Create default operation & phase in process order

Dear PP Guru,
We used PP-PI and have a production type for simple production that there is no recipee for them.
We used auto generate order for this kind of production.
But in order, only operation is created and no phase is generated.
Hence this process order can not be confirm?
Is there any solution for this??
Best regards,
Freddy Ha

Dear,
In transaction "OPJG" you need to maintain default values for creating operation in case the system is unable to find a suitable master recipe. You need to maintain this for Plant/Order type combination.
Then define the confirmation parameter for this order type and plant for operation level confirmation.

  • System status LKD REL for operation & phases in Process order

    Hi Gurus,
We have a process order in which system status for operations & phases is LKD REL due to which user is not able to confirm the process order. The status of process order is REL PRC APNG APRS BASC BCRQ GMPS MACM RESA SETC. One of the user from planning has set the status to LKD due to some artwork changes. Now another user set the status to unlock. Locked status from order status was reset but at operation & phases level the status is still LKD REL & hence order confirmation is not allowed.
I try to again set the status to lock but i am getting message system status LKD is active (ACT 40547870 0010) which is similar to one which we get during order confirmation.Pls. suggest.
    Regards
    Amit

    Hello Amit
If the status LKD is not set for the order header, this is possibly an inconsistency.
Please open an OSS incident to SAP for further analysis.

  • R1213: Default Transaction Phase at the Order type

We have a scenario as below.
    1. We have a custom responsibility that has both Quote and Quick Sales order form
    2. The profile OM: Default Transaction Phase for Sales order has been set as "Negotiation" at the Responsibility level
    3. But we need users to create RMA from this responsibility using Quick Sales Order form.
    4. Hence we set the "Default Transaction Phase" for RMA order type as "Fulfillment"
Still when we try to create an RMA from quick sales order form, it's giving an error that Return is not possible since the default transaction phase is Negotiation..
How can we achieve this with out creating a second responsibility just to create RMA from Quick sales order form ??
    Any help would be appreciated
    Regards
    Gopi

Have the control on Default Transaction Phase only on the Order type level and NOT the responsibility level. Instead use processing constraints to restrict/allow creation of certain Type of Sales Order to certain responsibilities. Validation Templates can be created on Database Table level for Sales Order Type - use those to restrict to responsibilities. let me know if that works for you.

  • Update Operations in a process order

    Hi,
My task is to update operational level information in a process order via standard function module, can any one help me by providing a function module or a method to update the operations in a process order.
    Thanks in advance.
    Kind Regards,
    Abhi.

    Hi Gabriel,
No, this function is not released to the customer.
You can check this by going to the Attributes screen of the function module.  The last field in the General data section shows the release date of a function if it has been released (you can see an example of a released function module by checking any of the BAPI_ function modules).

  • Scehduling should be Fix for Only One Phase in Process order

    Dear ....
I created Recipe having  5 phases with base qty of 5000 Kg.
Each havign differten machine HR . Now when i crated the Process order for 5000 kg then all timing get copied in schedulinng of Opeartion.
Now my requirement is that One of Phase is independant of Process order quanity.
So for this Phase i need same timing of 5000 kg, irrespective of process order qty.
If i created process order of 3000 kg , the timing of thi phase get reduce in scheduling.
I need to prevent the schedulling of this one phase irrespective or process order qty, wheather it wil increase or descerase scheduling of this phase should be same as per Reciepe.

ya..U r right actauly it was misatke..formula now corrected.
But whre should i used this formula..as I am having other Activities which i am using for other phases .
For this phases scheduling i am using scheduling formula as "Machine * Operation quantity / Base quantity / Operation splits".
As thre is only one field for formula..how should i assign this my Fixed Fomula in reosurce so that only one phase should be effective with  new formula.
    Hopw u got my query..

  • Manual scheduling phases in Process order

    Hello dears,
a question came out to my business during Process order (PP-PI module) testing.
When a order is created, the system uses master recipe data to schedule each phase, and to assign them a start and finish time. These values are displaied in the process order for each phase.
The question is: is it possible to change them manually, in case I need to reschedule only a specific phase and not the whole order? Because currently I see that dates fields are not editable in COR2.
    Thanks a lot.
    Kind regards,
    Giovanni

    Dear ,
You ca not  able to manually chanes  the date and time unless they are Dispatched  after capacity evalution  or leveling at the Resource level.
Generally , if your resource is having finite scheduling active and you have CRP planning is in place , then you need to goto CM07/CM05 to check the Overload/Availablit of the resouce in a certain date n time so that you can re-scheule them manually from CM21/CM22/CM23 .
To meet this requirement , you have to adop Capacity Requirement Planning set up .
Check our earlier posting  on the similar issue : Capacity Planning not considering plnd order
Capacity requirements generation at phase level only

  • How to assign Inspection characteristic to the Phases in Process order

    Hi PP/QM  experts,
There is business requirement to assign Master Inspection
Characteristics to the Phases in the process order. But there is no
functionality to assign MIC's in process order. So this is stopping me to map the scenario for Rework execution.
Requirement is results recording is required for additional added phases (Phases added to the process order to perform Rework) in the process order.
Expecting to provide a possitive solution to resolve this issue.
    thanks®ards,
    Hima

    hi hima
there may be one solution that if you maintained separate master recipe for rework and maintained inspection characteristics there.and while creating rework order assign that master recipe. that would help you to result record.
and one more solution is that you have to maintained inspection characteristics for your rework phase in the master recipe.
if any query please come back

  • In process quality inspection in operation of a process order

    Hi,
PP-PI inprocess quality inspection at operation level
I am creating a process order having two operation. the first is quality inspection (inprocess inspection) & last is related to consumption of some materials.
The control key in operations are pi02,pi03(miles stone confirmation). i am using insp type 03 in material master
user needs  insp. happen first then consumption of material.
    my question is
1.when operation first get triggered  quality lot generated i enter RR & do UD.but here i can not see the insp lot stock as subscreen. why? then how can i block defect qty in block stock?
2.how can i consume material in the same quality operation?
    With Regards,
    Kareena

    Hi Kareena,
I think the thread is going in other direction. You were asking for some solution to mentioned the consumption.............
    That can be taken care..........
For 03 - "In process inspection" lot as yield confirmation by activating the STD function of SAP as I have mentioned in my last post.
For 04 - "Inspection against GR form Production" lot, by stock posting.
For any lot you can do customization in "EXIT_SAPLQEEM_011", to post the material consumption at each MIC/Operation valuation.
But now the entire scenario what you are asking is bit confusing.
    You wrote
    I think for process order,
quality activity confirmation we are talking
& for this i have not maintained inspection
    point or inspection point identification.
i am doing RR from qe11.
It seems you we are talking about 03 type inspection lot. that you can relate with the option I have mentioned in the beginning of this reply.
in my inspection plan for the material
i have maintained 5 different characterstics
in that row i can not see the sampling
    procedure,base unit of measure,
base quantity all these field are gray in color
i have defined sampling procedure also
i have not maintained inspection point identification.
Where you have mentioned these 5MICs?
If it is inspection plan, then it will go with 04 Type.
If it is Master Recipe/Routing, then it will go with 03 Type.
Now the other point you wrote the MIC Line item have the fields GREY for Sampling Procedure,&...........&.......So to activate them,
Select the line item for MIC, click on the Control Indicator (Sampling Procedure) and then you will be able to assign the Sampling Procedure to MIC.
The fields "Inspect" & "Inspected" are related with the "Insp. Scope" with the MIC. The scope is define at the Control indicators for the MICs (On Page2 for the Indicators). There are four Radio Buttons to define the Inspection Scope.
    Scope not Fixed
If you set this indicator, the number of inspected units is defined by the user for results recording.
This number does not have to agree with the precalculated number of inspected units.
E.g. If the the sample size for that particular MIC is not fixed ever and you will supposed to enter it at the time of RR you should define this indicator and the field will open for entry in QE11.
    Fixed Scope
If you set this indicator, the number of inspected units must correspond
to the precalculated number of units to be inspected for results
    recording.
The system can perform a valuation for the inspection characteristic based on the number of nonconforming units or the number of defects in the sample.
And the field will be GREY, non - modifiable.
Similarly the larger and smaller scopes work.
    Best Regards,
    Shyamal

  • Error when convert planned order to process order

when using tcode COR7, unable to convert planned order (make to stock) to process order.
error message: No default value is maintained for operation generation for order type ZI03
    note: order type is customised.
please assist where to check or maintain the default value..TQVM

    Dear ,
Create default operation for the process order type and plant combination in OPJG and then check for converting the planned
    order to process order.
If you want the system to automatically pick the master recipe, then make the necessary settings and selection ID for the process
order type and plant combination in COR4.
    Check and revert

  • Creation of Process Order without assigning master recipe

    Hi,
I want to create a process order without having default master recipe for the given material or default operation for the given order type. I want the user to select the master recipe manually in process order. We do not want to use production version also.
We can define the default operation for the order type (OPJG) so that we can create a process order. I do not want a default operation in the process order but the user should select a valid master recipe. If we have default operation in the process order, it serves no purpose as it is never used anywhere.
Is there any way we can achieve this?

Please find the required details and conditions for creating process orders without master recipe.

  • PRTs in Process order

PRT Assignments to Operations/Phases in Process Order
    Use
You use this function in master recipes to determine which production resources/tools (PRT) are required to carry out an operation or phase.
You can subsequently assign the PRTs as test equipment to the inspection characteristics of the operation or phase.
PRTs are not taken into account in recipe scheduling or product costing. As PRTs cannot be used in process orders at the moment, they do not affect capacity requirements planning, availability check, or confirmation.
    Prerequisites
The PRTs must have a master record in the system. Depending on the PRT category, the following additional conditions have to be met:
Materials, equipment, and documents must be released for use as production resources/tools in their status
PRTs with a PRT master record (miscellaneous) must be released for resource planning in their status
PRTs with material master records, PRT master records, or equipment master records must be intended for use in master recipes in their task list usage
    Features
You can assign several PRTs to an operation or phase and one PRT to several operations and/or phases.
During assignment, you can enter data that determine how PRTs should be treated during order processing. As PRTs cannot be used in process orders in Release 4.0, this data does not have any functional significance in PP-PI. This includes:
    The PRT control key
Data on the quantity, usage value, and usage dates of the PRT
