Create BOL objects in GENIL_MODEL_BROWSER

Hi,
In IDES I found some custom BOL objects in GENIL_MODEL_BROWSER txn. In CRMV_GENIL we are just creating components and applications but not assigning any structures for BOL objects.
GENIL_MODEL_BROWSER txn from where it is picking structure for objects? Is there any place to rigister BOL Objects.
Thanks.
Raj M.

Hi Kiran,
Serach result Object is to see the query result structure and relations.

    Hi Justin,
    First of thanks for your reply, and coming to my requirement, I need to report the list of items which are there in the dynamic select statement what am getting from the DB. The select statement number of columns may vary in my example for different countries the select item columns count is different. For US its '15', for UK it may be 10 ...like so, and some of the column value might be a combination or calculation part of other table columns (The select query contains more than one table in the from clause).
    In order to execute the dynamic select statement and return the result i choose to write a function which will parse the cursor for dynamic query and then iterate the values and construct a Type Object and append it to the pipe row.
    Am relatively very new for these sort of things, welcome in case of any suggestions to make it simple (Instead of the function what i thought to work with) also a sample narrating the new procedure will be appreciated.
    Thanks in Advance,
    mallikj2.

  • Entry in CRMC_OBJECTS when creating new BOL Object??

    Hi All,
    when creating an new BOL Object, that is creating an entry in SPRO under
    Extend Model for Business Transactions with New Nodes
    the second field is called "Object Name". One must enter a value there when creating a new BOL Object.
    This field accepts entries in CRMC_OBJECTS. The problem is that I cannot make an entry in CRMC_OBJECTS since it is a SAP table.
    Does anybody know what to do to get an entry in CRMC_OBJECTS? Is there any other way to do this?
    Thanks, Johannes

    Hi!
    For maintaining CRMC_OBJECTS table you should use view CRMV_OBJECTS. (in transaction SM30).

  • Is it possible to create web services for classes and bol objects?

    i am new to crm web channel,can any one  please ,help me....
    thank u in advance,
    kiran.

    Hi Kiran,
    Here, when you are talking about classes and BOL objects together, I assume you are talking about the BOL layer for CRM. If that is the case, and you have no dependency on WCEM for these objects, I would suggest you use the NW gateway to expose Odata web services from the CRM box itself. If you would like to expose the Odata web services from WCEM, please have a look at Ch 7 Dev & Extension Guide available in help.sap.com/wec301.
    Good luck!

  • Unable to get the data when capture the BOL object infomation.

    Hello All.
    I created a Z component.
    In that component I created one View.
    In that view i have the context node with BOL object  -  BTAdminH
    In configuration also i am selecting the fields.
    But I am unable to capture the data.
    In that i write like
    data: lr_ent type ref to CL_CRM_BOL_ENTITY.
    lr_ent ?= me->typed_context->btadminh->collection_wrapper->get_current( ).
    I write this code in the EDIT button event.
    But lr_ent is not capture any value.
    BTADMINH is there in the CTXT class.
    In debugging GET_CURRENT( ) method
    me->collection_ref->collection
    is not having any value.
    I do not know why it is not having any value.
    When I am using value node it is working fine.
    But when i am using BOL object at that time only it is not getting any value.
    Can anybody give me suggision to solve this problem.
    In stadard it is working fine.
    How it is working in Stadard i did not understand.
    Why it is not working in Z component.
    How we can use BOL objets in Z components.
    Please give me some solution.
    Regards,
    B. Krishna.

    Hi krishna
    Is this a Z component to be used within a  standard component?
    ->then you need to create a usage definition to this component from standard
    ->expose btadminh as public context through component controller
    ->create binding to the standard btadminh through the usage initialize method
    then it should be okay
    If the Z component is standalone , then create Root object BTorder and BTAdminH node should having a hierarchial relationship to this. Initialize BTOrder through cl_crm_bol_core methods.

    HI Alsalfi,
    Simple Object allows only for single table. If you want to create for multiple tables, then u need to create BOL for each table and define a parent -child relationship and also its cardinality in the Simple object configuration in spro.

  • BOL object for a field

    I have a field in the UI needs to be mapped to a field of a particular table in the back-end. How can I determine which BOL object I should use. Also, what if the field is not standard.
    Thanks, Dave

    hi Dave,
    If you want to find the BOL object for a particular field, follow the steps below:-
    1 Press F2 on the field and note down Component / View / Context ndoe
    2 Open the Component / View in BSP_WD_CMPWB
    3 Goto the Context node class (...._CN01, _CN02, _CNXX)
    4 Goto the attributes tab and check the value of attribute - BASE_ENTITY_NAME
       This is the name of the BOL entity
    (In the above step, if you dont find the attribute, then navigate to its super class. You will find it there)
    If you want to find the structure for the BOL entity, then Open the same in  GENIL_MODEL_BROWSER.

  • Copy all properties from BOL Object to other, Help please

    Hello experts, Thanks for your time.
    I would like to copy all properties and object relations from BOL OBJECT To other.
    It's possible make it??
    I know to copy one by one properties with this code.
    lr_part->set_property( iv_attr_name = 'e_mailsmt' iv_value = ET_ADSMTP-E_MAIL ).
    But I would like to copy the relations and all properties.
    Could you write an example complete code??
    A lot of  Thanks

    Hi,
    I suppose by copying relations it is meant that a whole Business Object should be copied. Not just the part of BTAdminH but the PricingSet and the related Prices in there, the ItemsSet and all related entries in them and so on. Meaning a complete copy of all attributes in all objects.
    Judging from a mere technical point of view I see some problems with that:
    1. Abab does not offer a copy object method. Thus you would have to create a new object and use the SET_PROPERTIES( ) method on it.
    2. Though you will be able to do it for one object, lets say BTAdminH, it will be a huge load to do it for all related objects.
    3. Considering a piece of code that will run down the hierarchy and copy the objects for you will not work as the "hierarchy" contains circles and is not unique. For instance the BTPartnerSet on OneOrders contains various relations containing the same partners.
    In my opinion use the underlying API not the BOL to copy entries.
    cheers Carsten

  • Error while creating info object

    error while creating info object a character
    Info object may be a maximum of  000060 digits...... what would be the error?
    Thanks ALL

    Hi,
    The maximum length supported by one CHAR type infoobject is 60. Check whether you have assigned more.
    If you have to load more length ( more than 60) split the total thing into different infoobjects. Create different infoobjects and split the total thing into them - like 1st 60 char in 1st infoobject, char 61-120 in 2nd infoobject and so on. Then you can again concatenate them.
    Thanks,
    Indrashis

  • What is the diffrence between extends and creating new object?

    HI ALL,
    what is the diffrence between extends and creating new object?
    meaning
    class base{
    class derived extends base{
    class base{
    class derived {
    derived(){
    base var = new base();
    can u people tell me diffence from the above examples.
    THANKS.
    ANANDA

    When you create a new object you have to supply the class to which that
    object belongs. A class can extend from another class. If it does so
    explicitly you can define the 'parent' class from which the class extends.
    If you don't explicitly mention anything, the class will implicitly extend
    from the absolute base class named 'Object'.
    Your example is a bit convoluted: when you create a Derived object,
    its constructor creates another object, i.e. an object from the class from
    which the Derived class extends.
    Extending from a class and creating an object don't have much in common.
    kind regards,
    Jos

    drangineni, assuming you know the service requestid or externalId of the
    Sr you are dealin gwith you would first set that value.
    ServiceRequest1[] objSRList =new ServiceRequest1[1];
    objSRList[0] = new ServiceRequest1();
    objSRList[0].ServiceRequestId = <YourSRId>;
    Then you create an array of activities and initialize the first one:
    objSRList[0].ListOfActivity = new Activity[1];
    objSRList[0].ListOfActivity[0] = new Activity();
    Now set the data fields
    objSRList[0].ListOfActivity[0].Subject ="My Subject";
    objSRList[0].ListOfActivity[0].Description ="My Description";
    objSRList[0].ListOfActivity[0].Display = "Task"; //valid values are either
    "Task" or "Appointment"
    Then call the ServiceREquestInsertOrUpdate method on the ServiceRequest
    WebService and pass in the above variable.

    Ah yes, I forgot you also need to specify a unquie Id for the activity.
    It's kinda strange.
    Try adding this:
    ServiceRequest[0].ListOfActivity[ActivityLength].ActivityId = "DummyId";
    //OD will overwrite this with a real Id
    Or if you have a unquie ID for your Activities you can use:
    ServiceRequest[0].ListOfActivity[ActivityLength].ExternalSystemId = <Your
    Unique Value>;
    Hope that helps,

    Hi all,
    I have a similar problem, but mine is returning a message that field
    "Display" is required. Looking at this post and the documentation it is
    obvious that Display is a required field, but my WSDL did not include a
    field called "Display", so my proxy did not generate one.
    I tried adding a field called Display to the WSDL and the proxy class, but
    I get a different error... I figure I maybe cannot add it manually like
    that - but I think the bigger problem is it is not part of the WSDL that
    Siebel OD generates for me in my admin account.
    On top of that Display is not shown in the list of fields for Activity
    through the admin interface.. is it possible my account is bugged? Am I
    missing something simple here? BigSlick, I see you mention a .Display in
    your code sample so I thought you might understand what is wrong. Here is
    my code (I am trying to add a activity to a lead).
    Thanks for any insight into this!
    private void InsertLeadActivity(Session session, NameValueCollection data,
    string leadID)
    try
    if (blnDebug)
    Response.Write("Setting up Activity<br>";
    // instantiate the proxy service
    Activity_Service.Activity activityProxy = new Activity_Service.Activity();
    // set up the target URL
    activityProxy.Url = session.GetURL();
    activityProxy.CookieContainer = session.GetCookieContainer();
    // set up input argument
    ActivityNWS_Activity_Insert_Input input = new
    ActivityNWS_Activity_Insert_Input();
    input.ListOfActivity = new Activity1[1];
    input.ListOfActivity[0] = new Activity1();
    if (blnDebug)
    Response.Write("Getting Data<br>";
    // dg note: name value
    // input.ListOfActivity[0].MrMrs = data["MrMrs"];
    input.ListOfActivity[0].LeadId = leadID.ToString();
    input.ListOfActivity[0].Description = DataToString(data);
    input.ListOfActivity[0].Subject = "Website Submission Activity";
    input.ListOfActivity[0].Priority = "3-Low";
    //input.ListOfActivity[0].DueDate =
    DateTime.Now.AddDays(7).ToShortDateString();
    input.ListOfActivity[0].Owner = this.defaultLeadOwner;
    input.ListOfActivity[0].Type = "Call";
    //input.ListOfActivity[0].Display = "Task";
    input.ListOfActivity[0].ActivityId = "DummyId";
    input.ListOfActivity[0].ExternalSystemId = "web";
    activityProxy.Activity_Insert(input);
    catch (Exception exInsertActivity1)
    if (blnDebug)
    Response.Write("<br>Error inserting activity.<br><br>" +
    exInsertActivity1.ToString() + "<br>";

    Figured it out.. the field "Display" is also known as "Activity"........
    Here are some notes for other people.. good luck and feel free to write me
    at raskawa-at-gmail-com if you want a code sample.
    Some unpublished nice to knows for Siebel On Demand Activities....
    In summary:
    - .Activity is also known as Display in documentation and on the error
    messages coming back from the WS. Also, it appears based on these boards
    some people actually have a .Display field. Maybe different accounts
    generate different WSDL's.... buggy.
    - If a error message is thrown saying "Description is required" it really
    means "Subject is required" (make sure .Subject has a value)
    - If a error message is thrown complaining that ActionType is not right..
    that is really .Type.. make sure it's lookup value is valid for the
    dropdown values in your CRM OD system.
    My code/values that worked..
    input.ListOfActivity[0].LeadId = leadID.ToString();
    input.ListOfActivity[0].Description = DataToString(data);
    input.ListOfActivity[0].Subject = "Website Submission Activity";
    input.ListOfActivity[0].Priority = "3-Low";
    //input.ListOfActivity[0].DueDate =
    DateTime.Now.AddDays(7).ToShortDateString();
    input.ListOfActivity[0].Owner = this.defaultLeadOwner;
    input.ListOfActivity[0].Type = "Call";
    input.ListOfActivity[0].ActivityId = "DummyId";
    input.ListOfActivity[0].ExternalSystemId = "web";
    //input.ListOfActivity[0].Display = "Task"; //doesn't work
    input.ListOfActivity[0].Activity = "Task"; //does work.

    Hi,
    This is surgientweb (under my own login now..)
    Anyway, I wanted to add that I figured out that there are two ways to add
    a Activity to a Lead. Via the Lead object (by getting a ListOfActivities)
    OR by creating a Activity directly and just adding your "LeadID" to it (or
    you can also add a "ContactID" to relate the activity to a Contact.)
    Feel free to email me for a code example (raskawa....at....gmail)

    Hi Stephane,
    You can definitely read the categories using Tables in CRM. The logic is a bit complicated though.
    Use the following steps to retrieve Categories using Std. CRM Tables:
    1. Pass transaction GUID in field GUID of table CRMV_REPORT_SUBJ and get KATALOGART, CODEGRUPPE and CODE field values in lv_catalog, lv_codegrp and lv_code.
    2. Now you need to concatenate these 3 fields values carefully like this:
    CONCATENATE lv_catelog lv_codegrp '    ' lv_code into lv_category1.
    Remember there are 4 spaces between lv_codegrp and lv_code.
    3. Now pass this lv_category1 in field OBJEXT in table CRMC_ERMS_CAT_OK and get OBJGUID in field lv_objguid.
    4. Pass this lv_objguid in field OBJ_GUID and LNK_TYPE = 'IS_CODE' in table CRMC_ERMS_CAT_LN and get value of CAT_GUID in lv_cat_guid.
    5. Pass this lv_cat_guid in field CAT_GUID in table CRMC_ERMS_CAT_CA and get value of CAT_ID in field lv_cat_text.
    Remember this lv_cat_text is the text value of your last level of category of transaction.
    6. To get its upper cateogry level value, simply use table CRMC_ERMS_CAT_HI and get parent guid value and pass this as CAT_GUID again in table CRMC_ERMS_CAT_CA to get its text.
    Alternatively, you can also use class method cl_crm_ml_category_util=>get_parse_all to get all levels of categories.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks
    Vishal
