"Create a new version" does not work in 11

Downloaded True Grit in HD from my iCloud/iTunes account to my Mountain Lion iMac w iTunes11.1.1.
Want to load and play the movie on my iPhone4.
Selected the HD file in iTunes 11.1.1.
FILE/Create a new version:
All selections are greyed out.
Do I have to use Handbrake?

Hi- I downloaded the SD version (after following the instructions, Download HD When Available is unchecked ) of Shrek, it still will not sync to my iPod classic and the "Create New Version" options - all of them- are greyed out.
Also, although I saw the download size of Shrek was 505 MB instead of 3 GB, I still see "HD" in the description.
(And I went back to iTunes store to double check the next movie, Peter Pan, and I see the check mark is BACK in "Download HD When Available". )
So I can't sync the SD version of Shrek to my iPod classic, and I can't convert it in iTunes.
Help?

Augh, trying it again, I am using iTunes on my PC, where I take out the check mark for Download HD When Available, but I am using my Mac to download the movie.
Again, it seems to be downloading the HD versions.
So now I am downloading on the PC, just authorized it... and the check mark is back AGAIN, so I took it out and now downloading the videos to the PC.
I'm trying not to complain about how Apple is making it less possible to use Apple products and purchases...

But, frankly, I don't think that simply reinstalling the old Safari will work because of all the peripheral, under the hood changes that happen when you upgrade from one version of Safari to another. Reinstalling 5.1.10 may be insufficient to turn back the clock. (This is the moment where a Time Machine or another form of full backup would save your bacon.)
While you're getting a copy of Safari 5.1.10, get a copy of Firefox (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/desktop/), too, so that you have an alternate browser to use as you're sorting matters.

If Firefox disabled some add-ons (especially extensions), it likely is because they include a list of compatible Firefox versions and haven't yet been updated for Firefox 5. If they worked on Firefox 4, there is a good chance they will work on Firefox 5.
You can force Firefox to ''ignore'' add-on version restrictions by (what else) installing an add-on. Then you can test whether the add-ons important to you actually work in Firefox 5.

When I am asked to upgrade my firefox version (to 3.6) I cannot do certain functions with my joomla template. Example; I cannot upload any images. I have to convert back to the 3.5.9 version in order to do this task. I need help. I want the upgrade, but I cannot afford to lose any functions in order to up date my site.

Syncing to a new iTunes library or computer will erase your iPod. Only if you back up your iPod manually before syncing, you can restore your device from that backup again. A manual backup does not include the sync process.
Do this:
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your iPod to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your iPod without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your phone for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the iPod for the first time.
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in iTunes and transferred your purchases.

To do this in iMovie 11. use the SHARE menu. Share your project using the Share menu and choose Export Using QuickTime.

The Ask Toolbar is causing that in the Firefox 3.6.13+ versions. Uninstall that extension.
There are a couple of places to check for the Ask toolbar:

Since you have a Intel Mac, if you can upgrade to OSX 10.5.x then you may be able to use more current releases.

It opens up a blank page. The only way to make the link work is to click on the navigation bar in the new tab and press enter to reload the link.

You need to restore the pre-upgrade backup of the library file in the manner shown in Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash.

"Open a new tab" does not work, nor does File/New Tab

This issue can be caused by the Ask.com toolbar (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions)

Firefox previously worked fine but after installing new version does not open. Opens in the same day that I install it but not after restarting computer.

I just installed the new version of firefox. My firefox worked fine with the previous version. But the new version only works on the day I install it but the next time i start my computer it does not work. It does not open after clicking the icon. I even uninstalled it and then reinstalled it but again the same thing happened. I have no idea about plug ins etc. but I did not install any new ones.

Could you review/adjust your preference for which program opens PDFs? I'm not sure how that drop-list behaves when there are multiple Adobe plugins. You might need to physically remove an old plugin file or two to make sure Firefox is not trying to use the old one.
