Create multiple sequences out of multiple clips in Premiere CC

So I have 200 clips and I need to make 200 sequences (only that one file in the sequence). Is there a faster way to do this than go to each individual file and hit create sequence out of clip?

There's no easier way than the "New Sequence from Clip" command. But you can expedite the process a bit by assigning a keyboard shortcut to File>New>Sequence from Clip.

No. Create a new PL with the sequence that you want. You can tell the PL to repeat itself.

Is there a way to create a sequence automatically from a clips settings?

I know you can go in and look at the settings and manually input them into the sequence, but I wondered if there was a way to ideally cntrl click (or something like that) the imported clip and "create new sequence" using the clip settings rather than doing it manually?
If there's not a way to do this, it would be a really handy feature for those of us dealing with multiple formats.

About as close as you can get is to right-click on a single clip and Make Multiclip Sequence. Hit OK to make an sequence out of the single clip. Open the sequence made and delete the multiclip and edit the clip you want back into the sequence.

2.) This does not solve the problem, because I want to synchronize the music: I want to synchronize playlists, ratings, last played statistics etc. between the iTunes and the iPod. Disabling the synchronization once means that iTunes will delete everything on the next synch - and upload everything from the PC again (30GB takes a while + the iPod play settings are gone).
6.) I know that iMac <-> PC sunchronization is not possible. But I would like to see this feature in the future. I have a MAC and I have PC's..

Creating a drop-out in a clip?

A coworker asked me a question that I can't answer, so here I am! He has a clip in his timeline which he'd like to effectively "grey out" for a portion in the middle. That is, he'd like to create a window in the center where the audio and video drops out temporarily without effecting it's overall length or placement. He seems to think he saw a way to just drop out a section in the middle, kind of like dragging one of the ends toward the center, but from the inside out. Anyone hear of this or know how to do it? It's not important as a practical concern, but I am curious to know if he's right.
I suggested he set keyframes for the audio level at the in and out points and just drop the sound there, since the clip superimposed above would cover up the video anyway. I also suggested that he copy the layer, cutting off the original at the out point and the new one at the in point, spearating the two to create the window.

Forgive me if I'm misunderstanding, but if you just want the video and audio to cut out without any fade then using hold keyframes as Dave suggested should work.
But, if you would like to fade them both out then you can use normal or eased keyframes with a bigger seperation between the two keyframes on either end of the drop out.

Is it possible to select multiple clips and create a sequence from each individually? If you select multiple clips and select "New Sequence from Clip" it puts all of the clips into one sequence. Is there an easy way to quickly perform this on multiple selected clips separately?

So now I *have* used Butler with PPro, and it works very well, here's an idea of how to do it:
Import folder of clips
Ensure first clip selected in bin and sorted by Media Type
Most of these commands need shortcuts assigning - mine listed below
Macro:
To create seq from selected clip:
‘New seq from clip’ (Shift+CMD+N)
To duplicate this seq:
‘Reveal Sequence in project’ (Shift+F) - not strictly necessary as it will already be selected
‘Window | Project’ (CMD+9)
‘Edit | Duplicate’ (Shift+CMD+/)
To rename the duplicate
‘Enter’
Various keystrokes to rename as required
‘Enter’ - to make name stick
‘Shift+Enter’ - to reselect that sequence
‘Esc’ - to get out of editing name
To change resolution of duplicate:
‘Sequence Settings’ (CMD+5)
‘Tab’ x 3 (to get to H Frame Size)
‘xxxx’ (to enter frame width)
‘Tab’ x 1 (to get to V Frame Size)
‘yyyy’ (to enter frame height
‘Enter’ x 2 as prompt will say previews will have to be deleted
To then find next clip ready for macro to run again:
‘Open in Timeline’ (Shift+CMD+O)
‘Match Frame’ (Shift+Spacebar)
‘Reveal in Project’ (Shift+CMD+F)
‘Window | Project’ (CMD+9)
‘Down Arrow’ - to select next clip
I tried it with Butler (manytricks.com - free trial, $20 to buy) and it worked a treat, takes about 3 secs per clip
AHK (for windows) is at autohotkeys.com and is free.
You could start making multiple macros - that would enable you to do grade / resize in middle of duplication - and then export etc, but I figure you can figure that out ;-)

How to setup Compressor to create video from multiple sequences within FCP?

I am wondering how I can set compressor up to create videos from multiple sequences within FCP. When I click file -> export - > compressor for a sequence and go into the program, it doesn't allow me to go back into FCP. I just get a spinning beach ball. Is there no way to set it up so I can prep a bunch of fcp sequences within compressor and then click submit and walk away? I have over 100 sequences that need to be exported so it would be a little difficult to do this one at a time. Thanks.

Batch processing
*Step one. Make sure everything in every sequence is rendered.*
*Step two. Make a folder somewhere and name it something relevant.*
*Step three. In FCP select all you sequences that you want to compress and right click (option), choose Batch Export from the contextual menu.*
*Step three point one. In the batch export window click on settings and choose the folder you made in step two for the destination. Make sure Make Self-Contained is not check and include Audio and Video.*
*Step four. Click export in the batch window.*
Once that is done you can close FCP.
Now in Compressor
*Step five. Make a setting that will give you the output that you want (mpeg2, AC3, h.264, whatever). Make a destination for where you want to save the output.*
*Step six. Make a droplet from the settings you made in step five.*
You can quit Compressor now.
*Step seven. Take the files that you batch exported from FCP in step three and four and drop them on the droplet you made in step six.*

Trying to create multiple sequence window

I'm new to swing, and I have a project in which I need to create multiple sequence frame swing program.
To give you a better idea, I'm trying to create something that's similar to a self checkout shopping cart expect there is a frame where I need users to login. I already have a MySQL database setup for that.
Once the user passes the login frame, I need another frame that will show up to displace information, and multiple other frames to come and go.
I learn really well by examples, so are there any place I can find example of this. Thank you

What I need is a transition between different layout. I need a layout say a login layout to finish (run successfully) and it transition to a different layout.
I looked through the totorials and didn't see anything about transitions.
I don't need need something like a desktop with multiple frames being displated at the same time. I need a sequence of frames

Blur out multiple objects in a single clip?

I found a tutorial which explains how to blur an object in a frame by having the source clip on track1, a duplicate on track3 with gaussian blur and a shape on track 2 and then you do composite mode travel matte-luna on the clip on track 3, but how do you blur multiple objects in the same clip?

How do you nest them? This is what I got:

Creating CGImage out of multiple ImageViews

Hey folks!
Newbie question alert!!
I have a small app that uses a couple of imageViews layered on top of each other. For simplicities' sake, I'd like to keep the main interface using the imageViews, but I want to be able to save the composite of the two images as a file that can be stored on the iPhone or e-mailed.
From what I can tell, I need to create a CGimage out of them, but I'm not sure how best to do it.
Is it possible to create a CGImage of one UIImageView data, then add the second UIImageView data onto the image, and then save it out without having to render the CGImage onscreen?
I just don't want to have to go down the path of having to re-do the whole application with CGImages and stuff.
Any thoughts??

It certainly cycles and records from the beginning each time, but the end result is that each take, where one leaves off the next picks up. You could say they're staggered off each other in sequential order. I'm guessing it's because it's one single recording length and it's been subdivided into each take. Question is how do I get each take to go back to the beginning of the 1st take essentially. I want the end result to be a bunch of stacked takes in the audio bin....not staggered.
Don't know if this makes sense, but that's what's going on. It's probably a stupid setting somewhere....I just haven't found it.

Red Raw Source Settings - multiple settings for one long clip?

I have a timeline with red raw material from Red Scarlet 4K. My DOP wants to make some adjustments in the source settings before Grading. I have some long merged clips (with a lot of changes in light etc.) and I have let`s say two different parts of one of the long clips in the timeline, so I tried to make some changes in the source settings for those two clips in the timeline, but the source settings change the master clip and not only the edited clips in the timeline. Is there a way to make adjustments in the source settings separately for every clip in the timeline?
after I open the source settings it won`t show me the part of the clip which I have in the timeline, but the whole clip from the beginning, so I have to search manually where my clip in the timeline begins, so I know how to adjust it. Is there a way that the source settings show me only the part of the clip (or at least an in and out point) I have in the timeline?

In my experience, each .RDC container can only have a single RMD (settings) file associated with it.
To create multiple settings for the same clip, you would have to duplicate the .RDC folder and its contents for each new setting required.
You would then have to replace each use of that file within your sequence, for each new setting required,
i.e. 3 settings would require original plus 2 duplicate .RDC folders, then you'd have to replace each occurrence of that clip with 1 of 3 files that has the proper new setting.
Now, of course, if you're not grading in PrP, I can't say how the color correction software would know which duplicated files or settings to link to.
No, there is currently no way to open the Settings dialog for a .R3D file and have it match frame to a clip in the sequence. Perhaps you could submit a feature request for that option.

Different material formats - multiple sequences

hi,
new to fcp. i'm editing a project where i'm importing source materials in different formats (different image dimensions, framerate, etc.). if i edit all those clips in the same sequence and then render everything, i loose some of the original quality of the clips (probably the cost of rendering?). therefore i thought i should try creating an individual sequence with settings matching for each clip groups i have. is that the smart thing to do? can i avoid loosing quality when rendering clips from one format to another or is it a normal thing?
also, when working with multiple sequences with different settings, is it possible to edit them on the Timeline simultaneously? with each sequence in a tab it's impossible to sync and edit clips from different sequences over time.

i'm working with material compressed in dvpal, video, animation and mpeg-4 videos/images. i guess i can recapture all the material to the same format if i simply render it under some sequence settings in finalcut (right?), but unfortunately this it screwing up the original quality of the material and some videos and images look much less better after the rendering.
one more thing, whenever i import a file into the canvas it shows up in it's original size, and i have to shift-click and adjust the display size of every clip... which is annoying and doesn't make any sense. isn't there an option to set the canvas to automatically scale the clip to fullscreen or to the current dimensions settings?

How to search markers from multiple sequences

I'm trying to figure out a way to search marker keywords from multiple sequences within a single PrProj file. I have several sequences imported into a single project file, and each of the sequences have several markers with keywords. Is there a way to search all the markers from all the sequences without having to select each individual sequence and search each one?

Is there a technical reason why this fundamental feature is not available? a reason other than "because"? that's the reason I got from support chat. seriously, the lack of global marker search is like a dictionary out of alphabetical order.

Can we creat an Apple ID for multiple users?

I work for a company where we are rolling out iPads in big amounts. The problem is that they all need an Apple ID in the training they get about the iPad they receive because they have to install MobiControl on it.
It's no problem to let them create an Apple ID at home, but they have to fill in credit card numbers once they connect at work when they try to install apps. That's the problem... Not everyone want's or has credit cards...
Maybe it's possible to create an Apple ID for multiple users???

You can make apple ID's without a credit card, you just have to jump through a couple of hoops to do it since the default is that people will always give a credit card. The key to making an ID without a credit card is that you try to download a free app first, then follow the 'make an ID' prompt. That will get you the 'none' option for payment.

I would like to add sepia and aged movie to the same clip. I heard it can be done, but have not figured out how to do it.

Normally you can apply only one video effect at a time. But for Sepia, black and white, and others that can be done through the video Adjustments tab, you are in luck.
Aged Movie should already have a bit of a sepia tone.
If you want more of a sepia tone or you want to fine tune the sepia effect you can do it with the Clip Inspector/Video Adjustments tab.

If you're looking for a washed-out sepia appearance, first open iMovie's preferences and turn on the Show Advanced Tools option, which adds more controls to the Video Adjustments HUD and other areas of the program. Select the clip you want to alter and press the V key. Set Saturation to 0 percent, and then drag the Red Gain slider to 143 percent, the Green Gain slider to 90 percent, and the Blue Gain slider to 53 percent (feel free to tweak these settings to customize the results). Click on Done when you're finished. Note that the clip thumbnail still appears in color, as the video was shot, but the preview reflects your changes.--JC
If you need to apply the same settings to all clips, first select the clip you have adjusted. Then Edit/Copy. Then Edit/Select All. Then Edit/Paste Adjustments.
