How can we create character in COPA? Comapny has two warehouse in US and manufacturing in France?

KEA5 will create characteristics. KEA6 will create value fields. You will then retransport you operating concern and regenerate in KEA0. This will need done when the system is in low activity.

I construct a failover cluster(file server,AP module) for sharing files by WSS 2012,and I want to use the shadow copies to backup my data,but when making a shadow copies on the volume which is added to the cluster(not the CSV,just add

but the only diffrence is that, a shadow copy time point is created, also ,you can make the shadow copies by click " create now", that is creating the shadow copies manually. Although it can succesfully make the shadow copies, but when I select
a time point to revert, error occured, "A volume that contains operating system files or resides on a cluster shared disk cannot be reverted"
In a word,all the errors above make the shadow copies by schedulling failed,except making the shadow copies manually,but what makes me confused is that I have ever maked the shadow copies succesfully by schedul a policy,I don't know what makes it succesful,
it's small probability, most of time ,it's failed.No matter what kind of situation, revert must be failed.

Please check the following 2 places:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Cluster\Tasks
C:\Windows\System32\Tasks
First please compare permission settings of the folder C:\Windows\System32\Tasks with a working computer. Correct permission settings if anything wrong. Specifically, confirm you current account do have permission on this folder.
As it said "object already exists", find the schedules you created before, backup and delete all these schedules in both registry key and folder.
Then test to create a new schedule to see if issue still exists.
Meanwhile what kind of storage device you are using? The issue could occur on specific storage device, so test to enable shadow copy on a local disk to see if that will work.

Thank you for you reply.On the local volume,all of these errors will not occur, but the volume in the file server cluser.There is no value in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Cluster\Tasks. On local volume, everything goes well about the shadow copy, so I do not
think something is wrong about the permission settings of the folder C:\Windows\System32\Tasks.Storage device is a SAN,we use RAID6 and provide the LUNs to the NAS engine, and the make the volume on these LUNs, Is Angthing wrong? Hope for you

Create several virtual copies at once. Looking for a workflow of exporting 650 photo's in two versions

Hello,
i have photographed a wedding and i have 650 finished photo's. All came from a 5Dm3 of 5Dm2. All are in raw. The color versions are ready. I have created a preset to convert all 650 edited version to B/W. The key is i will not edit the curve and other light and contrast sliders because, and cropping for that sense since these are all done already. So to make it more simple, i need to silver 650 photo;s in color and B/W. The color versions are done.
I am looking at three workflows:
1 create virtual copies of the 650 photo's, filter them out, apply the b/w preset/ make some small tweakes and export the B/W version
2 export the color version to a 16 bit tiff, import those and the apply the b/w preset/ make some small tweakes and export the B/W version
3 make an extra copy of the lightroom library and then apply the b/w preset/ make some small tweakes and export the B/W version
In option one i do not know how to create 650 virtual copies at once. It seems i can do this only one photo at a time which is to time consuming
In option 2 this is an extra batch and consuming me much more hard disk space
in option three this is workable but i rather stick to one library
Any help in this?

Go to the library module, grid view. Highlight all your images and create a new collection. One of the options when you create the new collection is to make new virtual copies. The collection will consist of virtual copies of all your original files. Then, just work with the collection and create your black-and-white images. The virtual copies can be exported just like the regular images. So you can export color and black-and-white versions.

Creating character variable with dynamic length

Hello Experts,
I need to send contents of an internal table via FTP in character mode,
the entire contents of a internal table is concatenated in a string(v_string) which needs to be moved to the character variable of same size say l_count = strlen( v_string ).
can anyone help me to define the character variable say of length l_count.
I have already tried creating a dynamic character variable using CREATE DATA.
eg DATA: dref TYPE REF TO DATA.
CREATE DATA dref TYPE c LENGTH l_count.
but this is not working.
Any response will be helpful.

Reason i need character variable of dynamic length is because the requirement is to send data to client's Windows terminal . We already have FTP code in place and suddenly client has asked to send us data of an internal table in a single line.
I have concatenated the entire table into a string and then thought of moving the entire data from string to that character.. as the size in character goes beyond 60000 characters in many cases....
It seems this is not possible as the string cannot be converted to the data type of variable newly declared.

Don´t create the transport copies when the change goes to test

Hi all,
I am using Solman 7.1 SP8. I am in step of the test og the ChaRM.
The scenario is:
- maintenance project;
- normal change;
ERROR : when I put the change to "pass Normal Change to Test", showed a follow messages:
And the didn´t change of the status of the Normal Change.
And the didn´t create of the transport copies.

Logic to create multiple numbered copies of a page?

I have compiled a report that I need to create unique numbered instances of a page based on a number of units for different vendors, and I'm trying to automate the process. I use a parameter field to tell the report to determine the number of units that necessitate an additional copy of the report. For instance, if I enter a parameter of 10 and there are 50 units, I need to get 5 copies of the report; if there are 175 units, I need 18, and so on.
I'm trying to use a do while loop where I increment the page count lower each time a page is printed, but I can't figure out exactly how to pull it off..... Here's what I've got:

Total reports is the total number of pages I need for an individual report. There may be hundreds of individual reports for which I need to go through this duplication process.....
Of course, the formula as written only counts down to 1 and prints "1" into a single instance of a report, but that is where I'm hung up - how can I get it to start with number 18 and count down to number 1, and to then move on to the next unique report?

This returns a 1 for all instances in the test report I'm using.
I didn't use the Roundup methodology because I need each instance of the report to return the value of units associated with the individual page/instance.
For example, if there are 238 units of a product, and the parameter entry denotes a split of 25, then I need it to create 9 reports, each noting that it covers 25 units (9*25=225) and one report noting that it covers 13 units (238-225=13). The mathematical end of things is pretty tidy, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to get it to print the "25" nine times and "13" once..... I need it to print to the page prior to going into the loop each time:

In OBBH i cannot find a destination field for copa value fields. The destination fields are always from SAP standard tables like BKPF and so on.

The naming convention for BI objects are as below:
For Standard BI objects : /BI0/OI<name of the characteristic>
For Custom BI objects : /BIC/OI<name of the characteristic>

How can I create ACCT_BUDAT into COPA account based data source?

hi Friends,
I create a COPA data source use standard BI function: KEB0 and find that the posting data(ACCT_BUDAT ) can not include into it.
I checked the table CE4xxxx_acct and find that it has already in it, however when I check tcode KEQ3 I found that this field is not in the list.
So can anybody tell me the reason and advice? the posting data is important for the report. Also if possible, may I include the COPA document number into the COPA account based datasource?

   The posting date BUDAT is not a characteristic ; its just a technical field.
   There is a logical reason for this
The CE4XXXX table basically holds a unique PA segment no for a unique combination of characteristics. For example let us say you have only 2 characteristics customer and product. Then let us say for customer 1 and product 1 you have PA no 1; for customer 2 and product 2 PA no 2 and so on. Every time you post a document with customer 1 and product 1 the same PA no 1 will be reused i.e. no new entry will be made to CE4XXXX.
   Now if you were to introduce a new characteristic called date in this table then every time the date changes a new PA no will have to be generated and the entries in CE4 table will grow. This will make reporting more difficult and will also cause performance problems.

Creating Tables for COPA ( Non standard)

Dear SAP Gurus,
Pls adivse what is the easiest way to create non-standard tables for COPA ??
In addition to CE1XXXX; CE2XXXX; CE3XXXX; CE4XXXX & also COEP; COEJ; COSS; COSP; We need to create additional tables to store the data and then perform certain calcuations before taking forward to COPA reports.

I don't think that CO-PA allows you to create non-SAP CO-PA tables. Not sure what you are trying to do. The tables used by CO-PA are standard and they will be automatically generated based on the configuration of the operating concern. I guess, you could create non-SAP tables but not aware of any functionality that will populate those tables unless you create some program code to fill them with data. You can add deriviation rules to derive charateristics from other charateristic but that is standard functionality that can be configured within standard CO-PA.

Try to create custom t-code for KE30report using transaction with Variant.
go to t-code SHD0 and create a transaction variant for the t-code KE30..
and next go to se93> select transaction with Variant> enter transaction and transaction variant and
-->save and activate..

CHARM cannot create transport of copies for BW transport

Hello Colleagues,
I am facing a problem using CHARM with BW system:
I create Request for Change --> Normal Change --> Transport request
then BW developer uses a task in my transport (takes the task under her name) and attaches several BW objects.
At that time objects in the task are locked.
Then Developer releases the task. At which point the objects are unlocked in the Task, but got instead locked in the transport header.
I am trying to "Pass NC to Test", but facing error: TOC is created but cannot be released because of locked objects.
Releasing created TOC manually gives me the same error.
Is there a solution to this issue?

Yes, OSS message came back with recommendation to apply note 1816332 in BW DEV system, after which TOC got created and released with no issues.

Page size problem while creating character mode report

Hi All,
I've designed a report in character based layout design. The report needs to be loaded into NOTEPAD and then EXCEL sheet. I need maximum page width for this report. I kept page size of width 23" in layout design and pulled the fields so that to get maximum room. When I run the report and load it into NOTEPAD, I don't see the page width, meaning that it gives me normal 140 column size which is of course not what want.
Please can someone provide some assistance in this scnario.

The character mode and bitmapped page sizes are different, and independant of each other.
For character mode you need to set the width in the following places:
1) In the appropriate layout section property palette (assuming you're on 6.0 or above).
2) In the .prt file that you're referencing in desformat to produce the output.
If you set the width in both these places to the size you want you should be okay.
Alternatively, you may want to look at the delimited format to generate output for spreadsheets.

osx 10.6.7 is creating a duplicate archive copy of any file?
For example i click on hold option on keyboard then let go on desktop it would normaly make a second copy but this time it is makeing a third copy but as an archive type that includes a black arrow along side the third new copy?
how or where can i turn that feature off or disable that archive third copy setting....

Apply Clear Overrides after creating such character styles...

Hi everyone,
After importing the Word document into InDesign CS3 in some of the paragraphs there is some style overrides. The InDesign styles formatting are not intented with the paragraphs properly. Eventhough the word styles are mapped with InDesign styles exactly. If i select all the paragrahs and click the option "Clear Overrides" from the paragraph styles palette, all the InDesign styles formatting are applied properly but the character style formatting get removed. So i have planned to create script to character style for each font style and each formatting of the characters. After doing this i can clear the overrides of paragraph styles without hassle. I have created the script to create character styles for character formatting and its working fine but when i tried to run this script for 2nd time in the same document it showing some error in it. Please find my script below and it is too big,

The reason for that error is easy.

means "if the style does not exist, create it and assign it to the variable". What happens when it does exist? (I'll let you think of an answer here.)
Why don't overrides work? Well, let me ask you, does it work when you do the same directly in the program? No: to clear overrides, replace a style with itself. Does that mean you should run the script twice? Well, no, a brief search through the CS3 JS help reveals this tantalizing function (for any text type element):

The script appears a bit Frankensteinian to me. That function setupFindText is never used; you use two different ways of clearing the find and change preferences ('null' and 'nothing' -- I believe there were some strong points against using 'null', but, anyway, you only need to set them to nothing once).
Notice it doesn't take heed of combinations of a type style and superior/inferior -- the latter will overwrite the former.
The usual way of speeding up a script is by putting repeated elements into an array, but I doubt this will help much here. On the other hand, it's just a handful of replaces, and it should be very fast already. Even if it takes as much as 30 seconds, it's still worth that time.
