  • How to Create a hyper link iview in portal

    Hi Guys,
    Can any one help us to create hyper link url iviews ( I want to open a iview when click on the link of another iview )
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    Its very easy.
    Step1) Go to content admin -> pcd content ->  Create a folder in pcd content.
    In that folder create an iview. you will get so many iview templates -> select your desired template iview.
    (If you still confused, search in the sdn for creating an iview in pcd content).
    After creating that iview, open the same iview as object. check the quick link property. intially it will be blank.  set the quick link property as iview1(as an example).
    Step2) go to content admin->km content and to go to ur desired folder, say documents.
    Create a folder abc and  inthat create an external link iview1.  give the url as /irj/portal/iview1.
    Step3) create a KM Navigational iview(iview2) and open as object. set the property 'path to document' as /documents/abc.
    Preview that iview2 . you will get an hyper link iview1. on clickink that iview1 details will display.
    Search in the SDN for creating KM navigational iview or any other iview.
    Hope that helps.

  • Can document links be added via scripting?

    Can we add document links through scripting on Master Agreement header page? We are trying to mass update document links for about 3000+ records and hence I need to create a script (one time task) that can add these values on MA header page.
    I am trying to create the document link defintion as follows:
    DocumentLinkDefinitionIBeanIfc dld = (DocumentLinkDefinitionIBeanIfc)
    TypeFactory.createObjectReference(620);
    dld.setDisplayName("Test");
    dld.setInternalName("Test");
    dld.setLinkClassId(509);
    dls.setSystemDefined(new
    Boolean(false));
    dld.setLinkDirectionType(new DocLinkDirectionTypeEnumType(3));
    dld.setLinkDefinitionType(new DocLinkDefinitionTypeEnumType(3));
    and then set this document link defintion to Document Link Bean as follows:
    DocumentLinkIBeanIfc dl = (DocumentLinkIBeanIfc)
    TypeFactory.createObjectReference(509);
    dl.setExtRefDoc("99999");
    dl.setExtRefLine("900");
    dl.setLinkDefinitionObjRef(dld);
    But this is giving me error.
    Let me know if I am doing something wrong.
    Any help will be appreciated.

    Hi,
    I create the document link definition between two agreements (variables doc and otherAgreement) using this code:
    documentLinkDef = documentLinkDefHome.findUnique("FCI-CONTRACT RELATED");
    newDocLink = doc.documentLinkList.create();
    newDocLink.linkDefinitionType = new DocLinkDefinitionTypeEnumType(1);
    newDocLink.linkDefinitionObjRef = documentLinkDef.objectReference;
    newDocLink.LinkDocObjRef = otherAgreement.objectReference;
    doc.documentLinkList.add(newDocLink);
    Hope this is helpful

  • Accessing MetaData from Bex - Document Links?

    Hello experts,
    This is a two part question.
    We are interested in BW's ability to provide metadata access to report users.  We are familiar with the Metadata Repository in the Admin Workbench but this will not be accessible to the majority or report users.
    Issue 1:  Is there a way to access BW metadata from the Bex report?  If not what possible workarounds can you suggest?
    One workaround that was suggested was to create a document link within the Bex report to access our own technical specifications.
    Issue 2:  Is it possible to create a document link for a Bex report?  If so how?  Is there more flexibility to access metadata via Web Reporting?
    Thanks for any suggestions,
    Adam

    Elaborating on point 2 -
    You can attach a document to the BEx query. This can be done in properties section of the query. You can also attach documents per characteristic in AWB. Whichever of the above suits your requirements.
    I am not sure what exactly you mean by "...more flexibility to access metadata via Web Reporting?". It is possible for documents to be available over an HTTP content server.
    Anil.

  • Link iview - organise entries

    Hello,
       I have created a km link iview and it's working fine. However I need to remove the 'organize entries' option that appears on it. I know the option to remove is in the layout set but I can't find it when I open the set !  Any clues please.
      Cheers,
         Phil.

    Hi Phil,
    Try to restrict permissions for the "EveryOne" group.  Just give the "EveryOne"group only Read permissions to the KM folder where your Links are stored.
    hope this helps,

  • Create Personal Documents Folder and iView to display

    Hi, I would like to
    1. Create an KM Navigation iView to point to a users Fersonal Folder
    2. Create an KM Upload iView to upload documents to a users Personal Folder
    These iviews should point to a users personal folder dynamically based on who is logged in.
    Also,
    3. I am noticing that there is no Entry Points Folder or any personal user folders set up.  Can anyone give me some direction how to create these or get them to appear?
    Thanks for any help with this!

    Hi, Thanks much for the quick reply.  When I added this path I end up in my top level user name folder KMURRAy.  The screen shows up as follows:
    KMURRAY
    ==> actioninbox
    ==> Favorites
    ==> Personal Documents
    I was thinking that your solution would might put me in the "Personal Documents" Folder.  I next just added '/Personal Documents/' to the end of the intial folder parameter to be put directly int my "Personal Documents" folder.
    This is great.  Thanks again for the help.  Greatly appreciated!

  • Creating a new "Link to a Document" opens Word document or upload document dialog - plus more!

    The Link to Document content type seems to be corrupted at root. When I attempt to create a new Link, either Word opens with a blank document or the "Upload" document dialog opens. It's been changing as I investigate.
    One things I've noticed is that the "Link to a Document" Content Type on the parent site collection now shows it's parent as Document. this explains why the Word document opens, but not why the Upload dialog does.
    While writing this question, I decided to check further and it seems that the other document types, Audio, Video etc.  all now have Document as the parent and are opening a blank Word document.
    Has anyone seen this behavior? How do I fix this?
    This is on SharePoint 2010.
    Thanks in advance.

    Well, I spoke too soon. The process worked for all the custom content types, but the default Document type was still messed up. I probably should have fixed that one first, but...
    Anyhow, the Document type had no template going to the Upload File dialog rather than the blank Word document it's supposed to go to. I followed the same procedure I'd followed for the other content types, checking what worked on another site and using that
    template which in this case was a blank field:
    So, I went opened Document, Document Content Type and went to advanced settings. The template field was empty, which matched the working site, so thinking that if I saved, it would match up with the working site. I saved the Document content type and when
    after several minutes the save failed with an incredibly long list of locations where that were being perceived as "read only" plus several hidden content types that were listed as sealed. This snapshot shows a few of they many pages of content types. (I poorly
    struck through confidential info):
    Besides this gigantic error, which would require going to hundreds of locations on the site to change read access settings, which are, as far as I can tell actually not "read only" or are inaccessible, such as the hidden "System Page Layout' and so forth
    which shouldn't be based upon the default document type anyway and therefor not fixable, I need to understand why this is happening and what to do about it. I don't want to spend the next two days going over all of these libaries and content types and ending
    up back where I started with all the content types still screwed up. Afterall, I've spent about a day creating all these custom Content Types only to have the default Document content type loose its settings and corrupting everything and another day fixing
    it and having it happen again.
    This is a highly unacceptable behavior on the part of SharePoint and I would really like to fix this.
    Help is sorely needed.
    Thanks in advance

  • Creating a document & making it accessable on the web using a link.

    There is an issue I want to address to the forum. I don't want to clutter up my posted topic with an entire page of information that is rellevent to my topic. How can I create a document that other Apple Discussion members can view it using a link? Where can I "put" it so that it's accessible?

    Most any ISP you have will give you storage space, then it's easiest to ftp it to your storage, then post the URL like this...
    http://web3.ehost-services.com/bdaqua/
    I use TransmitX, but other free ftp APPs exist like Cyberduck. If you vist your ISP's site it should tell you jow to do it... if not post back with your ISP and I'll help further!

  • Connect content of archive link with newly created kpro document

    Hi all,
    i hope this the right plase to post my question. Unfortunatelly i did not find any SAP Records Management Topic.
    The issue is:
    i am able to create a new document in Records Management with the FM:
    SRM_DOCUMENT_CREATE
    But,  what  is not realy clear for me, how can i connect content of archive link with newly created kpro document.
    Thanks and Best regards,
    AT.

    Hi Attila,
    there is a difference between SRM_DOCUMENT_CREATE and ArchiveLink Documents.
    If you use the SAP Standard Service Provider for Documents SRM_SP_DOCUMENT this
    will refere to so called KPRO-Documents (KnowledgeProvider). This is totally different to
    common ArchiveLink scenarios.
    If you would like to use ArchiveLink Docs with attributes, there is the property unification in WebAS 6.40 available.

  • Add new document link not working in upgraded sharepoint 2013?

    Hello there,
    Upgraded SharePoint team sites from 2010 to 2013. add new document link not working for shared document in upgraded sharepoint 2013?. it is specially not working on machine where Office web apps set up with this sharePoint server and it
    is working fine with environment  Office web apps not configured with Sharepoint.
    Looking resoluion /suggestion, thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Sushil

    Hi  Sushil,
    According to your description, my understanding is that the add new document link was not working on machine where Office web apps set up with this SharePoint server after you upgraded SharePoint team sites
    from 2010 to 2013.
    For your issue, it can be caused by integrating Office Web Apps with upgraded SharePoint Site.
    Firstly please make sure claims-based authentication is used by the SharePoint web application that is used to create the new document. Only web applications that use claims-based authentication can open
    files in Office Web Apps. To determine the authentication provider for a web application, follow these steps:
    1.In SharePoint 2013 Central Administration, click Manage web applications.
    2.Select the web application that you want to check, and click Authentication Providers on the ribbon.
    The authentication provider must be displayed as Claims Based Authentication for Office Web Apps to work correctly with the web application. To resolve this issue, you can delete the web application and recreate
    it using claims-based authentication, or you can change the authentication method of the web application.
    Secondly, make sure the WOPI zones match on the SharePoint 2013 and the Office Web Apps Server farm.
    To do this, run the following command on the SharePoint Server:
    Get-SPWopiZone
    The result will be one of the following:.
    internal-https
    internal-http
    external-https
    external-http
    Next, run the following command on the SharePoint Server.
    Get-SPWOPIBinding
    In the output, look for WopiZone: zone. If the results from Get-SPWopiZone don’t match the zone that is returned by Get-SPWOPIBinding, run the Set-SPWOPIZone -Zone cmdlet on the SharePoint Server to change
    the WOPI zone to match the result from Get-SPWOPIBinding.
    If not work, you can try to disconnect SharePoint 2013 from Office Web Apps Server and re-configure Office Web Apps for SharePoint 2013.
