Create new Interactive Dashboard Templates

How do I create new Interactive Dashboard Templates which would include fix style, colors, graphs, fonts, table style, etc. Guru's Can you please provide me white paper or documentation or guide me through this?

Problem in creating new communication channel template in IR

Hi experts,
I currently have problems with creating new communication channel template in Integration Repository. If I choose the New-Context (Adapter Objects-->Communication Channel Template) the dialog "CREATE OBJECT" is shown. After I have inserted the Name of my template I push the create button.
Then the following error occurs:
STOP: Internal error: Object cannot be changed in display mode
DETAILS: Internal error: Object cannot be changed in display mode(CANT_SET_MODIFIED).
So can anybody help me. Thanks for your help.

            This is genral problem appearing in PI 7.0 with SP12.
            Previously, i have the same problem.
            i.e STOP: Internal error: Object cannot be changed in display mode
DETAILS: Internal error: Object cannot be changed in display mode(CANT_SET_MODIFIED)
            Regarding this we raise an OSS note SAP people.
            they gave the suggestion that update with SP13.
          i discuss with basis team and install the SP13.
           now the problem is solved, i can able to create the Communication Channel Template.

BUG: Advanced Actions duplicated when creating NEW PROJECTS FROM TEMPLATE using Adobe Captivate 8.

Need: CREATE NEW PROJECTS FROM TEMPLATE using Adobe Captivate 8.
Problem: NEW PROJECT (.cptx) duplicates the Advanced Actions originally configured within TEMPLATE FILE (.cpt.).
For example: Template file (.cptl) advanced action "_initializeModule" gets duplicated as "_initializeModule1", "_initializeModule2", "_initializeModule3" within NEW PROJECT. FYI, the original "_initializeModule" advanced action still appears.
MAJOR BUG, what the heck is going on?!?!!! Planning to deploy this template file to use for multiple courses with multiple users, this WILL cause epic confusion across the board.

Similar problem, think they are working on it as well: when dragging a shared action from an external library to a slide or object event, and that action is using a parameter that was already created for another shared action, there will be a new parameter created which really screws up the shared action contrary to this problem. Tip: for the moment do not drag shared actions from an external library immediately to an event, but drag them first to the Library: Reuse Shared Actions in other Projects - Captivate 7 vs. 8 - Captivate blog

Can not create new page from template

I have been working on a new site for the last couple of
weeks and have created several pages using a basic template.
All of the child pages of this template still update when
changes are made to it, however I can no long create new children
from this template.
Any ideas as to what the problem might be.

my guess is that you are opening the .dwt template file and
doing a "Save
As". That page is not a "child" page of the template.

in the new files dialog box, click the Templates tab
from list in left, click This Site Name
from list in right, pick This Template
make sure x is in box to Update if template changes
click okay
save file with filename you want to within this local site

Create new page from template

I created a page, and saved it as a template. I want to
create a new page from the template (creating more pages for the
same website). When I select file > new > page from template,
the list contains <no sites>.
How do I get the page and / or template I already created to
be in a "site" so it shows up on the list. Couldn't find this in
the help file.

So where is the correct location?
I created the folder for this site when I first created the
html page. This is the folder I mentioned. This site folder was
created inside the Documents folder, I believe by default.
As I mentioned, on the first try, I just let it save the
template to this same site folder, which is what it suggested by
default, and it has been there ever since.
I only created my own "templates" folder as an experiment
after your first suggestion. I have now renamed it "Templates"
(upper case T) and the template is still not found with File >
New> Page from Template.
Sorry I am not sure if I understand exactly what you mean by
"A folder in the root of the "local site folder"". Is this the same
as or different from the site folder I created and saved the html,
css, and image files to? (which is in Documents) If different,
where can I find it?
I searched my system for ALL folders named Templates, and
found none that I believe could be associated with DW. Is this in
appdata or hidden location?

Creating an interactive dashboard in OBI with some specific criteria

we are new to OBI and want to create a dashborad which has two drop downs..
selection of the first value in the drop down list limits the values in the second drop down.
and finally on the cilck of GO button, some metric has to be displayed.
metric is calculated by an SQL Query....

Integrating Hyperion interactive dashboard in ADF

Hi i am currently doing a project, i need to create hyperion interactive dashboard with a login page. Is it possible to do that, cos i cant seem to find any tutorial about it.
This is my intended page flow: login page(system will authenticate user) -> hyperion interactive dashboard
Please advice me how can i create a login page integrate with hyperion dashboard in adf jdeveloper for iphone.

Unable to Create New Dashboards

Hi All,
Interesting issue I ran into with today and have been unable to figure out. I didn run into this same error with the same build on another machine.
I'm trying to create a new Dashboard, I've set up the RPD, updated my instanceconfig.xml and nsqconfig.ini file, and then I load up the Presentation Services. It defaults me to the "My Dashboard" dashboard, but I want to create a new one. I open up "Settings ---> Administration ---> Manage Interactive Dashboards" to try to create a new dashboard. Upon opening that link I get the message "You don't currently have access to any shared Dashboards". Now I'm logged in as the Administrator, so I have no idea why it wont give me the ability to create new dashboards, any help?

Hi,
before you can create a dashboard, you must have at least one folder in Presentation Catalog to save dashboards.
So, to create a folder, go to Settings > Administration > Manage Presentation Catalog > Create New Folder

Hi Chi,
Are you by chance just starting with a new presentation catalog from scratch? If you haven't created any shared folder the button doesn't show up. Try creating a shared folder (any) and then you should be able to create a dashboard. You have to base a dashboard on a shared folder, and if you have none then you can't create it. Another possible reason (like suggested above) could be that your user doesn't have the right to create a dashboard.

Clicking "page from template" does not allow me create new pages

I stared designing a site with the trial version of CS4. Of course it involved a lot of trial and error, creating a page and canceling it again etc. At last I was able to design the index page and a few other pages, but suddenly just about 7 days into the trial period, the template started looking different; not displaying the images and displaying the home page article in an improper way. I also discovered that I could not create new pages by selecting file\new. When the new document dialogue page opens and I select "page from template" and then select a site I am working on, nothing shows in the items list. I only see the message "no items". Moreover, the "create" (new page) button is no more a click-able area.
I even tried it by proceeding as if I wanted to design a new site. I click file\new\page from template\the site, but when it comes to the stage where I should select "2 column liquid, left sidebar, header and footer" after clicking “page from template” I don't see anything in the items column. It only tells me "no item."
I thought this problem was due to the fact that I was using the trial version and that the trial version was limited in the number of new pages I could create. So I bought the full version. Alas! I discovered that changed nothing. Right now am stuck. Do you have any suggestion?

I think you're are confusing DW Templates with CSS Page Designs and Starter Pages.
Templates are a DW proprietary device. They permit you to have sitewide elements such as common menus, headers and footers on all your pages along with Editable Regions for page specific content (i.e. the stuff that changes on every page).
DW Templates looks like this (notice the Template Editable Comments):

Creating a New ADF Page Template

I am attempting to create a new group space page template for Spaces that has a floating div on the right side that will have content wrap around it. It should look similar in concept to the image in this link:

This seems like it should be simple enough but I need to allow dynamic content to be added each region with Oracle Composer. Currently when I am testing this and add content the two regions end up in distinct columns. This appears to be a result of the html elements that get wrapped around the content by the ADF tags. Has anyone successfully created a page template / page similar to this or have any ideas on how I might get it to work? Below is the current code I am using:

I understand that you want to be able to select content type when creating a wiki page to a Wiki Page library. In browser ,you cannot add content types to a wiki page library .You need to edit the library in SharePoint Designer.
Open the site in SharePoint Designer.
Click on the library. Check ‘Allow management of content types’ in the Settings section.
Then you can add content types to this page library.
Then you can add content types in the Site Content Types gallery which inherit from the Wiki Content type.
Add the newly added content type to the Wiki Page Library.
In this way ,when you add a new page in the Wiki Page library ,you can choose a different content type .
Edit the content type in Library Settings .Choose Advanced Settings for the content type .Here you can upload new page for the content type .

Hi Eran,
Gret is absolutely right ..The actions are transaction type specific and can be attached along in the customizing as mentioned above by gret , these can then be tested in the SAP gui first for their scheduled and start conditions and then in the ICWC.
There is no special settings for actions in ICWC if they are there in your transaction they will come in the ICWC.
