Create Business Process in SOLAR01 and SOLAR02

Hi Experts,
I have a basic doubt in SOLMAN. Can I add a sub process under main buisness process in Solar01 or Solar02 transactions?
For example, I am working in business process "Administering Employee HR Data", under that I have seven sub-processes as delivered. Here is my requirement, Can I add some more sub processes in there?

Authorization in the node level of SOLAR01 and SOLAR02

Hi All,
In my project, I have to authorize the users upto the Business process level, so that they can add/modify business process steps.
I had configured as follows
Changes in Project
Step 1:      Go to Transaction SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN
Step 2:      Open the Project with edit mode.
Step 3:      Go to "Project Team Member" tab.
Step 4:      Add Team members.
Step 5:      Check the box "Restrict changes to nodes in project to assigned team membersu201D
Changes in Authorization Object
Step 1:      Make a copy of SAP_SOLAR01_ALL role into the customer namespace and Make the following changes in the role
Step 2:      S_PROJECT
                     ACTVT = 03,23,71,76
                     Set Project ID (Name)
Step 3:      S_PROJ_GEN
                     project ID = Project ID
                     proj_func = SCEN
Step 4:      S_DATASET
                     actvt = 33,34
Step 5:      S_IWB
                     ACTVT = 01,02,03,33,6,80,D1,V1
                     IWB_AREA = IWBSOLAR
                     IWB_EXTNSN = /KWCUST/
                     IWB_FLDGRP = Project ID
Step 6:      AI_SA_TAB
                     Remove PRODATA from TABNAME
Now the users are assigned to the Business process in the Administration tab of SOLAR01.
They are able to add the Business Process steps.
Now the same users of the same process have to access the business process steps of SOLAR02, but administration tab of SOLAR01 and SOLAR02 are different so that, if a new process step has been added in SOLAR01, the user has to be manually added to the administration tab of process step in SOLAR02.
Is there any chance of providing the same level of authorization in Adminstration tab of SOLAR01 and SOLAR02 automatically (like synchronizing)?

Hi,
As far as I know, there is no standard way to copy automatically the users assigned in the administration tab for a node in solar01 to the same node in solar02. I think the only automatic copy working as standard is the one that copy the users to the subnode.

What is a Business Process Expert? and Business Analyst?

In response to Sinem Dorter's very interesting and informative blog about Composite Analytics at Whirpool, I'd like to ask how people would really define what is going on there.
Are modelers of composite applications business analysts? Business process experts? Application specialists? All of the above? None of the above?
What unique skills are required to distinguish, say, a business analyst from a business process expert?
And can a business process expert be a team of people: maybe an enterprise analyst, a business process expert and an IT application specialist?
I'm curious to read responses.

relevant are the tables TPR_INDEX, TTREE and TTREET!
Nodeids are in table TPR_INDEX.
TPR_INDEX-REFNODE_ID joins with TTREE-NODE_ID
TTREE-ID joins with TTREET-ID, where you will find the text of the node.

Hi Prosper,
You need to configure lot of settings, prior to Business Event, because one BE is based on various elements like Location, Attendee type, Instructor, Fees, Resources, Time Schedule, Services, BE type, BE Group.
After configuring all these for BE type, you need to create a BE for the BE type. Then, you can go for day to day activities like Booking, Pre Booking, Cancellation.

Hi,
Both business publisher and process repository are available in CD2 of BPA Suite complete (for windows OS).
Important step before installing the business process repository is that you must have installed the database. Or else you must have installed BPA with OracleLite or XE database. At the time Business process repository installation you need to choose the database option 1 if Oracle enterprise data base is installed, else you may choose option 2 which says you already have BPA installed with database.

MS Office integration for Tx. solar01 and solar02

Hi!
I have tested the MS Office integration via sa38. It seems to work.
BUT: I cannot open and edit any MS Office documents via Tr. solar01 and solar02.
I have applied different roles to the current user (e.g SAP_SOL_ROCOML).
But it is not possible to edit MS Office document.
According "Configuration Guide" it should either MS Office 2000 or 2002.
I have installed MS Office 2003.
Do this play some role?
Can some give any useful information?

Yes, also the word settings are ok
I guess I have not protect the document.
You mean: MS WORD (DE): Extras (Menu) --> Optionen (Options) --> Sicherheit (Security) --> Dokument schützen (Protect document)
I think it should be a problem on the SAP level (authorizations or settings)
It would be great to get the solution. I am waiting for the answer for two days here.

just choose the Business Process on the left and click the structure tab
here it will list all the business scenario names you have added just directly edit or write it whatever you want
if you want to do at lower level
choose the business process node of that Business scenario under this you get all the business process in structure tab
here also edit it or directly write it

Business Process Engine Error and Adapor Monitor JPR error in PI 7.0 Server

Hello,
I have installed PI7.0 Server on windows server. When I use SXMB_IFR tcode I got RWB screen and RWB Business Process Engine is in red. though I have configured automatic workflow customizing through SWF_XI_CUSTOMIZING tcode. Still i am getting BPE is showing Red.
The Second Error :
Adaptor Monitor area also I am getting JPR is in Red .
Could some one please help me what to done on my PI server and how to fix?

Can any please explain the integration business process between Project systems (PS) and customer service (CS).
Business Process: We do machinery Erection or commissioning, later we do provide service warranty for one year.
How we map this Business scenario in sap.

basic steps for such a process would be
1) Use PS functionality for your machinery erection or commisioning work. Once the physical work is completed then close porject
2) Use CS functionality for warranty and service - set up the work as a functional location on customer site (PM/CS functionality)
3) Use service order to manage any service calls on the object which could require billing via SD module - bill value may be zero if under warranty

Abap to mass create business scenarios, business process, and process steps

HI,
Really struggling to figure out how to mass create "folders" in the business blue print structure. Periodically we will need to add in a new business scenario with everythign associated with it. the business has already written up all the information in excel sheets and we would like to avoid having to manually enter this data every time.. These scenarios and process etc are project specifc.
Has anyone done this before? I have been playing with SOLAR_STRUCTURE_CREATE and while i can see the lines being added into table, i can't get anything to appear after wards in SOLAR01.
Any and all help greatly appreciated

Business process and sub process in CUP & ERM

Hi,
We have created Business Processes and Sub- Processes in ERM. But we are not able to view the same when we create a request in CUP.
We have created the Business Processes and Sub- Processes for CUP in Roles -Attributes.These were then visible in the request.
Do we need to create the Processes and Sub-processes independently in both ERM and CUP or should it flow into CUP when roles are imported into CUP from ERM ?

Another important point:
In CUP, Sub Processes are optional, in ERM they are mandatory.
Please make sure you have some in CUP for all your processes.

Business process procdures ( normally called as BPP) are one which explain users how to perform a transaction or a series of transaction for carry out a business acitvity ( Like creating a PR, converting PR and releasing it).
Business procedure Master list ( called BPML ) is done in the begining of the project to define the scope and cover all the processes that the project will be covering . You will track all the deliverables on the project based on the BPML ( It will contain process and sub process descriptions )
Example : Order to cash --> Book order, Acknowledge order, Amend order, Ship , Bill, returns etc..)
Hope this should give you an idea. For details refer to implementation methodlogies ( like ASAP) .
