Create a simple quiz for Muse?

I've discovered how to create a simple quiz with Flash and import this into Muse. It works well enough, although I need to recolour the stage (background) of .swf when on my Muse page.
The quiz has multiple choice radio button, a timer, a running and final total. Works fine as an interactive Flash file, put I know it will have limitations.
If I want to create an alternate layout for tablet, I suppose the .swf won't play in iOS. I've used the CreateJS toolbox within Flash, but the result when Published (in Flash) plays in the browser immediately from the first to last frame, even though there is a stop on frame 1. Also, I wouldn't know how to import this code into Muse. I've tried opening the .js file in Dreamweaver and copying and pasting the code into Muse, but this just copies the text and has no functionality.
I've also considered Adobe Captivate as a means to creating a simple e-Learning site.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Adobe Captivate isn't offered on the current version cloud (I hope it will be soon though)
I am also searching for a way to make a quiz and place it on a muse website.
I am thinking about using the form functionality to create a simple test. Also maybe creating a something in edge.

I don't comprehend what your doing now. Photoshop is not a file editor however it can create files that have more then one image. Perhaps you could describe what you want to do. What is a set, what is in the set, how many images in a set is that number always the same how do you want to crop do you have some layout in mind some size requirement?

Steps to create a simple formula for 2 KF

Hi, Can someone please give me steps to create a formula for 2 KF or redirect me. Do I need to create a formula variable? I just need to add KF1 + KF2. I RClicked on KF structure in columns and i can see only structure elements and formula variable. I don't see my KF. I am in netweaver 2004s.

No it isn't new in Netweaver 7.0.
Left hand side - > Keyfigures - > Calculated Keyfigures - > Right Click - " CKF "
You shud see keyfigures existing on the Infoprovider & other RKF's , CKF's existing on the query under "Available Operands "
When u create a formula ( which is local ) u may not see the keyfigures which doesnot exist in columns - u shud hav the keyfigures in the Columns to use them in the formula - u can use in the formula & to avoid them on the report jst hide em.

I'm having problems creating a simple program for an introduction to programming class.

I'm not exactly sure where this question should go so please excuse me if this is in the wrong place. At this point in the class we are learning about if/else statements. The text provided was written by a collaboration of the teachers. In the course material
for the if/else part they show us examples using numbers. Then the course also shows us a video to help us better understand (it doesn't. I'm not the only student having problems on the online course.) by giving us an example using bool to show if a statement
is true. Now our actual assignment is what is confusing me and other students. The assignment is to create a program that asks a question such as "Is this class hard?" and it should have three different responses depending on what you type in. If
you type "yes" it would respond "Oh no! I'm sorry you're having problems!" if you type "no" it would respond "Glad to hear!" if you type something random it would say "I'm sorry. I didn't understand. Please respond
with either "yes" or "no"." I'm not exactly sure how we were supposed to know how to do that from the course material provided and it's stressing me and other students out. Any and all help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure your folder having administration rights.
some folders property is read only... so check by right clicking on the folder and the properties.

Creating a simple score for a short video piece?

It is not clear to me how to create music in Soundtrack Pro 2, or even if Soundtrack Pro is capable of doing this. (Is there documentation about this? If so, I have failed to find it.)
As a result, I decided to switch to GarageBand and use the provided Final Cut Pro content. Unfortunately, each time GarageBand attempts to access an apple loop from the Final Cut Studio content, I recieve an error "The audio file "filename.caf" has a 0 bit format and can't be used."
Counterpoint to this, all of the GarageBand content is hi-lighted in red and inaccessible. Is this normal?
Any thoughts or advice would be welcome.

That is, you're going the Browser (in the lower right corner of the interface) in STP and navigating to the Apple Loops for Garageband folder (which on my system is Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Apple Loops/Apple/Apple Loops for GarageBand) and you're not able to import files?
Not necessarily related, but switch over to the Search tab and click Setup... and make sure that the above folder for the Garageband Loops is being indexed. If it is, you should be able to access GB loops when searching.

Where do I start with creating this simple app for OSX?

I've got a fairly solid knowledge of web programming languages but haven't ever really touched platform specific languages.
I'm wanting to build a "site-specific" app similar to the idea used for Pyro (http://www.karppinen.fi/pyro/). Basically wanting to create a downloadable app that visitors to my sites can download and use certain aspects of my sites from within an app...more or less just sort of "surfing" the web via the app.
I don't have a clue where I should even start looking to build this.
Any advice?

For a Mac application, you're going to want to learn some Objective-C and the Cocoa API.
Lots of people recommend this book for learning Cocoa and XCode.
You could also write it in Java and have it work across platforms. I like O'Reilly books for Java, as well as java.sun.com.

Create blu-ray menu for concert from scratch

Hi all,
I downloaded the Premiere Elements 11 trial yesterday and am evaluating it for purchase.
My first project is a blu-ray of a concert. I am on Windows 7 64bit.
Project settings are:
AVCHD 720p square pixel
1280x720
29.97fps
30fps drop-frame timecode
I want to create a simple menu for blu-ray (ie an HD menu) that has a still background and simple text buttons. The top menu would just have "play concert" and "track selection" text only buttons. The "track selection" button would lead to a page with all the track names as buttons that link to the scene markers for each track. That's it.
I only see pre-installed templates and none of them have the "HD" designation in the top right hand corner. How do I go about achieving the menu that I want?

Along with Steve's suggestions, one can customize the existing PrE Menu Sets, just relying on the "background" Menu Set structure, and adding Still Images, plus doing limited customization to the Text, etc.
To create PrE Menu Sets (like those on Muvipix), one needs two things:
Photoshop (Photoshop Elements has one limitation - it cannot create Layer Sets, unless that has been added to PSE, as of version 11), and then knowledge of what goes into a PrE Menu Set. Because much of the authoring functions in PrE are semi-automatic, the Menu Sets are very involved. Though I create Menus for Adobe Encore, from scratch in Photoshop, I still need one of the Library PrE Menu Sets handy, to get all of those semi-automatic conventions in front of me - lot of stuff required there.
If you cannot customize an existing PrE Menu Set, or find similar at Muvipix, then we can offer some links, that will be helpful, but I strongly recommend that one spend a day, doing a study of the Library Menu Sets, and still having one handy, for the specifics, required. It also helps, if one understands the naming and structural conventions of DVD Menus, and then especially PrE Menu Sets.

Script for simple quiz

I'm working on a pilot for an educational DVD with a simple quiz.
The idea is to match a word in the left column with another word in the right column. E.g. in the quiz Opposites, the first 'question' is the word 'Large'. From the other column the viewer has to select 'Small' from among 5 other words. When the selected word is correct, you automatically proceed to question 2; if you selected the incorrect word, you have to try again.
Can anyone give me a hint in the right direction and approach? Thanks...

There can be a few ways to approach this - not sure if you want people to be able to navigate back to column 1 after they select the column 1 choice ( or do you meean there is just one selection in column 1?)
Going with the assumption there is just one thing in Column 1 (just Large) and Coolumn 2 has the 5 choices, the general way is as follows:
Make the buttons in order over the choices
Then this script (My comments italics) which is attached as the action for each button

Please! can anyone tell me if after I create a site with adobe muse, is there anyway for my client to edit and update text and to a lesser extent images on the website?
I don't care if the client text/image editing and updating doesn't update in my Adobe Muse, as long as my client can update the text online.
Please help me answer this question, I have used adobe for decades (2) and am a print designer. I want to use Muse for websites but if my clients can't update text and images, I don't see how I can make it work.
If I have to use Business Catalist too; I don't care. I just want to be able to use this great software.

At the moment you can't using Muse's widgets, though you can insert html! So, you could have photo galleries linked to flickr that the client can update to, for example. I'm sure there are other options for slicker slideshows that can be updated client side!

You can't make it self correcting.
The only related idea I have is you could publish the Response Table (the "View Response" tab). You could add an entry for the "right" answers so after a student completes the form the re-direct URL could take them to the Response Table where they could see their entry along with the right answers that you had added.
They could not edit their response to correct it unless they have a FormsCentral account (free is fine) and you share the form with them, otherwise they can still view the link to see how they did (but would also see all of the other students answers).
If this sounds interesting I can give more detail on how to set it up.

How to create a simple File structure for a large project?

I've own and operated my own website design/development (a 1 woman office, plus many sub-contractors) over the period of 8 years. I started hand-coding HTML sites in 1997, before the creation DW (though I think the first ver was for Mac in '97). Over the recent years I've udated my skills to include CSS and enough Java/PHP to customize and/or troubleshoot current projects (learn as I go).
The majority of my clients have been other 1-10 person entrepreneur companies. I've recently won a bid to redesign a government site which consist of 30 departments, including their main site.
The purpose of this thread is to get some ideas on creating a file management/structure. Creating file management setup for smaller companies was a piece of cake, using a simple file mgmt structure within DW. Their current file structure is all over the place. I've read about a very good, simple file struture in a DW CS4 manual and wanted to get feedback on different methods that have worked, and have not worked, or your client:
Here's my thinking:
1. within the root dir place home.htm and perhaps a few .htm related only to home
    2. create the following folders off the root, "docs, imgs/global, CSS, FLA, Departments"
            - sub folders within docs for each dept
            - site wide css's placed into CSS
            - site wide FLAs into the FLA
            - sub-folders created within 'imgs' for each dept, including a 'global folder' for sitewide images and menu imgs (if needed)
- OR -
1. create same file structure for each dept folder, such as 'imgs/CSS/FLA/Docs'

It is a problem I have thought over at length and still feel what I use could be better. You are doing it the right way around researching before you start, as moving files once things are underway can course real problems. One issue is the use of similar assets across site(s), and version control if you have multiple versions of the same asset.
Can not say I have built a site(s) of that size but would recommend putting together a flow chart to help visualise the structure and find out better ways organising (works for me). Good luck, post back with your solution.

Creating a looping background for simple game

hello
I have been trying to create a simple looping background of a
road - so a car will be placed on top and give the ilusion it is
moving on it...
The problem is: I was able to follow the instructions from

and it works fine, however, it only works as seen on the link if I
publish to HTML... but I need to do the same and publish in
Flash...
What am I missing ?
I am quite new to Flash, so I apologize if the question is
silly...
I have been struggling to make it work for a few days now and

yes, if I follow the instructions on the site I mentioned and
then go to File > publish preview > html, it works as shown
in the website...
however, if i go to file > publish preview > flash, it
does not...
the animation is choppy and not continuous..
does it make sense ?
i was hoping it was just a matter of changing a setting...
