Is there a way to create a rollover so that when your mouse moves over the first, the rollover appears as a larger image (right next to / above / over) the first?

I am using a customized version of the iBooks Author template which has the space image. I have replaced the images for the book cover, chapter and section. But I noticed that when you rotate the ipad to view the entire TOC, the original space image is still there. I just tried w/that template - switched to Portrait mode...tapped once to select that image....cut - gone. Switched to Landscape...not there. Back to portrait...still gone.

Why are my rollover images not appearing correctly in my browser?

I have created rollover images for some of my site navigation, and when I view it in my browser, they are not in the correct place on the page. When I click on each rollover, it eventually goes to the right place when I return to that page, but I must do this to all rollover navigation buttons in order for them to show up in the correct place. The links work fine. I am relatively new to this, so not sure if I am providing all the correct info here. My site is www.pfeiferdesign.com. I am using DW CS4. Would appreciate any suggestions!! How To Create A Header Image That Keep The Visitors?

Hello Adobe community. My name is Mike, and I have
been creating a website in order to reach and help
people in my industry, which is health and training,
especially for people who want to lose belly fat and
that want to get a six pack abs. I know it sounds silly.
Unfortunately, my niche has a reputation to be...
REALLY spammy, scammy, and scummy.
I'm pretty new to this internet business stuff, and people
not trustng what they see, so I really need some of your advice.
This is why I'm trying to build a website that really
connects with the visitors, and that delivers a lot of value.
The reason why I'm posting on this forum is to know if
you could help me create a banner that conveys trust,
value, and authority by pointing to what I should include
in the process of creating a Header Image.
For example, i'd like to know if the design should be
squarer/rounder, lighter or darker, or in a certain
dimension to convey those things and most importantly
KEEP THE VISITORS ON THE PAGE (not in an hypnotic
sense, but in an aesthetical sense.)
(you can tell, I have NO IDEA how to approach this).
If you could make a bullet point or top 10 things keep in mind,
I'd be so grateful!

Apart from what you write, you are up against everyone trying to do everything to seem trustworthy and all that so just about every approach is out there already. The very attempt to appear trustworthy may very well arouse suspicion.
Except maybe something that is the opposite of slickness and promises of easy solutions.
A statement that there is no easy solution but here is a viable way may work, especially for those having tried easy (who may be the vast majority of visitors), but it must be genuine and in accordance with the contents of the website, or the visitors will be lost through the gap between first appearance and contents.
I believe that is the only bullet point, or top 1 thing. When everyone else is doing the same, different makes the difference.

How can I create a DVD image that PC users can retrieve and burn...

I need to create a DVD disc image that PC users can retrieve from a private network share and burn to a blank DVD. Once burned, it needs to auto-start at the Menu. The master works fine. Images burned using the Mac Disk Utility work fine. But I have little control over who will download the image or the method by which they will burn it, so I need to provide visitors with guidance. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.

I've also heard that you can just copy an ".img" iDVD image to a pc, change the extension to .iso and then burn with Nero, etc. But I haven't tried it myself.....

It is not unusual for me to have a half dozen + copies of a single image. I am not creating these additional images which appear spontaneously myself so system must be causing them. I have Elements 12 and operating system Windows 7.

1- The only way for picture files to be automatically added to the catalog is to allow the 'watch folders' option in the file menu and not choosing to have the organizer warn you of any addition. If those files are already in the catalog they should be ignored, only new files should be added.
2- Otherwise, there is a downloader option to ignore duplicates when you import from camera or card reader to avoid importing several times from the same card.
The Organizer considers files are duplicate when they have the same 'date taken' and size in Kb.

Creating a rollover button that acts has a web 2.0 flyout information panel

Hello All,
I would like to create an action that, when a user rolls over a button, the button changes colors and a flyout appears showing the information that will help them. I have created the up, over, down buttons, but would like the information to be displayed without the user actually having to click. I tried a slidelet, but the rollover part of the slidelet covers up the mouseover affect...any ideas?

Also, I am not sure your Str construction will work. The caption is a text string, not a number, so adding 1 may end up looking like this:

Here is an example of looping through a button state. Becuase you are looping throigh a maximum of 9 states, I would script each state rather than build a string. If you want to build the string, you would need to convert the caption string to a number first:
$.caption.value.text = Str((Number($.caption.value.text) + 1), 1)
I haven't tested this.

How to create new icon / image to appear in Mobile Sales.

I have a requirement to colour a field depending on its numeric value.... I realise that colour is not possible in mobile, so an alternative work around would be to use icons, or images (of three traffic lights - red, amber, green) which I could make visible using coding logic. My question is, how do I get the Tile control 'Image' to work? I have dragged the image icon across onto the capoverview4 tile, and positioned it, but the image is of nothing.... there appears to be nowhere to specify the image source (a bitmap). How do I set this up? (In the properties of the image, I have two fields Image File Binary - which has nothing in its dropdown and accepts no manually entered value, and also File Extension - which also has nothing in its dropdown and accepts no manually entered value).

The two properties indicates the image file name and its extension type as mentioned below.
ImageFile Binary
Select the name of the image file (without its extension). If the control is bound to a data source, select the property with which you want to associate the image file binary of the control.
ImageFile Extension
Select the file extension of the image file. If the control is bound to a data source, select the property for the image control.

Navigate to Mobile Client Application Customization --> User Interface Customization --> Model a Tile --> Adding Controls to a Tile --> Defining an Image Control
Other Option is, in the application code we can define controls value as shown below
ctrlctrlProdImg.Value = "<path>" (Ex: C:\Image.jpg)
In the framework it will converted to ctrlctrlProdImg.Image = "<path>"
Better if we map the value in the application code level.

How do I replace an image that appears on selected pages on 4000 page doc?

OK, I have a 4000 page document and I want to replace a poor qualty logo with a nice vector version, but the logo only appears on two continuous pages ever other three pages. ie the logo appears on P2-P3, P5-7, P9-11,P13-15 and so on. Cannot find an action or global change that can do that, apart from typing in the whole range in "range" option, which is not an option really.

On a copy of the file, can you replace it with the vector graphic on one page? I am a bit concerned that you can replace it with the vector form since in PDFs a bitmap is considered a graphic and a vector graphic is treated some other way. So a test is appropriate first. If you can successfully do it, then it would be a matter of creating a script to replace the graphic in the entire file.

Resizing image that appears extremely small.

My image appears really small in the center of the screen and I have to enlarge to 6400% in order to get it to fit the page, is there anyway to get it to fill the screen at 100% zoom without distorting the image.

Probably not. If you place a 100x100px image into a 300 DPI file for all intents and purposes it will be tiny. Otherwise I don't know that it matters much. If your image serves as a template for re-drawing something, then there is no harm in just scaling it up. What's not there is not there and whether you zoom in or resize it will not have any impact on the precision of the paths you draw. For anything else to really make it larger you will have to use Photoshop and respective techniques.

Facebook recommend button: way to set the thumbnail image that appears in FB newsfeed?

I've successfully added a Facebook recommend button to a page on my website. It works, and shows up in my FB newsfeed when I click the button. However, the thumbnail image of the webpage that shows up is a cropped little piece of the webpage- you cant tell what it is and it looks awful.

Photoshop to pdf creates text and images that are not sharp. Why?

I know that Photoshop is not the premier pdf creation software. I do have InDesign as well, but I'm much more familiar and comfortable with Photoshop (I have the CC versions of both) so I prefer to use it as my design and layout tool.
However, when I save as a pdf the resultant pdf file is blurry for images and text, not horribly so, but not sharp and clear as I would like. My pdf files are for the web and emailing so I need to keep the file size in check, but even when I up the PS resolution to 300psi it still is not as clear as I would like. Still blurry.
What do you Photoshop experts out there do to produce the sharpest pdf possible? Is it even possible using Photoshop only or do you have to use InDesign or Acrobat Pro to get the clarity and shapness?

This is kind of like saying "I know that a screwdriver is the correct tool for inserting screws, but I'm much more comfortable using a hammer, so I prefer to just hammer the screws in."
It works, sort of. But the results will never be as good. And you wouldn't want to use the screwdriver with nails, either. There are two different tool (programs) for a reason, and I think once you learn InDesign, you will find it to be a much better layout tool than Photoshop.

Please help. I have an image that appears darker on one page and lighter on the other

The transparency blend space is cmyk on all and the image has no effects on it. But when I move it from the one page to the other it goes from darker and more contrasted to lighter and less contrasted. Copying and pasting as well as taking the original and replacing does the same thing.

Is the image cmyk? It sounds like the image is RGB and that one page has transparency and the other doesn't, so it's only being affected by the flattener on one page.
