I also seek help for the dashboards, no doubt its matter of practise but like we are facing the problems where we have to map our query structure with Excel sheet.
like I'm facing a problem where my Query accepts two parameters in SAP B1.
In Xcelsius I mapped almost everything and these two parameters are accumulated by 2 combo's but when I make a XML data connection and use trigger cell option , it just takes one combo into consideration.
Expected result is : If I change the value in any of the combo then it shud reflect results accrodingly
Actual result : if I change the value of 2nd combo it doesn't reflect the changes until I select the value from first combo again.
Any inputs will be really very much appreciated.

Multiple Dashboard for single user

I want to create different dashboards for different users. Do I have to login as these different users & create the dashboards or is there a better way?

No. You can create the dashboards as Administrator or any login that has privileges to create dashboards. It is when you deploy the dashboards that you can either restrict viewability or just default it to a certain dashboard. You can use session variables to direct users and My Account to default to a certain dashboard.

GC 11G DASHBOARD FOR MANAGER

The problem if you create Administrator user and log-in he can see more details. I need only to create a dashboard for managers and team leader with VIEW only. is that possible .

Unfortunately in 10/11, the most restrictive option is the publish report option. If the user tried to click on any of the report info, they would be prompted w/ a grid control login. With 12c, it gets much more granular in permissions and you will be able to isolate items, though I don't know that you can limit a user to seeing only a dashboard still.
For 10/11g
Go to Reports Tab.
Select say
Systems Dashboard report and Create Like.
Rename the report, complete your customer details...etc
Go to
General
Tick
[ ] Run report using target privileges of the report owner
Go to
Schedule
Have this repeating (how often you feel is needed)...and then tick the box
Save Copies of Report
[ ] Save a copy of report each time the scheduled report completes
In the Access Tab ensure that you tick -
Enterprise Manager Reports Website
The Reports website allows report viewing by people who are not Enterprise Manager Administrators. People who are not administrators can view only reports that have the "Allow viewing without logging in to Enterprise Manager" option checked.
Enterprise Manager administrators can view reports either from the Enterprise Manager Reports website or from the Reports tab. When logged in, administrators will see all reports for which they have access.
[ ] Allow viewing without logging in to Enterprise Manage
Once you have saved this you can view this report via the page -

ACS 5.3 Dashboard - Any way to create Dashboard for all users?

I'm at the point of setting up admin access for engineers needing to have insight into the operations and status of our ACS 5.3 systems.
I'm curious if there's any way to create a Dashboard that can be applied to all admin user accounts? (perhaps a custom role?)
I've been able to customize the dashboard for my own account to show what is most relevant, but am unable to figure out how to apply this layout and setup to all other users.
Basically, I have a number of folks that need to see this data, but that I can't exactly count on to setup their own dashboards to show the important details. If there were some way to build a tab/dashboard/portlet, etc (whatver it may be) and have it apply to all users, that would save me TONS of work so that I don't have to login to each person's account and set things up for them.
For example, I want to have all users see a tab/dashboard that shows the applet "Live Authentications", but with the protocol already configured to display TACACS vs the default which is RADIUS.
Any thoughts?

I see you are looking for read-only access to Dashboard. Currently there is no way to force all Admins to use same Dashboard and all admins will have full control of the Dashboard.

In general term, there is no specific action to create dashboard for I-pad or I-Phone Mobile :
- Dashboard created on the OBIEE environment are available with PC or mobile.
- You download just the Oracle BI mobile Application
- Just a point : The iPhone device does not currently support Flash components in Web pages. I have a date column and I am trying to create 2 dashboard prompts on the same page one as from date and the other one as to date.Is this possible to create.When I am trying to create it is giving me error like cannot use same column for creating the prompt

You can use the BICS connector that leverages BW queries directly. It is listed in the Connection Manager as "SAP NetWeaver BW Connection". You will need both the ABAP and Java stack and SSO configured between the two. You will also need to have SAP GUI and BEx installed on the machine you are doing development on. Note that dashboards using this connection can only be hosted in NW Portal for the time being until the next release of BI 4.x platform.

Create an iView for Xcelcius SP3 dashboard

I have created an iView for my Xcelcius SP dashboard and I keep getting an error when I click display. I used the instructions in the wiki page

i have the following error when i try to access any dash boards (item dashboard, collection dashboard, bucket dash board etc.,)
Portal runtime error.

Refer to the log file for details about this exception.
i do not find this error(4073650) in the trouble shooting link which you provided. Please let me know if there is any other configuration missing.

DashBoards not loading // Cant create new dashboards

On my win7 machine, I Cannot load or create any dashboards on my production system. Any attempt to creates an app crash and event ID 0 in my windows log.

the message resource is present but the message is not found in the string/message table
The console dashboard remains blank as per screenshot below. this happens on two seperate management groups on my machine. however, a third seperate environment renders absolutely fine.
However If I use a jumpoff windows 2012 server with the console installed, everything works fine on all three MGs.
I have tried repairing .Net as recommended in this post

And I have also run the VSAE repair tool without fixing the error.

You can see that I want to build my dashboard up using
HBox's, VBox's, Panels and the individual custom components
(myDashboarComp) - keepinng the layout and structure quite simple.
The above MXML creates a simple Dashboard consisting of the
canvas (where it all starts - it constructed from -
"dashboardCanvas"). the canvas has 2 panels within a HBox (so are
side by side) called "panel 1" and "panel 2". panel 1 contains a
VBox containing 3 components (displayed vertically) and panel 2
contains a HBox containing 3 components (displayed horizontally) -
so very simple.
However - I want to control this layout externally e.g.
passing an object or array (some sort of descriptor) to describe
the layout to my app.
I then want to loop through this descriptor item and build my
dashboard using ActionScript rather than MXML to more control and
flexibility.
this is the object I have created and have been experimenting
with in ActionScript:

This is as far as I got as I kept hitting hurdles from here.
Basically - all I want to do is somehow read / loop through
this object and build my dashboard.
First of all I was unsure of the best way to loop through the
object - as I have to do it in order to get the correct layout...
i.e. the first 3 "myDashboarComp's" are added to the >
VBox that is added to > "panel1" that is added to the > HBox
that is added to the > Canvas.
This is where I ran into my second problem. I managd to loop
through and read the elements checking there "item" in the object
and adding them accordingly.... I could loop though and add each
item to the canvas ok, e.g:

in the above actionScript the canvas "dashboardCanvas" is
already set up in the MXML (but is the only MXML container added as
the rest should be built using the create object "descriptorObj" in
AS).
This is my next problem - when I have added a container,
e.g. a panel the next items e.g. my "myDashboarComp's" should then
be added to the previously added panel and not to the canvas
anymore - I need some way of telling the app to add children to the
last added container and not to the canvas (and each container can
change type from a panel to VBox to HBox etc....)
I hope what I am trying to say makes sense, and any help on
this one would be greatly appreciated.
I just need pointing in the right direction and some ideas on
how to continue would be good - and if my thinking / method / ideas
are actually possible.

All things in ActionScript are based on objects. Constructing

then binding that data to your dashboard objects is basically what
you are going to be doing.
For me it makes the most sence to have an idea of what
different types of objects you will be creating and create some
extended components for those objects. Then when you recieve your
data, binary or xml, you can digest the configuration settings from
the layout and populate the constructor for each of your
components.
It sounds like you need to organize your layout structure in
a heirarchy and from that you can walk each branch and create each
set of things as you parse your data.
Without a bit more information as to what you are
specifically doing that is about as far as I can go minus adding in
some code along some line that I think might work.

I have prompt for year;
scenario 1: i need to filter the year by 2001,2002,2003.
or
scenario 2: need to filter the year by only one year 2001.

I have created a dashboard on top of webi report; but i have filter for the year in from to value's.
Ex:
Year is from 2001 - 2009.
when i am enabling this prompt in xcelsius i cannot see from and to option; how should i design this one.

How to create Presentation variable for columns and to use it in Narrative?

Anybody know how to create presentation variable for a column (i.e., i need to create it in edit formula section itself). And then, I should use it in Narrative section to display that column value. Is it possible? Or do i need to use any other variable for this requirement? If so please let me know, how to create it? This is very urgent requirement.

I just want to create a table that should horizontally display the values like below:

I think we can create this type of report using either Narrative or Static Text. But I am not sure whether it is possible or not? And also another thing is that sectioning is applied for SUID Tag # column. So, depending on the dashboard prompt if the SUID Tag # retrieves two or more values.
Then the first value for example 123456     and the values for the other columns related to this SUID Tag # value should display in the first page (i.e., page 1). And if the next value of the SUID Tag # for example say 678901 then the values should move to second page that is like this:
     SUID Tag # :678901               Year Mfg: 2008
     Description: Computer Manufacturing FA ID#: 4577

Can I create a Dashboard in CRM OD that Displays The Periodic Revenues?

I would just like to ask how to create a Dashboard Report that displays Sales Revenues on a Monthly Basis?
Currently, our company is displaying revenues on a per quarter or per fiscal year basis. However, the sales people wants to fine tune the display into monthly basis.
What triggers should I activate in order to display the revenues as per the desired report?

you can do the following
1. -create a quick report {Reports > Inventory > User Tracking > Quick Report}
2.export the last report which I suggested and filter the MAC address you are interested in
3. you can create a Custom report {Reports > Report Designer > User Tracking > Custom Reports } as per your need.
