Create custom transation with start variant

Hi All,
I'm trying to create one custom transaction for a Report and it should start with Variant .
For this in SE93 we will give transaction code, program name and there is option called 'start with variant' but in this screen I could not able to see the variant I have created for this program . If I check any sap standard program I can able to see all the variants in this screen. Can any one help me out in this regard.

Following are the setps for creating variant, attaching it to the target transaction & making available for all the users -
1. Transaction SHD0 - Create a variant for the required transaction by changing the layout through hiding fields and screens.
2. Transaction SE93 - Create a variant transaction (e.g. for VA02 = ZVA02). Next allocate the transaction variant to this variant transaction.
In 4.6c, you can default your transaction variant as the standard variant. (SHD0 - Edit -> Activate/Deactivate as standard variant)

Hi,
I have a problem (on Sun Solaris 5.8) when I create custom document with more than 10MB size.
I've created an agent which detects the events on a custom data type
MYDOCUMENT (extension .mydoc).
When I put a new document test1.mydoc (size of 10MB for example), my agent detects the new document, creates a copy, sets the class object to
MYDOCUMENT , removes the original document and puts the copy into the same folder.
But sometimes, the copy created has a wrong size (less then 10MB).
How can I configure the nfs server to be sure that the agent waits for the complete size of the added document.

Creating custom reports with Pie Chart

Hello,
I've got a little problem while I'm creating custom reports with SQL Chart.
For example, I want to have a Pie Chart that represent the distribution of the version for a software, i wrote my query with no problem, the result is in good format.
My Pie Chart is fine except there are no percentage displayed. The legend on the right is fine with correct count of different version, but no percentage on the pie chart.
Any idea?

well, I think this is not possible to ask OEM to print the percentage over the chart.
Anyway, I sugget you to rewrite your query to compute the % in the query itselft thus to have the pct displayed on the rigth.
Let's say you want to display the database files' size with such a query: select file_name name,bytes val from dba_data_files;
This is the way to display the % of each file size over the total (remark the above query has been embeded in the new one).
select name,ratio_to_report(val) over() pct
from ( select file_name name,bytes val from dba_data_files )
order by val desc
It is quite easy to adapt such a tip to your own query.

does anybody have an example how to build a map with adobe flex that looks and behaves like the original xcelsius maps? I don't want to use the jpeg/alert-solution.

Kumar is using Google Maps in his Flex-Application. I think that BO isn't using Google in the Xcelsius Maps. But how is BO creating maps? With Flex, Flash in Flex? It would be nice if someone of BO could upload a tutorial with an example. Then many users can create there own maps.

Creating custom form with content type list - Shaepoint 2013 list

Hi All,
I have a list with a content type. So basically i have the default content type and another custom one.
I would like to customize the forms and taught of using sharepoint designer.
Is this a good approach or is it better using infopath.
When i try using infopath i don't know how i can using content type to create forms.
I basically have 2 forms based on the content types how can i separate this when using custom forms and what would be the best practice?

According to your description, you want to create a form for each content type in a custom list with multiple content types. Is it right?
If we use Infopath to customize forms for a list with multiple content types, it only customizes the default content type, the forms for other content types don't have changes.
For your requirement, I suggest you use SharePoint Designer to create forms for content types.

Using attachments in work-flow and creating custom text with key values

Hi,
I have 2 simple requirements.
1. how to attach a tcode or trigger method of business object for work-flow item. The user should be able to navigate to transaction to see data before approval or rejection.
2. I have created custom task for long text that will be displayed in the SAP inbox. How do I provide key values in this long text. I was able to do in the subject line using Substitution parameters(&Name1& etc..)

I did the same thing. see details.
Created Workitem and attached a task "TS92500097". in the task, I mentioned Business Object and method to be called. I have set the binding also for this business object. the method I am calling is nothing but just "display" which is using call transaction. 2 problems here.
1. How do I show this "BusinessObject.Display" as an attachment or link in the mail.
2. how do I assign key values during exection of this attachment or link.

Create new transaction with default variant

I want to create a new tcode, which will be a replica of IW58 and save a default variant only in this replica.
Is this possible? If yes how to do it please?

Maintain the variant you would like to use with IW58
Goto SE80, navigate to your Customer Package (Z*), open the node "Transactions". Right Klick -> Create Transaction.
Set a Transaction-Code and an apropriate Start Object (Most likely Dialog Transaction or Report Transaction). Assign the Report RIQMEL20.
Then fill in the Field "Start with variant" by selecting the variant you would like to use.

Based on 1402 release notes. Custom E-Mails now possible with SAP Cloud Application Studio.
release notes also states the following:
Customers can enhance the e-mails delivered by SAP Cloud for Travel and Expense by adding their own content to the existing content, they can replace the content entirely, and create their own emails.
What's more, they can flexibly define e-mails to be triggered to suit their own requirements.
We have a requirement to replace the standard email notification and create a new one. Tried to browse the Cloud Application Studio 1402 guide but didn't find any.

I am new to struts2 application. I have the requirement on "*custom URL*"
when I enter into my project like http://localhost:8080/App/secure/someaction.action?bookname=kathersera
this is opening the particuler book in my project. upto this its fine.
Now My requirement is that
Even if we type like (+http://localhost:8080/App/kathersera+) author name it should go to that particular page.
Any idea to implement this feature.

U are using opening page using server. So, If u do not make a request to server to veiw the page how could u see the page directly. So u have to make any event to open the page Like here http://localhost:8080/App/secure/someaction.action?bookname=kathersera, the page is opened on the result of someaction.action. but if u try to use http://localhost:8080/App/kathersera, u r not using any action, so it s not possible to open the page directly.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 to create custom DVD Menu

I know that starting from EL 11 it is possible through Photoshop EL 11 to create custom DVD Menu starting from scratch.
I fail finding on the Internet proper documentation for both creating it on Photoshop EL 11 and importing/using it on Premeiere EL 11.
I sometimes wish to create a Web DVD to put on the Internet and all I need is a nice background picture and a Play button.

The only problem that you might have, other than getting all of the naming and structural aspects correct (very specific), would be with the creation of Layer Sets in PSE. I am not sure if they have been added to PSE, and they are necessary for creating the Buttons. As I use Photoshop, and do not own PSE, I cannot tell you whether Layer Sets have been added.

I strongly recommend that one spend some time with one of the PrE Template Menu Sets, studying every aspect of what is reqired. Even though I create Menus (for Encore), and Menu Sets for PrE, I still will use one of those Templates as a "guide."
Now, if PSE does not yet have Layer Sets, one can still find an existing Template Menu Set, that comes close to what they wish to do, and heavily modify that in PSE.
One thing that trips up many DVD Menu designers, when they start out, is that NO Button may overlap any other Button, even by 1 pixel.

Missing performance counters when creating custom dashboard?

I've run into an issue when trying to create custom dashboards with performance views.
For example I have 2 servers with the same OS 2008 R2 one does not show the problem the other does.
The issue is that when I go in to create a custom dashboard and add a performance view the only counters listed for the problem server are network adapters. If I go to performance view on the server in scom it shows all the counters. The only place the counters
are missing is in the selection area for the dashboard performance view widget.
Do the performance views pull counter data from a different place then the dashboard performance widgets?

Hi,
You can submit the same job with different variant, but that is your runtime.
Limitation is that you can't migrate all these runtime jobs.
It is better you create different jobs with different variants, so that you have frexibility to run them independently, monitor and troubleshoot them, also migrate them to next environment (QA or PRD). And you can still create a job chain using all these independent jobs if require.
Only creating Job Chain would be useful only if you want to run them in parallel or in sequence. (Not if you want to run them independently).
