Create Hyperlink in MS Excel that links to an Apple Mail email??

I'm thinking there should be a way to do this. Analyzing financial information, I get numerous emails everyday with information I track in Excel. What I need to do is set up a hyperlink in an Excel worksheet that when clicked, takes me to the individual email message in Apple Mail that contains the source of the information.
Since I use Gmail, I know I can link to the individual email message on Gmail's server. But Apple Mail is where I store and read my email.
If this cannot be done utilizing Apple Mail, is there another email client that permits this??

LinkABoo and the latest version of MailTags (currently still in Beta) let you create references to messages in Mail. I haven’t tried any of them, but I’d rather use the former for this because it’s a non-intrusive standalone application rather than a plug-in. Plug-ins may have an adverse impact on Mail’s stability.

i mean i am not signing up for a new account, just changing my old id primary email which is my apple id login into account.
in other words, www.icloud.com will recognize that it is still me if i login on the site? will i be able to see there all my stored information?
and if i change my password, does it automatically changes the @icloud.com password which should be the same as my apple id pass?

After opening the email it shoud of had you enter the Apple ID and password. Using certian web browser's can cause errors. You can adjust securty settings (big pain) or you use another browser. Using Firefox or Safari should do the trick.
Let me know if using Firefox or Safari resolved it.

* "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
* "Remove the Cookies" from sites that cause problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Captivate 5: how can I create a hyperlink within a slide that links to an internet site?

I need to create a hyperlink on a slide in Captivate 5 that links to an internet site.
I cannot seem to locate this function on the menus in Captivate 5.
Can someone please give me the instructions on how to do this?

It's unfortunate that you missed the links we tried to put where you would find them before you even posted. Because if you had read through them, it would have saved you from having to post your question as it is answered there.
Even though you missed the links, I'd heartily encourage you to read through them. Especially the Frequently Encountered Issues link, as it will also address some issues you will likely encounter with linking.

Linked image in Apple Mail highlighting instead of linking

I'm trying to send an email from Apple Mail with an image that links to a web page.
I made the email by uploading a small html page with the image+ link, then using Safari's Share>Email This Page. I've also tried attaching the image and using File>Add link.
When testing the mail on my working machines (iMac and macBook Pro, OSX 10.10.1, mail verson 8.1) the image highlights with a blue background instead of linking through. If I double-click it opens the image in Preview. Hovering over the image will show the URL in a tooltip, but clicking it only highlights.
The image link works fine on my iPhone, iPad, and older Macbook 4,1 (OSX 10.6.8, mail 4.6), and it works fine on a friend's macbook (OSX 10.9.5, mail 7.3), but not for another friend with the same OS/Mail versions as mine.
Haven't seen any mention of this problem anywhere else and would love to get some guesses as to what might be going on.

I just upgraded to Yosemite and thought I would try Mail again. My first big objection is I want absolute dates instead of relative dates (today, yesterday etc.).

Put the video with the first language on the timeline followed by the video with the second language. Use chapter markers so you can have each video as a chapter in the menu.

Also, I have another question: can I put videos from different projects in the same DVD with Premiere or must all of the videos that go into the DVD be in the same project?

[CS3 JS] How To Create Hyperlinks In InCopy?

I have a client that wants to be able to author hyperlinks in InCopy, both links to named targets as well as links to URLs.
It appears that the InCopy scripting object model does not include the hyperlink-related objects from the InDesign model, even those those objects can be found in an INCX document if a link is created within an InCopy article within InDesign.
I'm trying to figure out what the best/quickest solution is given that I can't do it using scripting. I have already implemented a hyperlink creation dialog that emulates the InDesign New Hyperlink dialog.
Unfortunately, I cannot assume or require that the InCopy users have InDesign installed. If I did I could just create a temporary InDesign doc that linked the InCopy article, create the link there, then save and update the InCopy article.
Given that, I'm not sure how best to go about this.
The ideas I've come up with so far are:
1. Don't create real hyperlinks but use Note objects to capture the hyperlink source and target information. This would satisfy the client's requirement to be able to transform the links on conversion of the InCopy data to XML but wouldn't result in working InDesign hyperlinks.
2. Modify the INCX document directly to add the appropriate hyperlink objects then reload it as part of the hyperlink creation process. Ugly but should work.
3. Use XML markup in InCopy to represent the hyperlinks. I don't like this as much as the Note option because it's less obvious to authors what's going on and is easier for authors to mess up accidentally when they are editing.
4. Implement a full-on InCopy plugin. This is really beyond my current capabilities and the scope of the project.
5. Log a bug against InCopy to request that the hyperlink objects be added to the API. (Probably not going to give me a result in the time I need, even if it's an appropriate thing to do.)
6. ???
Is there some trick or back-door mechanism I've missed that I can use through InCopy scripting?

I did this from the advanced menu to make all hyperlinks work. All I got were boxes around my links that are not clikcable to the web page.
Now I cannot undo this.

How can I Create Hyperlinks on a computer generated Table Of Contents?

I am trying to create hyperlinks on a TOC that was generated in InDesign CS3. It will allow me to make each item a new hyperlink destination, but I would like it to be just a new hyperlink. Is there a way to do this without having to re-type the whole Table of Contents?

Are the hyperlinks you want to make supposed to go to specific pages of the document, or to a url.
If it's to go to pages of the document, then click the Create Bookmarks when creating the TOC, it's in the bottom left, you may need to Show Options in the TOC dialog box.
If it's for a URL, or to link to a different page other than what the TOC points to, then you can
New Hyperlink Destination
Choose URL/Page
Insert a unique name
Insert the url/page no.
Then say ok
Go to Hyperlink Options
Type: URL
Name: Choose the unique name you've created
URL: it should show up as what you've put in the Name, if not just type it in
similar for page no.
Remember to inlcude bookmarks and hyperlinks when creating the PDF too.

To create a Hyperlink in a Workitem, you need to create a container element of type 'CFX_HYPERLINK' with your desired URL as value. Eg. 'www.sdn.sap.com'
Now in the Text editor of workitem description call this container element in HTML format.
Eg.
<A href="http://&<your container element>&">www.sdn.sap.com</A>
Thats it. Execute.

After reseting its linked to an apple Id

so i bought this iphone4s and i was ok with how it came because my thought was it can just be reseted and all the information will be gone no big deal. well thats what i thought when i folowed instructions to resetting it pressing power button and home screen at the same time then relasing the power leaving the home button pressed it turned on the recovery mode . my phone was pluged into the PC while i was doing this
anyways, it tuurned on with the logo of appple and started loading once it was done it welcomed me and did few steps. however when it came to sign in with my apple id it said "this iphone is currently linked to an apple ID ([email protected]) sign in with the apple ID that was used to set up this Iphone" i have looked for an answer but most questions are based on lost passcodes or links to put into recovery mode. Any ideas of how i can make this go away?

You can't make it go away. It is called Activation Lock. Ask for a refund from whomever you purchased the phone from.

When I click a link in email client (apple mail), it does not open in firefox. I have checked both Firefox and Safari and Firefox is the default browser.

When clicking a link in either apple mail or even from a word document, nothing happens.

Try to redo the default browser and make another browser like Safari the default and then let Firefox do it again.

New Apple Mail - When replying to an email, it doesn't maintain the same account that the email was sent to

It used to be that when I replied to a message that was sent to account 4, it would default the reply-from to be account 4. Now, whenever I hit reply, the default sender is account 1... the one that is chosen in preferences under Composing > Send new messages from:...
How do I get it to always reply from the account to which the email was sent?

At time I am not going to try to answer for two reasons. The latest version of Mountain Lion is 10.8.2 and that will update your Apple Mail to Version 6.1 (1498). I hope this is very helpful for you?
