Create Credit Memo referenced to Billing Document - Condition Types

Hello,
I need help on this particular situation, your help would be greatly appriciated.
I try to create a Credit Memo(VA01) with reference to the Billing Document, but I don't want to see on my Credit Memo a particular Condition Type from the Billing Document. Configuration solution or ABAP solution? and how?
What the system does now is, it copies all the Condition Types from the Billing Document to the newly created Credit Memo.
Thank you all

Hi,
Create a new pricing procedure without the condition type you donot wish to appear in the credit note. create/ use a different document pricing procedure for the credit note, do the required assignments.. this will meet the requirements

  • Creating a credit memo by referring Billing document

    Hi All,
I am creating a Credit memo Say <b>CM</b> by reffering a Billing document say <b>B</b>.The Billing document has been created from a Contract say <b>C</b>.
Now while creating the CM the contract dates need to be copied from C to the contract data screen of CM.
I have used <b>Copying control Billing Document to Sales Document</b> for achieving this.
I have edited the VEDA(Contract data) in the routines 302,303,402 etc. but its not reflecting in Contract data of CM screen.
Please help me in resolving this.

  • Tax Code in Billing Document Condition Type

    Hi Experts,
We have found a below issue in our system, could you please guide me if you have any inputs:
    Case1:
When a Billing document is generate for a condition type ZABC ( Discount Condition Type) which is manually entered in the order ,it  has the tax code populated.
This can be seen in the condition type display in Billing document and in the accounting document generated.
I have not maintained any condition record for this condition type.
    Case 2:
I have a similar condition type Z123 ( again Discount condition type) though for a different pricing procedure but for this
tax code is not populated. No condition record is maintained for this too, it is manually entered.
It can not bee seen against this condition type in Accounting document.
I have compared and check if there is any routine and also the properties of both the condition types.
Also  i have checked the copy control.
When I debug it , I see that tax code is fetched from KOMV table.
    My Questions:
Is KOMV table updated even if the condition type is entered manually?
From where does the tax code appear in Billing document for a condition type?
Please help me or guide me where to check on this.
    Thanks for your help.
    Regards,
    Venkat

Hi Venkata, the tax code you see here comes from the FI setting in OB40..
however, it depends on transaction in OB40. This is what I know..it's more of an FI concept.
Can you just check if the Z123 is marked as statistical ?

  • Create Credit Memo with Reference to Multiple Documents

Hi.  I have the challenge of Creating a Credit Memo via VA01 referencing Multiple Billing Documents.  Anyone know any tricks to be able to reference Multiple Billing Documents in batch?

    Hi Kamlesh,
I think except for the Sold-to-party (which ensures same account assignment group, ur 5th point) all other can be modified in VA01. From the Billing Date of Ref Inv it takes the "pricing date" if they are different then "invoice splitting" happens for the credit / Debit memo request. Similar thing happen in case of different "terms of payment", "Inco Term" etc.

  • Error while creating Credit Memo Request for Milestone billing invoice

    Hi All,
I have a scenario where i have Milestone billing(% based) at header level in Contracts. I create Invoice for that and then try to create Credit Memo Request with reference to the Invoice.
Problem comes when we try to change the qty in the credit memo request. we are able to change the qty but the value is not changing. It remains the same constant value of that milestone.
In my copy control from Invoice to Credit memo request for the item category i have maintained the pricing type as "C" because i want to copy and manual conditions.
So kindly let me know which config setting should be done so that whenever i change the qty the value should also be changed.
Please Note : This is happening only when my billing plan is at header level. For Billing plan at Item level its working fine.....
    Thanks.....

    Hiiii.....
Can anyone please advise on the below issue of mine.....
Thanks alot for the help.......in advance

  • Billing Status C in Sales Ord not getting reversed on creating Credit Memo?

    Dear SD Guru's
I have a small query, i have such a scenario.
I create sales order for a saleable service material from (01.02.08 to 29.02.08) through order type (ZOOH)
Raise invoice in advance for 30 days on 01.02.08 through billing type (ZOIN) say 100 rupees.
Now on 15th client says he doesnt want the service and i issue a credit memo request (ZOCR) against my invoice type (ZOIN) and change the contract dates from 16.02.08 to 29.02.08 for value 50 rupees.
Now i create credit memo (ZOCM) for 16.02.08 to 29.02.08.
Now once i do that i want the billing status to be reversed in my original document (ZOOH) for period 16.02.08 to 29.02.08
    How can we achieve this?
Please its urgent. Points will be suitably rewarded
    Regards
    Ravi

    Hi Krishna,
Your inputs have been valuable, but could you please tell me why doesnt it automatically edit the billing plan row against which i have raised my credit memo. I have to go and do it manually in my original sales document and edit the period.
    Cant it happen automatically?
    Kind Regards

  • Credit memo referencing

    Hi Gurus,
I know that cr memo can be created with reference to a Billing doc or a cr memo request which reference either a billing doc or an order.
What i am unclear is the way of describing the referencing.
    Cases:
    1. Cr memo creation with reference to a billing doc : in this case, the billing doc is the reference doc.
    2. Cr memo creation with reference to a cr memo request : in this case, what is the right way to describe it?
    Is it :
Cr memo creation with reference to a cr memo request : in this case, a cr memo can be referenced to a Sales document or to a billing document. But the sales doc and billing docs are before the cr memo request.
    OR
Cr memo creation with reference to a cr memo request : in this case, a cr memo can be referenced to a cr memo request which is a sales doc type. Which means we can also say a cr memo can be referenced to a sales doc (cr memo request).
So, my doubt is , when describing which is the reference doc, can i confirm that it is always talking about the immediate preceding doc  and not preceding docs earlier than that?
Last but not least, in a Returns scenario,  cr memo is created with reference to the Returns order although there is a delivery doc created .  In this case, I can say that cr memo is created with reference to an order that is the returns order.
    Please advise.
    Regards
    M Russo

    Dear Russo
Firstly, we need to be very clear about 'returns' & 'reversals' entries/postings.
Then, we can map however we want  in the copy control settings & do the relavant postings.
Returns order is created when  a customer RETURNS the goods for whatsoever reasons.
This follow with Returns delivery, PGR (post goods receipt) & returns invoice.
The best practice is to create credit memo request wrt original commercial invoice.
Then create credit memo wrf this credit memo request.
    Reversals is different.
meaning, literally 'reversing' the postings, entries, movements, etctc....
    Hope I made things clear.

  • Creating credit memo request - V1 498 / missing order quantity

    Hi Experts,
could any of You pls help me with a credit memo creation issue?
I credit memo needed to be created based on invoice, so configuration  and copy control is done as usual, but I have a failure during CR order creation referring to an invoice F2.
I got an error message: V1 498 - Credit  already exist for item... - and no qty is transferred to new document
I have gone thought the threads on Forum, but none of the suggested solution was appropriate to solve the issue:
    - the document flow is updated in copy control ,
    - I can no remove the schedule line flag at VOV7 - the order qty will be missed but target qty is used, and end up incompletition (VU 019 error messge), so billing is faile
    - completition control set as B at VOV7,
    Still have the problem
Could any of You pls help me - answers will be appreciated.

V1 498 - Credit already exist for item...
What the above message means is that lines items have already been used as reference for the creation of credit memo request(s).
Create a new sales order, delivery and billing document. Then create credit memo request with reference to this new billing document and test.
In VTAF copy control, at item level, field "Pos./neg. quantity" dictates how the quantity in the source document is affected by copy control.
PS - I tried to create credit memo with reference to billing document (F2), there were no issues there. Therefore I am taking that the issue is with credit memo request (copied with ref to billing document F2)

    Thanks Krishna,
Thanks for the solution. Find below the steps which i follow:-
Go to Tcode VA02, Use the sale order reference and execute. From top menu bar, click on "Goto -- Header -- Status. Then again click on "Object Status" and when check I find that lock is there:- A radio button checked at -- 10 LKD Locked and change it to

this is the standard business process
the credit memo should not created until the higher authority approve the credit request, because the money goes out of the company, so some higher authority has to approve.

  • Credit Memo from Retro Billing

    Hello Gurus!!
    Can anyone please help me
    Scenario:
I have created a credit memo from retro-billing due to price drop, and released the credit memo to accounting.
    Problem:
When we look at the accounting document of the credit memo it doesn't have a controlling document and profitability analysis.
I have simulated the document at KE4ST, and here is the error message I got
Document is not profit-related and thus could not be transferred
    Message no. KF755
    Diagnosis
Sales document was not transferred to Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) because it is not relevant for the analyses in CO-PA. This can be due to one of the following reasons (among others):
The document type is not profit-related, such as an inquiry
The sales document shows zero for the quantity
The sales document has been denied
The sales document is locked due to credit reasons
Please anyone give me an idea on how can I resolve this..
    Thank You!!!!
