the folder reappeared (with my drafts still in there).
I like the idea if starting an email on my laptop and having the option of finishing it on my iPhone or iPad, so only saving Drafts locally would not be ideal.

  • Outlook 2013 Won't Display My Archived Mail PST Files

    Hi there,
I have recently upgraded to Outlook 2013 from 2010. I have archived mail in PST files going back many years. I managed to open the first one I tried (Outlook 2003 archive) but noticed it wouldn't display sent items on a common search. I then clicked on the
name bar to sort by name and it did do it. Later when I went back in it wouldn't display any sent items; it just has the "thinking" dots moving at the top. I left it for 3 hours but nothing. I then closed the archive and moved the PST file to my
C drive and tried again; nothing. I opened another PST file but still nothing shows.
Does anyone know what could be causing this? I'm thinking of going back to Outlook 2010 but would rather get 2013 to work properly.
    Regards
    Ross

    Hi Ross,
From the description, the problem is that the archive.pst file you created in Outlook 2003 doesn't display anything when opened in Outlook 2013, right? If I've misunderstood something, would you please provide a screenshot so that we can understand this
    issue more clearly?
What's the file size of the PST file? It may cause unexpected problem if the file size exceed the limit. See:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/982577
In addition, we can try to use the Inbox Repair Tool to scan and repair the PST file to check if it helps:
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-in/outlook-help/repair-outlook-data-files-pst-and-ost-HA102749454.aspx?CTT=1
Please let me know the result.

  • Can we archive mail and not have it synch to iPhone/

I use Mail and it synchs with my iPhone. I created a new folder in Mail and named it Archive but I discovered that this folder also synchs with the iPhone. What I want to do is create a folder to store old mail in but not have the old mail synch to my iPhone because I don't want to fill up my phone with the old mail and attachments. Is there a way to create a folder in Mail on my laptop that is blocked from synching with my iPhone?
    Thanks in advance.

Sorry, that's all a bit incoherent. Apple announced last summer that development on iPhoto and Aperture has ceased and it will be replaced with a new app later this year. Did you miss that? Not really sure what you were hoping for.
As for that whole iPhone/Mac problem you seem to be having, how are the two devices related. There are lots of ways to do that these days. PhotoStream? Have you opted for automatic import? Accurate questions get better answers.

  • TS4002 Can't create any alias in iCloud mail, see message "Cannot save alias.

Can't create any alias in iCloud mail, see message "Cannot save alias. This alias cannot be saved at this time". I tried different variations at different dates (I thought this is temporary issue) but this not helped me. Perhaps some of you have resolved this issue and can tell me how I can do it?

Do you see in account settings two email addresses - with "@me.com" and "@icloud.com"? Or only "@me.com"? In second case just wait - your account will be updated in some time. I've waiting from summer and my account was updated in one day as soon as I've start this discussion   When your account will be updated - you will see in preferences two addresses, with "@me.com" and with "@icloud.com".

  • Archive mail from Gmail

I have purchased a new mac and in setting up mail my gmail account is constantly fetching archive mail from the server.  25000 messages.  I have searched and searched but can't find a way to stop it or change my archive settings.  In the mean time because it's constantly looking for emails I have gone through my months worth of data in 2 days!  Any advice please?

Same here; right clicking and choosing "move to" is also an option, gives you more choiche.
Updating Apple products used to be without much problems, but since Mavericks it seems that every update create a new problem!

  • Sync archived Mails

    All,
I have 2 Macs and I would like them to be synced with most of my data. Synchronization should be possible public (as I travel a lot) and that's my "Time Machine lite".
At this stage I use a combination of iCLoud and Dropbox (partly with secret sync). Only problem I have is Mail.
My business account has quota, due this I need to archive mails. I created a Mailbox "On My Mac" by selecting => Mailbox => New Mailbox. This creates ~Library/Mail/V2/Mailboxes/$YOURMAILBOX_NAME.mbox.
Here comes the question: How can I move this mbox to my dropbox? Quitting Mail and moving the mbox to the dropbox folder and creating a softlink didn't do the whole trick. I end up with a "read only" Mailbox. I can see the content of the Mailbox, but I can't longer write to it.
Storing the archived Email to another Account is not a option for me. Storing the complete ~Library/Mail/ folder to dropbox either. Rsync stuff would be possible, but it's ugly as it has network requirements.
Is somebody out there with a solution using dropbox or iCloud?
Thanks for taking the time to read and maybe respond.

  • Permanently archiving mail

I have an iphone, imac, and Mac Book pro.
I sync all mail using mobile me.
I want to keep a permanent archive of every message sent and received.
I want this archive to be stored on the mac book pro.
What is the best way to set this up?

Perhaps I am missing something, but why are you trashing messages when you prefer they be archived? You are probably better off creating a folder for archiving, then putting your sent mail there along with any other messages you want to archive. On your Mac, if you use Apple's Mail, there is an "archive maibox" feature under the "mailbox" pull down menu.
Archiving mail also opens up a huge can of worms from a technical standpoint and a legal standpoint. You can find lots of information on this subject by doing a google search. If you are interested in archiving email related to your work, you should probably talk with your employer to find out what, if any, policies may govern email archiving in your organization.

  • Archiving Mail on Mountain Lion Server with MailSteward or Other?

Anyone here successfully archiving mail for multiple user accounts on Mountain Lion Server without spending a bunch of dough?
From poking around a bit I guess mail is in /Library/Server/Mail/Data, but I don't think MailSteward can pull from there, dovecot daemon stuff that is over my head.
Interested in solutions short of going to Kerio Connect, which looks to provide the archiving functionality I need (and maybe also lets users change their own passwords, which would also be nice).
    Thanks!

Eustace - Thanks for taking a crack at it!  I saw this same post as well but it doesn't answer my question about how to create and launch an Out of Office Reply for Apple Mail on the new Mountain Lion Server?
I'm not looking to create an out of office rule on my computer but on our Mountain Lion Server like we used to be able to do on Lion Server.

I've tried searching and have found different answers (mainly no), but I thought I would ask here before I throw in the towel.
I'm wanting to create different folders in my Mail account for Notes (not mailboxes, but just a few different Notes folders).  Any suggestions as to how to do this, or a good alternative.

  • How do I add an archive Mail folder

The help file on organizing mail tells me to go to the mailbox screen and hit Edit.  There is no edit button on that screen.  I want to add a folder to save or archive mail messages as a local file, not take up room on the server.

Tap the back arrow that saysMailboxes until there is no back arrow just a title saying Mailboxes. You should see two sections under it, one that says Inboxes and another one that says Accounts. Under the Accounts you should see a list of your mail accounts (if you have more than one), select the account you want to add the folder to and it will take you to the lists of folders for that account. Inbox, Drafts, Trash... At the top you will see the Edit button that will allow you to add a folder.

  • Is there any way, to create with Adobe Muse HTML-Mail Templates?

Is there any way, to create with Adobe Muse HTML-Mail Templates? or to convert the createt page to only html content? any other tool like an website copyer?
    tanks for help!

Off the top of my head, you should be able to create mail templates in muse BUT it will require  very basic html/css knowledge on your part. I am assuming you want to do just the signature?
Create the design you would like on one page, dont do any kind of styling in a master page. Then export the site into a folder. Open the html file with notepad/ textedit and then copy just the code for JUST the template. Throw it in you mail app of choice and it should work.
This seems like something that would be done alot quicker in dreamweaver in design view.
PLEASE NOTE: ^i could be completely wrong - but in theory this may work.

  • How to create a group of e-mail addresses

    Hi,
I need to create a group of recipients (mailing list) using a list of e-mail addresses. I guess I need to use the Address Book, but I could not find the correct way to copy/paste the entire block of addresses. The only way I found was to insert each address, one by one. This drives me crazy because I have to insert some dozens of addresses. Any suggestions? Thanks

This would be an ideal use of Address Book's File > Import...
    From Address Book's help:
    To import contacts:
Export addresses from another application in a supported format.
Before exporting tab-delimited or CSV files, you may want to note the order of the information fields. If the file doesn’t contain labels, you can refer to your notes to manually identify the fields in a later step.
If the application you’re exporting from supports it, export vCards that include multiple contacts to speed up importing. For example, in Outlook select all of your contacts and choose to forward them as vCards. Send the email message, which includes a vCard attachment for each selected contact, to yourself on your Mac computer. In Mail, save the vCard attachments, and then use Address Book to import them.
Verify the exported .txt or CSV files using a text editor such as TextEdit.
Make sure there are no line breaks within a contact’s information, which can cause the import to fail. Remove any line breaks you find.
Make sure that fields in a .txt or tab-delimited file are separated by a tab, and fields in a CSV file are separated by a comma, instead of by quotation marks or another character. Do not include spaces before or after tabs and commas.
Make sure all addresses have the same number of fields; add empty fields as needed.
In Address Book, choose File > Import, select the file you want to import, change the encoding if necessary, and then click Open.
If you’re importing a text file, review the field labels Address Book will use for the information. You can change field labels, or choose to ignore or not import fields.
If the first card contains headers, review the headers to make sure they are correctly labeled or marked as “Do not import,” and make changes as necessary. Any changes you make to this card are made in all of the cards in the file. To exclude the headers card from being imported, select the “Ignore first card” checkbox.
Use the arrows to browse information in the file to determine if fields need to be relabeled or not imported.
To change a label, click the arrows next to the label and choose a new label from the pop-up menu. If you don’t want to import a field, choose “Do not import.”
