Create MAPI virutal directory in separate website

Hi,
is it possible to create the MAPI virtual directory in a website other than the 'Default Web Site'. I want to have to separate MAPI virtual directories. One for accessing from the internal network (using NTLM) and one for accessing from the internet (using
basic authentication). The OWA, ECP and ActiveSync cmdlets have the option to specify the website the vdir is created under, but the new-mapivirtualdirectory doesn't have this option.
Thank!
Frank.

I suppose you could add Basic to the list of IISAuthenticationMethods on the existing default directories, but I guess the question is what is the technical requirement here?

  • How can i specify username/password while creating a virtual directory

    Hi,
    i m trying to create a virtual directory in 9iAS on a mapped drive. How can i specify which username password to use to enable to connect to the network mapped drive. Is there any way where we can specify username / password ???
    thanks

    9iAS R1
    Run the report service as a local account with administrator rights.
    On the target server, create a local account with the same user name and password.
    Now you can use the hidden shares ($) for example:
    &destype=file&desname=\\servername\d$\report_output\report.pdf
    9iAS R2 and 10g
    Pretty much the same thing except by default, the report server runs inline. I have not been able to get the entire service to run as a particular user. To get around this, I created a report server service and do not run the reports in process. It uses the separate service.
    rwserver -install rep90_name
    edit <ORACLE_HOME>\reports\conf\rwservlet.properties file.
    SERVER_IN_PROCESS=NO
    SERVER=rep90_name
    Edit service for rep90_name and change it to run as local administrator user you created on both servers and then start the service.

  • Create Mapping As a Flat File Source

    Hi,
    I'm new to OWB, my first project is to load data through flat file to oracle.
    step i follow is,
    =>Create Flat File Module
    =>Create Location Directory
    =>Create Flat File
    =>Create External Table (Synch with my Flat File)
    =>Create Mapping (Simple External Table mapped to table operator)
    =>Create and bind table Operator
    Mapping successfully deployed and but when i want to run it gives me following Error
    ORA-29913: error in executing ODCIEXTTABLEOPEN callout
    ORA-29400: data cartridge error
    KUP-04040: file IPDirectory.txt in FLAT_FILE_MOD_LOC_0 not found
    When I directly mapped flat file to Table in mapping it gives another error
    RPE-01013: SQL Loader reported error condition, number 4.
    SQL*Loader-522: lfiopn failed for file (\\sfs\Analytics\Reference\SIMPLE_MAP.log)
    I mention here that im working on my pc with OWB Client not on server and want to load data through flat file which is on my pc or on our sharing drive.
    Please help me on this issue
    Regards

    Hi,
    OWB generates SQL * Loader code for Flat File operator, if you try to change the configuration parameter to PL/SQL it results in error.
    External tables would be a better choice as it reduces the processing time, disk space required and also makes it possible to use SQL and other complex transformations.

  • Publishing 2 separate websites

    I am sorry, I have searched and searched and still have not found the answer I am looking for.
    I am trying to publish 2 separate websites using iweb. The first website I have made was for a friend, using their own personal domain. When I go into my MobileMe account his site is listed as my own personal domain.
    I would like to publish a second website just using my MobileMe domain and don't know how to do that. Everytime I click on publish to MobileMe, only the first account publishes (I think) and can be viewed.
    How do I publish that second website to the generic url that MobileMe uses?

    You can separate before publishing. Just be sure to make a backup copy of the original Domain file and move it to another located before starting the separation workflow. Using iWebsites duplicate the domain file and rename the copy for one of the sites. Open the duplicate with iWeb thru iWebSites and delete the site you don't want in that file. Do the same with the other domain file, i.e. rename it for the site it represents, open with iWeb and delete the site that doesn't belong.. As you can see in the screenshots that I posted you can have multiple sites, all named in iWeb with a name that indicates what the site is about but not necessarily the same name as the published site.
    You will end up with two domain files in that iWeb folder: Site 1 and Site 2. When opening a site to work on always go thru iWebSites. Just easier and safer, IMO, that way.
    Once you get the sites separated and published keep current backup copies of those domain files. I've created an Automator backup workflow, inspired by Varkgirl's original efforts, that will copy the User/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder and the domain files in it to the Desktop replacing any previous copy there. You can open the workflow in Automator, as described in the Read Me file, and change the destination of the backup. After each edit run the workflow to make sure your backup is current.

  • How do You Create a Virtual Directory?

    Can someone post a specific example of how to create a virtual directory for Oracle Portal running on Solaris? I understand that I need to modify the ORACLE_HOME\apache\modplsql\cfg\plsql.conf file, but can't find instuctions what specifically to do. Do I need to make any other changes?

    Well this is what I thought too but I don't think I'm doing something right. I have a default website on port 80 and I created a second site on the same port. They are two different websites. One is the initial one that comes stock with the osx. The second one I created.
    When I browse to my server I get the second site. How can I get the default to be the one that points to the mail, wiki, calendar stuff, while my second domain is something totally different.
    http://myserver (should be the default stuff like mail.)
    http://myserver/mysecondsite (should be my other stuff.)
    The problem is that when I go to http://myserver it is going to http://myserver/mysecondsite
    What am I doing wrong? Thank you.

  • Is there a way to create a new directory or file in application install directory programatically

    Hi to all,
    Is there a way to create a new directory or file in
    application install directory programatically.
    I want a xml file to be created with in the application
    install directory programatically(not the application storage
    directory)
    I have used the following code snippet:
    var file:File = new File();
    file = File.applicationDirectory;
    file = file.resolvePath("assets");
    if(!file.exists)
    file.createDirectory()
    I am thrown an exception when using this .....Security
    Exception

    Thanks, but my main problem is to delete the locally stored
    data that is stored in the application storage directory when the
    application is uninstalled.
    The data is not being deleted automatically when the
    application is uninstalled, thats why I want to write some file to
    application directory.
    My application is remembering the login username and password
    even I uninstall the application and reinstall the next
    time.

  • Error while creating the backup directory

    I bought a Time Capsule yesterday. As with all of Apple's networking products, it set up like a breeze. Took about 10 minutes. I have two MacBooks running on the network now. I set Time Machine to start working on both of them (one of them has used TM before with an attached external hard drive). The machine that never used TM before is backing up nicely to the TC. On my machine, however, I keep getting this error: Time Machine Error. Unable to complete backup. An error occurred while creating the backup directory."
    Have any of you run into this before and, if so, how do I get around it?
    Both MacBooks are 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 2 GB RAM and running 10.5.2
    Thanks,
    Martin

    Maybe I have the answer for you, TommorowNeverKnows. Somewhere on the forum in the many emails about this subject, someone proposed a solution and yesterday it worked for me. (I'm sorry that I can't find it right now, but I do remember it).
    He (or she) proposed first using Onyx to see whether that solved the problem. If not, then download the combo updater for 10.5.2 and try that. He was unable to run it, however; and I couldn't run it either -- a message about it's not being able to run on "this machine." That might be because the machine was already running 10.5.2.
    In that case, he proposed doing an archive and install from the original system disc (being sure, of course, to save your settings). Well, I dreaded doing that, just because of the time it took, but by yesterday evening I was so frustrated that I bit the bullet. So I archived and installed and was back to 10.5. Then I ran the combo updater and it worked. Then I did a Software Update, and there was loads of stuff to be updated. After all that, I turned on Time Machine and went to bed.
    When I woke this morning, the machine was fully backed up to the Time Capsule with no errors (about 92+ gig). And when I looked at my Time Machine files, everything was just fine.
    So, if you haven't tried this yet, I would say that it's definitely worth an attempt.
    Hope this helps,
    Martin

  • How to create Map report?

    Hello experts.
    I'd like to know how map report works in OBIEE 11G..
    Upon researching and trials, I have successfully downloaded and loaded the MVdemo stuff into my DB. I am able to import layers and back ground map into OBIEE. So at this point, I think I have set up the map metadata successfullly and I am able to use map as one of the view.
    However, I'd like to know how to actually use the map view to create reports that are meaningful with my data..
    I have 1 table, base table, where I have base name, attribute 1...10, latitude and longitude. I also have some fact tables that goes with this table.
    It seems, as I was going through the MVdemo metadata, the cities table doesn't store all of the cities in the world (this is understandable), so the part of Russia where my bases are located aren't found in the spatial data.
    My base table only has latitude and longitude, it doesn't have geographic region names.
    Now I want to create one report that shows all of my bases over east part of Russia on a map, so I want to see a map of Russia with Base names plot all over it.
    How would I be able to do it? Do I need additional tables or data to do it?
    The examples I get from internet seems to be too generic
    Please let me know your thoughts
    Thanks

    Hello
    I like this article:
    http://prasadmadhasi.com/tag/obiee-11g-maps/
    However, I have a few beginner's question..
    1. I notice that the author has a subject area 'Map', which was used to create map.. Is this subject area any different from normal subject or is it created specifically for making maps?
    2. The author has state, city columns in the DB, which was used to map to the report.. In my case, I only have longitude and altitude of my base in the base table, what can I do in this case?
    Thanks

  • " An error occurred while creating the backup directory"

    Hi all,
    I recently bought an external drive because my mac was just about full.
    It's made by Lacie, model # P'9231... (1TB)
    I got it working, for moving and accessing files (I moved the iPhoto library-and that works fine)...  but...
    I told Time Machine to use it as the backup disk, but TM often tells be that the backup failed. I get this message;
    "Backup failed.  An error occurred while creating the backup directory"
    I don't understand this.  I did some experiments with Time Machine, and I've been able to restore some things, but I still keep getting this message.
    I don't know what is getting backed up and what is not..
    Did I do something wrong? Or, more importantly, what is the fix?
    Any advice is much appreciated.  Thanks in advance,
    Jim

    I'm having the same problem.  I just got the drive Saturday at the local Apple store.
    Have you figured it out?

  • Trouble Creating a New Directory to Import into

    I just upgraded to Lightroom 5 today and installed the update to 5.2 on Windows 7 64 bit.  I have run into a problem I never had before.  In the import module I want to create a new directory to import into.  I go through the same steps I did in Lightroom 4, but when I am done, the directory does not show up on the list.  I can find it in Windows Explorer, but not Lightroom.  If I leave the import module and then return, the directory shows up in the Lightroom list of directories.  I have tried this twice with the same result both times.  Has anyone else seen this?  Is there a Fix?

    Thanks that works.  I found that even though the new directory did not show in the Import list of directories when I created it usind the right-click method as I did in LR4,  LR5 is in fact creating it and will import to it.  Another odd thing is when I create the directory using the right-click, Windows Explorer method, the directory list in the Import module flickers like it is adding the new directory.  However, the new directory cannot be seen.

  • How to Create a Temporary Directory?

    Hi,
    I'd like to create a directory with all of the
    nice properties that File.createTempFile gives
    you. However, it looks as though the only way to
    do this is to:
    File tfile = File.createTempFile("blah","", parent);
    tfile.delete();
    workingCopyDir = new File(tfile.getCanonicalPath());
    workingCopyDir.mkdir();
    What I'd like is either:
    File wcd = File.createTempFile("blah","",parent,true)
    where the 4th arg is a boolean "make a directory?"
    kind of arg...
    OR
    File tfile = new File(parent,File.createTempFileName())
    where createTempFileName returns a String.
    OR
    something else that is an equally good solution.
    Now, I've somewhat searched the archive on this but
    got slogged by the large number of hits. I've browsed
    the API and didn't see anything else that would work.
    Suggestions are welcome. Advice on a better place
    to send this suggestion would also be great...
    -Jen

    File tfile = File.createTempFile("blah","", parent);
    tfile.delete();
    workingCopyDir = new File(tfile.getCanonicalPath());
    workingCopyDir.mkdir();While it isn't as good a solution as File.createTempDirectory(), there are some steps in your code that you don't need to follow. You would be able to do the following:
    File tempDirectory = File.createTempFile("blah","blah", parent);
    tempDirectory.delete();
    tempDirectory.mkdir();
    After calling tempDirectory.delete(), tempDirectory still points to the name of the temp file, which can then be used directly to create the temp directory.
    This assumes nobody creates a temp file with the same name as the original temp file between "delete()" and "mkdir()". The likelihood of this happening is not high, but it is possible.
