Create clickable and scrollable timeline with muse?

Sometimes I see these amazing timelines on websites.

Because I want to show the study program of my students, I will make a website this weekend. I hope it is possible to use a tool to create such a timeline as you can find in this link.
is this possible with muse?

I have created a banner that is currently being used at www.bandg.co.uk
I have been asked if it is possible to add a video to this banner.
However, the problem I have is with the banner having mlutiple slides.

Creating black and white charts with patterns in Pages?

Hi. Does anyone know how to create black and white patterned charts in Pages (or other iWork application)? When making Charts in Pages (i have the most recent version), you can make all sorts of colored charts (bar charts, histograms, pie charts, etc.), but in preparing doumnets for publication i need all my charts in black & white. I can make histograms and bar charts using different shades of grey no problem, but i'd like to create histograms using black and white "patterns" like dots, horizontal lines, stripes, etc. Does anyone have any idea how to do this, or know where existing patterns can be downloaded for import into Pages?

Don't export it as a .jpeg which is unsuitable for B&W images, blurring them as rgb files (not B&W).
Better is .tiff (compressed B&W tiff are tiny) or 1 bit .gif.
It is also possible that .pdf vector files might work but I haven't experimented with those.

This is very retro lo-tech with unattractive results, which is why I guess Apple hasn't bothered with them.

How can I create public AND private access with a wireless VPN router?

I am thinking about getting one of the new pre-n wireless routers that has a builtin VPN. I will need to have a private net for my office and a public net for my customers. On the private side- my employees will need to access all network resources and servers etc. On the public side, my customers just need to get to the Internet and maybe print on that side too.
Both sides will be DHCP.
Can I set this up with 1 device ro do I need 2? How can I do this? Any help is greatlu appreciated.

The only safe way to do this is to creat user groups On your server and give specific assess to the users who log into the network.
Using a single router , bifurcating a public from a private network is not possible.You will not be able to use the VPN since the users hav e to be connected to the VPN to log into your network.

Creating a "ribbon" style menu with Muse?

Is it possible to do a scrolling thumbnail "ribbon" in Muse? I'm trying to achieve the effect of having a small window that has several thumbnails in it that the user can scroll through to change the target. If not, how do we get that as a requested feature for Muse? It would be insanely useful, and I know a lot of other users would want to use something similar.

I understand that I can tooltip over them, but what I'm looking for is something that will allow me to do something like this example on the main page for Lionsgate.com. The functionality I want is to be able to present the player with a menu of thumbnail buttons which will change a main display, very much like what you illustrated above. What is different, however, is that I want the user to be able to SCROLL a list of thumbnails which are contained within a menu window. In this way, if I wanted to have links to twenty or fifty or a hundred buttons/thumbnails, I can present the player with only a few at a time without completely cluttering the interface. They can use arrow keys to scroll up or down through the available thumbnails. It's a very common interface, and Apple uses the ribbon idea as part of their main interface.
Long story short, is it possible to replicate this with existing Muse widgets, or does someone know of a not-too crazy way to do this?

I've been searching for any workspace bar(dzen2?) for xmonad in which i can click the workspaces or scroll through them with no luck. If any of you have such a script or config please paste it here.

That is doable with dzen2 and xdotool.
In dzen2 you can define keybinds for the whole window and for areas of the window. Combine that with xdotool for workspace navigation keybinds and it should give you what you want.

After working with the accordion panels I've found it's about 1,000 times easier to develop your content outside the panels: selections inside of the panels is wonky at best.

We are using SAP WM functionality. Client is using scanning device for scanning a bar code. Can I integrate scanning with SAP WM to create TO and confirm TO with RFC? We do not want to use RF transaction/SAP RF configuration. Is it possible to call RFC with scanning? If yes how?

With my understanding .....For any pick in WM with RF, will be using the functional module "L_to_confirm" for confirmation of picking. In general WH worker scans first the TO bar code/Ship bar code/any bar code that directs him to go to the bin location with the RFGUN based on his que and use to scan the bin location verification bar code and make sure that that is the right location and picks the qty's that shows in the TO and then confirms immediately.
Now coming to your process you said in the last reply that "TO is already created and worker reaches the place and scan barcode". This is a standard way of doing pick with RF. You said once "he reached the place" it means he should know by scanning pick lable or reading pick sheet a person goes to the location and then you said scan the bar code i.e bin verification barcode and then he confirms the pick. If i understand some thing else.. i don't know... only i know is you need to have a Zprogram thriugh config the RF menu Tcode and that RF screen program will guide you to confirm the TO with GUN.

I am trying to create parameter and control file with following command
in SQLPLUS
create pfile='/u03/oradata/WEBDB/backup/initWEBDB.ora' from spfile;
In RMAN
copy current controlfile to '/u03/oradata/WEBDB/backup/cf_longterm.cpy';
how can I put date at the end of filename like
initWEBDB8jan06.ora and cf_longterm8jan06.cpy

ASM is reliable but a smart DBA is very careful. If ASM is doing mirroring this is like RAID doing mirroring. What happens if you accidentally delete one copy ... the other one disappears instantly. Not a good idea.
With respect to redo logs you need a minimum of three groups, two members, and one thread per instance. So a 2 node cluster should, at a minimum have 12 physical files.
Not mirroring the redo logs, assuming multiple members, is not as critical.

WinPE and FullOS Issues with Disk Numbers

So, I seem to have run into an issue where I'm trying to image up an HP Z15 laptop and it has dual HDD's in
it. While imaging it seems to just die after it boots into the full OS and try's to configure the SCCM Client. I've narrowed down the issue to the secondary HDD causing the issue. The Main drive is a SSD that's 256GB, and the additional drive in the
DVD-Rom Bay is a 750 GB drive.
When booting into WinPE Disk 0 is the SSD and Disk 1 is the 750GB. I can partition these
up just fine in PE, but when it flips to the full OS, the drive numbers change, and then the 750 GB drive where the _SMSTASKSequence folder is located is no longer accessible until it's assigned a driver letter. I was able to look in WinPE and the driver are
created correctly and look correct with drive letters and all, but once that reboot happens I was reading the PNP takes over and decides whatever it wants each disk number to be.
I know someone will say something about the drivers, I've checked those and downloaded the latest drivers from
HP for this model and nothing has changed. I've also seen where some have suggested that it's best to partition and format the main drive, then wait until in the full OS to format and partition the other drive but I need to find a way to find out which drive
# isn't formatted so that I can automate this. Part of the main issue with this whole thing is the fact that the encryption software we are using doesn't allow for a drive to be partitioned and formatted after it's installed. I'm able to image the system
up fine if I disable the secondary HDD and then just format it when the image is complete.
Any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated.

Where were you reading this from? Logs? Is there any information in smsts.log?

If you reboot the computer after you assign a drive letter, does the disk still have a drive letter? If that is the case, you could try to add a startup diskpart script to assign a drive letter.

Configuring an online shop / payment system with Muse / BC

I am trying to configure an online shop and integrate it with a Muse site.
I am going to try and keep this short and to the point. The client sells therapy, hour slots of either Acupuncture, Chiropractor, Holistic medicine etc, they want the following system on their site.
Customers browse available therapies on a website > They select date > they select a time slot > they pay for a booking.
At first I looked at the events booking system with BC, but this didn’t work, I couldn’t work out how to configure the events booking module to have time slots. Plus a Calendar / date picker is useless as the individual therapists work very specific hours / days from month to month.
There is third party time slot booking software, but it’s very price, and only a few offer free trial (I need to see how it will integrate with a Muse site first).
Then I though SHOPPING CART!!! For instance the variables I have can easily be interchanged, for size / colour etc.
For example:
CATALOG: List of various therapies
PRODUCT: Acupuncture (for example)
ATTRIBUTE: February 28th (example)
OPTION: Drop down time slots available - 9am - 10am
PAYMENT!
I tried to configure this with BC at first (I’ve never used it) and at first I found it a little complex. Then I found Ecwid, they are brilliant, you sign up for a free account, you build the shop online then Ecwid generates the code and you simply copy and embed it within Muse. Its beautiful. Sadly to be able to use the product variation (different times slots ensuring only one is in stock) you need to upgrade to a Business account, with is quite expensive.
So I have gone back to BC. I am slowly making progress, setting up the shop and integrating it with Muse, but I’m new to BC and my progress is slow. As much as I see the value and validity in learning BC I am faced with derogatory comments on the BC forum. I’ll be honest I have tried to ask advice a couple of times with BC or with reference to it, and it’s as if as soon you mention you use MUSE it is assumed you must be an idiot. One comment referred to us as the “Muse generation - point and click”. I am learning BC, I’ve been on it two weeks, I am getting there, but the client is paying peanuts for this site (I should have re-negotiated) and MOST IMPORTANTLY I am also beginning to think that the clients are going to struggle using the BC interface to populate their product list.
To summise:
I need an online ‘plug and play’ shopping cart for a Muse website, that my client can understand? They will be frightened by BC
Can anyone recommend a solution that can be configured as above?
BTW: Just becuase I work with Muse, I'm still allowed to play with the Big boys toys ;-)

I did and I didn't. I gave up on BC as I really didn't think the client would be able to cope with the administration of it. But I did find a great plug in system called Booking Bug. You do have to pay a subscription for it (but there is a free trial), but it's a simple product, effective too. You build it online, it generates the html code for you and you jsut insert it in the relevant position on the relevant page.
I do believe that as a designer who enjoys working with Muse, it's worth getting to know Business Catalyst inside out. Muse lacks some powerful tools that some of the other systems (Wordpress etc) seem to benefit from. However it's all there in BC, it's just going to take me sometime to get to know it.
But I can recommend Booking Bug.

You didn't mention what error(s) you've encountered? A workaround for the most commonly hit problem is here Re: error in Muse : Object UID:U6875 has two (or more) owners: U3633 and U3165
If you have a copy of your .muse file that has not been saved using 2014.3, you can downgrade by uninstalling Muse and then choose Previous Version in the Filters drop down in the Apps panel of the Creative Cloud desktop app. There will be a popup next to Muse where you can select a prior version to install.

Also, I created the forms with Muse and apparently they are connected to the URL, so will they no longer work? Or do I have to republish them? The system url will still remain when pushing live and adding your own domain. The site will naturally reflect your added domain once added however you can always access the site uisng the system URLs.
The form will naturally reflect your added custom domain and will still work under the system URL.
