Is it possible to create keyboard shortcuts in RoboHelp? Can
they be assigned to styles?
Is it possible to create macros that work within RoboHelp?
And use shortcut keys to run them?:disgust;

Spotlight will not remember key board shortcut

I can not get spotlight to open using my keyboard short cuts.
I set them to 'option' 'space' and when I close the 'system preferences' and try using 'option' 'space' -- nothing happens. When I go back in to the spotlight system preferences -- my key board shortcuts are gone.

no that's not the case. when I re-open system preferences and click on 'spotlight' (and takes about 45 second to load and open spotlight preferences, strange it's soooo slow to open) -- and I look at the 'spotlight menu keyboard shortcut' -- the earlier assign value 'control space' (using the dropdown) is cleared. I can re-assign it to 'contol space' and then try using 'control space' but nothing happens.

Key Board Shortcuts for C6

Hey Laitos,
I Just want to know the Keyboards Shortcuts of Nokia C6. So one can use this shortcuts for fast
handling of this full featured phone. I had a question in my mind suppose due to some reason
touch screen is not working whereas the display (screen) is ok, in that case how to use this
phone. As instance while operating/working within some application , I want to move back to previous page
the only option available to me was go the right corner of the screen and click the "BACK" icon
using touch screen. so is there any other option on the keyboard to move back and so
on... Even I tried the back space key but it was not working.
Take the case of computer if the mouse is not working there are many options available to
work on computer with the help of KEYBOARD.

All well and good, but how do you get the screen back when you are confronted by a call menu - "if you want billing, press 1, if you want tech service, press 2. To hear these options again, press 3." Since the screen has been disabled automatically, how do you press 1 and/or make a selection? The manual simply doesn't say. Weezy

I am working on illustrator cs6 on a windows machine and i have recently discovered this cool trick of going to the Windows menu and pressing the P key to give path finder and pressing I to give links etc. and i was wondering instead of clicking, can i acess the Menu commands like windows, view, edit etc without using mouse(or by using keyboard shorts)

Resurrect: Can I use the Key Board Shortcuts to use Commands like "Save"(Ctrl+S), "Refresh"(F5) etc?

Many months ago Simon Jones asked if it was possible to capture screen level key events and redirect them to perform functions in our screens. There was some discussion about having to get into the detail Silverlight events and a statement of the high
level of difficulty. I would like to resurrect the question and see if anyone in the community has developed a solution to this that could be applied to all screens in a solution.

Key Board Shortcut for toggling between Activity table and Activity Detail

Is there any keyboard shortcut for toggling between Activity table and activity detail windows. It if frustrating to use mouse while tweaking relationships of activities.

Unfortunately, there are no shortcuts for this. Prior to the Oracle acquisition, Primavera had it as a goal for R7 to allow the operator to keep their hands on the keyboard most of the time, but this feature didn't make it into the final code. I feel your pain!

I have an iPad 4th gen and iPhone 5. Both are running iOS 7 but my keyboard shortcuts won't synchronise.
The ones on my iPad are different to my iPhone but I have iCloud on both and document and data switched on for both.
Can anyone help please? I've tried to reset the settings via iCloud.com and also done a full restore today but my iPad has different shortcuts to my iPhone.

I would like to code a custom button on my webpage that does the same thing as Command f (or Control f) on the keyboard (search a page function). For example on my Roster page with 1700 names LocatedRoster the viewer could click my custom button instead of using the keyboard command for search.

You are planning to do a number of things, so let me first make a suggestion about the overall approach. Instead of: "Before I make a clone of my hard drive I would like to fix this problem so I only have one account with everything in it but I do not know what to move ... or how to safely move it", I would make that clone immediately. And leave it alone until you have completed the reconfiguring and rearrangements you plan to do. This way, if you accidentally do something that needs to be undone, your clone is there with all the originals. By the way, this is the approach I always adopt, whenever I have to do anything drastic with an existing installation.
After all the rearranging etc. of the main drive you just make a new clone that erases the previous one.
The "Deano" account doesn't show up when I go to System Preferences:Accounts. So I assume I must have done something wrong.

You can keep them where ever it is most convenient. As you know, you can create folders within folders, and there is nothing special about the Documents folder. Feel free to ignore it, if that's the way you want to work. You can direct your downloads, the default "save to" locations etc. to the appropriate places, as you work.
Can I create a new place for all my work files and just move them? I know I will have to update linked files within the various software packages but this is not a problem.

There are multiple ways to do similar things. One, built into the system, is to use text replacement. See:

There are other programs you can buy that can do the job in different ways, such as TextExpander. You could also just create a clipping file by dragging your e-mail address to somewhere like the desktop, and then you can simply drag that file to wherever you like to insert your e-mail address there.

Not sure if you have found a suitable workflow. The best option in my view would be the COMMAND EDITOR option.
1. Launch COMMAND --> CUSTOMIZE from Apeture Menue.
2. If you are doing the custom command for the first time you'll have to duplicate the Custom Command menu, this can be done by selecting DUPLICATE on the menue which would by default display DEFAULT.
3. When you duplicate, you ll be asked to save the duplicated Custom Editor.
4. The duplicated custom editor basically will have all the DEFAULT short cut keys and you are now ready to customise it.
5. To customise it, select the Menu action from COMMAND GROUP and simply press the desired short cut for the action on you physical key board.
6. If the SHORT CUT is already used by Apeture, it will prompt whether or not you want to override the DEFAULT, hit yes.
7. As a last step dont forget to hit SAVE on KEY DETAILS tab.

Can you create a keyboard shortcut to insert a css comment (/* */)in DW?

When writing code i like to use shortcuts for inserting commands.
For instance, to insert a html comment, i created a shortcut in the panel for creating shortcuts (you can do this finding in the shortcuts panel the 'insert' option and then find 'comment').
however, i did not find a way to create this for a css comment (/* */) and i find myself forced to use the coding toolbar to insert this.
I would really like to find a way to avoid this. Ofcoarse i can still type it in manually, or use the css rules panel to temporarely deactivate a rule, but selecting a piece of code and then typing a shortcut would be much easier.
Otherwise a great idea for the next upgrade of DW?

I use a Logitech G19 keyboard, which allows you to create one keypress shortcuts for virtually any keypress sequence. It has ten extra keys on the left side of the keyboard which you can program however you please (a total of 30 shortcuts). This particular keyboard is kind of expensive ($200) but there are other less expensive keyboards that offer similar capabilities. Think how many times a day you type <p> or how about <a href= . With a keyboard like this, you can do it in one keypress.

Restating my issue / question...
When I send email from this iMac, there is a string of characters assigned. The characters are all the "alpha numeric" characters on the QWERTY key board. This only occurs when email is sent from this iMac. The issue does not manifest when using any other lap top or computer.
Hence, I have ruled out the issue is a yahoo mail matter.
Again, I can access the Yahoo mail account form multiple devices and send email without unintended assignment of character strings, but when I send wmail using this iMac, the issue happens everytime.
Characters are stacked verticaly in a column. It looks as if all characters (except function keys) are included in the string.
Any ideas?

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Third-party system modifications are a common cause of usability problems. By a “system modification,” I mean software that affects the operation of other software — potentially for the worse. The following procedure will help identify which such modifications you've installed. Don’t be alarmed by the complexity of these instructions — they’re easy to carry out and won’t change anything on your Mac.
These steps are to be taken while booted in “normal” mode, not in safe mode. If you’re now running in safe mode, reboot as usual before continuing.
Below are instructions to enter some UNIX shell commands. The commands are harmless, but they must be entered exactly as given in order to work. If you have doubts about the safety of the procedure suggested here, search this site for other discussions in which it’s been followed without any report of ill effects.
Some of the commands will line-wrap or scroll in your browser, but each one is really just a single line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, and you can then copy it. The headings “Step 1” and so on are not part of the commands.
Note: If you have more than one user account, Step 2 must be taken as an administrator. Ordinarily that would be the user created automatically when you booted the system for the first time. The other steps should be taken as the user who has the problem, if different. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this paragraph doesn’t apply.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

Note: If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before taking this step. If that’s not possible, skip to the next step.
