there are two pages.
There is a table on the first one. The second one can be caused (called) as switch to dialog.and it contains a form of new record creating formed by the same view-object. After creating a new record dialog window closes and an error "JBO-35007: Row currency has changed since the user interface was rendered " appeal on the first page

Can you explain your requriement clearly.
You have two views ParentView and PDFView. Two views embedded in Window1.
By default ParentView will be displayed.
Now you are navigating from ParentView to PDFView. Then ParentView will be replaced by PDFView in Window1.
So here what is ur requriement. Why do you want an seperate Window here.
If you want to open the PDFView in a popup. Just create another Window2. Ember PDFView in Window2. Now from ParentView opent Window2 as a model/external popup.

Is it possible to open the Task Form in new window?

For the Oracle Business Process Workspace (BPM 11g), when opening a work item, is it possible to configure out the Workspace to open the Task Form in new window instead of opening in the bottom section under the work item list?

under the above path, you will have img folder and place the image containing your custom logo.
under the same path you will have src folder
in that folder you can place your custom css file (eg. mycustomstyles.css) and you need to define your styles in this file
you can call the style items for the presentation objects at design time for labels and all other objects. But do not forget to refer your custom css file in the properties section.
Once you open the bpm presentation object in which you want to apply your css, in properties pane you observe four options in CSS sub section of properties. Here select the CSS file with webroot path and give appropriate styles to each presentation data objects.

I have module for departments, and one for employees
and I have push botton, I need when_button_pressed to open form employees in new window ( to view the employees in that department)
I used this code

but it gives me an error: FRM-30203: No items on block EMPLOYEES.
FRM-30407: Block must have at least one database item.
Block: EMPLOYEES

and when I click the button I get error FRM-40010 cannot read from employees

but I created new module for employeesOk, so make sure that this new module contains a block EMPLOYEES, save the module as EMPLOYEE.fmb and create the fmx. Make sure the fmx is created and is located in a directory listed in the FORMS_PATH in your default.env (assuming you use 10G)

Open form in new window on dbclick of field

I have a field on a form. When the user double clicks in the field I wantto open up a new form in a new window. I tried putting: ondblclick="owa_util.redirect_url('f?p=&APP_ID.:ZIP:&APP_SESSION.');"; in the Element attributes of the item
but it didn't work. How do you do this?

Creating Link to New Window with Defined Size and Cursor Change

Hello,
I seem to be having a problem having a hot-spot link open a new window and perform the way I want it to. I have tried a few different ways of going about this, as described below:
The first method when defining the hot spot was to use the properties menu provided at the bottom of Dreamweaver when I click on the hot spot. When I test the page, the cursor changes to a hand and I can open the link in a new window BUT I cannot define the width and height of the new window.
The second method was after defining the hot spot, using the behaviors menu from the tag inspector. From here, I would add an Open Browser Window behavior using the onClick event. Here, I can open the new window in a pre-defined width and height BUT when I test the page, the cursor does not change to a hand. It just remains the standard arrow.
The question is, how I can define the hot spot to where the mouse will change to a hand when I scroll over it AND when the window opens, it is set to the width and height I want to define?

I tried placing the cursor script into the code without success. Either I'm not applying it correctly or it could be that the code in use is a combination of html and Java scripting.
Right now, I converted all of the image maps to the behaviors technique because I need the specific window sizes for the application that is being created. Steve, I am using DW CS4, and a sample of the code is provided below:

Tab just opens itself into a new window of it's own.

I usually surf a website that is a browser based mmo. I usually have 3 tabs open as I have 3 accounts. It is only recently that I have noticed 2 bugs/problems with FF, my main one being that FF will all of a sudden decide that one of my tabs must now suddenly be a seperate window of it's own. I know that I am not dragging the tab to form that new window, as it often happens when I have something else on top. The other problem, though more minor is that often when I start FF up it suddenly crashes without having loaded up, though when restarting it after that it opens just fine. Could someone please give me some ideas of how to solve this one.

Quit Safari.
Open a Finder window select your Home folder in the Sidebar on the left. Then open the Library folder, then the Caches folder, then the com.apple.Safari folder.
Move the cache.db file from the com.apple.Safari folder to the Trash.
Relaunch Safari.
If that didn't help, try troubleshooting the Safari .plist file.
Go to ~/Library/Preferences. Move the com.apple.Safari.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Desktop.
Quit then relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, move the .plist file to the Trash.

Firefox becomes semi-unresponsive and freezes when a tab is dragged out to make it a new window.

Basically I may have 10 or so tabs open and wish to drag one of them out of the tab bar to make it form a new window. However when I do this it takes a second or two before the new window appears, and when it does it is semi-unresponsive.
I cannot exit it as when I hover over the red "x" nothing happens and I can't click it. I can't switch between firefox windows properly (it just keeps freezing). I usually end up killing firefox.exe in task manager.

New window everytime when submit button clicked in JSF

I am facing an issue where I need to popup a new window everytime the submit button on my JSF form is clicked.
I have tried several methods but none is working to my purpose.
1. Add a target="_blank" attribute in the JSF form. The problem is that even if any of my ValuechangeListeners get invoked, the page is rendered in a new window. My ValuechangeListeners work on onchange="submit()".
2. Invoke a new window from javascript and name the window as say" new" . Also name the form's target as "new" but this does not generate a new window everytime and also problem 1 persists.
3. If i use actionlistener and onclick event on button in the form, then the new page is rendered in both current page and new window.( javascript for new window is written).
What I need is when a person clicks on submit button in the form, a new window should always popup up and the page should be rendered in the new window. The original form should remain as it is so that a user can again do a submit and get a new window.
Please suggest.

If you need validation to remain in the same window (and that seems like the best for the user experience you have described), then delay the creation of the new window until after the request finishes. I.e., your page should always go back on itself. Under the right conditions (which you can set in your action method) it conditionally writes JavaScript which targets the new window.

I was trying to actually set the target of the form as _blank at runtime during one of the phases of JSF lifecycle ( by using phaselistener). Although its not working as of now. Does this sound a good approach
This is because I dont think that setting it on jsf would work as the page rendering on a new window( in my case) not only depends on clicking the submit button only but it depends on whether the user is done with all vaildations and now has to see the final result into new window.This would be addressed by the conditional JavaScript solution above.

Creating a link in a PDF form to open into a new window

I have created the PDF form and every thing seems to be working fine. But I would like to set a link in the form that would open into a separate page. I have tried target="_blank" and onclick="window.open(this.href, 'child', 'scrollbars,width=650,height=600'); return false" with no success. Can someone give me some direction on how to create a link within a PDF form that will open into a new window?

Issue creating Item Activated Events for a third party form Control in Windows Powershell

I was asked at work to look into converting some of our VB.Net Applications to PowerShell. We use the
QIOS dev Suite for some of the controls to make it more visually appealing. I have been testing to controls out and I can load and create forms with no issue in powershell but I'm stumped on the error I'm
receiving when I add and ItemActivated event. I need to make it so when a user clicks on a given menu Item the form gets which menu item is clicked.

I was able to get the attached code to work in windows 7 with powershell version 2. I have to see why it dosent like windows 8 and powershell version 4.

Open new window in the same form

I created a form with 6 records displayed. I have a check box for each record. I would like to select a record and make the check box checked. Once I check a checkbox I would like to automatically open a new window in the same form with further details of the checked record. Could you please help me how I could work on this.

Dear you have to create relation between the blocks then you can achieve this like:
1) Create two canvases in your form (canvas1 and canvas2).
2) Create a window in your form with name Window2 now you have two windows (Window1 and Window2).
3) now set the property 'Primary Canvas' of each window (Window1 = Canvas1, window2 = Canvas2)
4) Now create database block of you main table with (CAT, NAME, DEPT) fields and select the Canvas1 in the layout wizard.
5) Create another database block with same table but this time select only 3 fields (CAT,SAL, DATE) and at the time of creation mention relation between blocks in the Data block wizard (block1.cat = block2.cat) and select the Canvas2 in the layout wizard.
6) Now create check box field name MASTER_CHBOX in first block and set Database Item property no of this check box item and set the Value When Checked property to Y and N for Value When unChecked.
7) Create a trigger on CheckBox Item and paste below code in it.

Telephone call data has been collected from a company's telephone switch. You have been asked to analyze it and produce various statistics.
Input File
The input file is a sequential file. It is in no specific order. The file contains an extension number, type of call, and the length of call in seconds. A record is produced each time a call is made from that extension. You should create your own test file.
Field     Type     Description
Extension     Integer     Extension number. This is a 4 digit number. Valid Extensions are 2000 to 2020.
Type     Integer     Value of 1 means internal, any other value is an external call.
Time     Long     Length of call in seconds

The problem is if the Window is made modal, it blocks the Outlook to launch and also goes back of the Outlook loading window (Whats New window will not be having keyboard focus). And if the Window is made non-modal (passing false to DisplayWhatsNewDialog()),
Outlook launches properly and What's New window comes at the top but will not be having keyboard focus; instead the launched Outlook window will be having the keyboard focus. May anyone please suggest a way to make the What's New window to be always having

The ShowDialog method will block the current thread. If you want to continue working with Outlook objects you need to use the Show method instead. The key fact is that both methods (Show and ShowDialog) accepts an instance of the IWin32Window interface
which allows to specify the parent window handle. Specifying the parent window handle (Outlook Explorer window) to the Show method you can make your window shown on top of Outlook all the time.
