  • How to create dynamic tree based on BAPI

    Hi
    I am able to create dynamic tree based on flat file structure example given in SDN . But how to create the tree from BAPI directly.Also when I will be clicking on any leaf node of the tree some data related to the node will be passed to another view.
    Regards
    Ananda

    What i'm trying to do is create an organizational structure.
    Global>Region>Plant-->Corporation
    The output from the RFC is a structure containing every possible combination for orgazational hierarchy. Basically a flat table with record for every possible combinaton of Region-Plant-Corporation. This data needs to be bound to a tree structure so that we can call BW queries based on that level. For example: Give me aged inventory for the SAP corporation within the plant Berlin that is located in the Europe region.
    Now that you understand the business reason will the nodes that represent Region and Plant and corporation be non-singleton nodes or recursive? I was thinking a hierarchy of non-singleton nodes.
    I can bind these nodes to the Region - Plant - Corporation elements returned from in the flat table structure. I will probably get duplicates as a specific Region will be listed multiple times for every possible combination of the data beneath it. I'm not so concerned about that right now as I want to make sure I understand how in Web Dynpro to bind the data to the tree.
    Hopefully this makes some sense. Can you elaborate on how this may be constructed in context of the view?
    Would i create a model node for region (0..n), model node for plant (0..n), and a model node for Corporation (0..n)?
    Or does this sound totally incorrect?

    We have 3 regions over 50 plants and probably around 500 corporations.

  • To create login form using swing with sqlserver as backend

    hi.
    can anybody send me code to create login form using swings .
    thnaks in advance..
    sj

    You do realise that you can't create Swing on a JSP page?
    You have to use HTML.
    If you want to use Swing, the java must be running at the client end, which means you need an Applet, and a completely different forum.

  • How do i create a Multi column Dynamic list using Swing?

    Hi,
    I need to be able to do a file search (in a separate thread) on the hard drive and display the results in a multi column List control .
    Jtable seems to be rather 'static'y. i.e load data in once. and maybe reload it again later. But i need to load one row in at a time as the search progresses.
    Also any row can be deleted or moved to another position.
    CListCtrl in MFC allows me to do this handily.
    But Is there a way to do this using Swing?
    havent seen anything that says JList can do this.
    TIA

    Hi Jacob.
    I would use JTable for that. I did not exactly understand what you meant by JTable being "static"y.
    Anyway, I would have the thread update the data in the tablemodel behind the table and invoke "fireTableRowsInserted" (may be after every insert or after inserting a chunk of rows). I had a sample something similar to what you are working on. Let me know if you need the sample.
    HTH.

  • How to create html files using Swing

    I am developing a billing system in java. I want to generate cash memo and other related documents in HTML format. I have explored html package in swing but without result. Please help me.
    Arshad

    Hi,
    I agree with the previous poster. An additional way of generating HTML would be to directly write it. Class SHTMLWriter in package com.lightdev.app.shtm of application SimplyHTML at http://www.lightdev.com/template.php4?id=3 gives this opportunity.
    With this, you can do something such as   /**
       * example of synthesizing HTML code to a Writer using
       * class SHTMLWriter
       * @param fileName the name of the file to write HTML to
      public void writeHTML(String fileName) {
        try {
          FileWriter fw = new FileWriter(fileName);
          SHTMLWriter w = new SHTMLWriter(fw);
          w.startTag(HTML.Tag.HTML.toString(), null);
          w.startTag(HTML.Tag.BODY.toString(), null);
          SimpleAttributeSet set = new SimpleAttributeSet();
          set.addAttribute(CSS.Attribute.FONT_FAMILY, "SansSerif");
          set.addAttribute(CSS.Attribute.FONT_SIZE, "12");
          w.startTag(HTML.Tag.P.toString(), set);
          fw.write("some text");
          w.endTag(HTML.Tag.P.toString());
          w.endTag(HTML.Tag.BODY.toString());
          w.endTag(HTML.Tag.HTML.toString());
        catch(Exception e) {
          e.printStackTrace();
      }The HTML output is hard coded in this example. Certainly any HTML code can be created dynamically/programmatically instead. Class SHTMLWriter is partly meant as a convenience class for writing HTML. One can just through start and end tags as in above example. In the start tag any valid AttributeSet can be given.

  • URGENT: CREATE A  TREE  USING ROWS OF TABLE

    problem:
    Task-id Start-dt Fininsh-date
    1
    2
    WITH IN A TABLE I NEED TO MAKE [ROW 2] AS A CHILD OF [ROW 1] USING -> BUTTON .
    ROW 2 BECOMES INDEPENDENT IF I USE <- BUTTON.
    I CREATED A TABLE STRUCTURE THAT CAN INSERT ROWS AND COLUMNS DYNAMICALLY.
    BUT I NEED TO MAKE A TREE STRUCTURE AT RUNTIME USING BUTTONS.
    CAN ANY BODY HELP ME WITH SOME CODE?

    I seems we have two option that both a not sufficient (Gurus, please correct me):
    1. Base the tree on an existing JSP page. This is what the default ViewHandler of each JSF implementation must offer. According to the spec you can add/remove from that tree. The drawback is that the JSP page must exist so you cannot really create a new tree unless you create a new JSP file before.
    2. Implement your own ViewHandler and register it with your web application's LifeCycle. The major drawback here is that you have to implement the rendering of each and every component and of the whole rendering logic yourself.
    What we do need (while sticking to the default ViewHandler) is a means to create new trees with tree IDs that do not necessarily denote JSP pages. A new tree could optionally be based on an existing JSP page. This way we could have a few JSP templates and could create many tree instances where several different trees could be derived from the same JSP template.
    Hey, spec designers, what do you think about that?

  • How to create dynamic tree component

    I am using netbeans 5.5 and visual web pack to develop my jsf application.
    I want to add a tree component that will be tied to a table with following columns:
    id,parent_id,name
    Actually the table stores data in tree structure with parent_id storing the parent of the row.
    So a row with parent_id = 0 will be the root nodes of the tree.
    When ever any root node is selected i want to fetch its children from the database and populate then as children of that parent node.
    The tree can go to any depth so i want to make my tree component dynamic enough to handle this requirement.
    How can i accomplish this.
    I just want to add listerner for the plus sign of every node so that when the plus sign of that node is clicked i just want to get the id of the corresponding node.

    First things first. Next time please use the code formating tags when posting your code.
    Secondly, we cant help you do your entire project or more specifically we cant do it for you. We can probably help you with one section at a time.
    Thirdly, do not post your entire code. Create a Short, Self Contained, Compilable Example (SSCCE) that demonstrates the problem section, and that is independent of any third party libraries and can compiled instantly and tested.
    Now, lets see if we can answer one problem here.
    Ques 1. In the form I have one JComboBox of Country and other of State. Now I want it in such a way that whenI select a country from the Country JComboBox ,the corresponding states automatically appears in the State JComboBox.
    Ans 1: Use an ItemListener or an ActionListener (javax.swing.event) for this. Once an item is selected, the event will be fired and then you populate your ComboBox with the requried data.
    Ques 2. I need to add picture frame in the 6th tab so that the picture shows up when clicked browse and open.
    Ans 2: You haven't created the JButton for the browse action, nor have you created the JLabel to show the picture in. Create the JButton, then the JLabel, attach an ActionListener to the button to listen for the button click, open a JFileChooser, select the image file, create an ImageIcon and pass the File object returned to it. Then call the JLabel.setIcon( the ImageIcon) to display the picture. You'll have to store the picture File information some where so can reference it when saving.
    Ques 3.I need to add tables in 1st and 5th tab which shows up the details through database when added through several textboxes and combo boxes.
    You need to do some reading. The Swing Tutorial has everything you need, from How to use Tables to How to connect to databases. There are also some examples in your JDK installation folder, ie, jdk/demos/jfc/tableExample. Here is the link to the swing tutorial on how to use Tables: http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/table.html. You find other useful links there.

  • How to create dynamic table using POJO based DataControl

    Hi,
    I'm using JDeveloper 11.1.1.5.0. I'm not using ADF BC.
    I've a requirement to display the Dynamic table in my search page.
    In our product we are using POJO based Data controls.
    I created a task-flow and page fragment. I tried to create the dynamic table by drag-drop of searchResults from my Data control, I see the option for Read-Only Dynamic Table, but when I select this option, I don't see anything happening.
    Does the Dynamic Table work with POJO data controls?
    Any inputs would be helpful.
    Thanks
    Ravi

    First U have to crate Extended View Object to your actual View obj.
    Now take Page with Panel  Splitter ,on First facet drag View obj as table and on second Facet Drag Extended View Obj as table.On page loading U have delete all rows from Extended View object.And then u have write bean code on button click to get current select rows from above view objct,and for Filter rows from Second View obj according to selection of rows from first view obj...

  • NI PCI-6542: Creating Dynamic Waveforms Using the HSDIO Library

    Hello!
    I am having problems understanding how to create waveforms using the HSDIO library to run on my PCI-6542 board. I need to create a program that turns one channel on for 12.5 microseconds, waits a set amount of time(i.e. 100 samples),  and turns another channel on for 12.5 microseconds.
    This program is to be used in a phased array ultrasonic system.
    Below is the Dynamic Generation example program that turns channels 0 - 2 on for 1024 samples.
    * Example Program:
    * DynamicGeneration.c
    * Description:
    * Generates a simple pattern on specified channels.
    * Pin Connection Information:
    * None.
    /* Includes */
    #include <stdio.h>
    #include <limits.h>
    #include "niHSDIO.h"
    /* Defines */
    #define WAVEFORM_SIZE 1024
    int main(void)
    ViRsrc deviceID = "Dev1";
    ViConstString channelList = "0-2";
    ViReal64 sampleClockRate = 50.0e6;
    ViInt32 dataWidth = 4;
    ViUInt32 waveformDataU32[WAVEFORM_SIZE];
    ViConstString waveformName = "myWfm";
    ViInt32 timeout = 10000; /* milliseconds */
    ViSession vi = VI_NULL;
    ViStatus error = VI_SUCCESS;
    ViChar errDesc[1024];
    ViInt32 i;
    /* Initialize generation session */
    checkErr(niHSDIO_InitGenerationSession(
    deviceID, VI_FALSE, VI_FALSE, VI_NULL, &vi));
    /* Assign channels for dynamic generation */
    checkErr(niHSDIO_AssignDynamicChannels (vi, channelList));
    /* Configure sample clock parameters */
    checkErr(niHSDIO_ConfigureSampleClock(
    vi, NIHSDIO_VAL_ON_BOARD_CLOCK_STR, sampleClockRate));
    /* Query the Data Width Attribute */
    checkErr(niHSDIO_GetAttributeViInt32(
    vi, VI_NULL, NIHSDIO_ATTR_DATA_WIDTH, &dataWidth));
    /* Populate waveform with ramp data */
    for (i = 0; i < WAVEFORM_SIZE; i++)
    waveformDataU32[i] = i;
    checkErr(niHSDIO_WriteNamedWaveformU32(
    vi, waveformName, WAVEFORM_SIZE, waveformDataU32));
    /* Initiate generation */
    checkErr(niHSDIO_Initiate(vi));
    /* Wait for generation to complete */
    checkErr(niHSDIO_WaitUntilDone(vi, timeout));
    Error:
    if (error == VI_SUCCESS)
    /* print result */
    printf("Done without error.\n");
    else
    /* Get error description and print */
    niHSDIO_GetError(vi, &error, sizeof(errDesc)/sizeof(ViChar), errDesc);
    printf("\nError encountered\n===================\n%s\n", errDesc);
    /* close the session */
    niHSDIO_close(vi);
    /* prompt to exit (for pop-up console windows) */
    printf("\nHit <Enter> to continue...\n");
    getchar();
    return error;
    Questions:
    How can I change the values in waveformDataU32 to create off and on states(instead of just always on)?
    How do I select the channel that waveformDataU32 is applied to?
    Thanks!
    Zachary Geier
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    The waveformDataU32 array is an array of 32 bit integers. Each bit corresponds to a line on the device.  So on the first clock cycle, this program outputs:
    0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000
    Then it outputs the following, changing on each clock pulse:
    0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0001,
    0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0010,
    and so on all the way up to 1023:
    0000 0000 0000 0000 00000011 1111 1111
    In the example you include at the bottom, you are setting the least significant bit (LSB) to zero and one, effectively only changing one line on the output. To change all of the lines, you should use 4,294,967,295 or 0xFFFFFFFF instead:
    for (i = 0; i < WAVEFORM_SIZE; i++){
    if(i < 200){ //If sample number is less than 200
    waveformDataU32[i] = 0; //Turn off channels 0-2
    else{
    waveformDataU32[i] = 4,294,967,295; //Else turn on all channels for 800 samples

  • How to read a xml file created dynamically and use it to to chart

    Hi
    I am using Fuisonchart in Flex to create 3D charts i have stored my xml in server path as "Data.xml",this xml will be generated when i click on a button,this button passes my http service and frame my xml.
    Xml values will get changed as per database values, my problem is my chart fetches xml of old generated values,and not the newly updated xml values,
    I need to send my xml atonce when it is updated and changed,Flex part gets that updated value only when i run the application second time.
    So please help me to update the chart atonce when it is updated.

  • How to Create Dynamic form using table data

    Dear All,
    I have one Table called PRODUCT_MASTER where product details are stored. Say product A,B,C,D are stored in the table. Another table called SUB_PRODUCT_MASTER, which contains sub product details.Say A1,A1,B1,B2, B3,C1, C2, C3, D1,D2,D3.
    Now, I want to create a dynamic form based on product,sub product. for a whole month. For better under standing here is the format.
    PRODUCT A B C D
    SUB_PROD A1 A2 B1 B2 B3 C1 C2 C3 D1 D2 D3
    Days
    1 x x x x x x x x
    2
    3
    4
    5
    6
    7
    Now whenever I add one row in the PRODUCT)MASTER table and SUB_PRODUCT_MASTER table, Form should add one column in the form automatically. e.g. If I add Product E with two Sub product E1 and E2 then form should add ptoduct E column in the form with sub products E1 and E2 as per above format. Here days are fixed to 31. This forms should accept product wise daily despatch entry. For
    storing despatch entry another table is created.
    Please help to create this type od forms.

    You want I believe to create Croos-Table(Matrix) form. Visit Cross-table (matrix) forms layout and add "Please Send me too".
