i created a query in sqvi and the program that is generated automatically,
also i create a txn for that program
i want to transport it to Productión, but i cant!
i tried to attach the program manually to a transport (se10, using R3TR PRG MY_PROG),
but an error msg is displayed "u need to enter in a catalg"
any knows if is posible to transport it?

"Submit Form" button automatically created when opening form in non-adobe program

I tried browsing the forum for a solution to getting rid of this annoying automatic button but got nothing. It gets generated on the body of the form (top right) when I publish for distribution using any method for collection. I'm using pdf expert 5 to fill and submit forms because adobe reader doesn't do what I need how I need it. Everything is perfect except for that annoying submit form button that specifies submitting by email because 'user is not using reader or acrobat version whatever'.
Anyone know how to get rid of this button?

Yes, that is correct.
I did not manually add this button, so I am assuming it was somehow automatically created.
It worked great up until now that I need to change the "To:" email address.
I've look through the XML code associated this this email address and changed it every where I could find it, but it still hasn't changed my results. So, I have no idea how to change this and as stated above, if I create a new form it automatically sets it up to be sent to the wrong email address. Not sure why or how to change it?

Saving information in pdf created in Adobe forms

I am certain there is a simple solution to this issue but I cannot find the answer. I have created some template forms in FormCentral that I use in a therapy clinic. Once I have created the forms I save them as a pdf. I then enter the information relating to the patient then save the pdf. However, when I send this pdf form to other people the form they open in blank. Can someone please let me know how to make save the information I enter into a form that have created in FormCentral and saved as pdf. I don't have any requirements for others to complete the forms I create. Just want to save my info. Thanks!

You need to find out what devices and apps or programs are being used to view the PDFs.
Many mobile apps that can read basic PDF documents cannot process PDF forms and form fields.

How do I allow the user of the form to insert JPEG files when filling out the form and how do I allow the user to add more fields or groups of fields as needed.

The type of form yo're describing is possible if you create it in LiveCycle Designer. It may also be possible in Acrobat, but there are certain restrictions. The type of form is known as a dynamic XFA form. LiveCycle Designer is not available on the Mac, so you'd have to install the software on a Windows machine and learn how to create this type of form. The LiveCycle Designer forum here is a good resource for getting more help.
Reader 11 now supports creating new pages using templates with a form that you create in Acrobat (Acroform). This requires some JavaScript programming. It also adds support for using a button to display a page from a PDF, which can be an image or anything else a PDF can be. So the user would click a button, be prompted to import a page from an existing PDF, and the button (or a different button) displays it as its icon. This would require the user to convert the image to PDF first, which is relatively easy these days (e.g., using Preview on the Mac, or Word on Mac/Windows). This too involves a bit of JavaScript programming, but it's very simple and straightforward.

Which form?
Many of the forms are created with LiveCycle ES so it might be possible to edit the form with Acrobat X Professional. If you have the data in an SQL database, you could possibly create a data connection and import the data into the form and save a copy of the completed form. You can also use the Acrobat JavaScript 'importTextData' to import a row of data from a tab delimited data file.
You might want to talk to other Real Estate professionals to see how they are going do this. If you have a property management program, that program might have an update to perform this task.

Hi Naveen,
ECC 5.0 is NW04 - not NW04s so you don't have WDA at all as you should be able to see from e.g. it not appearing in the list of possible programming objects in transaction SE80.
You'd need ECC 6.0.
Double-check your SAP_BASIS release in menu System > Status > Component Information. If it says 6.40 then that's no good... you need to be on 7.00.
You can still use Java WebDynpro with ECC 5.0 of course.

Can I create an HCM Form without the involvement of any Workflow steps ? I tried to create a simple form to save the User id( IT0105) of a person. I tried to simulate the process through program RPASR_TEST_PROCESS_EXECUTION. But, finally it failed saying "No workflow assingned. Process not successfully completed" . How should I proceed if I dont want any workflow steps to be included?
I just want the form to update the infotypes directly when I save.

Yes. This is undocumented for some reason (I learned it from SAP folks! haha). Set the workflow to:
NO_WORKFLOW

And in what program? You need to be more specific. Creating conditional forms is of course possible, but the procedures will depend on the actual program and target medium. HTML forms work differently from PDF...

Choosing program form

I have begun writing some code that would be an actual software program, however this software program may very well work better as a web site. I am not sure what is the best option to do in this situation, as i am not very knowledgable in java's web site/dhtml ability. Hoping to get some advise if there is a better way to do this, or if using a downloadable application would work best for the site's users.
I know many people are obsessed with programming to make games, and such, but i truly am serious as to the design. I have made a few application-based games, but have never attempted one that would use a server side script to moderate multi-player ability. Now, the interaction between players could be done by using a downloaded software app that would send commands to the server, recieve reposnses, etc. However, i imagine it would be faster, safer, and more secure to have the application run through a web page. Is it possible to have a web site with all the same functionality as an actual program? And if so, what form of Java web development technologies should i utilize? There seems to be many different ways to have java be used as a client-server device, and i know none of them. Rather than learn all and decide, just wondering if anyone would have any ideas as to which of these programming forms could be used for massively multiplayer communication with a server?
Also, because all of my programming experience has been with application programming (Yes, i will admit, with Microsoft J++), i am hoping to find something that i could learn, possibly similar to that form of programming.

That's an awfully open-ended question.
If you want to work in a web context, you can deploy servlets and JSP on the server side.
On the client side, you can use applets or just standalone applications.
If you want to work within a browser context, you could use JSP on the server side and applets on the client side. Or, you could use just JSP and no applets (the player's GUI being done entirely in HTML/DHTML), or you could use no JSP and applets on the client side (in this case, presumably the HTML would be a static wrapper, just with an <applet> tag and little else).
Or you could work entirely outside of a browser context. You could still use servlets on a web server, but use standalone java applications on the clients. In this case, JSP would be extraneous IMHO. In this case you could use web services (either following some standard or just roll-your-own, I guess).
Or you could avoid using a web server at all, and create a completely different kind of server.

Is there a way to create a PDF form that ANYONE can fill out and SAVE with their content? By anyone, I mean someone who can download and use the free Adobe Reader, on either a Mac or PC. I have Acrobat Pro, and would like to be able to create forms that can not only be filled out and printed, but saved and emailed, which is not an option with the forms I have created to date. They can be filled out, but not saved, with Adobe Reader.

To do what Dave indicated you need to do, it depends on what version of Acrobat you have:
Acrobat 8: Advanced > Enable Usage Rights in Adobe Reader
Acrobat 9: Advanced > Extend Features in Adobe Reader
Acrobat 10: File > Save As > Reader Extended PDF > Enable Additional Features
Acrobat 11: File > Save as Other > Reader Extended PDF > Enable More Tools (includes form fill-in & save)

I'm fairly new to this, but I think it has to do with the way you have the drop downs named. Did you copy one then keep pasting it in each field? If so, that is the problem. You should rename each one with a different number: Dropdown1, Dropdown2, etc. I think that might solve the issue.
