Create exchange account (live) iOS 6

GM all
i need help to create exchange acocunt in MAIL for live, now outlook.com.
in the last release of iOS i can select name of server anche at the end of procedure i can see correct icon in mail, icon of exchange mail account.
Now whit iOS 6, that all runs correctly, i have not the opportunity otherwise runs well too, but i dont know if now is exchange ir imap.
someone can help me?

Can I Duplicate an Exchange Account on iOS 7?

I'm trying to set up a second instance of my Exchange account on iOS 7 that will be set to just push my calendar updates while the first instance is set to just do my email as fetch, however whenever I try an add the second Exchange account, iOS 7 tells me that I can't have the same Exchange account on my device.
Is there another workaround here to get this desired functionality? I get so many calendar invites that I need my device to be up-to-date, however I don't need to have my battery killed with all the email getting pushed.

Character encoding problem by Gmail set up as exchange account on IOS mail

It was maybe asked before but I could not find any solution. If someone can help I would appreciate it...
If I set up my gmail, which I use very heavily, as Gmail on the IOS mail installation it would be set up as IMAP and does not push the emails. If I choose it to install as exchange account via m.google.com everything is OK and I get my mails instantly. But the way over exchange disturbs because of the character encoding problem. IOS mail does not show me the turkish or some german characters like "ü" and the mail is almost not readable... By version 1 also as IMAP there is no problem with the characters but I must start IOS mail everytime to see if I have new mail...
Does anyone know a solution for it?

But I cannot set the the gmail app as standart email program, or? I mean if I want to send a page on safari and click send via email, the mail.app would start and not the gmail.app.... I am using Iphone since a few weeks and as far as I know a customisation is not possible.

Cannot create exchange account help!!

I know there seems to be many posts on this, i have tried loads and still no active sync email. I can log on to safari from my iphone to https://webmail.company.com/exchange, enter my log in details and can get my email up. My IT department has said everything is set up correctly etc. But when i try to set up the account every time i get account authentication failed. Any more suggestions would be appreciated.

We have to assume that your IT folks are correct that everything is set up right-- specifically:
1) ActiveSync is enabled
2) It is enabled for your account
3) They aren't blocking your device for any reason
4) They are running Exchange 2003 Service Pack 2 or later (recommended to be fully patched and up-to-date)
5) Your account hasn't been locked due to too many attempts
6) They aren't programmatically blocking iPhones on the Exchange server
Then, you will want to ensure that you have the following settings correct on the iPhone:
Server: webmail.company.com (just the host name, no http or subdirectory)
SSL needs to be on if the IT folks used the default.
You may want to set up a Windows Mobile device on your account to rule out how you have the iPhone set up. If that WM device works, then you know your IT folks have the server set up right.
I hope this is helpful for a baseline of things to look for.

Why can't iOS Mail create POP account type?

I've created a new email address with my ISP.
I've created a new email account on my desktop Mac (Mail 8.2).
Now I tried to add the new email account in my iPad (iOS 8.1.3), but it doesn't give me the option to pick POP as account type. The credentials checks out and it becomes an IMAP email account! The Option modifier key doesn't seem to apply.
What am I missing?

No. It does not exist because "many people prefer it". It exists because email providers simply haven't killed off that service yet. POP3 is ancient. It was never designed to be used with multiple devices. You stand a higher chance of losing information when it doesn't play nice with the 'leave messages on server after download' request, which was tacked on to the standard as an afterthought, than you do using IMAP or Exchange protocols.
The only reason it still exists at all is because it doesn't cost the providers anything to leave it turned on. It's there. It "works", more or less... why bother disabling it?
1. That has more to do with how you manage your email than anything else. I'd much rather file it into a folder that makes sense than wade through hundreds of emails in my inbox trying to remember what I've already dealt with and what I haven't.
2. No, IMAP retrieval is not "glitchy". That's a problem with your email provider. Not IMAP.
3. False. Your perception of it may be different, but POP3 is not inherently "faster" than IMAP.
4. Or you could you know... just make backups on a regular basis.
I use multiple gmail accounts (IMAP), and multiple Exchange accounts. Having to manually manage those on multiple devices would be a nightmare. I don't want to have to delete or file something more than once. Life's too short to waste time like that.

MDM IOS Activesync File left, remove Exchange account

During our initial Test,
we ha the Profile :
MDM IOS ActiveSync File
wich created an an Exchange Account on the IOS Devices, unfortunatly this account cannot be removed, and currently we hve no ActiveSync / Exhange Server defined, this must result in no Policy.
I have tried to update the device, by upload the new profile, but the Exchange Account (an the MDM the profile ios Activesync File ) is still on the device and cannot be removed.
So how can we handle this ?

Scratch my previos note... that's not what happens.
I more looks like it some how get's connected using the active sync server but then not able to make a complete sync.
This is a problem I see in two setups at the momment, so any ideas on this would be nice. Or maybe just a log to look in.
The user gets created in ZMM but then does not get the automatically mail created. The log tells me this:
"Login rejected: user Failed to Authenticate to Active Sync Server (invalid username or password)"
What I don't get is that it's able to create the user in ZMM but not to sync.

How can I create subfolders in Mac Mail for an Exchange account?

I use Mac Mail on OS X 10.8.4 to download my Exchange mail, which is hosted on Office 365.
I can create folders inside existing subfolders in my Inbox, but if I try to create one as a first-level subfolder of the Inbox the option does not exist. Instead, it creates another top level folder and puts it at the bottom of the folder list, not inside the Inbox.
Can anyone tell me how to add a normal subfolder to my Inbox?

Exchange Basics
The Inbox syncs more frequently than any other and should be kept as clean as possible. (this is the number one cause of problems with sync). Do NOT make subfolders under the Inbox.
Exchange checks the server for updates every minute, any folder that has updates will subsequently be synced. Since Exhange has a limit on how many folders can be synced at a time, there can be a queue of folders waiting. The Inbox does get high priority so it will generally sync before other folders that also need to sync.
Keep your folders under the 2GB limit. That's approx 6-10K messages per folder (does not include subfolders) Outlook does not export folders over 2GB as .mbox files

It's best to move folders using your web interface (OWA) but you can drag in Outlook and/or Mail.
In Browser via OWA
Because of the massive changes the process is best done in your browser. I would also put Mail into work offline mode during this process. After all is moved on the server via the browser, I would delete the Exchange account and let it all download correctly from the server.

"Error creating ds account: null" after iphone ios 5 update when attempting sign in with Apple ID..any ideas?

I have just updated my iPhone software to ios 5, it all seemed to go very smoothly until I was asked for my Apple ID.
I clearly have a working ID as I'm signed into this very website so it isn't a problem with that - but when I've attempted sign-in it has come up with "Error creating ds account: null"
I was going to skip this step but it pops up again saying that you need it for iTunes and I wasn't sure if I could sign into my ID at a later time or not, so I'm stuck on the Apple ID page!
Has anyone else had this issue or a solution?

I've managed to sort it out now - I think my problem was to do with the Internet, as my connection wasn't working when I first tried to sign into apple ID. I did a step back and re-selected my Internet router, and it then seemed to work! Give this a go because it worked for me!

Go to http://www.apple.com/asia/support/mac/app-store/ , click on 'iTunes Store Account and Billing' then 'Billing Enquiries' to get a link to email them. Ask them whether there is a way you can purchase Apps, perhaps by nominating one of the listed countries (Vietnam, for example).

Problem in iOS 7, high battery consumption and excessive consumption of data exchange accounts

yesterday I upgrade to iOS 7, then I started to feel warm on the iphone and review data consumed and increasingly gained more, check detailed consumption and note that consumption was generated in "Exchange accounts" How I can fix this?

Try removing and re adding the exchange accounts.
If that doesnt resolve it then reset the phone and see hwo that goes.
You may even need to restore the iPhone from a backup in iTunes.

If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact Apple ID Support, upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.
The operator will take you through some steps you may have already tried, however they need to be sure they have exhausted all usual approaches before trying to reset your account, so you should try to be helpful and show patience with the procedure.
The operator will need to verify they are speaking to the account holder and may ask you some questions that only the account holder could know, and you will need to answer them if the process is to proceed.
Once the operator has verified your identity they will send a message through to your device which contains an alpha numeric code, which you will need to read back to them.
Once this has been completed they will send an email to your iCloud email address after a period of 24 hours, so you should check that mail is enabled in your devices iCloud settings.
Upon receipt of the email, use the reset link provided to reset your password, after which you should be able to make the adjustments to iCloud that you wish to do.

IOS 4.0.1 Email Subfolder problem with multiple Exchange accounts

Situation: iPhone 4, iOS 4.0.1, multiple Exchange accounts, corporate exchange server 2010
problem: Emails are of course organized into subfolders. However, my iPhone only displays NEW incoming Emails when they are sent to an accounts ROOT Emails folder. I can access the subfolders of each account using the "account:" buttons and read the mails - but thats useless since I dont have an idea WHICH folder of WHICH ACCOUNT received a new mail!
to me, that is definitely a bug - not a feature.
any ideas?

I cannot believe this is actually the case -- I'm experiencing the same problem and it's driving me nuts! Come on Apple; this needs to be fixed if you actually expect the iphone to become a real business device.
