Create a PD infotype

Hi experts,
Can anybody guide me on how to create a PD infotype? I don't know if I have to use PM01 transaction or PPCI transaction, can anybody solve my doubt?

I am populating it dynamically While Creating the PD Infotype.
I don't want any user to change the infotype using PA30.

Steps to create a HR Infotype:
1) Go to Transaction PM01.
2) Enter the custom Infotype number which you want to create (Should be a 4 digit number, start with 9).
3) Select the 'Employee Infotype' radio button.
4) Select the 'PS Structure Infotype'.
5) Click on Create... A separate table maintenance window appears...
6) Create a PS structure with all the fields you want on the Infotype
7) Save and Activate the PS structure
8) Go back to the initial screen of PM01.
9) Click on 'All' push button. It takes a few moments.
10) Click on 'Technical Characteristics'. Infotype list screen appears
11) Click on 'Change'(pencil) button
12) Select your Infotype and click on 'Detail' (magnifying glass) button
13) Give 'T591A' as subtype table
14) Give 'T591S' as subtype txt tab
15) Give your subtype field as subtype field
16) Save and come back to PM01 initial screen
17) Click on 'Infotype Characteristics' ... Infotype list screen appears
18) Click on 'Change' (pencil) button
19) Click on 'New Entries'
20) Enter your Infotype number and short text
21) Here we have to set different Infotype Characteristics as per the requirement. (Better open another session with some standard Infotype's infotype characteristics screen and use as the reference to fill yours)
22) Save your entries.
23) Now the Infotype is created and ready to use.
24) If you want to change the layout of the Infotype as per your requirement...
25) In the PM01 initial screen...Select 'Screen' radio button and give 2000 as the screen name, then click on edit.
26) In the next screen.. Select 'Layout Editor' and click 'Change'.
27) Screen default layout appears...here you can design/modify the screen..change the attributes of the fields..etc.
28) Save and activate. (Don't forget to 'Activate at every level)
Subtype Creation :
Transaction PM01 Goto Subtype Characteristics. Click on Append and then subtype. Enter the name and description of subtype on screen.
Then goto technical Characteristics and maintain the details of subtype there. I.e name of subtype i.e. component name defined in PSnnnn. Subtype table is T591A.
Subty.text tab is T591S and time const tab is T591A.

Creating subtype for Infotype.

In thread Infotype the following method is given to create subtype for Infotype.

Hi,
What you are trying to do is to modify a Standard ( delivered by SAP ) object. This would obviously not be allowed all that easily. You will have to contact SAP and obtain what is known as an access key. You would then be able to modify the object. This stipulation makes it explicit that SAP is not responsible for any problems that you may encounter by changing the standard functionality.
There is, however, an exception to this. We have something called user-exits in sAP. These are the places in the code where SAP has given the customer an option to include some custom functionality within the standard functionality. That is because SAP thinks that these are the points where customer-specific functionality is most likely.
Hope you can now see the point. If you want to modify PM01, you have to either search if an appropriate user-exit is available, or you have to contact SAP to obtain the access key.

How to create a PA infotype through IMG

Hi,
I am not able to create a PA infotype using PM01. I am working on IDES and it gives me a message saying 'you are not a developer" when I use PM01. I know you can create an infotype through IMG, would anyone have the process of doing that. Any help is so much appreciated.

Ask your basis guys to give Authorisation for PM01.
Infotype creation is generally done by technical consultant.

How to create HRP type infotype ?

Hi All ,
I have an requirement that i have to create (ECC 5.0) a HRP infotype (9330)... and am trying this from PPCJ (Tcode) but am not able to create ...
When am going to create the infotype in PPCJ its giving the message.... ' Infotype 9330 cannot be created please look at the log ' and under Infotype category am selecting ' Table Infotype '.
Is their any prerequisites to be maintained before creating ?

Problems creating hrp1000/1001 infotypes with HR function RH_INSERT_INFTY

I'm trying to use fm RH_INSERT_INFTY in an rfc to create Personnel Planning infotypes 1000 and 1001. (I.e. to create a position.) They are linked, so I've tried creating using update type (vtask) of 'D' (Dialog) as well as 'B' (Buffer update) to just update the buffer with the 1000 and 1001 before applying the update. Whichever way I try I get the error "Creation of object ID 00000000 is not allowed" when I call fm RH_INSERT_INFTY.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong please.
Can you create an infotype 1000 and 1001 in one call to the fm ? Or do you have to call it twice, once for each infotype ?

Hi Craig
To create an HR object, try the FM "RH_CREATE_OBJECT". To create relation data you can use "RH_INSERT_INFTY_1001".
Or you can make use of the HR BAPI written for this.
For HR objects (comprising also PD) you can use the Business Object "HRMasterDataReplica". It has a class method as "SaveReplicaMultiple" where you can pass your data to the interface.
You fill "BAPIHROBJ" and "BAPIHRINF" mainly and other infotype-related parameters. e.g. for infotype 1000 "PdObject" (structure like p1000) and for 1001 "PdObjectRelationships" (structure like p1001).
These are BO names, you can use the transaction code "BAPI" for more information.
The BAPI for this method is discussed also at BAPI_HRMASTER_SAVE_REPL_MULT.

How to create customer specific infotype in PA? i tried creating in PM01, but it is not getting reflected in PA30. is there any other method to create customer specific infotype? or do i have to copy from standard infotypes? Creating / Updating Custom Infotype Records

Hello everbody,
We implement alot of custom HR infotypes in our system, both PA & HRP.
For the past several we have been using BDC (Batch-Input) recorded functions in order to update / create the records in our infotypes.
We're currently facing an upcoming ECC upgrade , and I would like to lead a change that will eventually lead to us using generic SAP supplied functions.
I've researched a few functions that might do the trick:
RH_INSERT_INFTY:
This one is giving me an SY-SUBRC 2 error code - Insert error, I tried to select a current record and insert it as different objid but this doesnt work.
HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION:
I've read of several people that recommended using this function, but it is not released by SAP and I couldnt get it to work as well.
BAPI_HRMASTER_SAVE_REPL_MULT:
This one seems to work for sap infotypes but I dont think it suits custom infotypes.
What is the "official" way of doing such operations?

PP02: Create Qualification Management (infotype 1055) record for a job

Hi Experts,
I would like to create Infotype 1055 records via PP02 for a job (Otype: C). I'm able to create Object type 'Qualification' and Object id 'XXXXXXXX'. There is another field Proficiency which is disabled. But we do want to maintain Proficiency at this point.
When I checked the code behind the screen, I found that this field is enabled for input only when the OTYPE is 'QB' (Qualification Block).
How do I enable this in order to maintain it. Any user exit/config setting to enable it would be highly appreciated.

Gary, I do not want to use PPPM as it is difficult to manage it via BDC or LSMW and the most important thing is that PPPM creates relationships but I want to create entries in HRP1055.
Any other ideas/thoughts ? My first thoughts are to use an enhancement. But couldn't find one.

PPCI Create customer PD infotype

Hello,
I tried to use TA PPCI to create a new customer infotype. I was ask to create entries in table T777D and TDCT. If I wanted to create a new dialog module (SE35) the system didn't allow that because TA SE35 is obsolet. But to test or use the infotype with TA PP01 or PPDM the system says there is no entry in table TDCT.
Could anybody explain to me, how to create new customer PD infotypes or how to create an entry in table TDCT.

How to create subscreen for Infotype 7?

Hi all,
    I have an Infotype 7 enhancement job which need me to create a subscreen in infotype 7. The subscreen will use to store additional information for part time employee and this information will store in customized cluster tables.
   Anyone have information about how this can be done? I really don't have any idea of how to start this job.

To add data on the subscreen just goto SE80 open program MP000700 and goto screen 100 and use it for your updation.

Error : while creating record in infotypes for specific comany code

I am using custom infotype 9025 and 9028 for bonus scheme info for some comany code. E.G. 0004,0010 etc.
when I am takin an employee og comany code 0002 its not allowing to create data for that an giving error "No authorization to maintain &IT TEXT exists" .
So can any body help me out what is problem for that.
