Create a Collection that populate with machines that failed on a TS deployment.

Hi Everyone,
I would like to create a Device Collection containing all machines that failed on a TS deployment. Is there a way? What would be the WQL for this?
Thank you in advance.

You can do something like this:
http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/gramsey/archive/2006/10/20/How-To_3A00_-Create-a-Collection-Based-on-an-Advertisement-Status.aspx
Both classes SMS_R_System and SMS_ClientAdvertisementStatus
still exist in the same form and format.

  • Creating a collection of recently built systems

    Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone knows the query to use for identifying systems built within a certain time frame, such as the last hour / last 2 days etc. I would use the query to create a collection that would immediately install patches, instead of waiting for
    the next maintenance window.
I thought about using the whenCreated time stamp attribute on the computer object, however cannot find a way to use that in a query, and can also not figure out the WQL to do the datediff calculation that would be needed. Perhaps there is some other property
within SCCM that can be used as well.
    thanks and regards,
    -Ravi

I was able to do this using the below:
added the whenCreated attribute to the "Active Directory System Discovery" discovery method. had to do this using the "custom" option.
This query finds the systems which have a whenCreated date less than 12 hours old -
    select SMS_R_System.Name, SMS_R_System.whenCreated  from  SMS_R_System where DATEDIFF(hh,SMS_R_System.whenCreated,GetDate()) < 12
This link has information on the datediff functions and some other samples from which I was able to derive the above:

    Hello All,
we have created shared folder on multiple client machine in domain environment on different 2 OS like-XP,Vista, etc.
from some day's When we facing problem when we are access from host name that shared folder is accessible but same time same computer when we are trying to access the share folder with IP it asking for credentials i have type again and again
correct credential but unable to access that. If i re-share the folder then we are access it but when we are restarted the system then same problem is occurring.
I have checked IP,DNS,Gateway and more each & everything is well.
    Pls suggest us.

    Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that the same shared folder can be accessed by name, but can’t be accessed be IP address and asks for credentials.
Please try to enable the option below on the device which has shared folder:
Besides, check the Advanced Shring settings of shared folder and confrim that if there is any limitation settings.
    Best Regards,

  • Need help in creating a page that populates 3 related tables

    Hi All,
I am pretty new to Oracle and have been trying to use the wizards in HTML_DB to create one page that will populate three tables. I have thus far have NOT been able to find my solutions. I do not know enough experience in SQL/PL_SQL to create the code on my own.
Here is my dilemma. I have three tables:
con (for contacts) - with regular contact info = l_name, f_name, phone...
pro (for different programs) - with different program info = pro_name, priority..
procon (Contact/program) - that joins the two together with initial, follow-up and close date fields.
I created a composite primary key in the procon table that consists of the two pk's of the other two tables (using fk relationships).
I want to be able to use one page in HTML_DB to enter in the data which will populate all three tables. Is there a way to do this in PL/SQL?
    * Also: Is there a book out there that you can recommend that really teaches SQL/PL_SQL?
I would really, really, REALLY appreciate the help!!!!!
    Thanks,
    d.

This isn't as bad as you think. I would create one procedure in a package and pass the parameters to the package via htmldb
procedure insval(in_a in number, in_b in number, in_c in number)
      begin
       insert into tablea(cola)
        values(in_a);
      insert into tableb(colb)
       values(in_b);
      insert into tablec(colc)
       values(in_c);
end;and then you call it from htmldb using a process
schema.package.insval(:p1_a,:p1_b,:p1_c);That's ultra-simplified, but will get the job done.

  • Does anyone know the best way to create a form that you can do a mail merge with?

I have been asked to create a form that can be used to do a mail merge. At first I thought I could create it in indesign and then pdf the file and do form fields right in the pdf, but I'm not sure if you can do a mail merge with data in an excel file and a pdf file containing form fields.
The other option I know I could use is a Word file and excel, but I don't think the functionality is as good as in a pdf (like addition of percentages, or error messages, radio buttons, etc.). And I do need to be able to do a mail merge. Anybody have any suggestions?

There is not built-in feature for this, but it can be done with scripting. The problem is it can be a bit complicated, and it more complicated to decribe in much detail in a forum posting. It involves creating the base form and making the pages templates. You can export from Excel to a tab delimited text file. You can then either programmatically create a template-based FDF that when loaded into Acrobat populates the PDF form, creating as many individual forms as needed, or using JavaScript in Acrobat to read the data file and generate as many individual forms as needed. Both approaches involve a similar amount of programming, but they're quite different.
You might want to look into this product, which apparently is no longer available but may be come back soon: http://www.debenu.com/products/eol/arts-pdf-variform-lite/

  • Best way to create a collection for on-deman installs as required, but, that automatically removes clients after the install

SCCM 2007 SP2 R3.  We do "on-demand" installs by having collections setup targeted with advertisements for various products, say Adobe Acrobat Pro, and when we get a request, we manually drop the client into the collection and the install
    starts in a few minutes.
Problem is...some staff forget to remove the old clients from the collections.
Can a query be setup to automatically remove the client from the collection post-install, when the collection refreshes?  Problem we are seeing is that whether we use a query for HAVING or for NOT HAVING the product, it then brings in all the other
computers that don't have the product...
Any way to do this, or, we have to continue to manually remove post-install?
    Thanks!

Thanks, Jason...mostly just for neat and clean.
But, John also said we'd have to create an ADS Group to put them in, and use queries to bring those that need into the collection for installation, then remove them when the product shows in ARP.  Which is about the same as adding them into the collection
and then never removing (we'd have a group with computers in it).
I had thought there was some way to automatically remove things from manual collections, but...guess not.

I have the latest Creative Cloud versions of Lightroom and Lightroom Mobile on my Ipad. On my desktop I have created a collection which I have put in a custom order. On my Ipad I go into that collection and set the order to custom order, which I presume means the order I have on my desktop. However, the photos on the Ipad seem to be just random photos from the collection THEN the rest of the collection is in the correct order after that.

Do you have virtual copies in your collection?
Could you please send send me a LR Desktop +Mobile diagnostig log  - best as a private message with a downloadable dropbox link
You can trigger the Lr Desktop diagnostig log via LR Desktop preferences -> Lightroom Mobile and when you hold down the alt key you will notice a generate diagnostic log button.
The Lr Mobile app log can be triggered when you open up the settings and long press the to LR Icon a diagnostic log will be generated and attached to your local mail client. While opening the settings could you double check if you are signed-in?
    Thanks

  • How to create collection that lists objects without a specific EXE file

I'm attempting to write a query that will show machines that are a.) Windows XP and b.) lack a certain .EXE file. Since I can limit by an "All Windows XP Systems" collection, that be seems fairly mundane. But I can't get the query to work for the
    .EXE.
I've tried the following queries to no avail, where "MyFile.exe" is a placeholder name for the file. Again, I want to create a collection based on machines that DO NOT have this file:
    Query 1 attempt:
    select SMS_R_System.ResourceId, SMS_R_System.ResourceType, SMS_R_System.Name, SMS_R_System.SMSUniqueIdentifier, SMS_R_System.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup, SMS_R_System.Client from  SMS_R_System where SMS_R_System.ResourceId not in (select SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceType,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Name,SMS_R_SYSTEM.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Client
    from SMS_R_System inner join SMS_G_System_SoftwareFile on SMS_G_System_SoftwareFile.ResourceId = SMS_R_System.ResourceId where SMS_G_System_SoftwareFile.FileName like "MyFile.exe")
    Query 2 attempt:
    select * from SMS_R_System where SMS_R_System.ResourceID not in (select SMS_R_System.ResourceID from SMS_R_System inner join SMS_G_System_SoftwareFile on SMS_G_System_SoftwareFile.ResourceID = SMS_R_System.ResourceID where SMS_G_System_SoftwareFile.FileName
    = "MyFile.exe" and SMS_G_System_SoftwareFile.FilePath like "%\\Program Files\\Folder\\Subfolder\\%")
While I receive no errors when creating these queries, they don't return any results either. The collection remains empty. Updating collection membership and/or refreshing does not help.
    -Nick O.

In you first query you can only have 1 column listed in your subselect, used ResourceID.

My macbook pro has a virus/trojan that is resetting the EFI via apci and it is getting root access privileges. It seems to be creating multiple aliases that bundle with rogue apps and preferences so it is very difficult to control or fix. Please help..It all stems from the "about donwloads" PDF which kicks off the restructuring of the OS..

Well given the fact that it is not just myself who is infected and also that this is my 3rd macbook in 1 year because the other 2 efi's were compromised to the point where they were unusable, and also that I must've been to the mac store no less than 100 times in a year for these issues, I beg to differ. Here is what I can show you. This has been ongoing for over a year now.
I will try and show you as much as I can.
    1) Here is what I see when I run mount from terminal:
/dev/disk0s2 on / (hfs, local, journaled)
devfs on /dev (devfs, local, nobrowse)
map -hosts on /net (autofs, nosuid, automounted, nobrowse)
map auto_home on /home (autofs, automounted, nobrowse)
    localhost:/4zOta2Q9FMiMnRjTROIbhU on /Volumes/MobileBackups (mtmfs, nosuid, read-only, nobrowse)
Why on earth is /Volumes/MobildBackups my localhost is beyond me. I don't use iCloud and Mobile me is obsolete.
    2) Here is what I show when I run ls -al /*/*/*/*.efi from root
    -rw-r--r--  1 root  wheel  994464 May  1 00:33 /System/Library/CoreServices/boot.efi
    -rw-r--r--  1 root  wheel  994464 Oct  2  2012 /usr/standalone/i386/boot.efi
    -rwxr-xr-x  1 root  wheel  115716 Dec 13 14:08 /usr/standalone/i386/tmbootpicker.efi
As far as I know my boot.efi should not change everytime I boot my machine.
    3) Here is something very interesting. When I run cd /dev followed by ls -al look what I have;

How Do i create a list that will show in a dropdown box with the list being pulled from another tab and not the cell data format junk?
    I currently run OS X 10.10.1
Now i have been trying to work on this for a while now and what i want to do should be simple but its apparently not.
Here is an example of what i want to happen.
I will have 2 tabs: Contact | Sales
Now Contacts will have the list of names and various information about a customer, While Sales will have one drop-down box for each Cell Row that will show the names of the person in tab contacts
for what i am wanting to do i cant use the data format pop-up menu because the list is edited everyday several times a day.
Now how do i do this, Excel can do this so how can numbers do it?

    Hi Shegra,
Paste this into a applescript editor window and run it from there. In the script you may need to adjust the four properties to agree with your spreadsheet. Let me know if you have any questions.
    quinn
    Script starts:
-- This script converts column A in one table into an alphabetized list of popups. It copies the last cell in that column. Then reverts the column to text. It then refreshes popups in column A of a data table starting with a user defined row.
property DataEntrySheet : "Sheet 1" --name of sheet with popups to be refreshed
property DataEntryTable : "Sales" --name of table with popups to be refreshed

I would like to know how i can create a bell graph with out using sub VIs, the data that i created consists in 500 readings with values of 0 to 100, i calculated the mean value and standard diviation. I hope some one can help me

Here's a quick example I threw together that generates a sort-of-bell-curve shaped data distribution, then performs the binning and plotting.

    Dear Experts,
I have created a quotation in CRM system. I want that to be downloaded into ECC, so that, I can create a sales order there with reference to that quotation. What are the parameters that I need to set in CRM system so that my quotation gets replicated without any error?
Please help me in this regard. An early and in detail step by step guidance is highly appreciated.
    Thanks,

It may be best to recreate the folder and the smart playlists from scratch.

i want to create an external video widget with iAd to use in an iBook. I followed the steps and copied the Url and paste it in the Video pop-up menu in the Properties section of the inspector. When i select 'preview' the video doesn't play and the Url that i pasted is gone.
    hope someone can help!

May have something to do with whether or not the URL can be reached while building your widget.  I've got a video on the web. When I enter the URL into the field for the video object and click to another field,  the URL is replaced with some text indicating that it is accessing the video then updates itself to displaying just the name of the video file.
It shows just fine in preview and I can see the full path to the video when I export the widget so it should work for you.
Is the video accessible from your Mac while you're laying out your widget?

  • TS4498 Is music created in logic pro compatible with the logic pro x ? for instance if you have created something in logic pro and wont to add or tweak it a bit is that possible?

Is music created in logic pro compatible with the logic pro x ? for instance if you have created something in logic pro and want to add or tweak it, is that possible? I suppose you would need the original logic folder?

Yes it is more or less compatible, except the use of 32 bit plugins, which is prohibited from now on. So although you're able to open Logic projects as far as down to v5 I believe, it is advisable to remain for 'adding and tweaking' in your pre LPX environment.
    Have a nice day!

George - Thanks you so much!  Actually, i'd love for the text color to be red font color.  Could you send me the script for that? And I assume I just copy and paste the script into the field properties (see screenshot)?
    thanks again!
