Create activity with survey through BSP

Hello,
can somebody tell me how we can create a survey through a BSP page and link this to an activity?

Hi Gerard,
Any speific reason to go in for a BSP? If you have the Enterprise Poratl 6.0, you have a quickpoll / survey feature in Knowledge Management. Pl post this question in the BSP or EP forums for a better response.

    Dears,
    i am in CRM 6.0 now. i have decided to use FM 'CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN' to create and change activity, also there is a import field named 'IT_SURVEY'. Now i want to batch upload the answers of the survey in a txt file to CRM and then create the survey and attach the survey to the activity.
    After check program 'CRM_SURVEY_UI' which also use 'CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN' to create activity and survey, i found SAP will convert your input to a rawstring. But the convertion is based on the HTML container(class gr_survey_html), my case is flat txt file. How could i realize the convertion ?
    Any advice? I am so puzzled on this for a long time..

    Edit: It is solved. CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN allows introduce a survey in an activity.

    you can achieve this easily by creating a partner determination procedure in which you will be having more than one partner function having the function category as activity partner.
    once you created the PDP just attach this to the transaction and then call the procedure when you are actually creating an activity.
    for sending mail you can use FM
    SO_SEND_MAIL_DOCUMENT_AP1
    this is just one way
    another way is which stephen suggests
    you can use the personalised mail form functionality ,this is good in a way u neednt do any coding it will solve ur purpose in standard way.
    another way is when you create campaign and when an inbound activity is created for the every survey response
    this way you can send multiple mail and also for more than one or even n number of activity partners ,we can create the activity for the same

  • Create activity from survey reponse

    Hi Experts,
    I'm trying to implement a scenario in campaign automation (CRM2007) where an activity is created when in a survey response a particular questions is answered with a specific answer (for example, when question X has answer Y, an activity (task) should be created so that customer service can pick this up).
    In the scenario outgoing mail as the response are generated in CRM. But how will i go about the creation of the additional tasks? After the decision node (when question X has answer Y --> campaign element Z) i put campaign element Z with communication medium Activity with an Activity Template associated to it. The workflow puts the business partner in the campaign element (number responses is + 1) but a activity is not created.
    Your help will be very much appreciated!

    Note: In the seconde BADI modify the method to add your transaction type.

    Sorry, I'm not following what you're asking. Screenflows do not have constructors. Is it possible that you mean an instance variable BPM Object's constructor? If this is the case, I'd suggest you instead keep the BPM Object's constructor very lean.
    You can run SQL from any Automatic task inside a Screenflow, any Automatic activity inside a process or BPM Object's methods that have their "Server Side Method" property set to "Yes". BPM Object constructors have their "Server Side Method" property set to "No" and cannot be changed. While you could invoke another method from the constructor that is server side, I would not recommend doing it. Almost always you'll want fresh data from the database displayed just prior to a presentation being displayed. If you populate information from a database inside your BPM Object's constructor, the information would be populated when the instance gets created in the Begin activity. If an instance takes 3 weeks to reach the 5th activity in the process, this same stale information populated 3 weeks ago when the object was initialized will be displayed in presentations shown in this activity. Presentations can have an initialization method (method run just before the presentation is shown). Consider using presentation initialization methods to retrieve the latest information from the database.

    You can do this with the CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN FM. Sorry, but I do not know by heart where the two fields are stored, but if you like to know use CRM_ORDER_READ to access a known activity and check where your data is stored.

    the column "QA_TPL_OBJID" contains the hrobjid of the questionaire hr object (otype VA) you maintain when you create an activity in the bsp. To be able to choose a questionaire from the search help you have to create and release one. Usually you will find the create question and create questionaire links on the administrator startpage.

  • How to create activity template for email campaign in CRM 5.0

    Hi,
    I tried attaching only a simple activity transaction type (Z005) to communication type email in SPRO > CRM > Marketing > Marketing Planning and Campaign Management > Campaign Execution > Define communication medium.
    After doing this, I was expecting that when I execute my campaign for channel email, emails will be sent to the customers and activity transactions of type Z005 will be created for each outbound email.
    Activity transactions are created, but I think I would like to maintain more details (description, responsible org etc.), which should be possible using activity template.
    I am struggling with creating activity template. I created a normal transaction of type Z005 and tried to maintain it as a template (which was obviously wrong), and the system gave me a message that I need to attach a template transaction of template type D.
    How do I create an activity template of type D?
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Kushal,
    As your are in CRM 5.0 you can create Activity template from SAP GUI. Just execute CRMD_ORDER and select your Activity type (ZOO5) and in Menu click on Extras->Template->Create  just enter required details such as (description, responsible org etc.)  save the template it will create Activity template number. While creating Email Campaign just enter activity template number.
    Execute Email Campaign it should create Activity with required details.

    i want to create a BSP pages, in first page i have to give input data (in input fields) which is required to create a sales order through BAPI function module (BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT1).
    in the second page what ever the result given by BAPI FM, that result i want to display on the second page.
    so how i can i proceed with input fields in first page and result in second page. please through some input on this.

    According to your description, you want to create a report with survey data and display the summary.
    Reporting Services is used for rendering the report with data retrieved from datasource. In Reporting Services, we can retrieve data from the datasource then design a report, after the report processed, data is fixed on the report. So it’s not supported
    to have the end users selection and do summary. For your requirement, it’s can’t be achieved currently.

  • Unable to create PO with multiple line items through LSMW-BAPI method

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement of creating PO through LSMW. I can't use LSMW standard batch input program since there are some fileds not available and also it has many limitations. I'm using LSMW-BAPI method ( Business object BUS2012) which create IDOC and uses BAPI_PO_CREATE1 to ultimately post the PO in the system. I am trying to create PO from a single file which contains both Header and Item data.
    Now my problem is that everytime PO is being created with Single line item only. Everytime I am giving multiple item data in the source file LSMW is preparing multiple IDOCs for multiple line items. As per my understanding this is happenng since header and item is in the same hierarchy level of IDOC type PORDCR102 and the control record is inserted for every line item in the source file.
    It seems that through LSMW-BAPI  it is not possible to create PO with multiple line items. Can anybody provide some input regarding this? Thanks in advance.

    Solved by myself.
    Earlier the problem was that LSMW was not being able to recognize items under same header. It was creating new IDOCs every time it gets a new item. To enable this we need to create two structure HEADERDATA and ITEMDATA.  Two additional identifier fields with identifier value 'H' and 'I' should be added in these two structures respectively. Then we need one sequential file with the identifiers field followed by the header and Item data. Example:
    H~header data
    I~item data
    I~item data 
    This would help the standard program to understand what are the items under same header and ultimately create PO with multiple line items.

    I have two scenarios to be configured for my client.
    1. Sales manager should be able to set up a meeting with his sales team in CRM. can any one give me a idea how we can configure it in SAP CRM & what is the transaction type (Business activity) to be used to setup meeting with employees.
    2. How to create an activity or task in employees calendar. where we configure calendar in SAP CRM, do we need to assign this calendar any where in order to create create activity for employees calendar.
    Please do let me know how to achieve the above scenarios.
    I got one more issue is that, I have created two transaction types (business activity types) 1 for transaction type for meeting with employee with category "meeting" in business activity and 2nd transaction type is for sending email to employees with category "email" in business activity. I have also assigned these transaction types to categories under sentings for activities ->assign transaction types to categories in SPRO. But I am not finding these two transaction types on UI under activities. If use different category for these transaction types like appointment then these are available on UI for activities. Please suggest me how to fix this issue too.

    1. It depends how you want to configure this and your detailed requirements. One way would be to create an activity of type Appointment and from this, create a CRM E-mail activity that sends an e-mail to all the Attendees in order to setup the meeting.
    2. Synchronizing Activities/Tasks is done with the Groupware Integration. I'm sure you can find some documents in SDN for it, but for now you can take a look at the IMG node (Customer Relationship Management->CRM Middleware and Related Components->Groupware Integration) and the help.sap.com (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm70/helpdata/EN/47/09e1c4cc8d4861e10000000a155369/frameset.htm) page.
    The "New" button in the standard Activities Search will load everything under the "screen kind" ALLS, which means all Activities with Activity Class Appointment, Task, E-mail and Sales Call. You can see this in the method CL_CRM_UIU_BT_ACT_CUST_GET=>GET_ACT_CLASS_FOR_SCREEN_KIND. It is pure UI logic that you can influence if you make modifications or enhance the Appointment UI (for example the component BT126S_APPT, by changing the screen kind passed). You'd need to debug a little bit to understand the logic, however.

    I'm using bapi BAPI_PO_CREATE1 to create PO with reference to one or more PR. I have a problem with document date:
    If the delivery date of the PR is lower than creation date of PR, the document date of the PO is the delivery date (lower than sy-datum).
    If the delivery date of the PR is the same or higher than creation date of PR, the document date of the PO is the creation date of PR (sy-datum or high).
    I'm trying to change this date in poheader-doc_date, but the system ignores me. I'm sure this is the correct variable, because I use it to create other PO's without reference.
    Another thing confuses me is that if I create the PO with reference to the same PR from ME21N, the system doesn't allow me to indicate a document date lower than sy-datum.

  • Creating active directory users with dscl

    Our mac workstations (OSX 10.8) are bound to a 2008 Active Directory server.  We are attempting to use some existing dscl scripts on the mac client computer to create Active directory users.  We can successfully read and change AD attributes of an existing user with dscl, but creating new users or new attributes for an existing user gives us an error.  Here are some examples.
    SUCCESSFUL READ OF AD USER ATTRIBUTE:
    root# dscl -u administrator  "/Active Directory/CXAD/All Domains" -read /Users/jholmes SMBHomeDrive

    SMBHomeDrive: H:

    SUCCESSFUL DELETE OF ABOVE USER ATTRIBUTE

    The same error occurs when attempting to create a new user.  Any ideas?  Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

    In the end I could not find them; account info is ONLY stored locally in Open Directory when they have mobile accounts.
    However, I found I could migrate their user directories in Terminal via ditto ( I connected the old macs via Firewire Target mode) , and when they log in all their stuff and settings are there.
    the command is: ditto /Volumes/<old mac hard drive>/Users/<username> /Users/<username>
