Create Human Task - Can't add a business object parameter

Greetings,
Working with the appliance virtual SOABPM 11GR1 PS 5.2.0-M. I have modeled a process and now I'm trying to implement an interactive task as a human task. In the BPM Process Navigator, in the properties dialog associated to the interactive task, the create human task dialog, I'm trying to add a parameter being a business object previously defined and which appears in the Business Catalog. When I click the + sign above the Parameters box, in the Data object navigator that opens, I only see the process data objects defined in the process structure but not the business objects defined in the project business catalog. What I'm doing wrong ?
Many thanks in advance.
Nicolas

Nicolas,
Once you have defined a business object in that catalog that only defined the type. You then need to create a process data object of that type for use within your project. Then when you are creating your human task you will be able to drag that process data object as a parameter and the type will be set automatically.
Thanks,
Adam DesJardin

  • While creating master item, can I add a check to copy from template

    Hi,
While creating master items, can I add a check on copy template on the item to ensure item is created using some template?
This will ensure many attributes gets proper value. If template is not copied, in later phases user faces problem with few attributes not being set.

Regarding the final PDF you produce with the Print button; when the user hits the Print button the usual printer dialogue box is launched and s/he can select which pages he wants to print and the number of copies. I think this is what you said this is what your customer wants.
Note: when you add the Print button, within the Acrobat Forms facility, you then go to Button Properties dialogue box and select  Actions, select the trigger (i.e. On Mouse Down); Add an Execute a menu Item, click on Add and select File > Print from the drop-down list. A bit complicated to explain here, but easier enough if you have a play around with it. Acrobat Forms are a wonderful facility – well worth exploring the many things you can do with them. Especially if you set up your document first in InDesign!

  • Can't add new business folders anymore

I don't know why, but I can't add any business folders on our dev server. If I try to add any folders who are not part of the current EUL, Discoverer Administrator always say :
    ORA-00001 : unique constraint (ACAIQ.EUL5_EXP_PK)
OBJECT = (name of table or view that I'm adding)
Now, the strange thing is that I can export the EUL from dev to staging, and on staging, I can add folders with the same EUL as dev :-/

It seems like your id sequence is out of whack with the rest of reality. One thing you could check is to see what the eul5_id_seq current value is, and whether it is smaller than some of the various ID columns in the EUL.
One fix (and most likely not recommended) would be to increment the sequence such that it is larger than the largest ID.

  • Can I add a business catalysts Photo Gallery module to Muse.

Can I add a business catalysts Photo Gallery module to Muse - As my client want to upload images themselves to the gallery.
I know that with the Muse plugin this is not possible. Therefore wanted to see if the photo gallery module in BC would work the same as the Blog Module?
    Thanks

If you're a little familiar with Business Catalyst, you might find this widget helpful.
It's a BC Photo Gallery - Muse Widget, Its very easy to use and customize.
There is a training video on how to set it up.
However Brad is right, you'll need to upgrade to BC webMarketing Plan.

  • Add extra Business Objects to model CRM 2007: Web Client Records

    Hello,
Could anyone tell me how I can add more Reference Objects in Case Management?
I copied the model CRM 2007: Web Client Records and added a new node (with for example Business Object Service Order) just like product and installations (which are visible under the reference objects)
I created a new element type under SCMG_SP_CASE_RECORD --> Z_CRM_SPS_CASE_RECORD and in the customizing we attached the model to the case type under Case Management --> Extended Customizing --> Process Actions --> Assign Action Profile to Case Type.
Still the new Business Object in the model isn't visible under Case Management in de WebUI.
Could anyone tell me if I'm missing something or is there a config guide available how to add more business objects?
    Looking forward to your replies.
    Kind regards,
    Joost Christenhusz

    Eddie,
Are you familiar with Access Control Engine (ACE)?
    Go through this -> http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm50/helpdata/en/04/0177f9bb67ac4cafb84bb4d4c1d8fc/content.htm.
    and https://websmp205.sap-ag.de/~sapdownload/011000358700002121742006E.
Authorizations in CRM are controlled through ACE.
    Hope this helps.

  • Can we link two business objects  in workflow?

    Dear All,
Can we link two business objects  in workflow? My problem is that I have to take a standard BO for triggering my z workflow .But later  in one step  I am using BO which is Z as I am calling a standard Sap transaction in one of the method inside Zobject.
Please let me know how to go for it .
    Kind Regards,
    Anshu Kumar

    Hi Anshu,
You can use the standard BO as the BO for your workflow and trigeger the workflow from its event. To pass values from the standard BO to the custom BO used in the activity step, you need to do proper binding between the std and custom BO in the activity step.
Do proper binding between event -> workflow -> task container.
For assistance on binding in workflows refer to the followng links:

  • How to create universe for sap bw cubes in Business objects

    Hi all,
can anybody tell me the steps to create universe for SAP BW CUBES from Business objects software.
    Thanks.
    Cheta.

    Hi,
In a SAP-BW and BO environment using Business Object Universe generator, it appears that BO requires direct data base connectivity to read data from BW.
In XI/XI R2 , it use an RFC connection (MDX driver, which makes BAPI, SAP API calls) to SAP BW to obtain the details of the BW Query or Info Cube for building the Universe using the XI/XIR2 Business Objects designer application. The request for the query or cube details is done VIA BAPI function calls. For the SAP BW Query we must have “allow External Access to this query” checked under the Query Property window.
Our Integrated Solution Kits do not access the SAP BW’s data source.
    Hope this helps,

  • Can we craeate  custom Business objects

    Hi All,
Can anybody please tell me wheather we can create custom business objects .
<b>I am not talking about the delegation of the standard business object to custom business object.</b>
    If yes then
What can be the scenario where we are going to create custom businessobjects.
    PLEASE GIVE ME A EXAMPLE.
    Thanks

    Hi Prabhu,
I would say you can view this case similar to other ABAP program development. i.e. You should search if there is any std BO available which can serve the purpose , if yes, try to use this by extending or as it is, otherwise you will have to create the Custom Object ( in similar way , as you create Custom Reports during development etc..)
e.g. Consider that you need to start the workflow based on Sales order creation, and assume in system you do not find any BO for Sales order, then you will go ahead and create the one for the Sales order, otherwise you will extend the existing one and use it.
Hope this helps to visualize the situation in which you need to create the BO from scratch.
    Regds,
    Akshay

After I changed JDK from 1.7 back to 1.6 (Java 6 Update 45, 64bit) to run JDev, it worked fine.
To do this, set Java Home in jdev.conf file in %MW_HOME%/jdeveloper/jdev/bin.
    For example: SetJavaHome C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_45
Certification information: Oracle JDeveloper and Application Development Framework 11g
32 bit JDK required for profiling features.
64 bit JDK supported for Windows as of JDeveloper 11.1.1.4.0
For JDK 6, update 39 or later is recommended; for JDK 7, update 10 or later is recommended
JDeveloper bundles Integrated WLS 10.3.5, which does not support JDK 7. To use JDK 7 for JDeveloper and Integrated WLS, you can install WLS 10.3.6 separately and create an "Integrated Server" connection to it from JDeveloper
On Mac OS 10.5 Java for Mac OS X 10.5 Update 8 or later is recommended, on Mac OS 10.6 Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 3 or later is recommended
    My Environment:
