This is a bit vague - need an error or screenshot etc to go on.
How are you completing the certificate request? IE or MMC?

Can't create Exchange domain-signed certificate
Okay, I need to figure out why this is happening. We have our own domain certificate authority, and when I run a domain certificate request from any of my IIS servers, it hands out certificates just fine. But when I try to submit a request for an exchange
certificate directly in the MMC, I get the following error:
"The request contains no certificate template information. 0x80094801 (-2146875391)
Denied by Policy Module: 0x80094801, The request does not contain a certificate template extension or the CertificateTemplate request attribute."
I get this same issue if I try to submit a request manually from an IIS server. It only works if I send a domain cert request through the IIS wizard.
Can someone help me fix this? I've been having this issue for years now, and I need to figure out how to make this work before I can properly troubleshoot my Exchange 2013 CAS setup. The Certificate Authority is installed on Windows Server 2012
Standard, but I've been having this issue before we upgraded the OS to this.
----------- Ron E Biggs Network Administrator Entertainment StudiosHi Ron
This issue may be caused by incorrect Certificate Template permission settings. Let’s
give Authenticated user Enroll permission:
1. Open MMC, click File menu, choose Add/Remove Snap-in, choose Certificate
Templates, click OK.
2. Double-click Web Server template, switch to Security tab, selected Authenticated
users, click Enroll option. Click OK.
3. Open CA console, stop CA service and restart it.
4. Try to open MMC->Certificates of Local Computer, try to request Web
Server certificates.
At the same time, we can disable IE SEC and change IE security settings to bypass HTTPS requirement.
To do so:
1. Open Server Manager, click Server Manger in the left panel, click
Configure IE SEC in the right panel.
2. Click Off at least for administrator. Click OK.
3. Open Internet Options, switch to Security tab, click Trusted sites,
move the slide bar to bottom. Click Local intranet, move the slide bar to bottom, click OK.
4. Restart IE and try to visit http://localhost/certsrv, you should be
able submit request.
If there is any error, please let us know the detailed error message

Exchange OWA Certificate Question
Hello All
I just have a question regarding exchange owa certificate which is about to expire. (owa.domain.com, autodiscover.domain.com, mail.domain.com )
I have
Site one
Mailbox 2013 Server1
CAS 2013 Server1
Edge 2013
Site 2
Mailbox 2013 Server2
Cas 2013 Server2
Edge 2007
Exchange high availability configured. On ECP I am seeing my OWA certificate about to expire on both CAS on the same day(same cert)
I would like to create a new certificate, not renew as I have some old domains to remove from the cert.
My question is, when I create the the new request from ECP - Cas Server1, send to the CA and then install the, how will this reflect for the certificate that is expired on CAS server2?
ThanksHi nricki,
Agree with Hinte, you can export the new certificate which was created in CAS1 server and then import it to CAS2 server.

Transfer of user from one AD / Exchange domain to another AD / Exchange domain
Hi All,
I want evaluate transfer of user scenario from one AD domain to Another AD domain using out of box AD connector.I have three AD domain in one Forest as below.
Root - example.com
|_____domain1.example.com
|_____domain2.example.com
|_____domain3.example.com
In my case i have two attributes on which I need to transfer user from one AD domain to another AD domain. e.g. suppose from trusted source if I changed the MINOR_ORG_CODE and MAJOR_ORG_CODE, transfer of user event should get initialized and user should transfer from one AD domain to another AD domain.Once user transfer from one AD domain to another AD domain, he/she should be de-provision from previous domain. While transfer his mail box or exchange account should also be transfer from one exchange domain to another exchange domain.Exchange domain is also in same forest.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Nitin NatekarCase 1:
Here you can written pre-update event handler which will check whether minor and major org code changed or not.
If changed then first starts de-provisioning and then start provisioning.
If not changed then do nothing.
This approach will not transfer accounts from one domain to another but it will create fresh accounts and remove accounts from old domain.
Case2:
If you want to transfer accounts from one domain to another in that on pre-update you have to change OU of user on process which automatically move to another domain.
but not sure about exchange it is possible to move to another domain.
hopping that all domains under same forest otherwise same Connector Sever will not work. -
Java and multi-domain certificates
Hi, I tried using a so called MDC or multi-domain certificate with my Java application but when connecting with a webbrowser I get the following error in Firefox (Internet Explorer gives a similar error but provides less info) :
"The certificate is only valid for www.somedomain.com%2Csub1.somedomain.com%2Csub2.somedomain.com%2C"
I assume the %2C should be commas or at least have been interpreted as commas.
My question, was this certificated created wrong or does Java not support this type of certificate?I doubt it is a Java issue. If your SSL handshake is reaching the stage where the server sends its certificate to your browser, then the server is already satisfied with its own certificate. I doubt the server pays much attention to the subject name or any of the subject alternative names of its own certificate. And the server cannot change any of the fields of this certificate, so what it is sending the browser is exactly what you got back from the CA.
You say you did not create the certificate, but you almost certainly created almost all the fields of the certificate by creating something called a certificate signing request. This is what you give to the CA. The CA uses this to populate the fields of a certificate that it signs and gives back to you. -
Domain Certificate generation - SSLGenCA.sh hangs during adding a secret
Hi,
I have got some strange issue with the Certificate generation for the Domain (Middleware 11.1.1.5, Weblogic 10.3.5, Linux 64):

Issue:

Command SSLGenCA.sh hangs at the last step (${ORACLE_HOME}/bin/mkstore -wrl $CA_CRED/castore -createEntry capassword $wpasswd >> $LogFile 2>&1):
Generate a new CA Wallet...

Storing the newly generated CA to the LDAP...
Set up ACL to protect the CA wallet... <===== HERE IT HANGS

Fixed it by downgrading back to 3.0.4.
In case it helps identify the issue, these are the sound modules I am using (they work fine under 3.0.4, but produce stuttering audio under 3.0.6, under ALL apps I use - firefox/flash videos, mplayer, ffplay, etc):

Exchange Mail Certificate Expired
Since our certificate expired this past weekend no one outside the firewall can connect to the Exchange server via Outlook or OWA.
Our IT Director created a new certificate on the Exchange Server, but users trying to get mail on mobile phones or from home computers cannot connect to the exchange server. What could be the cause? Does the new certificate have to be installed
on each client computer? Reason I ask is that we have people all over the country.Hi,
Before we go further, I'd like to confirm if the certificate is self-signed certificate or internal CA certificate.
If yes, I'd like to say, to confirm users trust the certificate, we need to install the certificate on everu clients.
If you have any question, please feel free to let me know.
Thanks,

How do I Create an Android Certificates for Phone Gap?
I wanted to know how to create an Android Cerficiate that I can use in Phone Gap. I tried to use the certificate that I created in Flash but apparently Phone Gap is no longer accepting these kinds of certificates.
If anyone knows of a straight-forward, designer friendly article or resource that explains how to do this, it would be much appreciated. Flash makes its super simple to create an Android Certificate.Thank Nancy. This is helpful.
However, Flash Professional has built-in panel that allows you to create an Android certificate in under 30 seconds.
The information from Android and Phone Gap is helpful but seems to be unecessarily clunky. Since this is my first time creating an Android certificate (outside of Flash) it looks like this process will take a few hours (or more) assuming trial and error and reading through the documentation.
I was just wondering if there is a simpler solution available, something similar to the process in Flash Professional. -

CFGFWK-60839: Database Load Failed!
Please help me if you find any problem with the steps that I am following to create my weblogic_portal_domain.
I was following the steps mentioned at : http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E15919_01/wlp.1032/e14252.pdf to create my domain to start portal development. Those are the WLP 10.3.2 instructions. But, the 10.3.4 instructions in the tutorial (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E26806_01/wlp.1034/e14252/setup_dev_env.htm#i1014619) are wrong, too.
In 10.3.4, with derby, Run Scripts doesn't work any longer; it should still work the other database (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.). Instead, for derby, just create the domain, accepting any warning dialogs about databases that come up. After that finishes, in the domain directory, run create_db.cmd (on windows) or create_db.sh (on *nix and Mac). It should create the derby database files in the domain, and include everything needed.
I'll send a note to get the docs updated.

Elapsed time: 34768 msHi ..Try,
1) Check your database and ensure thar DEMODB schema is exist or not.
2) Exit JDeveloper and then delete or rename the folder "C:\Users\sumandal\AppData\Roaming\JDeveloper\system12.1.2.0.40.66.68". Start JDeveloper and run integrated weblogic server . Provide the essential things like password, host etc. I hope this will solve your issue.

OBIEE 11.1.1.7 installation Issues - Fails on Creating a Domain
Hi,
I have completed all the steps mentioned in different posts in this forum regarding my error, but none of them helps. After comprehensive searching i have tried to install OBIEE with these steps also.
1st time installation:
1. Followed simple steps
a) Created schema using RCU on MS SQL Server successfully.
b) After that ran the setup of OBIEE, it succeeded all the way, but when it was configuring it stuck on Creating Domain, and eventually failed after 180 minutes.
2nd time installation:
I completely removed, OBIEE from my system, with all the registry entries included. Started a fresh installation after reading all these forum posts. but still it failed again on Creating a domain, this time i kept on re-trying for 3 times, it failed and it took me about 315 minutes overall.
a) Create a loop back adapter.
b) Assigned that adapter an IP (10.10.10.10). Configured the /etc/host file reflecting my adapter IP and hostname.domain name.
127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 WPKZS255082-XLZ.TX.MYDOMIN.COM WPKZS255082-XLZ
10.10.10.10 WPKZS255082-XLZ.TX.MYDOMIN.COM WPKZS255082-XLZ
(Above is my /etc/hosts file.
c) Installed Java JRE & JDK (7) on C:\JAVA and set the environmental variables in PATH (System Variable).
My System Configurations are:

ERROR LOG ENDS
Request your urgent response on this matter. If anyone finds this same error, please send your feedback.
ThanksHello 0ad6e3fe-e3d8-4867-8ba9-780c4a7150ff,
Your name must be hard to type, let alone remember. Please choose a more speaking name / handle for this forum since it's inconvenient talking to an alphanumeric string rather than a person.
You seem to have port issues:
java.lang.Exception: Unable to find a free port in range 7001 and 7500
java.lang.Exception: Unable to find a free port in range 9500 and 10000
java.lang.Exception: Unable to find a free port in range 9500 and 10000
However you're on Windows, so I suggest you check the last post in this thread: Re: OBIEE 11.1.1.5 installation Error on windows 7 64 bit
BTW: Doing a google search as well as a normal forum search bring up that thread and the very first search result for you issue. -
