Create A Rotator Banner in DW?

Hey, I have Dreamweaver MX and I was wondering if it was
possible to create a banner of rotating images. I just want a
series of 5 images to rotate on a loop. I’d like to be able
to fade up/down, but that’s not really necessary.
Thanks! :)

  • How to create rotating banner ad?

    Hi,
I am a complete and utter newbie when it comes to flash. I've bought Flash Professional CS5, and I am looking for a tutorial/help to create a rotating banner ad similar to the one on www.play.com.
Example: I've got four different pictures I want to rotate within let's say 3-4 seconds per picture. Each of the picture needs its own link, so people can click to get to the correct place. I want the pictures to "fade out to the left" when changing) How do I do this? Is there a simple tutorial? I've heard "flash is so easy", but I am having a hard time to grasp around it.
    Anyone got any tips?

Thank you, I will check that out. When you say my Action Script Version, I've noticed that I can go up to 3. Are there any recommendations for this? What do the action scripts do? What would you suggest for a slideshow?

  • Creating Rotating Banner HELP NEEDED PLEASE

    * Best software to create a rotating JAVA banner with *
    Hi
Sorry if I am asking a really silly question. I've spent about an hour surfing the web for a clear answer but haven't come up with anything.
I am having a W3C compliant website built and I need to create a JAVA/AJAX based image similar to how this works: [Gerrard Investments|http://www.gerrard.com/homepage.htm] but I don't have a clue where to start.
What programme do I use to create something like that?_ Preferably I's like to use a freeware application, otherwise I have Photoshop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Frontpage should any of those do it. I'd really really appreciate any advice. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Regards.

  • Is there a way to create a rotating slide show that changes once every 24 hours?

Is there a way to create a rotating slide show that changes once every 24 hours?

Make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
Then try deleting the library again.
    Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
    Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

  • What is the best way to create a flash banner that features video?

Hi I have created a html5 video banner but I also need to create a flash banner that will host a video in it
I have created the flash banner but not sure where to start in order to add video to it. I understand the best way is to host the video file on a server but how do I get that video to play within the banner?
    Thanks

You can incorporate an FLVPlayback component that automatically loads the desired video.  You could also make use of the NetStream class instead of having the component.  Google either one to get information on using them.

  • How to create an image banner that slides left to right with mouseover?

I need to create a web banner like the one on the following site:  www.gracelandbaptist.org.  I have been unabe to find anything on how to create such a banner.  I believe it was created in flash but am not sure.  I want my banner to work in the same fashion so that as the mouse is moved from left to right the banner will slide appropriately. Its possible that some java script might also have been used with flash.  If someone could point me in the right direction I would be most grateful.  Thank you.

It is a Flash design and is unlikely javascript is involved with the interaction.  There are probably a couple of ways to approach such a design, but if you have no experience with Flash, you will probably struggle to create it.  The basics involve place the different images  in a movieclip and controlling the horizontal position of that movieclip based on mouse interaction/position.  THe position controls are based on what values are needed to have a particular section of the movieclip occupy the main section of the viewing area.  Actionscript Tweens are probably employed to manage the position transitions.

Is it possible to create a rotating object in Muse? I have a round logo and I want it rotating.

    HI
If you are looking for an animated logo, which rotates in 360 degree, it is not possible in Muse. You can create an animation in Edge animate and import the animation in Adobe muse.,

  • How do you create a scrolling banner in Dreamweaver CS4?

How do you create a scrolling banner/marquee in DreamWeaver 4?  I can't find anything about scrolling banners in the documentation or in the several books I've searched.  Thanks.

Dreameaver can't create something like that out of the box, you need to use some type of script for the 'scrolling' to work.
This is pretty good, with lots of variations:

You may find something listed here that may give you an idea:

or go over to www.jquery.com  (that's one of the popular frameworks being used at the moment for image slidehows/banners/galleries etc).

  • Can I create a rotating image with sevaral images in  Photoshop?

I was wondering if I can  create   a rotating image with sevaral images in  Photoshop?    Much like a gif? Would this improve my page load time or would it be the same as loading a slideshow?  Here is an example of what we wanna do vacationsalabama

Yes you can create a gif in PS to do this but it would be much easier to accomplish with some simple JQuery Image slider.
    Several examples here
    and here
The benefit is they load faster, have speed options, and switching images out is a breeze. They can also have links asigned to the images as they appear.

You can select 5 (or more images) and place them by dragging in Adobe InDesign. After creating document go to File > Place, navigate to images and select them. In InDesign start dragging and press right arrow key couple of times then release mouse button. You can export file as PDF, JPG, PNG image from File > Export.

  • Trying to use a Rotating Banner Script

    Hi All,
I know that some of you are very well versed in iWeb '08 so I thought my question could be answered here.
I would like to use a rotating banner script on each of the pages on my iWeb made website on the .mac server. I'm not sure how to do this. The script will rotate 5 pictures. When you load one of the pages a picture will appear on top of the page. When you reload the page, you'll see a different picture.
What I need to know in order to accomplish this rotation is: 1) Where do I upload the pictures to be used 2)what will the link to the pictures be that I need to insert into the script and 3) How do I get the script onto my webpage?
Thanks in advance for the help

    Hi iwr,
I used a little application to make some banners because I cannot (or don't want to) learn code and you can see it here
    http://www.mireillegreen.com/Frenchresources/French_ResourcesMain.html
the site is far from finished so there are many dead links but the banners work. what the app does is upload the banner on my .mac then I paste the code in the snippet. and the snippet looks for the banner. So if I guess right the important is that you place the banner where you tell your page to look for it regardless of where you place it. If you want to try this app (it's free to try) you can find it here, then you can see how it handles the upload.

  • Promoted links with Image Carousel (Rotating Banner)

    Hi,
I am using promoted links webpart. I want to have cycle of images. For eg: I have 10 images . With the slider , I can go to next image horizontally.  Once I reach the 10th image, there won't be any next option. I want to display the 1st image after
the 10th. Means, the sliding should be never ending. How can I achieve this. I think I can use javascript to override the default promoted links functionality. Please suggest on how to do this. Thank you

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you want to achieve rotating banner for promoted links web part.
With JavaScript, it will be easier to implement such a web part.
Here are two links with code demos for your reference:
    http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/667584/Image-Rotator-in-JavaScript
    http://jsfiddle.net/jtbowden/UNZR5/1/
You can also take use of these jQuery image plugins in your project:

  • Can Pages create a large banner?

I'm trying to create a large banner (2 or 2.5 ft. x 5 or 6 ft) by "tiling" multiple pages together to create one large image of text. Can Pages do this, and if so how?

Can Pages do this, and if so how?
Pages > File > Page Setup
    Settings > Page Attributes
    Format for > Any printer
    Page Size > Custom
You are able to define a media geometry that is independent of the media geometry in your presently registered printer.
If you define a media geometry that is larger than the media geometry in your presently registered printer, the system lets you scale down the media geometry.
The media geometry scales as a whole - you can specify the scaling manually or you can let the system compute the scaling (fit once, fit twice - called two up, fit four times - called four up, etc.).
You cannot set multiple origins within the media geometry and manually tile the larger media geometry onto the smaller media geometry supported in your presently registered printer.
This is a limitation of Apple's implementation and not of the underlying printing model.
This is before breakfast coffee, hope my random access memory is working.

  • Creating a rotating ImageView

I want to create a rotating ImageView. I mean an ImageView that will rotate forever. I think I need to use an interpolator. May I ask someone to post a code example? :)
    Thanks,
    Polther

There are several ways to do it, eg. with a Timeline and the Rotation transformation, but perhaps the simplest way is to use [javafx.animation.transition.RotateTransition|http://java.sun.com/javafx/1.2/docs/api/javafx.animation.transition/javafx.animation.transition.RotateTransition.html]. The latter has an example, you can easily adapt it to an ImageView and a forever animation.
