Create a list with PDV iview

Hi, i'm trying to create a list with a PDV(Portal Data Viewer) iview but when i try to run the iview preview, the system's response is an error message:
Run-time portal error
Request elaboration error for:

Creating a list with different row sizes...

I'm new to AS 3.0 and CS4 and I've been getting up to speed
on all of it. I've used the List component before with my own
CellRenderer. I now need to create a list with different row
heights. The List component is great and does everything that I
want but it requires all rows to be the same height.
I'm unsure of where to go. Creating my own class seems like a
lot of work. The TileList and Grid components don't allow different
sized (and dynamically changing) row heights either. Is there some
base class (SelectableList? BaseScrollPane?) that I should extend
or do I need to just bite the bullet and write it all from scratch?
I need each row to have it's own height and interaction with
a row could change the height of the row. The main use is a list of
data. If the user clicks in an item, it turns the display into
something they can edit (which will need more height).
Thanks for any thoughts on a direction I should think about.
By the way, I really like that AS 3.0 is much more consistent of a
programming language than previous MX versions that I've used.
We're doing a lot of AS/Flash/AIR work with it and it's turning
into a wonderful environment...

I created this anonymous Pl/SQL function at a application level ..Then I followed up to create a select list with a function inside. However I could not create select list with the command suggested in the demo which is
select getcrops(cropid) d, cropid r from crop;
APEX (2.1) returns a error message. What am I missing ? Should the function be called from somewhere else after creating a regular select list..? Where the functions (Pl/SQL) should be ideally stored for application level access..? and for across application level access ? How can I check the function works good. Help is appreciated.

Create a list with associated workflow from a list template.

Hi,
I have a calendar list with two workflows and I saved it as list template. Also I have an event receiver which creates a list based in this list template I created, but I noticed that the list is created without workflows. If I create the list
using the list template using SharePoint it does it with the workflows but my event receiver does not.
Here is my code:

According to my understanding, you have a list template contains workflow, you can create a new list with this template from UI. However, when create a list with this
template in Event Receiver, the workflow is missing.
I tried to reproduce by creating a list template contains an OOTB Approval workflow, then use an Event Receiver to create a list with this template, it turned out
that the workflow is attached to the newly created list.
I would suggest that you create another Event Receiver with the code snippet below to see if it is an issue of Event Receiver:

Problem creating mailing list with Server Console

Hi,
when I create a new mailing list, I do the following:
1. Right click on groups folder in Console
2. Choose New->Group
3. Entering all data and checking "Mail Account" under Account
The documentation sais, that a Mail-tab should now appear. But this is not the case for me!?
I can only create the group like this and have to add the attribute "mail" - to enter an email address - manually..
Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong or missing something? Also disallowing posting on this group can only be set manually. Shouldnt all this be done using a nice GUI dialog?
I'm using Directory Server 5.2 Patch 2. Also tried 5.2 Patch 4. Both same problem.

Hi Saven,
You can create a list in page 0 as suggested by Jari and choose the display point as you like. Items, regions and other attributes in page 0 works like a master page that can be accessed from any other page.

Creating a list with a dynamic counter

I have a dataProvider that looks like this.

Creating category lists with php (David Powers???)

I am creating a dynamic content website with numerous entries under various categories. The categories are kept in a seperate mysql that looks something like this (an example):

Main
Sub
1
food
candy
2
food
meat
3
drink
coke
4
drink
snapple
5

dr. pepper
6
food
bread
I have created a page where the user can see all of the main categories. In the above case, food and drink. I do not want 'food' and 'drink' to be repeated three times. So I have used php code which david powers gives in his recipe: http://cookbooks.adobe.com/post_Create_nested_lists_from_a_recordset__PHP_-16720.html.
The problem is that in the above case, the page will list: food, drink, food. This is because when the php passes through the 'drink's it then sees the last 'food' as being unique.
How do I get rid of this issue (without having to to continuosly reorder my mysql table)?

First, are you trying to install zend at godaddy?
Your include file is odd. "include_path='.:/usr/local/php5/lib/php:C:\Users\Becky\Desktop\colts \ZF\ZendFramework-1.11.4-minimal\library') in/home/content/79/7340479/html/library.php" - means PHP and Zend are located on 2 different machines
I appreciate it. the "C:\Users\Becky\Desktop\colts \ZF\ZendFramework-1.11.4-minimal\library' is where the file path.I use Godaddy but I have it zend on my computer and am just trying to get it to run. I tried running it from desktop, C:(where it's at), andneven put it in the file manager on godaddy and tried that path...

when i click autoloader.php in the tab bar it has a get option. but when i click it it says "operation failed because it is not on the remote site.

Hi
I'm working on a project in flex (first time) and I was wondering if it's possible to create a datalist that's updating itself when the cursor clicks away from the row? and if the row is empty to delete the row from the database?
Haven't found any usefull information on this, hope someone can help or push me in de right direction.
Where's the best way to find help on flex btw?

Can I share a Reminders list with someone else through iCloud?

I am wondering if I can create shared lists with my wife (separate iTunes account) in Reminders on iPhone/iPad that we can instantly update through iCloud. We're essentially talking about grocery lists and the like. (Yes, I know there are grocery apps out there but that's not exclusively what we're trying to do). We both have iOS 6 or higher. I have found a few posts related to this question but it appears as though the sharing functionality might have been lost with a recent iOS upgrade. Not sure though. Could anybody help?

how to create a list with multiple columns ? can anyone share some examples or code snippets

What I would usually do is create a movieclip/sprite that contains a row with every column in it (each column being a textfield). Then pile up the rows one atop the other (using Actionscript) as they are populated with data.

I checked this post and there was no solution to the problem there. I undersand we cannot create a list based on custom template in CSOM, but what I'm looking for is how of form xml and set it to CustomSchemalXml
property, so that everytime when I want to create a list with similar content types and stuff, I can just set the
CustomSchemalXml property.
